It’d really come down to communication? In a vacuum, sex is very important to her. Durge really screwed up her relationship with it. It wasn’t exactly smiles and rainbows in the murder temple, you know? But if it’s something you “care” about, and the act feels good, it must be positive, right? Sex is also like. Associated with control. 

However, in a genuinely loving relationship post-worming, if her partner explained their own feelings on the matter, she’d likely respect it. I think…if it were a permanent situation, she might have more difficulties? If there was no outlet? If there were alternatives on the table (talking to her while she takes care of herself), it’d be fine. Like, if at any point Shadowheart mentioned being uncomfortable with sex, she’d have stopped for her.

Her confidence is largely decoupled from her beauty (though she’s quite vain). That’s tied into her abilities as a sorceress. If you took those away, she’d be a shell of herself. Again, she’s quite vain. I can’t see her thinking that she’s less worthy of love, but she’d definitely feel more sex-averse.  

Unless this is in the DURGE durge days, in which case it wouldn’t matter a damn. Durge Durge Joi didn’t not give a damn about her looks, or love. She was going to get freaky. Consent was…well, secondary.

Loyalty and sense of humor are major contenders. Please, make her laugh. Make her feel cherished. She’s secretly very soft inside. Please let her lean against your side and just chat with you. The capacity to have easy physical contact alongside the conversation is huge for her. 

Also, sass. Please be sassy. Verbally spar with her. Be kind of a little mischievous bitch. They’re her absolute favorite. If you can channel your goblin energy, you have a place in her life. 

Ludus 5: What seduction techniques are most likely to be effective when it comes to your OC?  Are there some things guaranteed to get them going?  Or are they immune to such things?

Apparently, being a saucy pillow princess will do it. Be a power bottom and you’ll immediately own her heart. /eyes Raphael and Shadowheart. 

Pretty wordplay will absolutely do it. I don’t know if it’s a seduction technique to spar with her, but that would absolutely get her going. Mix some physicality in with the word games. If you touch her hair or stroke her throat while being a flirty little bitch, she’ll chase you to the end of the earth. 

She is not immune to hot voice propaganda. If someone were to come at her swaggering and growling some poetry, she’d positively lose it. It’s a fast way to get climbed or shoved down to the floor and necked hard. 

Pragma 4: After the initial fires of passion cool to some degree, what would keep your OC engaged in a relationship?  Shared goals?  Similar values?  Or contented companionship?

Contented companionship would be what got her through it. To some extent, she genuinely just wants to be with the people she loves and protect them. She’d be perfectly happy to sit in a room and read with her lover. The whole Bhaalspawn thing has made her quite precious about her identity apart from her past and her father, and so if someone genuinely valued her vs. her heritage…it’d go a long way.

Being able to word towards a shared goal and common future would also go a huge way towards her ability to be engaged. Also, if you can provide her some healthy venues for murder so she can get those murder urges out? It’d be very helpful. 

Philautia 1: Does your OC have a healthy sense of their own worth and value?  Or do they see themselves as failing to live up to their original potential? Perhaps they are convinced of their own sinful or inadequate nature?

Both. She has a bit of a breakdown post-canon when she’s in the Fugue. Her past sins have kept her from moving on and robbed her of the potential of ever seeing Shadowheart again. That did some dark things to her psyche. 

However, she understands that she’s worthwhile. Joi is a powerful sorceress and has done some incredible things. However, she does feel inadequate versus the inhabitants of the hells, purely on like…a power scale. It’s driving her to go and level grind in the Abyss to be a greater asset to her partner.

normally i dont rlly like human aus (they’re just not my thing) but this stupid au wormed it’s way into my heart and now i cherish it lmfao. there’s no real set plot, there’s just Situations these lil guys get into. some are soft and adorable (ie. pebbles’ first kiss with sig) or hilarious (sig’s ridiculous amount of flirting with his own chat) or just fuckin stupid (their halloween stream where they do a whole production where chat has to figure out who “killed” sig and it’s just chaos). tbh ive found myself accidentally focusing on the ragequit aspect of the au despite the entire polycule being a thing (lilypad, sunstone, traffic light, ragequit, and hurricane all happen)

i think the Main Things that sum up the au are:

Sig punched Pebbles’ transphobic (now ex) boyfriend in the face and spent a night in jail bc of it LMFAO

Pebbles and Suns meet after Sig drags Pebbles to a party at the college he attends (and Sig attended for a single semester before the whole streamer thing took off). Suns went to catholic school and is incredibly repressed and hesitant with Pebbles and Sig ends up having to instigate a lot of shit to prevent them from just fuckin. never going past hand holding.

Speaking of, Pebbs is an art major and drew all of Sig’s custom emotes. He also loves drawing everyone in the apartment, though usually keeps those drawings hidden from everyone in his sketchbooks

Wind and Sig being childhood best friends who are each others ride or die, they were each others first like, everything. The funniest one being where Wind is having a crisis bc he thinks he might be gay and Sig is just like “hm well I’m kinda a guy maybe kiss me and see if you like it?” And well. Wind has been kissing this fool for 7 years now and does not plan on stopping.

Moon is usually a moderator but does make appearances occasionally and chat loves her. Suns will not go on camera without a face mask. Pebbles was originally camerashy but ends up being in pretty much every stream after a while.

