So, with Soto about to come out, and since most of our companions are gonna be chilling play home, I've decided what my ocs (+in the survived au) are doing
Athinri: she's with Braham at their home. She's helping Braham heal from IBS and tbh starting to settle down with him
Widget: I'm my main canon? I really don't know? Tbh I can't think of s reason she wouldn't be involved in soto ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ in my Trahearne survives au, she is the one who is involved with Soto, not Spite.
Tanwyn: She's living near the grove in a soundless village. Tanwyn's enjoying the break from all the murder and killing.
Ceara: has returned to the grove! It's another step in her healing journey, and Tanwyn moved into the village near it to be close to Ceara for support.
Trahearne & Spite (au): At him and Spite's home resting with her, chilling with their hoard of cats
Canon Spite: She's been trying to go to therapy, but the entire time since WLB has been starting outside her door like

Friends said I angsted too much, so I’m back to drawing Alex sketches for practice ft some Trahearne
With bonus musing about Alex’s choice of combat style
- Given the choice, Alex would usually prefer to use his hands to wield magic. He doesn’t on a normal basis for specific reasons:
1. Using his body which was already Branded would cause the magic to pulse wildly, which might endanger his own allies around him. (This was more of a perceived physical limitation, the blockade was more emotional and he’s able to use it fine when he comes to terms with who he is)
2. The Staff of Aetherius helps with concentration prior before he accepts himself. It’s also for appearances when he was still Commander. Once he lets go of the title (and basically people associated him with the Pact less), he’s more inclined to using his body as the main channeling medium, and the Staff acts as an extension of his body or as a way for him to preserve his strength while flying.
- He uses physical styles for Air and Earth magic, and channels Fire and Water through weapons... or large scale attacks like meteors.
- His main element mastery is over Air : Befitting of being Branded in the first place
- He doesn’t really stop training his body when he focused on magic. In his mind, to be able to wield magic more efficiently, he had to train a body capable of withstanding it in the first place.
- I like to think this means if he wants or is angry enough to snap, he can and will punch people in the face with a magic-coated fist that is enhanced with the swiftness of air magic, enough to send them through a wall.

Multiple Commanders AU Ask game

At what point during the story do they meet up?
Both of them differ from the personal story in game.
Vale is a born Olmakhan, that decided to roam the world. And Deus left the black citadel after some altercations. He was a very unlucky soldier. He was in different warbands - all died due some freak accidents. Only the last warband mostly survied him as a member.
Funfact: Kying was one of them. (Whiff-Warband)
Deus and Vale then met during this journey and came back to the black citadel, as Vale carried their child.
Deus once more formed a warband - this time more successful. This will lead later in Deus investigating Howl's gravesite and joining the vigil / pact.
Vale on the other hand will leave the black citadel with a born Fuma and joining the order of whisper as protection.
She got into some trouble protecting her child from getting into a fahrar.
Vale insistet to raise her on her own and that led to some BIG troubles,...
Still, Deus and Vale were in close contact after that. But the first years in secret, to avoid problems for Deus.
Which of the 3 orders did each one join?
Vale joined Order of Whispers and Deus Vigil.
Were they all present for Claw Island?
Yes. Deus got badly injured and Vale nearly died rescuing him..
Deus lost his right eye that day.
Tybalt and Forgal utimatly saved their lives, sacrificing their own in the process.
Did they have different responsibilities in the Pact?
Deus is primarily responsible for the Pact.
Vale supports him. She is more focused on Aurene and the dragon research.
Did all of them, only a few, or just one of them go through the dungeon storylines?
(Only played one of them. Shame on me - so a skip)
Did they chase after Caithe together or was one/were some on the airship with Trahearne during the start of HoT?
Vale chased after Caithe - Deus was on the Airship. He got saved by a friend of Vale and joined her in the chase.
Did all of them go into Mordremoth's mind? Did an extra NPC get left out or did two still go?
Only Vale got into the mind. Deus decided to keep an eye on her.
Deus wasn't sure if his mind was strong enough. He didn't want to risk becoming a danger to the others
Who mercy killed Trahearne?
Trahearne asked Deus to mercy kill him. But in the end Vale did it, after she saw her Husband struggle with this request.
Did any of them join the Shining Blade?
Only Deus.
Which one died to Balthazar?
Deus.
Are all of them champions of Aurene?
Only Vale
Are any of them Aurene-branded?
Vale - it spreads from her chest (heart) and will later replace her left arm.
She will lose it during the fight against Kralkatorrik. (scraped that idea)
How close are they? What do they think of each other?
They are married with a daughter. So they are very close.
How effective are they as a team?
Vale is the blade and Deus the brain in the fight.
They compliment each other in combat.
Are there any that certain members of Dragon's Watch prefer over the others?
In the beginning Deus was more liked by the others. They were scared by Vale, but later warmed up to her.
They are like a little, strange family.
Do they share responsibility at the same time or do they hand it off as needed?
As needed
If they weren't the commanders, would they still be friends?
Yes!
Would they pick their co-commander/s over anyone else? Over Tyria's safety?

