much needed reupload of one of my favorite instances of musical timing in ANY CARTOON. this is one of those scenes where i've been mulling over how to properly express the sheer catharsis and wonderment this clip gives me, pontificate and try to sound smart by gushing about the animation technique or the behavioral implications within the scene but i truly think it's an instance where brevity works best: I LOVE IT
I am a huge fan of when a story has a central duo, because it allows for the focus to be squarely on the way those two characters interact, both with each other and with the world around them.
And those two characters can be anything: bosom companions who've known each other since childhood, strangers or acquaintances whose relationship grows into friendship or love, enemies or rivals who were forced to cooperate-- the list goes on! It's a lot of fun to see them smoothly bounce off each other or collide harshly, and everything in between!
And, of course:
Those dynamics can be applied to larger groups, whether we're talking about interactions between individual pairs of characters, team cohesion or conflict as a whole, how they face threats together... the works.
