Any advice on things I can do to take care of a needy and non-verbal little?

My little has currently been slipping a lot more then usual, which is okay with me but I don’t really know how to take care of him when he’s little and nonverbal, I just don’t really know how to spend time with him especially since he’s fussy and VERY needy and I find it hard to communicate with him when he’s little and nonverbal.

Can anybody maybe give me some ideas of stuff I can do with my little to spend time with him like playing games etc, or ideas on how I can communicate with him when he’s fully nonverbal.

bro i was regressing so hard in math class today

like i was sitting there sucking/slightly nibbling on my knuckles (bc sucking ur thumb is not what middle schoolers do) and kicking my feet/legs side to side and when it was kinda loud i would babble under my breath/rlly quietly

also since we had to take notes in science (i have the same teacher/class for both science and math) my mind would say the words out loud (quietly) in babytalk. like the book would say “-and that helps with …” and my brain would say “-awnd dat hewp wif …”

i just pray i wasn’t being too obvious with it and Bead doesn’t question it (we have the same class and at one point (or more idk) she looked at me while i was swaying/kicking my feet and sucking on the back of my fingers while babbling silently)

Bunny usually regresses to 3 or 4, occasionally 6. But when he needs to be really, really tiny, we do a very special bedtime routine.

I wrap him up in a cloth diaper (it's a sensory thing, and helps him regress very small), and put his onesie on top to help keep it in place. I brush his hair nice and smooth, and braid it back from his face. This part is practical, but it gives me the opportunity to tell him how very loved he is.

Next, I'll do my best to swaddle him, with a blanket in the winter or a sheet in the summer-- he likes to hold his special blankie, so that goes inside the swaddle. (In the summer, it's also best to keep his toes outside the swaddle for temperature control, even though it looks silly).

At this point, the pressure is going to make him soooo very sleepy, so his eyes will flutter shut. When he yawns, it's simple enough to pop in his pacifier, clip it to his onesie, and say his special bedtime words, all without him needing to open his eyes again.

I hold him close while I sing him to sleep, his breaths growing slow and deep, every last bit of tension leaving his body. ♡

Does that mean your parents know you're an age regressor, and that you use diaps? (Asking out of genuine curiosity and am not judging at all; I just have such a poor relationship with my 'parent' that telling any parent about agere wasn't something I had ever considered).

Well, only my mom. My dad is one of those toxic masculinity guys, and I really don't want to tell him. My mom is actually my caregiver, too! It's still a bit scary regressing in front of someone, but I'm sure I'll get used to it soon. Though I'm not sure how my mom feels about me wearing diaps. I think she just accepts it.
