Any advice for new shifters?
- 🦕
Oh man I could write a book, there’s specific stuff and more broad stuff but I’ll give yall a few that comes to my head
1.) don’t overthink! This one’s obvious but there’s nothing wrong with reminding everyone this constantly. You’ll find yourself overthinking even if you don’t want to. Relax, take a breath. It will happen.
2.) all you really need is a meditation and the right mindset. You don’t even need the meditation (I just personally find it easier to centralize what i want). You don’t need any fancy hour long mediations telling you to count or do this and that. Just close your eyes and breathe. I like 5-10 minutes long broad meditations that just tell me to breathe (and have nothing to do with shifting).
3.) you can shift from doing anything really, I shifted once while dancing around to a playlist I made. And actually forgot about this until I saw a post on tumblr today of other posters talking about shifting like this! It’s not something I’ve done since, but I do think it’s important to remember you don’t have to be on your back at night. It could be mid day sitting in the middle of your room. Or even dancing!
4.) listen to yourself. Think about what you’ve achieved. Its cool to listen to others stories, and 10000% take what you can from them, its good to stay motivated! But don’t let it bring you down, or get in your head about it. It took me a good solid year to shift for the first time, and took me months after that to do it again, everyone has their own journey, so make sure to focus on your own.
5.) be careful about your sources. Lots of people lie about shifting for attention, and often you’ll find that on tiktok, you’ll also find lots of incorrect info there as well. It’s not easy to vet shifting info, but it’s generally not difficult to know when someone’s lying. Make sure to join healthy and welcoming spaces!!
I def want to make a post in the future for more shifting process tips! I just need to write things down and make my explanations easy! So stay tuned for that!!

Would it be weird if I scripted more then one s/o in my Dr they are from the same show I'm shifting to but would it be weird and I had 3 s/os people on Tiktok have made me feel like shit because I was gonna script that I had/will have 3 kinda like a Polly relationship
Omg no, first off, half the people on shiftok are crazy and so,,,,,,you know. I wouldn’t pay much mind to them (and this is coming from someone who was a popular creator). It is very much not weird! There are millions of realities out there right now with what you want (in this case, a poly relationship). Do whatever it is you want, ITS YOUR DR. Poly relationships are also something we have in this reality (and it’s not an inherently bad thing), so i legit have never understood their dislike for it. You do you!! Script that poly relationship~!!!

to the anon that says "everyone comes back" that's because we don't have the stories of the people that haven't come back! I personally wouldn't come back to this reality just to post a success story.
I personally found this a really motivational realisation, especially when I see people that haven't posted for ages, I just think to myself "they've made it" :)
Yes this!! I was going to mention in my previous answer and expand upon the fact that I knew a few people who wanted to perma shift. I can’t confirm whether any of them have or havnt because I’ll just never know!
I agree in that, I wouldn’t come back just to say, I’ve made it! Like nah that’s,,,just not something most would do. Personally i never plan on perma shifting so it’s not something I think about too much, but if I was to, I wouldn’t come back to say anything😭

@zdffsgun answering: I don’t shift, but I am still excited to know how did you shift? What kind of mindset did you have? Maybe you used some tricks? Also how did you master lucid dreaming? I had one lucid dream and a few ones where I feel like I am aware but not aware?
Note:I didn’t read through this to see if I made any grammar mistakes forgive me I’m in class
So lots here so I’m gonna number!
1.) how did I shift
I could probably write a book on the many ways I’ve shifted. There’s not one way I’ve found to be the “best or worst” honestly. Towards the end, what I did was: meditate before bed/before a shift (this sometimes was a 10 minute, sometimes more, nothing particular, really just found small guided meditations on YouTube), laid in a comfortable position in bed, used my “third eye” to visualize my dr room, used my senses to kind of feel around (what did my dr smell like? Note: don’t ‘imagine’, use your gut to ‘know’. What did my room look like? What did I hear? So on). And it generally would just kind of happen. Sometimes I feel alsleep and it would happen, and sometimes it would happen right there and then.
2.) what kind of mindset did I have.
So for the longest time I would over think shifting, like read into EVERYTHING. But I found that being really nonchalant is the best way to go about it. Think about all the things you overthink in your life and how it never helps you to do that especially when trying to achieve your goals. It very much still applies to shifting. The less you stress, the more progress you’ll see. Just relax.
3.) did I use any tricks?
I kind of answered that above, but I don’t really have any crazy tricks. Just apply to shifting as you would anything else in life.
4.) how did I master lucid dreaming?
Again, I could write a whole post on this. Honestly I did it exactly as you’d expect. I read up on how to master it, and legit followed all the articles. That means I did all the lil tricks like asking yourself if you’re dreaming during the day, checking yours hands constantly, checking clocks , etc. after awhile(like a few months to a year) it just becomes second nature. I’m out of practice but probably could slip back into if I wanted. I would lucid dream any of the nights I wasn’t shifting, and especially without trying. Realistically it’s not difficult so I def recommend trying it!
5.) I’ve def had lucid dreams where I’m aware but don’t feel awake. I don’t really have an explanation for this, I think it’s just a weird limbo that happens sometimes.
I hope this answers some questions!! If you want more def let me know!!