In DDM, this fear remains, but as she is not the one carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders (hi, Jiirka! hi, Champions!) she is under way less pressure!
12. Biggest fantasy:Restoring her parents' reputation was a big dream of hers, but nowadays she's sorta just rides the wave and sees where life takes her.
13. Bad habits: Does throwing oneself head first into danger with no regard whatsoever for the odds or just basic safety count as a bad habit? I think it does ^^'

God. Okay.
I every once in a while play out AUs in my head, and I’ve tried to think about which other one of my OCs would be the Commander, if I had to pick someone other than Kerra.
There’s a decent amount of possibilities and worlds to play with, but god...I’m having feelings over having it be an AU Cyprian right now, specifically in a world where he actually woke up with the Secondborn.
In that AU, he ends up part of the Nightmare Court, swayed by Cadeyrn and Faolain’s particular brand of charisma. As time went on and their viciousness gets clearer and more pronounced (and especially after Faolain took clear control as Duchess), he drifts further and further from them, becoming one of the first of the Soundless. Cyp is vicious in his own right, but he learns to see the holes in Faolain’s words, and being used is worse to him than what he read as being thought useless.
He still takes on the vigilante role here, at first, but it’s a different sort of vendetta. He has friends here--whether or not they’re close, he has people he protects, and he wields his emotional projection for them, too. This Cyprian knows how to get people to listen because he knows what it is to trust. If they won’t listen to what he says and it’s important to him, he can and will make them feel strongly like they should believe him, and that’s often enough.
He ends up back on Caithe’s radar by intervening when Bercilak attacks Dagdar and Eladus, and Kerra, only around a month out of her pod at most, ends up on his radar when she tries to help Tiachren and Ysvelta. She gets another mentor of sorts now, another sibling, one who argues with Caithe and is uncertain around Trahearne and who understands better than most how her power works.
(He’s also one with the opposite problems she’s had. Cyp’s issues stem from him feeling lesser and useless, and Kerra can’t stop hearing that she has to be useful, that it’s her destiny, and her own personality and inclination to help isn’t particularly helpful there either.)
Malyck trusts Kerra but isn’t sure what to make of Cyprian. Cyp’s still more than happy to stamp out the Knight of Embers. When it comes to Waine, Cyp says he has no particular love for the Firstborn, but Kerra has to stop him from killing Riannoc’s former squire.
Kerra joins the Order of Whispers. Cyprian stays unaligned, half falling back into old patterns of guarding the Soundless in Caledon and half doing what passes for his best at watching out for the sapling he at some point accidentally adopted as a little sister, but he’s never not busy. He gets wind of the upcoming attack on Claw Island, and though he’s the farthest thing from invited, he finds his way there anyway.
He holds his sister as she cries, out of view of those she herself had done her best to comfort, and for the first time he sees the world as she does--all the people she’s claimed as her own, as hers to protect, whether or not they’re sylvari or whether or not they’ve even met. He’s afraid for her.
In another world, Cyprian is asleep when Claw Island is retaken, deep underground in an abandoned lab in his pod. Here, he stands on the ramparts with his brother and sister, and he doesn’t care for being beholden to anyone but his sister is beholden enough, and he’s learned to trust his brother, and even if these aren’t his people, they’re hers.
He asks Trahearne for a job.

