AAAA ok so update on meeting that girl for the first time. Pretty sure you’re absolutely right, thanks for the help <3 Going to try to keep this update somewhat in order: When we get to the meeting place, we realize we have no clue what anyone looks like + no one knows real names, so my family goes to sit down. Meanwhile, I see a REALLY PRETTY GIRL (who I highly suspect is LGBTQ also (I’m pan) but didn’t get to confirm) standing off to the side. Anyways, I said something to my parents about if we had a way to contact her or her parents somehow and the girl I had seen just snaps up to look at me and there’s just a silent “YOU” that passed between us because she recognized my voice from when we play games together. Anyways, yeah she’s SUPER PRETTY???? jshdkdja So after talking to confirm via online aliases, we both get VERY nervous and kind of mumble awkwardly to each other in greeting. Everyone else gets along great right away, so that’s good. BUT THEN we go on the tour and I’m kind of mumbling some comments about things we saw and she laughs and !!!!! We start talking and literally will not shut up by the end of the day. Like, we get along so well???? Even as we were walking back to the cars at the end of the day, we were staying together just talking the whole way. + after the tour we went out to lunch / early dinner and got ice cream. AND apparently she just recently found her first shark tooth and is really interested in them. Since I live like.. 30 mins max from the beach (with tons of teeth!!) I decided to invite her to the beach and now we’re planning to meet again sometime to go look for shark teeth together + she doubts that the aquarium is very interesting so I may or may not take her there too afterwards to prove her wrong :D (context: we have one of the largest, most interactive aquariums and, as someone who normally dislikes going literally anywhere, even I find it really fun). Anyways, today was great and she’s amazing and we’re definitely planning on doing more stuff together soon!!! As I’m typing this, I’m actually waiting for her to come online so I can finish teaching her how to play a game I like (we played for like 4 hours and haven’t even made it through the tutorial yet bc we were laughing too much and getting way too distracted just messing around last time) for the next few hours (aka probably until 2:00am or so-)

But yeah, you’re most likely right. Which also kinda scares me bc I’m also demi and I’ve never felt like that before?? So it’s weird just meeting her for the first time and instantly getting along THAT well. Your advice absolutely helped though, so thank you again <3 I probably wouldn’t have recognized what the source of nervousness was otherwise + I was basically mentally repeating “just act natural, just act natural, …” the entire first half.

Other great stuff: she sat next to me on the bus!! we hadn’t really talked aside from the mumbled greetings at that point and she could’ve easily sat with her family, but NO. She chose to sit next to me instead. we’re also just generally interested in a lot of the same stuff (but in a way that weirdly compliments each other?? Like, same general interests but different aspects of them that often are best when working together). Also pretty much the exact same sense of humor (hence us laughing and talking so much after my initial muttered comments about the tour). Overall, just AAAAAA jshsjdja it was so much fun and after the initial awkward mumbly stage we both were just having a ton of fun.

This sounds like it all went SO well!!!! I’m so glad!!!! I hope it continues on, and even if it doesn’t, you should still be so proud of yourself for getting out there 🥰

A/N: I AM SO SORRY I TOOK SO LONG TO GET THIS UP BUT ITS FINALLY HERE AAAA!! If i’m being honest, I’m not a big fan of the way I ended this bc it felt rlly unfinished but I felt the need to get it up as soon as I could. I hope you guys enjoy and sorry for the long ass wait 🥺

Part 1

Fred landed at the beach just outside his aunt’s old cottage.

The place he proposed to you

The weather was unironically cloudy and cold—identical to the way he felt.

Chills ran up Fred’s spine as he wandered around the beach, taking in the beautiful, calming scene around him. It reminded him of you. More specifically the way you were always remarkably gorgeous without effort, even in your darkest moments, and the way you soothed him with your embrace and kind, loving words.

It made Fred hate himself for abandoning you. You were fragile and even the smallest inconveniences would chip away parts of you that made you happy and whole. Everyone,especially Fred, knew this. He knew that you had cracked when the war broke out and he almost died. And he knew that this time, you had completely shattered, and it was all his fault.