Im not sure how I can words this but I have a wr (waiting room) and if I shift to my waiting room and from my wr I shift to my other Dr will my time ratio change Im kinda confused on how that would work like will it still be 3 mins that have passed in my cr or if it's longer
(idk if I worded that right)
Yea you worded that ok! I think I understand. So I can’t answer this entirely because at the end of the day, I don’t think even physiologists can answer how time exactly works😭. I’ve talked to people who have said they’ve scripted time differences between here and their drs/wrs, but I don’t know if it actually works.
Personally I’ve never tried, but I’ve also never really payed any attention to how time passes, and have only been to a wr once or twice.
At the end of the day, I think that time just isn’t real, and that it will be different anywhere you go. So I can say, yea it may change from your wr to your dr, but it also might not. It’s 100% something you’ll just end up experiencing!
Anyone feel free to add to this with experiences of y’all can!! I’m sorry I couldn’t be more help with this one! It’s a bit of a toughy

So I think I mini shifted, I was doing Reyes guided meditation for shifting I wanted to try it out for myself I had full intention of shifting I was using my 5 senses method it’s in the video and I was rubbing my face (the position I was laying in was with my hands under my body in my cr) but I felt my hands rub my face like actually rub my face and I could somewhat see and my eyes where closed, and I knew they where closed I could hear the meditation video I had on fade away I didn’t even realize it had, I wasn’t thinking I was calm i was thoughtless, until I realized I couldn’t hear her anymore and that I was laying on my hand and it wasn’t moving then my eyes just opened and I was back in my cr is that a shift i think it is but I’m not sure
hi hello! so to start, I personally don't believe in mini shifting, either you've shifted, or you haven't. Even a second of being half in your dr is a shift! I also want to note (and ill be making a post in the future about this) that at the end of the day, its not the meditation/method that makes you shift, but they can help you shift, its really you at the end of the day!
Now in this situation, i don't know what you physically felt (other than what you noted), so its possible you were on your way to shifting BUT it sounds more like you were falling asleep. Personally, i often fall asleep with guided meditations (they're just so soothing), and what that looks like is exactly what you're describing. The noises you hear will fade away, and things just kind of become nothing: this state is called the hypnogogic state. Usually (and this is just what happens to me) when i successfully shift, if im listening to a specific meditation, yes sometimes it will fade off, BUT in its place, will be another sound. the only thing i can akin this to is the "void state", which is possibly what you were going into.
To condense all of those words i just said down: you were probably just falling asleep, but its possible you were achieving void state.
just to give you a little tip!: like i said, mediations can make you very sleepy (you can shift from sleep dont forget) but i always found it was good to keep my mind in the most awake but calm state it could be in, which is generally void state (and hypnogogic state as well) (i hope that makes sense). Rather than long meditations, listen to short meditations, or create your own, then use ambience sounds to help yourself "melt" into your DR. It's ALOT easier to shift that way, and a lot less space for "errors"(by that i mean less space for you to just strait fall asleep or for your brain to focus too hard on the wrong thing).
Again, I will be posting more info on this kind of stuff soon so keep an eye out! I hope this helped a little bit! Keep shifting!! it seems like you're on the right track!! Assume you are shifting, or will shift, and you are!

heyy. if I shift to a better cr or to a completely different reality, do I really have to shift back? I know that it’s up to me, but whenever I read shifting stories, people always come back (?) maybe I don’t understand the concept the right way or idk. could you share what would you feel whenever you would come back and just share your stories. thanks a lot :)
Hi! So this is a bit of an interesting one, and everyone def has their own opinions on it. So to start, no, you technically don’t “have” to do anything. If you want to stay somewhere, you certainly can. I believe they still use the term “permashifting” which generally is just permanently shifting. While it’s a very real thing, I personally have never thought much about it, especially never thought about doing it, though I know people who would like to do it. It’s an intense idea and I don’t think anyone’s really figured out the best way to explain it.
As for how it feels to come back, for me it’s a little different every time, and it highly depends on where I’ve shifted to. For example, I used to have an old fantasy royalty Dr (was actually the first one I ever scripted), when I would come back, it was such an odd feeling of one day being royalty/having powers/ being in this weird fantasy conflict, to all of a sudden, back into a reality with no magic, no crazy fantasy conflict and so on. After a while you get used to it, and mentally it doesn’t do to much. It’s another thing thats kind of difficult to explain if you’ve never experienced it, but don’t let it worry you :) I will say, I gained a new appreciation for this reality after all the places I shifted to.
I can share a lil story here (I have so so many)- I used to have a marvel dr (my most visited one), and I hadn’t really gone after anyone specific at first (i was in love with EVERYONE), and ended up in a situationship with Natasha, who was apparently in a relationship with Sam (again, this was all unscripted). And man oh man the DRAMA. I usually don’t care for drama in my drs unless I’ve scripted something specific (though I love natural events always). But man, i didnt go back for a bit because i was scared. It was eventually resolved though!
