This whole situation with Howleen not being related to Clawdeen in G3 lowkey reminds me of the whole fiasco with the new Tiny Toons reboot regarding Babs & Buster Bunny, except inversed.
To explain it: In the original Tiny Toons show, there's a running joke where Babs & Buster aren't related, despite them having the same last name. They're also shown to have romantic crushes on each other.
However, in the reboot (Tiny Toons Looniversity), Babs & Buster are now related, as twins.
So, Clawdeen & Howleen are not related now, but Babs & Buster are....Feels like the people in charge of these reboots haven't seen the OG or only looked at it on a surface-level understanding.
Ooh interesting! Honestly that can make things so uncomfortable. I imagine a lot of older fans probably shipped them, and have now been put into this unfair position where it now feels problematic to do so, and given how toxic fandom spaces can be, I imagine there's a lot of new fans of the reboot who might hound them about it. Yikes!
I have to say tho, I think it would be kinda wild if the current writers didn't know that Howleen is supposed to be Clawdeen's little sister, it's kinda like the main thing about her character. The fact that it was a conscious choice (assuming they don't backtrack in some way in the future) makes it even harder to accept.
It also reminds me of Strawberry Shortcake, the generation I grew up with (the best one) and how Apple Dumplin' was her baby sister, but come the reboot (the absolute worst version) is instead her cousin who's the same age, or just a tad younger. Idk, in both cases the decisions just seemed kinda random, but I suppose in Clawdeen's case her family dynamic is so different it would be hard to fit Howleen in. Hell, look how much reaching they had to do to bring Clawd back as her older brother.

I feel like so many people misunderstand BOTW/TOTK Link especially (Zelda too, but that's another topic entirely)
His lack of expressiveness IS a personality trait. It's a direct result of the pressure on his soldiers to be a perfect soldier, hero, and savior. No, he's not Skyward Sword Link, and never will be, because his story is completely different.
"But [other Link] hugged Zelda when he got her back!" and this Link maintained a respectful distance as his princess's subordinate - but ALSO out of respect for Zelda as a person, because she spent her whole childhood having her agency denied and he wants to let her initiate even something as simple as platonic contact whenever possible. He's being kind!
(And yes, I know that primarily only the "he is a knight and she is a princess" part is directly supported in the actual game, but I'll remind the people making comparisons that the dynamic was COMPLETELY different in their favorite comparison game, Skyward Sword. But also... look at the gentleness with which Link interacts with Zelda, the tenderness that he shows so few other characters - Mipha probably being the closest example. Look at the way he looks to her first to see what to do in every scene they're in together, unless he's protecting her from an immediate threat to her life. Notice how outside of that, Zelda IS usually the one to initiate any physical contact)
I also personally hate it when people describe quiet, not very expressive people as "lacking personality" because... my partner IRL is like that. If she expressed herself at all around most people, it's in a very flat, reserved way. I've seen how it hurts her that people treat her like she doesn't have a personality, like she isn't even a full person - and I know that's real life and Zelda is fiction, but come on, do you think all the people that aren't highly expressive and extroverted don't hear that about very popular characters and internalize it?
Being reserved is a personality trait. Being cautious and not impulsive is a personality trait. In fact, I'd even say just because you as an expressive, extroverted person see Link as a blank slate to project your own personality onto, doesn't mean he actually is or was even intended that way.
(I also think this is a very US-centric point of view, honestly. There's plenty of cultures where even BOTW Link would be considered at least close to average - Finnish culture specifically comes to mind, even if he's still slightly exaggerated in that regard as, y'know, a character.)