He made his way up the sandy hills, marching through some of the long grass that had sprouted up and halted when he had reached the top. His eyes fluttered closed as he inhaled the salty scent of the ocean, thinking of the day he proposed

One year ago

“Fred where are you taking me?” You giggled as you trailed behind Fred with your hand intertwined with his.

The two of you, and George, had been helping Bill and Fleur fix up their aunt’s old cottage. It had been a long, hard day of redecorating and repainting and the sun was almost completely set

“You’ll see soon enough my love. We’re almost there.. Okay now close your eyes and wait here for a few seconds”

You nodded in response and heard Fred’s soft footsteps shuffling around in the sand. You shifted your weight back and forth between your left and right foot and giggled when you heard your boyfriend curse at the sand under his breath

After a few more seconds of shuffling, you heard Fred whisper

“You can open your eyes now, love”

Your eyes fluttered open slowly and you expected to see his face inches from yours but much to your surprise, he was on one knee clutching a small, black velvet box that fit perfectly in the palm of his hand with a heart shape dug into the sand surrounding the two of you. Fred steadied himself and gazed up into your eyes

“Y/n, these past 6 years with you have been unbelievably amazing. You have shown me what love and true happiness feels like and I will be forever grateful for that. There is no one else I would rather have by my side for the rest of my life, besides George of course,” He joked as a tear cascaded down your cheek

“no one else that I would rather give my love to, wake up next to every morning, have lots of little Weasleys with, and no one else that I would rather marry than you. And the war last year made me realise that I didn’t wanna wait any longer for this. So, Y/n Y/m/n Y/l/n.. Will you marry me?”

Tears of joy were now uncontrollably streaming down both your cheeks as you chuckled and silently—but enthusiastically— nodded your head

“Yes! A million times yes!” You exclaimed and pulled Fred up, bringing your hands around the back of his neck and pulling him in for a kiss that was so full of love and passion that it made his head spin

Present

Fred let out a loud, broken sob and collapsed onto his knees remembering the memory that had once made him so ecstatic. He stayed there with his face buried in his hands for what seemed like hours while mumbling ‘I’m so sorry’ repeatedly to the empty space in front of him

Fred lifted his head back up and the sun was barely visible on the horizon.The sky had slightly cleared in the few hours that he had been there and it became a flurry of yellow, orange, purple and pink streaks.

It was a beautiful image. It was one that you wished you could share with your dearest loved ones when things were bad. It gave Fred the a sense of calmness that he needed to clear his head

“I’m gonna make this right” He stated and disapparated back to the Burrow

“Here Y/n/n, have some cake, love” George offered to you. A grateful grin appeared on your face as you took the small, fragile plate with a slice of cake on it from him carefully and snuggled into his side. You sighed tiredly as he wrapped his arm around your shoulders

“Something on your mind?”

“Well.. I’m just worried Georgie. What if he’s done something reckless and got hurt or can’t get back to us—?”

“Don’t worry, love I’m right here” Both your heads turned towards the front door, and there, stood the one and only, Fred Weasley

You immediately sprung off the couch and out of George’s embrace, dropping the plate of cake in the process, and ran towards Fred. You jumped on him, wrapping your legs around his waist, and buried your face in the crook of his neck.

“Oh my Godric! You’re okay” You squeaked and hugged him tighter. He let out a quiet chuckle and gave you a kiss on the top of your head before setting you back down on the ground. He looked at you with a faint smile on his face, looking as if he was trying not to break again

He didn’t manage to keep the facade up for very long. He pulled you into his chest and burst into tears. Through his fit of sobs, you could hear him choke out an apology

“Shh it’s okay, Fred. We don’t have to talk about this right now..” You cooed soothingly—but slightly muffled— into his chest. You pulled away to look up at his face

“How about you head up for tonight? We can talk in the morning” Fred nodded and started to trail off towards the stairs with your hand wrapped inside his but stopped when he realised you weren’t moving

“A- Are you not coming up with me?” he hiccuped. You opened your mouth to answer but George beat you to it

“Actually Y/n, I think you better head off to bed. I need to talk to Fred”

Too tired to protest, you muttered an ‘okay’ and tread up the creaky stairs of the Burrow leaving the twins alone to talk.

