steddie ficlet “do u love me”
“Do you love me?”
Eddie glanced at Steve once before doing a double take.
“What?”
“Do you… yknow,” suddenly bashful, Steve looked at anywhere but Eddie. He shifted in his seat before asking again, but with more finality.
“Do you love me?”
Eddie wishes he wasn’t driving right now. He wants to give Steve his full attention. Alas, he thought, maybe Steve feels more comfortable this way.
“Where…” Eddie clears his throat, “where is this coming from?”
Eddie, cursing his predicament, misses the furrowing of Steve’s eyebrows. What he doesn’t miss is the hesitant pause before he speaks.
“You know what, it’s—“
“No, Steve, really—“
“Forget I said anything—“
“Steve, c’mon—“
“Eds—“
“Steve!”
Eddie catches Steve’s flinch in his periphery. He only jerked his arms a bit, but it made Eddie feel horrible. He knows Steve hates raised voices and sudden loud noises, but he didn’t want him spiraling and he needed his attention, damnit-
“Stevie…” Eddie huffed, giving Steve a small smile when he glances his way. He grabs Steve’s hands—which were laying in Steve’s lap, trembling a bit— and rubbed placating circles. “I’m not saying no. I’m not rejecting you. God, never. Just,” Eddie glances to Steve again. “It just caught me off guard is all.”
Steve looks up and meets Eddie’s eyes. Again, he can’t maintain the eye contact, but Eddie makes sure to keep drawing the circles.
“I’m just… nervous. Scared, sometimes, that you’ll leave me. Realize you’re better off.” Before Eddie can object, mouth already open, Steve continued, “and I know! I know, I know, I know it’s irrational. Kind of. But I really don’t want to fuck this up, Eds. Feels like a theme for me.”
And Eddie, God, Eddie has to pull over then. This conversation is way too heavy without risking an accident; whether it be a sudden vehicle makeout sesh or Eddie’s van eating dirt from a ditch, he doesn’t want to find out.
Eddie finally finds a spot to safely park. There’s a little section of gravel to the side of the road, guarded by lines and lines of trees. Steve looks a little ashamed when Eddie gets to look at him full on. Frustrated, Eddie jumps forward and pulls Steve into a sudden, brief kiss. When he pulls back, Steve still looks ashamed, but it’s accompanied with a smile he’s fighting to hide.
With Steve’s face in his hands—cheeks slightly squished—Eddie begins to channel as much passion as he can into his words. “You are not a fuck-up, sweetheart. Your past doesn’t define you, and you’re allowed to have flaws. Shit, I love them all anyways.”
Eddie inhales deeply, then, “I love you. All of you.”
“You do?” Steve asks, softly and a little starry eyed.
“Yeah. I love you.”

“No, it’s fine, but what’s wrong with my shampoo?”
“Fushiguro, you use the cheap 3-in-1 drugstore kind,” Nobara says pityingly in a tone that implies something is very wrong with that. “What, do you also use it as a body wash?”
“Well.” Megumi looks at Nobara like the answer is obvious. It says right there on the label after all. “Yeah.”
“Dude,” Yuuji says with the same horrified look Nobara is giving Megumi. “Why do you hate yourself?”
“Why did I, for even a second, think Gojo-sensei raised you better than this?”
“What? It’s practical!” Megumi reasons, sounding defensive when even Yuuji comments on it. “And it was on sale!”

Date Night
Belly and Jeremiah have been planning this date for weeks. This is the one day that they both have nothing to do, even if they had to move around everything else to make it. Taylor is even supposed to come over and dog sit Daisy.
Belly has been waiting all week for this, she picked out her favorite dress and ironed it yesterday. She ironed it. She never uses the iron, only Jere does. She's got her heels that she loves — the ones that mean Jeremiah's gonna have to carry her home — and a brand new lipstick she picked up after work yesterday.
Jeremiah looks like sin in his suit. She would know, she helped him pick it out. And so what if she's jealous of a pair of pants? You would be too.
The only problem, is that she's sick. Like, can't even get out of bed without throwing up sick. And part of going to the fancy restaurant that she knows Jere made reservations for, is getting up. She's so fucking disappointed, but she knows Jeremiah has been looking forward to this for weeks. She doesn't want to upset him, ever. And here she is, doing just that.
"Bells! Hey baby, why are you still in bed? Are you okay, you look a little bit off?" he winced at his choice of words, barging into the room. God, she loved how attentive he is.
"I'm fine, I'm just waiting for this DayQuil to kick in, and then I'll start getting ready. We still have time, right?" She really doesn't want him to worry too much, she's sure she'll be fine.
"Bells, if you're not feeling good we'll just stay in. We can go out some other time, date night isn't as important as your are babe." And she knows she's said it before but God, she loves this guy.
So in they stay, and he makes her soup and they watch Never Have I Ever while cuddling with Daisy — she also likes Belly's favorite tomato soup. And even in sweatpants, he still looks like good, even if he just chuckles and shakes his head when she tells him that.
They did promise in sickness and in health, afterall.

Ah, I have never understood the importance of losing someone, especially a mother, in any story as what I saw in my liberation notes.
they were cleaning up the house after their mother's funeral and did the things their mother did before that. Mi-jeong threw away the burnt rice that was the last meal her mother made. Ki-jeong washed and spread her mother's clothes like other clothes of family members who were alive. Mi-jeong put her mother's boots in a shoe rack.
there was a kind of pause in all these works as if they wanted to remind of their mother a little more before erasing them.
Chang-hee takes care of his father instead of his mother and cries when he eats food that is no longer cooked by his mother.
all this just makes me cry with them without saying anything. with every look and tears I see in their eyes....