(and don't get me started on "oh Zelda got no agency in TOTK and she learned the powers she was struggling overnight". No, it's called a time skip, and just because she learned her powers before the 13th hour this time - which yeah, she would get them easier this time with a mentor who could actually use the same powers, and having already learned to use her light powers - doesn't mean it just "happened overnight". And... she didn't express agency? She was actively influencing the entire flow of the timeline, changing the actions of her ancestors by convincing her ancestors to act, learning to control her powers and fighting Ganondorf, and finally expressing the ultimate form of autonomy in choosing to sacrifice herself to save the world. Some of the criticisms of TOTK didn't even seem to play the same game. Just because a heroine isn't a pop feminist badass who *gasp* wears pants and easily and perfectly kicks every villain's ass, doesn't mean she "has no agency" and is being sidelined. Like, a princess engaging in courtly politics is neither powerless nor "doing nothing")

Ok so, between the recent psa about miscecanis scent and reblog of the incels of omegaverse, I can’t stop thinking about how the two would correlate in a verse.
Like, “Chad alphas” could say you need to go buck wild on the Axe so other alphas know what’s “your property” (which becomes yet another omega-repellent because of scent sensitivity). Or even the opposite, where they don’t use anything, like no hygiene At All, because “omegas like the musk” but they just??? Smell like BO?????
But that’s not to say omegas/betas are exempt from this!!!!!! You’re telling me you don’t think some omega incels wouldn’t over-scent all of their bags and shit to like, “allure people in the halls”, but it’s just a Lot and it’s Everywhere. Or even an insecure beta who’s like “can anyone even smell me?????” And it’s like, Yes Buddy, I Promise You We Did Before And Can’t Stop Now
Also just????? The role of actual perfumes in omegaverse. I’m sure they’d exist for so many reasons, but I just wonder like, how they’d be marketed or even placed. The desperate yet insecure folk of any gender and dynamic buying ridiculously expensive perfumes modelled after celebrities' natural scents (like that one headcanon post) because they think the scent is what made the celebrity famous/desirable/attractive and so if they smell like them then maybe they will also get courted...
And man I'd feel a little bad for the betas thinking they have no desirable scent and trying to "make up for it" because of how much importance society places on alpha&omega scents (that tend to be slightly stronger, sure, but It's not like betas don't have scents!!) And how little betas are talked about in the context of pheromones/scent

My own headcanon sort of separates scents into their own cathegories of like, there's the natural scent that's associated with pheromones, it's not the same as body odour from sweat, but also the pheromones are slightly different/separate in that pheromones can affect the qualities of the scent but not the actual scent itself? And then there's obviously body odour, and then on top of that, I think perfumes are often used to either mask or even enchance one's own scent. They'd probably be especially affirming for any transdynamic folks! But also I can imagine some people feeling like their natural scent should be sort of "private" or they just don't want people to pay attention to it, esp if it's very unique? so they'll use fragrances to change it somewhat. Also for people with weaker scents, it could be an insecurity so they'll use perfume to feel more confident?
Oh and I wanna talk more about my headcanon about the pheromone-natural scent relationship! I think pheromones are what cause and are affected by emotional responses, almost like having a sort of... "aura" or "energy" people can read? But pheromones so it's an actual thing. but I also imagine it could affect the actual scent a lot too! I'll use my own peony+peach combo to explain since I know it best, but for example, if I was angry or annoyed, the pheromones would probably make the scent appear slightly "sour", like a sour candy or a flower that's slightly past its best bloom but still emits a really strong scent that starts to smell almost a little "stinging"? Or if I was really content and happy, it'd be like freshly-bloomed peopny blossoms and sweet, perfectly ripe peaches.
Probably in heat the scent would turn more "warm" and "heated" as well as stronger, too, like sitting in a garden of peonies eating a peach dessert during a heatwave in the summer? (Also I just like using that analogy for my own scent a lot. Sitting in a Peony garden and eating peaches. Except in heat it'd be more like a heatwave and much stronger/warmer) Like almost a little overwhelming, but not necessarily in the same way that overusing axe body spray is overwhelming, more like... a heat-scent becomes sort of really thick and warm? And that's why it's so noticeable? Like so ripe it would be "tempting" or something, idk.