Fred awkwardly stood in the room and rocked back and forth on his feet looking anywhere but at George who was patiently waiting for you to be out of earshot

“I’ll get straight to the point,” He snapped, “I hope you’ve acknowledged that you messed up, Fred. Y/n spent the last 5 hours crying and worrying about you, wondering what she could’ve done wrong for you to walk out on her like that—”

“She didn’t—”

“I KNOW SHE DIDN’T,” George sighed in frustration, “I’ve tried to mend her as much as I could, but the rest is up to you. She’s like a sister to me and I don’t wanna lose her because of something stupid that you did to hurt her. Now go up there and make it up to her and don’t ever take an amazing person like her for granted— because we both know that Y/n won’t give you a 3rd chance”

Fred nodded and trailed up the stairs towards his childhood bedroom, not knowing how to respond as it was a little unusual to see George so serious and worked up about something.

Fred quietly pushed the door open, expecting you to be asleep and not wanting to wake you. He stepped in and felt his heart ache at the sight of you curled up in George’s bed with tears streaming down your face, with muffled hiccups coming from you and clutching onto one of Fred’s christmas sweaters, staring at the floor

You peered up towards the doorway where Fred was standing. Your teary gaze shifted back to the floor next to a small mound of clothing. Your hushed hiccups ceased and the room was filled with deafening silence

Fred’s shoes came into your line of sight and his hand made contact with your shoulder.

“D’you wanna move over to my bed, love?” He whispered gently. You lazily nodded your head and sat up. You made your way over to Fred’s bed and hesitantly lied down on the edge of the mattress. A deep sigh left Fred’s lips as mattress dipped next to you

You unhurriedly shifted around and stared into Fred’s cinnamon coloured eyes with your own Y/e/c orbs. You noticed that they were bloodshot and slightly puffy, but nevertheless, they were still as enchanting as always.

You cast your gaze down towards the pillow, taking a deep and shaky breath. “Be honest,” You said in a voice that was barely a whisper, “Did I do something wrong?”

“No!” Fred exclaimed suddenly, making you jump, “Sorry I- No, you didn’t do anything wrong. I just—I was being a git and I was just doubting everything, you know? I was.. I was anxious that you didn’t really wanna marry me or that I wasn’t actually ready” he said in a quieter voice.

You nodded and sighed, succumbing to the warmth of Fred’s chest and absorbed what he just confessed.

You decided to leave a lot of things unsaid. Knowing that he was willing to come back and make things right again was enough for you to give him another chance—though you knew you would no matter what he had done anyway.

The familiar sound of Fred’s heartbeat reminded you that he was there, and there for good, along with the feeling of his arms tightening around your frame and your entangling legs. Things were at a fair balance once again, and the two of you couldn’t be more content with your journey of love

He knows his way around medicine a bit and he’ll feel SO terrible for not noticing sooner. Once he arrives at your bed, he’ll try to put on his serious voice to scold you for not speaking up sooner but honestly he can’t keep it up. He’s so shaken.

Fusses over you. He knows you need some peace and quiet but how is he supposed NOT to fuss over you??? Knowing he could’ve lost you is no joke!

“Why didn’t you tell me? Didn’t you notice? Are you alright? Do you need me to stay home more? Can I get you something? How are you feeling??” hashirama shut up challenge: failed

The more he sees how close it was for you, the more quiet he’ll be. He’s honestly so terrified of losing you, and there’s SO much guilt in him for leaving you alone. So once you feel a little better, he’ll have calmed down enough to have a serious but very emotional and kind talk with you about how you should ALWAYS tell him when something’s wrong with you. Please. He needs to know in order to help you.

If you didn’t even notice until it was nearly too late, he’ll skip all that and go straight to doting on you. He’ll do anything for you, and might even insist on you staying in bed even when you’re already feeling fine again.

Honestly, those words make him freeze on the spot for a moment. His brain doesn’t wanna process that. You? Nearly dying? While apparently safe and sound in the village? Uh-uh.

“What?!”

You won’t have to tell him where you are, this boy can sense you anywhere in the village. He’s learned to pick up the faintest traces of you - just in case. Just in case something like this happens.

Honestly he probably doesn’t even wait for you to explain yourself he’s running/teleporting to your side asap no questions asked. He needs to see you’re okay. He’s panicking.

