i think after everything that happens. between kanjigar dying while she wasnt even here and nobody even bothered to call her about it and the nearly back to back losing argh -> argh back -> losing draal -> losing vendel -> draal back only long enough to die for real thing i think shed kind of double down on a whole "do not plan for the future kid okay. dont do it. its not worth it all that matters is what youve got RIGHT NOW okay" philosophy where generally shes always kind of had a very casual heart and never seemed too intense about or hung up on anything because her eye has always been on where she wants to go or what she wants to do and wants to see next. and i think her response to all of these bad things happening would be Wow. And I Didnt Even Value It. This Is My Fault Because If I Loved Them More I Would Have Had More Time. I Would Have Stopped It If I Was There But I Wasnt Because I Am So Selfish. in a slightly maladaptive way.

regardless of if i end up restructing addy or not i do think theyre childhood friends (in my mind killahead wouldve happened WAY earlier while draal was a whelp) and dont actually start dating until after his thing with nom. they never directly tell anybody (because the last time draal was dating it was a whole fucking thing. and also because their dads are friends and would make it weird.) but they do a lot of stupid flirting (his macho posturing to impress her (doesnt work but she likes his dorky ass) and a lot of sneaking off togrther when theyre supposed to be working). i do think he's more of an insecure asshole back then although i think his raging cuntitude in the first few episodes is mostly just the emotional fallout of kanjigars death and not an accurate reflection of how hed act day to day. anyways. i dont think shed be super torn up about leaving him behind at least not more than anyone else but i think he'd take it a bit harder and i can imagine theyd have a "but why cant i go with you :(" "NOT FEASIBLE. besides its only gonna be like ten years ten years isnt that long" conversations. anyways when she does swing back into town she spends the whole trollmarket part of the episode going hey where is draal anyways wheres he at. and i think because hes more mellowed and normal they could have a really strong relationship for that part of the show like i think theyre just incredibly fond of each other and would quickly + comfortably return to that dynamic but maybe a little bit clingier because i missed u :( and i think shed be bummed that she missed so much like. important crap (in my mind she gets back post-bular and is around for the rest of the show in some capacity? unless smth demands she be written out idk.)

i dont knowwwwwwwwwww i just. my thing is that i think the changelings could have an interesting place in the narrative given jims whole conflict is about trying to navigate his place in two worlds neither of which he completely fits in but both of which he needs to be his complete and authentic self. but they shoot themselves in the foot by making strickler the main one and they get sooooo close to doing this with nomura before getting bored and doing it again but worse with strickler. so in my mind i think this is why i was so set on addy being a changeling because i want her to fill that narrative role of someone who's ACTUALLY chill about this dichotomy and who really loves this part of herself without the baggage inherent to nomnoms situation (not acknowledging strickler he did most of that to himself). i just think he needs someone who can show him that its actually genuinely very possible to have both halves of his heart especially post-potion. but man. you cant really get there without dancing around the janus order stuff. and i know if she was real it would just be a cheap lampshade like "welllll shes a polymorph so. no familiar no problem" but that opens up a can of worms that i feel responsible for. and just in general the entire thing has so much baggage. i wish this show was GOOD.