My Top BL Series Couples
Let me start off by saying I haven’t watched too many bl shows but so far these are my fav!
1. Hao Ting and Shi Gu
they are in my number spot (despite the last episode that robbed us of our happy ending) because they have a nice kind of enemies to lovers plot but it’s not terrible. They are a nice high school lover trope that isn’t cringey and they really grew to be a lovely couple that didn’t rush too much. I’m glad Hao Ting was ready to sacrifice everything for Shi Gu, he literally said whatever he chose to study in college wouldn’t matter as long as he was with Shi Gu. THATS LOVE RIGHT THERE AND I WON’T SETTLE FOR LESS.
2. Adachi and Kurosawa
Cherry Magic was the first bl drama I ever watched and I’m glad to say this was my first because it made me want to watch more. Although I didn’t get to see the movie, I absolutely loved the show. I love Adachi especially, he’s a relatable character that I really enjoy. Kurosawa is a bold and nice person that was ALWAYS respectful to Adachi and never crossed the line. He was absolutely memorable and sweet and was nothing but lovely to Adachi. The whole plot of the show was super interesting too which added to the amazing roles each character played. I really love the ending too and it made me super happy to see their conflict resolved and happy and cuddly. Miss them a lot 💔.
3. Tang Yi and Shao Fei
IT WAS REALLY HARD TO PUT THEM IN NUMBER 3! But they are another enemies to lovers trope I enjoy. I won’t just watch this show for them or the other couples, but the amazing plot of this whole show. The plot twist will always get me. Anyways, I love them a lot and I love that this drama was dramatic and funny as much as it was romantic. These are my fav boys and nobody can stop me from posting them over and over again.

So Erica Max and Lucas looks really upset and are going into creel house. Everybody in the dnd game got knocked out except for Erica who saved the day, and Max and Lucas weren't at the game at all so if the party gets sucked into the upside down or almost killed or something it would make a lot of sense if they were the 3 that were left
#stranger things#max mayfield#lucas sinclair#erica sinclair#also i think that eddie is aying guitar to save a lot of ppl i thought maybe the town but maybe the party if theyre all taken by vecna?#bc vecna was who they were fighting in the campaign and who killed them all so yeah thats my solid theory vecnas going to get everybody#except max and lucas who both were invited but refused to go#and from inside the upside down eddies gonna play music to save all of them from inside the upside down#i still kinda want it to be the whole town and have the upside down revealed to everybody and everybody knows that eddie saved them#bc honestly thats the only scenerio i can imagine where any of this actually helps eddie not go to prison bc how in gods name#does finding vecna help with that in the slightest#also i want erica to have an even bigger hero moment and lucas too bc the sinclairs saved the day in the begining#so thats probably lucas beating up jason in the physical aspect representing the basketball game#and erica will do some crazy joyce byers level upside down sleuthing or something and shell deal w the supernatural element#shit i thought of that while writing it and now it seems very likely and i neeeeeed the sinclairs to save the day so bad#bc they deserve it#and they have that power#i want eddie to have a hero moment#i want max to really have a moment to express herself to her friends#i feel like the times that this show really succeeds and also where it goes wrong most often is characters as plot devices bc they do need#to be devices like steve is introduced in season one as the dick boyfriend and then the good boyfriend and then they didnt know what to do#with him so they stuck him with dustin who they also didnt really know what to do with and it was great#they introduced robin bc they needed somebody that was really smart and she stuck around bc she found a good dynamic#on the flip side joyces original purpose was to be mama bear totally unhinged legend but then as the seasons went on they knew less about#what to do with her so they tried to pair her up with murray and it didnt work bc her original purpose was better#i feel like they havent really known what to do with lucas since season one when his purpose was naysayer#but now i love him as like....ok we all started out as skinny nerds and now i guess im the tallest and im sure his dnd char is a warrior#and then erica was basically a cameo in s2 and then in s3 they were like we need somebody small enough to sneak thru new child yes good#and shes suceeded as a character bc they gave her a new place that worked instead of leaving her in the place they were and hoping#it still works (mike will jonathan) or actually force the character into a totally new spot

Some time ago , the Qilin had managed the feat of convincing her companion to allow her to come along with him on ( some of ) his travels. While she gave the excuse it was to ensure his s a f e t y , it was likely in part because she m i s s e d him when he left. Two birds , then ; she could absolve herself of her worries and woes in one stone. She could not deny he hardly needed her , either ( he was entirely capable on his own ) , but she was there nonetheless should things go awry.
It is an unprompted gesture , the way she kneels behind him and tangles ‘round him whilst he’s settled into a trance-like repose. Perhaps she was encouraged by the unspoken curiosity that so obviously brought her to his side , or perhaps she wanted to further disturb the b o u n d a r y standing ‘tween them - pressing pallid claws ‘gainst the firmament as if to test its ( or his ) resolve. But there is no ulterior intention , no ill nor aggression in what she does. Though what she gains in return is what ASTONISHES her most ; the great Hunter – for once – seems to almost r e l i s h in the attention she provides , the rumbling notes of a contented purr hitting the pads of her fingertips where they rest overtop thin fabric. Despite being the one to approach , to have inspired the reaction , Lhore is at a l o s s .
When composure returns , she smiles , horned head careful in the way she tips it to rest ‘gainst his ; cheek-to-cheek , eyes lidding in savoring of the rare occurrence ‘tween the two. She does not elect to press him further , though her arms t i g h t e n just slightly with a need to keep the dhampir close A LITTLE LONGER .