Like, he knows they wouldn’t let you call him if you were still at the verge of death but asdfghjkl nothing makes this man’s brain stop working like knowing his spouse is in danger.

If you ignored the signs oh man he’ll be so mad. Like, he probably would’ve ignored the signs himself too, but it wasn’t him, it was you and that’s different. But one sad look from you and he’ll literally bite his lip to shut himself up. Decides to give you your verbal lesson once you’re out of the hospital.

If you didn’t realize how bad things were, he’ll still be grumpy, but more so because that makes it even more his fault for not being by your side. SURELY he would’ve noticed earlier, right?

He fusses over you in his own way. There’s no “the medicine is gross i don’t want it” with him, you’ll take that medicine and if it’s the last thing he does. He’ll take time off work for as long as he possibly can (and maybe a liiiittle bit longer) to make sure you’re really alright

Gets irrationally angry at any medical staff if your situation worsens and they can’t explain why. Threatens to bring his brother over if they don’t figure it out real quick.

Generally pretty unpleasant to be around but it’s just because fuck you scared the hell out of him. The thought that he could’ve lost you during a normal day at work? It fucks him up pretty bad. You’re the sick one but it’s good if you take the time to comfort this boy bc honestly he needs it.

Goes through the five stages of grief right then and there. 

Doesn’t get angry or anything, just very serious. Very quiet. He drops what he’s doing and hurries to your side right away. Nobody’s gonna tell him no.

Honestly his mind is fucking racing and he’s so overwhelmed by what the hell’s going on so he tries to stay super serious and quiet and calm because he doesn’t wanna freak out. He doesn’t wanna freak you out.

Has no idea about medicine but insists they explain everything to him anyway. He needs to know what went wrong and if it could happen again, what he can do to help.

Honestly probably figures out some sharingan trick to check your vitals idk how but he works on it until he’s got SOMETHING to give him some kind of reassurance.

Once he finally sits down next to you, he tries to calm you down, because he remembers sitting at the bedside of wounded or dying soldiers and how panic gripped them, so. Even though you’re out of the woods already, he wants you to be calm and to feel looked after.

Also questions you, personally, about what happened. How you felt, how it went down, which signs you noticed, etc. You can probably feel his hand shaking a bit and the frown on his face but he tries to be calm around you, still.

Takes you home as soon as possible, though, because he just feels like you’ll recover there better. He’s got doctors in his clan, and being home helps.

Makes sure everyone dotes on you and brings you what you need. He’s got a lot of duties and can’t slack off, so whenever he really has to leave, he makes sure there’s lots of people you trust around to look after you.

He’s in such a shock, he’ll probably stay on the phone with you wayyy too long just discussing what went wrong. Like shut UP izuna and go OVER there!!

He’s mad but not at you. He’s just generally in a terrible mood when he arrives because? How couldn’t he be? But then he sees you, giving him a weak / hesitant smile and you’ll see true worry in his eyes for the first time. Like, this whole time he was like “oh this girl is gonna GET it how DARE she not take care of herself????” but then he sees how hurt / weak you are and he’s ok oh. OH. fuck. That was a close call. He can’t handle that.

Doesn’t care at all what the medical staff has to tell him, he wants to hear everything from you. Definitely wants to be alone with you too, because he’s feeling so weak and vulnerable he doesn’t want anyone to see him like this except for you (and even then he’s got a bit of a difficult time showing it)

ALSO doesn’t really believe you when you say you’re doing better. You thought you were fine before and you nearly died, so ??? what if you’re still in danger??

Honestly doesn’t talk a lot this whole time. he knows he should comfort you but he’s struggling. you’ll probably have to comfort him for a while asdfghhjkl

But he also remembers being wounded and far closer to death than anyone wanted to admit, and he remembers that fear that gripped him. So he understands how you felt and doesn’t snap at you for “hiding your pain” but words of comfort don’t come easily to him

It’ll be easier once you’re released from the hospital. He’ll feel more comfortable at home, and will probably be more confident that you’re really okay. Will stay by your side any chance he gets and gets super snappy with Madara if he tries to make him work. He just. Wants to hold you for a while. Helps him process things ;W;