For example if someone's scent was "pine forest", and they went into rut, I imagine it'd also increase in intensity a lot. Like... maybe the scent of pine sap really intensifies and gets really "thick"? Or maybe it'd be like... if it rains during a heatwave so the smell is extra strong but also really warm. And maybe someone with a scent like that would smell more like a cold winter forest when they're irritated (which would also be a wonderful way to describe personality through scent- people whose scents turn "cold" and "wintery" being more likely to have that sort of stoic, cold anger than the more explosive hot-headed type bursts of anger...) and when they're content, it'd be like a camping trip in good weather somewhere deep in the woods where you feel safe and relaxed in nature?
Idk man I just like thinking about scents and how scents change based on pheromones & emotions........
I also think perfume could be used to permanently amplify some aspects of specific emotional states in scent. I imagine customer service workers or salespeople using a perfume that maybe doesn't change their scent, but makes them always smell really happy, inviting and nice for better sales results and a better customer experience (especially since I imagine customer service is probably still absolute hell, even in omegaverse... not like they'd actually be feeling very happy to deal with some Karens all day)
Or for people who want others to stay out of their way (bouncers, gangsters, idfk depends on the canon I imagine), they'd maybe use a perfume that makes their own scent always appear a little aggressive/stern, not in the challenging kind of way, but just so people get the idea that it's probably better not to mess with them
But also certain professions having bans on those kinds of things, or even requiring full on scent blockers to be used (especially prevalent in the medical field I imagine)... just. Yeah lots of thoughts on this!

Hii, idk if I will do a post abt them, but let's see.
Ok based on what I've observed, gender/sex literally does not matter in terms of which way is "better". Not with just rahu/ketu but with any two planets or yoni types. Ardra girl with a mula boy, honestly, is excellent (i'm talking purely based on those two placements only, it always depends on more, but generally, it is excellent). They're yoni consorts(ardra is female dog, mula is male dog). To me the dynamic is sort of like: an angsty nervous girl who seems cold/mean on the outside and the guy who matches her on a deep level who's so deeply rooten in himself that it soothes and grounds her. There might be bickering, but in this case any arguments, even if they're intense, always contribute to growth and are a part of the chemistry between two people.
Yoni consorts are always the ideal, no matter which gender has which nakshatra, and dog yonis, like cow yonis, are opposite each other, so there's another layer to their connection.
One thing I've observed about dog yonis is intensity. Everything is a big deal between them. I personally know that disagreements/arguments/insults with/from the natives of those two nakshatras can feel like a sudden (and unfair? 😭) slap in the face. No kidding. They can be pretty mean if they want to, the meanest possibly. But there's a difference: ardra is a point where you care too much and feel overwhelmed by how much everything matters, mula is a point where you try to hold on to anything that might matter and seek to find the truth within yourself, realizing that most things don't matter. That's the difference, but both places are points on the wheel where an individual feels like the rug is pulled from under their feet, like the world has suddenly turned upside down.
So these individuals feel the same but completely different at the same time. The thing that unites them is that it's rare for them to feel connected to others on a deep level, and mostly, ardra and mula do feel very much connected.
Not a female ardra/male mula dynamic but I just remembered Brokeback Mountain stars Ardra moon Heath Ledger and Mula sun Jake Gyllenhaal. That's definitely a tortured romance between two people who feel like outcasts.
Anyways, rahu helps ketu project their energy and ketu helps rahu find substance and grounding. I'm not a rahu or a ketu person so I can't tell from personal ecperience like with venus, mars or sun, but I have mars in ardra and I think I do understand what their relationship might be about. 🙂

hsr headcanons part 2!! welt and himeko
i'm sorry everyone who keeps seeing my posts under hsr tags now i have a lot of thoughts i just wanna throw somewhere,,
welt and himeko because i started Thinking about them, i think their dynamic could be really cute really wholesome partially because they're much older than the trio (i mean i know himeko isn't super old either but i'd say she's like thirty something compared to the trio's... early twenties maybe?? even 19 in march's case idk she has small vibes)
these are not written with a romantic relationship between welt and himeko in mind (Alien Space manga made me rethink that a bit) but honestly feel free to interpret them however you wanna!! i generally don't really ship any crew members with each other so :3
Contains spoilers for himeko's hi3 lore
- Himeko being the only crew member that uses Welt's first name; she calls him mr Yang when they're talking to the trio or in some more formal situation, but when they're alone she calls him Welt
- also her noticing more than he thinks she does and subtly being like hey,, you can rely on me you know,, you should relax sometimes y'know
- even so him still having trouble doing that
- him being so worried about her always, maybe even more than about the trio in certain cases because he does not want to see her die again. he knows very well she's even more capable than the younger crew members but he can't help but worry.