Sig refuses to tell chat his gender and thinks it’s funny watching everyone guess. If you ask/ask for pronouns he just replies with “whatever’s funniest” or “whatever makes this gay”, or if someone’s being rude about it, “whatever pisses you off most”

Sig is like. Insanely good at FPS games and holds multiple top rankings in competitive esports. Yui (Unparalleled Innocence) is one of her main rivals. It’s cute tho. They’re like. rivals who kiss.

Pebbles is Moon’s adopted brother, and has some pretty bad weakness in his hands/legs bc he had cancer as a child. They all support him a lot (Pebbles is rlly stubborn about “being okay”) and Sig does a lot of charity streams for things like forgiving medical debt and cancer research. Sig and Moon bought a huge thing of stickers to help decorate Pebbles’ crutches so he’d like them more.

Pebbles’ name is Pebbles because Moon came up with it as a nickname when they were kids, and when Pebbles came out he chose that as his name. Moon cried about it. Also I just like the whole “transmasc w a silly name” thing bc I feel like it fits him.

Sig helps Pebbles dye his hair (emo mf) but requires that if he helps she gets to put streaks of color in his bangs. It’s usually pink but sometimes she chooses a different color. Sig has the underside of his hair dyed purple. Pebbles’ natural hair color is a pretty light brown.

They all have their cats ofc!! Messenger, Hunter, Arti, and Ruffles!! They were all either strays they found or adopted from a shelter.

Whatever it is it’s always at least a little grimy - Grew up near cephalopod society and in Splatlands sewers, hence mimicking their humanoid forms. Followed Curly back to Splatsville to become FRESH - Born in the maws ancestry to Gullet. Gullet’s a big ol dune-worm style king that swims beneath the map and swallows up large chunks of it as her main gimmick. Grit’s swim form shows off this heritage a lot better. Chomp - The salmonids’ race-wide death-food cult is more distant from her, but not entirely separated. She continues to cherish food and doesn’t mind participating in turf wars and such despite being shit and dying* constantly - Smells bad, dresses bad, literally eats garbage. Rabid - Fishnets lol. Always barefoot - Was nicknamed Grit by Curly after she held their hand and they went “ew this is gross why are you sticky” - HUGE casual. She plays turf whenever she feels like it, tableturf when she doesn’t, and otherwise just dicks around with the shell out machine and steals from the concessions. 7) What non-combat skill do they excel at?

Vulon: Vulon is Very good at sneakin' around, and is really good at talking its way through things so its Speech Skill is very high as well :> Its also really good with restoration magic, which tends to surprise people! As for non-gameplay stuff it's really good at cooking and mending clothes (and when it dies it spends a lot of time studying various art forms and such).

Vyrthaal: Vyrthaal is also pretty sneaky but he excels the most in blacksmithing and enchanting (and while Vyr usually uses archery for combat he's also just Really Fucking Good At It and can do fancy tricks and is a good hunter bc of it + he's good at Being Sneaky). He's decent at alchemy thanks to Kili teaching him, and very skilled at restoration magic (though he also uses the sun-based restoration spells in combat). Non-gameplay he is Also very good at cooking! He's also good at Embroidery and making clothes :3

Jo'safiir: Jo'safiir is the sort to argue that all schools of magicka can be used perfectly well outside of combat Including destruction so I'm gonna say. That lmao. Non game play things: cooking AND baking (Vyr and Vulon are both 2 impatient to bake well) as well as knitting and crochet!

Sethsa: Stealth, speech, lockpicking, and illusion are my girl's best skills!! She's also very good at baking (all my ocs are good at some kind of food making/preparation can u tell lmao) and an excellent story teller!

12) Who are they closest to?

Vulon: Lord Boethiah, Serana, and Sissel. It is also close to the Dawnguard in that it fought alongside them and considers them all its siblings-in-arms and trusts them with its life in combat.

Vyrthaal: Kili, Serana, and of course his moms and their Stronghold, as well as Kili's hive!

Jo'aafiir: Ko'jiirah, Miraak, Boltu, and his entire family (though all except for Ra'sava live in Elsewyr). He also grows pretty close to his mortal biological father, Jo'iq, after a while.

Sethsa: Deathcry, Rune, Chal, Boltu, Karliah, and Brynjolf are her closest loved ones, but she cares deeply for the rest of the Guild as well! She's just not *close* to them, u kno?

16) Did they feel sympathy for any villains they came into contact with? If so, who and why?

Vulon: It did for Miraak. It saw itself in him just As it knew Miraak saw himself in it. Vulon wished it could have worked with Miraak more instead of both of them "knowing" they were fated to kill each other. It knows Miraak, for all his pride and boasting, is just as traumatized and fucked up as it is just in different ways.

Vyrthaal: Also Miraak, because he can't stand the thought of anyone forced to serve any being, Daedric or otherwise, against their will.

Jo'safiir: I don't think any, really. Like yes he's married to and loves Miraak but when he was a Villain(tm) Jo"safiir didn't feel bad for him. Miraak made his deals with Mora, sucks that he's trapped in Apocrypha, but ultimately he opened that can of worms so he should lie in it. He doesn't complain when Ko'jiirah yoinks him out tho!

Sethsa: Sethsa Also doesn't really feel bad for any villains she encounters!

Jo'aafiir: He isn't really an armor guy, he always wears mage robes! He favors the Arch Mage robes but that's bc they're sort of his "uniform," though in part bc it helps him feel closer to Savos after his death.
