August Adipose is ON!
August Adipose is a month long drawing challenge started by kivanbay on Twitter which challenges artists to draw bodies not often represented in mainstream media!
So... why draw a fat model?
#1: Not everyone is skinny or toned. In fact, most people aren't. Drawing a fat model gives you real life practice for drawing realistic body types and shapes and helps you learn where fat can land on a human being so you're better equipped to draw convincing people!
#2: Representation matters! Since bodies vary in shape and size, seeing yourself reflected in the media you consume is important to developing a healthy body image. Fat doesn't mean unhealthy, and any little bit we can do to normalize different body types will help us unlearn years of indoctrination about skinny = healthy. You can help by including fat characters into your roster!
#3: Fat is fun! One thing I hear from people a lot is that they loved doing figurative drawings and gesture drawings of fat people the most. Let's face it - fat is really fun to draw. It gives you the opportunity to add new shapes to your artwork and can help you develop your overall understanding of light and dark.

August Adipose was started by KivanBay as a celebration and challenge to all artists to appreciate and include more fat bodies in art! 🎨✨

Synopsis
The Tenth Doctor tries taking Donna Noble to ancient Rome for her first trip in the TARDIS, but seems to have miscalculated. Instead of seven hills, they find a single mountain billowing smoke — Vesuvius. They're in Pompeii, 23 August 79 AD: the day before "Volcano Day". However, something else is horribly wrong. The Soothsayers' predictions seem to always be correct... so why can't they see tomorrow's disastrous events, the eruption of Vesuvius, the death of their city? What is blocking their perception, and will the TARDIS team be able to walk away from a fixed point in time, saving no one from certain doom? Well, Donna has something to say about that!

i need to tell you about the experience i just had scrolling down someone's doctor who tag and immediately knowing they must have JUST watched the show during the good omens fandom migration of august 2023 because they posted gifs of ten kissing clara's hand and thought it was normal and in character.
My theory has always been that Moffat watched RTD's Casanova starring Tennant and took that as how to write Ten.
Compare how Ten awkardly reacts to the flirty customer service rep at Adipose Industries, or Astrid saying she wouldn't mind seeing him in a morning, vs. Ten written by Moffat as this suave flirt having his way with women. They aren't the same character!
Equally, the 'vain' reason for not regenerating was surface level, he couldn't fathom that Ten was deflecting and it's more about the 'I'm still me' to Rose. And now, because of Moffat having Eleven call it 'vanity issues,' the entire fandom parrots it back in perpetuity.