- maybe they're in a fight together at some point and she gets hurt and it's kinda bad but not extremely bad, she'll live and be okay but he's still concerned. beating himself up over it even though she reassures him several times that it's alright because he was there and could've prevented it
- maybe him even feeling like it's his job to keep himeko safe in this universe since he has a better opportunity to do so right now
- on that note... their first meeting. you can't tell me he wasn't at the very least shocked when they first met and she probably noticed it,, her going like "oh?? you look surprised, have we met somewhere before?" and him shaking his head like "no, you're just very similar to... an old friend of mine, my apologies"
- himeko being probably the first person he tells about the different universes thing
- also them just,, feeling nice and safe in each other's presence. sometimes just chilling in the parlor car together, but not talking, just sitting in silence and reading or doing something else

Little addition to the talk about Oscar's PR management and pushing Lily a bit more into the light.
I agree with everything the other anon said but I'd like to add how it also means they are portraying Lando and Oscar differently.
Clearly, along the 2023 season we saw McLaren media leans more and more towards the slightly shippy "Landoscar" theme.
Not in a too obvious way but there were little nods towards the ship.
In 2024, we still got some little things (the picture from Barcelona, the "Osc", etc...) but it's more subtle, more leaning between shipping and friendship.
And for me it goes along with the want to picture Oscar as someone reliable and serious by showing is relationship with Lily more and also having him involved in other activities (like the Reef thing).
They are slowly letting us know that Oscar is more than just a driver and a cute boy. He has a personality, interests and a life outside of the track.
As a shipper, I hope we will soon get more funny Landoscar content to play with.
As someone interested in communication and marketing, I love trying to understand what is happening behind the scenes!
I totally see that and tbh it fits with him hiring a social media manager that AND the Andrea press release about changing their media duties around. tho the intention they gave for that was for Oscar and Lando to have more down time which hasn't actually happened bc they've both stayed just as busy but separately.
I have an anon I'm sitting on bc there's a LOT to address and some of it feels a little too .... idk tricky. but their point was that McLaren want to renege a bit on the whole 'Lando and Oscar doing everything for the team and not being in competition with each other' now that McLaren is officially up there fighting consistently for podiums and the top 3 or 4 championship spots. that splitting them up more in terms of media duties COULD be a way of creating space for them to have if not a full on rivalry then a Charles and Carlos type of competition.
the thing is that Lando and Oscar on their own keep saying how much they work together and share data and have the same needs for the car etc and that they want healthy motivation between each other.
but also I think for anyone who's had to work in a committee or be a part of regular team meetings there's also got to be the reality of someone coming in and saying 'let's change things up!' to maybe keep their job or stand out and it ends up being sort of a mess and maybe the old system was actually just fine alsfgjlsagfhljsfa it's truly possible that this whole Reputation era revamp is going to prove to be a mistake or that it's just not being very well executed.
bc I can't say that pulling Oscar away from Lando is ever going to work well for him when Oscar just isn't interested in being The Guy. he wants to show up and do his job and compete and then go home lol. so it ends up that not only do fans not get the fun teammate content they've come to expect from McLaren with the previous two teammates, it also means that super motivated Lando is maximizing on every opportunity and becoming a bigger star on his own - while Oscar has to struggle to meet the media's needs for energy and dynamism without having someone he knows he can bounce off of. the Esteban RC car thing was just... ok lol. that's not what any of us would like to see him spending his time filming. the Great Barrier Reef thing is nice but it's not the same as Seb or Lewis bc as Oscar even said he only ever really knew much about the issue from school. and most of Oscar's life is spent away from that issue and away from Australia. (he even kinda said that it was a great side benefit of being able to stay in Australia longer and have Lily involved instead of heading right back to MTC)
fundamentally, Oscar wants to have more time for his private life and he doesn't want to broadcast it- and I think that if they simply dropped the silly challenges and just gave Lando and Oscar a topic in a free moment and filmed it then Oscar could have more time away from filming and we as fans would get Lando and Oscar's real relationship that's fun and cute but without them feeling awkward at being told to dance and perform. the whole thing would be way less pressure for both Oscar and Lando.