EVENTUALLY, when you’ve recovered and this moment is just a bad memory, he might tease you a bit about it, depending on how you’re feeling about the whole situation. if you can laugh about it, oh boy, he’ll give you so much shit - but if it’s something that still scares you, he’ll know to shut his fat mouth

While reading chapter 10 I was like 👁👄👁 just in case something bad would happen to them 😭 bc ahhh I just want my poor babies to live happily after the turmoil 😭😭😭😭 and Felix 🥺🥺🥺 oh Felix 😭 he always lives in my heart. I’ll say out of all the chapters in the series, the final one with Felix always hits hard

I think the only thing that threw me off a bit w/ the finale was the pacing? but tbh I was too busy clenching my butt in case something tragic happened to Chan and y/n to really care much 😂 I JUST WANT MY SHIP TO LIVE!!!

Probably straight? Maybe. Idk bc she is attracted to the males of her own species but she also happened to be attracted to a male of a different species...so I’m not sure how straight that really is.

8D aaaa YES! okay okay...so Inlustris actually means “starlight” in Latin, and she’s named this because Reptmalian royalty is supposed to be descended from living stars! “Starlight” also happens to be her nickname (although the only one who really calls her that is Milo)

5. What’s their relationship with their parents like? What about other relatives?

Inlustris HATES her dad, which is pretty obvious I suppose, she’s also pretty angry with her sister as well and has basically “disowned” both of them as relatives and only refers to them by name. She barely remembers her mother, but she’d visit her tomb every so often and bring some flowers, which was always very relaxing. Inlustris never really met any of her other relatives, since she was so overprotected, but she wishes she’d got to know them better as they could’ve been helpful allies for her.

8. What do they believe will happen to them after they die? Does this belief scare them? In Reptmalian culture, it is believed that royals will return to the stars after they die and become part of the big galaxy that can be seen from the planet Thiolia. This doesn’t scare Inlustris, but what does scare her is being separated from her loved ones once she’s gone.

9. What is their favourite colour? Favourite animal?

Her favourite colour is purple! Like, a very light, pastel purple. Inlustris’s favourite animal is the Lantern Dragon (a creature on Thiolia) she wishes she could see one in person someday.

10. What are some of their talents/skills.

Inlustris is a very resilient fighter and is fast to think and act. She is incredibly talented when it comes to science and technology, and is able to build, invent, and fix most machines or prosthetic limbs. She’s also gotten very good at some medical things, mostly involving deep wounds and small surgeries.

11. If they could make a mark on history, what would they like that to be?

I’m going to make this sound at least cheesy as I can but, she would want to be known as someone who stood up for the oppressed and fought for inter-species marriage rights as well as the rights of humans. She’d also like to be known as the one to reveal the true nature of her father.

12. How old are they? When is their birthday?

Inlustris is 16 (in Reptmalian years, she’d actually be 18 if she was human) when we first are introduced to her. Her birthday is actually coming up! It’s June 3rd (The day I’m pretty sure I came up with her idea and design).

18. What languages can they speak? Where did they learn these languages?

Inlustris can speak Reptmalian, Universal, and a small amount of English. She learned Reptmalian from her family and general studies (it’s her first language). Her sister actually helped her learn Universal, since it’s a language that is used very frequently. Inlustris has picked up small words and bits of English dialogue from living with Milo.

26. Are they aware of their flaws?

For the most part, yes. Although she often pretends to not notice them and remain in ignorant bliss, until they start causing problems.

Only when someone points them out to her. She’s been so neglected for most of her life that she finds it hard to see what she’s good at.

Inlustris would describe herself as “the helpful extrovert gets excited to easily”

Fight fight fight!! She’s a fighter at first response, but knows when it’s best to run.

Her biggest fear is losing her freedom again, and would fight it with every ounce of her strength.

Talk over her, interrupt her, or completely ignore her altogether. (It’s about the disrespect)

Inlustris, when she’s really laughing, sounds a lot like a kookaburra but more dinosaur-like, and she totally snorts when she find something really funny. She laughs a lot, but it’s mostly just giggles.

62. Have they ever been betrayed? How did it affect their ability to trust others?

YES. Her gosh darn sister has gone behind her back (more than once.). Inlustris is a very trusting and forgiving person, but since her sister betrayed her, she hasn’t been able to trust anyone of her own species. (And for good reason.)