Hello friend, I have a question if you'd indulge me; you may have spoken about this before somewhere but can you tell us something about Alba's backstory ? Where does she come from? I am always curious about another human commander, maining/preferring humans myself 👀
I don't think I ever made a proper post about Alba's backstory so here we go!
Alba was born and raised a Zephyrite. Ever since she was a child, her dreams were haunted by a strange voice asking for help. The voice later revealed itself as Glint; she chose Alba with the hope that she would become the new caretaker of her scion (Aurene). Alba tried telling her brothers and sisters about the voice but they all dismissed her, saying she was probably just joking around. One night, she decided to give in to the voice's call and fled the Sanctum. Glint guided her through the Maguma Jungle and the Silverwastes. Alba ended up in Queensdale just when the centaurs were attacking Shaemoor.
From now on, her story follows the Human Personal Story. She joins the Priory and has a crush on Sieran, until she dies at Claw Island. That's when Alba actually meets Trahearne and she tells him that he should have died instead. She doesn't get along with him at first because of her grief but as time goes on she starts viewing him as her older brother. He brings her a wolf pup from one of his travels, Alba names him Arcana.
Her relationship with Glint starts to worsen as she grows up. At first Alba was honored by her presence, obeying every request. Her respect turned into doubt then into anger. By the time of the events of Heart of Thorns, Alba refuses to listen to Glint's voice but accepts her role as Aurene's caretaker - and later mother. Glint tried to communicate with her on last time when she went to kill Mordremoth but Alba shut her down. The voice was gone but her eyes started to become to glow a light shade of blue. She remakes Caladbolg in the memory of Trahearne.
The events of Path of Fire unfold. When comes back from the dead after Balthazar killed her, her hair turns white. Ever since Mordremoth's death and her and Aurene's bond growing stronger, Alba started to develop some dragon-like features - sharper teeth and snake-like pupils.
When Aurenes dies in All or Nothing, Alba cuts her hair and runs away, only to come back when her left arm gets branded and has to be removed. Taimi makes her a new arm.
During her fight with Kralkatorrik, he tells her she has changed and that she's almost like him herself. She doesn't understand at first but later she figures that the dragon magic she absorbed is starting to show.
She starts to loosen up by the time of the Icebrood Saga, becoming more in control of herself and her magic. When Ryland and Bangar leave the charr claiming they want and Elder Dragon, Alba unleashes her power saying that they already got one right there. Her dragon features are more obvious, she has wings. She gets into a fight with Dragons Watch, telling them off for starting to question if Jormag was evil and never listening to her. She tells Aurene that she doesn't recognize her anymore.
Alba leaves without a trace until rumours of Braham becoming corrupted by Primordus reach her. She travels back to the Shiverpeaks just in time for the confrontation. She shoots Braham in the chest with one of her arrows, making him back to normal.
After Jormag and Primordus are defeated, she stands next to Aurene, telling her that she hopes they finally have peace.
NOW THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM: MY AU.
I made an AU that changes the story and revives the dragons and other stronger enemies. Because the Commander inhaled so much magic, she absorbed the souls of the dragons, Joko and Scarlet and now they follow her around. Above is Alba's story without them. I'm currently in the process of drawing the first encounters with each of them but I might make a post with more details soon.