remember, Lando isn't naturally like that! Carlos and Daniel learned that PR bromance game early in their careers and play it well but Lando follows their lead and basically reacts to them! early 2019 Lando was basically a featherless little chick watching Carlos with big eyes and squawking at how funny he was but he was sooooo nervous and twitchy about being on camera until he learned to copy Carlos' humor and bounce it back to him.
so genuinely when Lando and Oscar are just allowed to talk normally, it takes less time than setting up for elaborate challenges and they'd both feel more relaxed and get more time off.

I was a using a dating app a while ago and was talking to a cute girl. I had noticed on her profile page she had some statements that raised my eyebrows. Basically it was her saying she was looking for a FWB and she can perform certain sexual acts with her body. Now I get that we all have wants and needs and that they should be properly expressed given the time and place. Wanting sex is fine, but most girls wouldn't put that on their profile out of fear of inviting the wrong people. And for her to do so unabashedly had my warning lights flicker dimly in my head. Still, I put it in the back corners of my mind as she hadn't really said anything weird while messaging each other.
Eventually I asked her about it, which set her off on a tangent on what she was wanting and willing to do to me in bed. Of course I was getting fed into it and ask when she wanted to meet up. She told me that she'd be down to meet up but she needed some money to pay her grandma to watch her child... weird. In the history me dating single moms, I have never heard of someone having to pay their family members, especially their grandma, to babysit for them. I chalked it up to it being some weird family dynamic or she just bugged her grandma a lot to that point. She then asked if I could give her $50 for babysitting. I told her I didn't have that on me. She lowered it to about $30, which I told her I have about $15 in the bank. She said that was fine. I sent her the money via cash app and told her where I'd be. She never responded. After an hour of waiting I saw she accepted the money, but blocked me on the dating app. I realized that the stuff she put on her profile was so she can she finesse horny desperate guys out of their money, which it did work unfortunately. Now, it was just a mere $15, but I was mad that I got finessed.
Some months later, this girl matches with me again. I wondered where she got the nerve to match with me after what she did and was about to dress her down. But during her messages I realized that she didn'teven recognize me! The months after her finessing I edited my profile pictures, updated my bio, and even changed my name to my middle name. My pictures were still me, but this time with a beard, and a lot more mature-looking. Her, however, still had the same provocative bio and pictures. About 3 weeks had passed since then. As she talked, I felt that the energy was much different and pieced together that she was actually feeling this version of me. I didn't ask about her bio this time, which caught her attention. She started saying about how guys always wanna talk about it and that she'll pretend to be interested and trick them into doing "goofy-ass shit." Idk why she thought that was something that needed to be shared with anyone, but hearing it pissed me off even more. She said she liked that I didn't focus on her bio and that I seemed more genuine. This is when I started coming up with a plan.
I started talking about how I wanted to go on a date and started listing a few nice and popular restaurants that she had told me about months prior. It lit up her spirit as she started asking when we should go out. I gave her a time, date, and place and we settled on it. Throughout the week leading up to it I would hype her up, reminding her of the date and telling her things like she doesnt have to worry about paying, she can order whatever she liked, etc etc. On the eve of our date night, I messaged her saying that she didn't need to worry about her paying, I got her. But there was a slight problem, my car battery died on the way to get gas. Asked if she could lend me $45 to buy a new battery from the auto store nearby. Told her that we were still on for the date and that I would pay her back once I got paid the following day as I was using the remaining money to take her out. Honestly, I thought it was a really stupid attempt to get her to send me money. But to my incredible astonishment, she asked me for my cashapp info! I quickly created a new cashapp account and send her the info. Moments later I got the notification that $45 got sent to my account. I thanked her and told her I'll get the battery and meet her at the restaurant. She replied that she was so excited to meet me and how much fun we were going to have and the like. As soon as she said that, I blocked her number and dating profile. Meanwhile, I haven't even left the house or put clothes on.
