Wanda had overheard the commotion going on in the hallway as she had been heading towards the lounge. Usually not one to want to intervene, there had been a part of her that had been ready to turn around and head back the way she came. At least that was until she caught sight of Noah and Ashe, Basch's brother and friend that had since joined them in the Avengers compound. She had just happened to catch them just as Noah had been slapped and responded by pinning the other against the wall. In that moment, she couldn't help but jump in, not wanting it to go any further.

"Is everything alright here?" She called out, hoping that it would diffuse the situation, or at least distract Noah and have him let Ashe go. She took a step towards them both, just as Noah turned as if to leave. "Noah..." Her voice trailed off as he passed her, noticing a little of the expression on his face. She would check in on him in a while, having recently worked out that sometimes it was better to let him be alone for a little bit. Besides, it seemed that Ashe was in need of some comfort.

"Are you ok?" She asked as she made her way to the other's side, her head tilted slightly. "It's alright... I won't hurt you. Do you need anything?"

I’m thinking about Dissidia. My PSP is busted so i can’t play my copy of 012, but the game was just...so good on so many levels. A series wide crossover where the main heroes and villains duke it out? A robust and fun system where you can choose what moves you want to use to suit your opponant? The final, main villain of the whole game being voiced by Keith goddamned David? It was so great on every level. Too bad there were only two games...oh well!

Anyway one of the coolest things in Dissidia was the the final boss, Chaos, was actually pretty well characterized for what was essentially a crossover fighting game boss. And those don’t really have to do anything other than be really tough and look cool. Chaos was all of that and he had a lot of personality. He even got a personal opening quote for every single character! If you look up a video of them you’ll see a bunch of people making up more quotes for him for other characters, final fantasy or otherwise, in the comments because its actually really fun to think about....so im gonna do that; (only for vii x xii and xiii because those are the ones i played...plus a couple of quick “just for me” bonuses) (for added impact imagine these in the deep booming voice Keith uses for chaos )

Greetings!

My name is Eirenare and I’m here to announce that, on this December 3rd, “The other Ivalice” is now open!

“The other Ivalice” is a Tumblr dedicated to the Final Fantasy XII Modern!AU that I’m creating, and I’ll be updating its story and world with texts (headcanons, fanfics, information...), drawings and music inspiration regarding that theme. There will be various pairings, being Bashe (Basch/Ashe) the centric one since it’s my favourite.

Everything will be tagged properly, and there’s already a post in which I’ll be listing every used tag, as to make things easier. You can find a link to said post in the description of the Tumblr.

This project is, for me, another way of showing my love for Final Fantasy XII, of sharing it.

I’ve been showing my love for it in my personal Tumblr (”Eirenare’s Hideout”) for a while now with fanarts, but I just needed more, and thus the idea of “The other Ivalice” was born.

When I first played FFXII, 11 years ago, it didn’t attract me much, but I decided nonetheless to give it a 2nd chance by playing Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age... and I’m so glad I did. It’s a game that has touched my heart and become one of my favourites without a doubt.

I’m very excited about this project, albeit nervous (because it’s the first time I do something like this), and I hope to do justice to Final Fantasy XII and its characters.

Having said that, to anyone that might be seeing this post: thank you for reading, and I hope you have a nice day!

ANON. I AM SO SORRY WHAT TOOK SO LONG. I THOUGHT I ALREADY ANSWERED THIS D: Also, I hope you had a blast perusing my FFXII tag! 💕

Oh man, what don’t I love about these two??

I am a sucker for the royalty/loyal knight trope, so that alone makes these two appealing, but their story arc together is so lovely and heartbreaking. Their intro together - with Ashe slapping and berating him while Basch calmly accepts her wrath - is truly memorable and some great foundations for enemies to lovers territory. Ashe keeps giving him a cold shoulder and not trusting him. And Basch is completely fine if she hates him forever, so long as he can protect her. Even when she veers towards a more evil option for saving and protecting her people, he’s beside her. The loyalty kink is strong with this one!

What always gets me the most is towards the end, when Ashe is begging Balthier to come back alive and is in tears despite them essentially winning, Basch is the one who quietly steps forward and places a hand on her shoulder. She doesn’t swat him away. There’s never an explicit scene where they forgive each other for past actions, but the fact Basch does this and Ashe let’s him says so much.

And then he goes with Larsa to carry out his brother’s dying wish and they’re separated and probably can never be together in a way their societies would deem acceptable (like marriage or whatever)... oh wow, right in the feels! Penelo’s letter mentioning Ashe missing him and Larsa giving said letter to Basch when that part comes up.... AHHHHHHHHH. Like I just want them together and happy, but knowing they truly can’t makes for some delicious secret/forbidden relationship stuff. Bonus points for a long-distance relationship!! 😍

I love them so much and it warms my heart to know others do too 💕💕💕

Most of my ships might be fanon but at least stydia, reylo and bellarke are canon.

Okay so upon further introspection, my only fanon ships that have stuck are sleeping hook (the actors did play lovers in a different tv show), helsa, ichiruki and narusaku. And time canary and reverse xs (but Thawne did say he loved Nora).

I don’t any of my Harry Potter ships count (hermione x george, hermione x sirius, ginny and tom) because I only ship them in specific AU fanfics.

I literally ship Ginny and Tom in one (1) fanfic trilogy but it was so good that I just view it as a separate story and count Ginny and Tom as my OTP because of this series. Like, in it Ginny is a time-travelling reporter for the Daily Prophet, married to this beautiful, cool (if slightly dorky) bookshop assistant who sometimes gets possessed by his evil twin who’s made him into a Horcrux and starts killing people. They have the most angelic daughter but their family is always under threat (Aurors who think Tom is the actual murderer, time shenanigans, Ginny’s sociopathic ex-boyfriend from the 50s...) And Ginny fights fiercely to save her husband but it always ends with him dying (I won’t spoil the ending but it’s surprisingly happy if a bit vague... like a kdrama ending).

After marrying Princess Ashe to strengthen the alliance between Nabradia and Dalmasca, Rasler's home suffers a devastating attack by the Archadian Empire. This leads him to make his way towards Nalbina Fortress with Basch, captain of the Dalmascan forces, to defend Dalmasca against any upcoming attacks. Sadly, although he fought bravely against the empire, an enemy arrow would ultimately take his life at the tender age of eighteen. (x)
