Bonjour from the Introverted Media Darling!
It’s just like an anxious perfectionist to not want to start this blog “imperfectly.” Well, I’ve lived long enough that nothing arrives at the “perfect” time, so here is the first entry. This blog will be a personal manifesto, confessional, a source of inspiration to others, etc. -- with batteries included. Professionally, I write a Mental Health Moments blog post twice a month on my Hourglass Media blog, so I am very comfortable telling the world about my mental health issues.
I have generalized anxiety disorder, with perfectionism beating at the heart of the issue. Sometimes, I have just anxiety. Sometimes, it’s all about depression. There are rare times that I have an anxiety/depression hybrid. This blog will enter the heart and mind into my inner workings as I navigate personal and professional endeavors. Enjoy the ride!

A millennial with nostalgic, rose-colored, cat-eye glasses with a knack for storytelling through mixed media.
A girlboss who goes to work for her own company, Hourglass Media, 24/7/365, takes on fulfilling projects, and makes Success her new middle name.
A compassionate spirit who tends to put others before herself and sees the value in making foundational changes instead of Band-Aid fixes.

A lover of bygone days who craves 8-bit video games, VHS tapes, and Lisa Frank.
A blessed daydreamer who saw nearly all of her dreams come true before age 30.
A writer with more than 50 journals and uses the written word to express her feelings.
A wannabe Parisian, Londoner, and New Yorker who gifts herself travels and cultural experiences.
A feisty Leia-Organa fangirl who was geek-chic before it became popular.
A perfectionist who wants things her own way but is working toward compromise.

TASK COMPLETION: This can also be categorized as ORGANIZATION. I love to-do lists on paper and looking at my schedule digitally using Google Calendar. This week, we're letting you know how you can remember who you are by creating an inspiration board. For the past two years, I have created my own inspiration/vision board. In the past, I would put all of the magazine clippings, brand tags, photographs, master list of goals and all other keepsakes in a folder or spread throughout my office. Last year, I craved clarity, so I placed my goals in categories and used items to create flaps that would reveal my set of goals per category. I know, I know. How perfectionistic of me.