Hours after our supposed meet up I get a call from an unknown number. I pick up and it's her. She cussing me out crying about how I stood her up, how could I do something like this to her, blah blah blah, then I drop the line, "'How could I do this to you?' I did this to you because you've already done it to me." She was confused and got a bit quiet. I told her that I was the guy she finessed $15 from months ago, and how stupid she was for not paying attention to my pics because I didn't look all that different from before. That's when she realized who I was and started cursing me the fuck out. I ended the call telling her to let it all out, it's good for you, and that's what she gets for finessing people. Also that I was changing my number regardless if she decides to continue reaching out. I felt satisfied, and celebrated playing Fortnite. Won 3 matches straight. Sweet, sweet revenge.

ngl though, my personal ideal reverse robins scenario (circa bruce in the timestream era) is batman cass with robin dick--if you want to mirror the initial "bruce isn't thrilled about the new child in his house" dynamic on damian's arrival, cass is the one at the circus that night. but she doesn't watch the graysons die--she watches their son watch them die, sees and feels his grief as viscerally as her own, and swoops into action as black bat... and brings a child home with her. she's always been his batman 🥺 ANYWAY the two of them together as a batman-robin duo is insane. two extreme prodigies with preternatural control and understanding of their bodies, their team up moves would be bonkers. I think dick would idolize cass to extremes but struggle with how she just shuts him down regarding his desire for vengeance on his parents' killer rather than really talking him through it.
damian is and stays nightwing when bruce dies, obviously, although while not quite "battle of the cowl" levels he and cass definitely have a knock down drag out verbal argument about it. so he spends a lot of this era sulking in blüdhaven and working with the titans, who include jon kent, yara flor, and irey west. (how is irey here when her dad is a little baby like dick? idk, speedster timestream shenanigans. bart's furious at her for stealing his future time traveller schtick. or maybe the speedster for damian's era could be avery or ace instead? actually yeah, reversing age on the two wallaces makes much more sense lol. anyway.)
duke upgrades from robin to signal and goes haring off across the globe to track bruce through the timestream (possibly taking spoiler!jason with him?). he (and the rest of the robin gang) had taken up the cause in the wake of steph's (and tim's, more on that later) death, when bruce is spiralling and gotham still needs a light ✨ they're so determined that even getting on batman's badside can't stop them, and finally they wear him down. duke (who knows bruce wayne is batman) is the one bruce thinks of as robin, but riko izzy and the gang are still around. (then jason shows up in purple, and he's inducted into the gang for months before bruce finds out there's ANOTHER teenage vigilante running around.)
tim is an oracle equivalent, but this is the one identity I would actually change the name of; I don't know what I would make it, but oracle specifically is deeply connected to babs for me and I'd like to leave it open for her to take up later. (robin IS deeply connected to dick but it's also been given connections to some of the other robins over the years, so I don't think it's unreasonable to keep it in an au like this, especially for how iconic it is. dick of course still gets a really heartbreaking scene connecting this new hero name back to his mother's nickname for him.) (batgirl is open at this point in and time and babs does hit the streets first on her own and then taken under cass's wing while bruce is dead, obviously.) tim doesn't have babs's talent and ability for being a living information nexus but he does have the tech knowledge and the tactical knowledge to still take on a ~big brother~ style hero persona and run a team a la the birds of prey (I would also not actually make them BoP; I would pull the rest of core four young justice + others he pulls in for various jobs); tim's number one advantage as a hero has always been network building and so I would play off that as much as his tech skill. a la steph's faked death in canon, tim's civilian persona is fake dead in this au, and I lean towards making tim an amputee rather than parapalegic, to facilitate interesting conversations between him and babs down the line after she's paralyzed, about what it means to be a disabled hero and how their situations compare and differ.