is this where i dump my trans norn headcanons becau---
okay so these aren't 100% solid and i'm still figuring it out but given a lot of norn stuff is about journeys and hunts and legends, i feel like journeys of self-discovery are very very much a part of norn culture, which would include journeys of gender affirmation
thought about these a lot because of Solvarus, he's still kind of making his way through his but at some point during s1 he made the realisation that he was not the gender he was assigned at birth. his is a little unconventional for his culture because due to his being part of the Pact he was able to access some resources and get top surgery courtesy of asuran contacts, but the rest of his transition is very much a spiritual thing
on that note, i'd like to mention how i consider Hare a spirit of harmony, due to how she's said to embody traits of all four of the greater spirits in some regard - so it makes a lot of sense that Hare chose to bless Solvarus, not just for his resilience and how well he weathers storms, but also because he seeks harmony with himself
and on the note of spirits i wish we had more about Frog because i feel like Frog and Hare are very similar; Frog is also very resilient, cunning and a spirit who offers a blessing of fertility - in some sense they mirror one another, with Hare being a faster-paced more energetic spirit, and Frog being slower and more chill

27. Just about everyone is accusing someone else of being related to Grawl. Who is? And what are other fun evolutionary tidbits?
hmmm i've never given this one much thought before, i don't think the grawl are related to humans or charr at all, though i did bounce around the thought that they might have evolved from gorillas that somehow moved from Orr to Ascalon, but given they're an older race than humans and orr was established by humans... if Tyria was once a pangea maybe

32. We’ve seen the unchained Risen in Siren’s Landing, and how some appear to have a limited intelligence and gather other Risen around them. How do you think Mordremoth’s and Kralkattorik’s minions fare after their masters’ demise?
okay so here we get some Mortal Scions/Hestia-Rhouzza AU tidbits: there are an amount of mordrem who remained completely loyal to Mordremoth following his "death", and they continue to make problems in the heart of the jungle and the Silverwastes
however, a good chunk of them were mostly left rudderless, and latched on to what they sensed from Trahearne - for example, there was something of an exodus of mordrem wolves (led by the large one that haunted the labyrinth, later named lily) that travelled to the grove, and it caused quite a stir, but they were all very tame and friendly and just seeking out their new master
a lot of sylvari who fell to the call or were corrupted fully came back this way too, led by Malyck, who had been quite badly physically corrupted in an attempt to break his spirit. he was since healed of most of the corruption Mordremoth threw on him by Trahearne essentially re-blighting him
there are definitely other creatures who fall into this category, and it would include any and all kinds of mordrem, with corrupted or blighted sylvari being the most likely to detach fully from Mordremoth's command
from what i've seen i believe the branded actually just kind of revert to natural behaviour? but also few of them held much intelligence and were basically just in angy attack mode. really like the idea of Aurene finding a way to wrangle them

D. Death: Has anyone your OC loved ever died? If so, how did this impact them? Is there anyone your OC would be willing to die to save? Explain
Following game canon, that’d be the death of Trahearne, but since I’m not gonna do that in Lucci’s canon, the first one to die that Lucci cared about would be her mother, who got corrupted by Brand while they were escaping a brandstorm. It was pretty traumatic for Lucci, as she was barely older than a cub, and also thought she lost her younger siblings at the time (they get saved and taken by flame legion soldier). It made her really angry and frustrated growing up, both towards the Branded but also towards charr legions who didn’t care enough to help them when they had needed it. Lucci would die for selected number of people, that’d be Trahearne, Aurene, Taimi, Gorrik, Bunny, Almorra, Kas, Jory and Braham, as they are the closest and most important people to Lucci.
H. Help: When someone your OC loves has a problem, how does your OC try to help them? Do they prefer to comfort, offer advice, or fix the problem? Would your OC go out of their way to help a stranger?
By giving bad advice, or making a scheme with them to fix the problem. Lucci would help a stranger if they were friendly or in danger, but she’s not like, gonna solve every tiny problem for everyone.
I. Irritating: What is something your OC finds annoying about another character?
Oh, she hates Rytlock’s face and his “oh-I’m-totally-keeping-these-important-things-from-you-and-only-telling-when-shit-hits-the-fan” thing he has going on, and just, all the trouble he causes her. She can’t stand pompous humans like Logan or Faren either, or people who try to tell her what she should do or that she’s “worse” for not being a part of legion.

Awakened Anon!! HOW?! When do you sleep?! How many words has that been in the past what, four days?! I ADORE IT! AND THE ENDING!! OH THE ENDING!! I have two possible thoughts, ones the happy ending where the commander has been broken out of the time loop, no memories of countless life times but bonds and feelings remain OR the sad ending, where the commander has given up, doesn't bother to remember anymore, it's too much. All the blood. All the death. All the mistakes. It's too much 1/
So they forget. Not only that, you, my beautiful Awakened Anon, have open my eyes to how many directions this AU can go. The Commander losing it? YES! The Commander somehow managing to keep themselves together until /someone/ shows signs of remembering and the commander breaks down without a thought because someone else is stuck in the hell. 2/
OH! OH! OH! Imagine the mess the Commander will be in when say, Taimi dies, when in every other time loop she hasn't! Or the Commander during a loop where they didn't swap with Trahearne and Rytlock doesn't show up from the mists. A loop where Braham and Eir die together. One where Caithe falls to the call. One where the egg is broken before Aurene can hatch. You're both gonna kill me for this but...loops where the commander is killed by a friend 3/
A member of the pact thinking it better to kill the commander then follow a mad man. One where Mord's in control of the commanders mind kills them from the inside via their mentor. Loops where DWDE see vines or brand or death pulling from the commanders skin, an effect of the bleed through, they don't attack the commander because when they rub their eyes the effect is gone but there's distrust. 4/
And the commander, they've known these people for a long long time now, they can see, taste the distrust from their friend and it tears the commander /apart/. ...I really, really want to go on about the commander losing it but I'm kind enough to hold myself back and not turn this AU in that direction. Who wants to follow someone Mad King Joko declares war on, he declared war on specifically THEM, everyone has their own lives, the Commander’s a figurehead, not their own family, killing a figure head is easy in comparison
The distrust would definitely be the thing that hurts the Commander the most, but I feel like they could power through it, as long as everyone survives - it’d not be healthy but at the same time they totally would just... continue on through all of this

[Time-Travelling Trahearne/Beings of Creation] Alex goes nom, Trahearne doesn't like another person in his husband's head, since he knows what happened in the previous timeline.
Some musings for this AU in SotO arc (I haven't played the most recent chapter don't mind me qwq):

By this point, both Alex and Trahearne would have recovered their powers as Construct Beings, but it still doesn't solve the initial problem of why they came down to Tyria in the first place: The inconsistent balance that's spiralling down.
Trahearne, having soul/time-travelled, knows what's coming next when Zojja sends Alex a message of desperation. And Alex-Life, having the body of a Branded and knowledge of magic from Kralkatorrik, is more open to using his abilities, having used them previously to save Blish and give Soo Won a few more years.
"They were not suppose to meet their ends at those times in the previous timeline. Their deaths were forced forward, and I won't accept that." said Trahearne at one point, to no one in particular.
And he knows why Peitha takes an interest, but he's still a little wary. He's seen what happened. And while Alex is in a better place now mentally... He's still a little protective. Alex had always been pretty soft unless the situation calls for it.

When Wikki visits Hoelbrak, she is a walking ball of furs. Forgal insists. Her ears would get cold!
Sometimes Vie forgets details about her non-sylvari friends. She would straight up forget if a trans friend has or has not had surgery, not in a mean way just a "Oh right... that DOES matter to them" way.
Cicero does actually have a broken tooth. He tripped and it chipped. He tells people it was a branded.
Jarlath is a special boy that has several alternate versions depending on Vie's ship. For example, if he's the son of Vie and Canach he's a cute pink boi. If he's the son of Vie and Trahearne (non Scion AU) he's Trahearne's mini-me with blue eyes.

Trahearne is the one who became Aurene's herald in her AU! Since Caithe died in HoT (I've talked about it before I think, long story short Caithe connected to Mordremoth to let them kill it so she could apologize for all she's done), Trahearne was the one to help guard and care for Aurene. He temporarily stepped down from Pact Marshal while Aurene was baby to stay with her.
In S4, he ended up being the one to get branded by her and become her mouthpiece. He actively considers Aurene to be his and Zhaleh's child.

This version of Mikhail is still a stupid moron, having fun to fight, but he's more savage and even more... secretive and touch starving/repulsed, depending on who you ask