when steph gets resurrected and eventually takes on the red hood persona, she doesn't know tim is actually alive, because that's juicy. and extra fodder in her vendetta against bruce. tim starts working with the red hood before either him or steph knows who the other is. yes, they have a weird agressive flirtation going on. yes, it only gets worse once they find out. (yes, tim blows up at bruce when he finds out bruce has known/suspected the red hood's identity for a while.) yes, duke, jason, and dick fucking hate working with the two of them because it's super embarassing to listen to their older brother flirt with a mass murderer.
oh, and I'd make charlie gage-radcliffe the bette kane bat-girl equivalent who's like, relatively removed from all of this but also knew and worked with damian when he was a baby robin and has all of the good dirt and they lowkey hate each other but in a, like, frenemies way

Oh man. I dont wanna sound like I'm tooting my own horn, but I genuinely find it hard to choose because I love my fics dearly. I enjoy writing so much, almost as much as I do drawing.
In no particular order, one of them is my Power Rangers 2017 fic Code Yellow. Idk if I've told her this(probably not cuz i dont much like to talk about my feelings) but the premise of Kimberly and the rest of the OG's being much older than the next rangers, with Kimberly serving as the next Yellow Ranger's mentor was inspired by my friendship with another PR fic writer(if you know unicorn affair then you know she's a legend). We became friends when I was like 17 and still relatively new to accepting my queerness, so getting to be friends with an older sapphic woman who was very kind, into the same things I was, and was in a loving relationship with another woman? It was very comforting and filled me with hope. Kimberly and Aisha's dynamic aren't the same as my dynamic with that person, but I can say that I projected a lot of my feelings over the warm comfort of having a friend that was like an older sister to Aisha.
I haven't made myself finish it yet, but I have hope I will even now years later. This is a snippet from my drafts
Another one is "Courtship Woes", the second part of a fic series for probably the craziest ship I've ever shipped, Wednesday Addams and Lydia Deetz from the musical version of Beetlejuice. It's a very different Wednesday from what a lot of you are probably used to in my Wenclair fics tho, as it's characterized as a mixture of Ms Ricci's version in the 90's movie and the animated version voiced by Chloe Grace Moretz. While I like to think of Jenna's Wednesday to be more like Morticia, I wrote this Wednesday to be a lot more like Gomez. So I guess I already have written a Gomezified Wednesday. Huh.
And, predictably, the other one is "raven in the den, wolf in the nest". I'm still really proud of what I've accomplished for this fic. The final chapter was especially very healing to write with Wednesday's confession affecting Enid's confrontation with Esther in the climax of the fic. The whole point of the Addams Family isn't the gothicness necessarily, but that they were supposed to be the topsy-turvy of what is conventional. It was one of the main points of that fic, with Morticia fainting over the thought of her wonderful spawn dating an adorable rainbow being the topsy-turvy version of the disapproving parent trope. That confession was supposed to go along with that theme too. In typical stories that involve monsters, the crux of that romance is the person's love of the other person despite them being a beast. But Wednesday isn't a typical girl. Loving a murderous beast would be what's expected of a grim girl like Wednesday, but the best thing about Wenclair is how they still keep the topsy-turvy theme for Addamses. Enid is insecure about not being the ferocious monster she's supposed to be, yet despite all odds Wednesday loves her regardless. She grew so dang attached to her even before Enid got the chance to shift and that's both so unexpected but makes so much sense of Wednesday Addams.
Fredrik Backman is my absolute favorite writer. The way he writes grief and loneliness alongside humor and love in his works is just phenomenal. It just saddens me that I do not understand a lick of Swedish and can only rely on the english translated copies, so I can't say that I fully know how he writes his prose as translations can only go so far. But I can say that the emotions he evokes in his writings is what I always try to strive for. To make my readers tear up as much as I could make them laugh. Or maybe more of the latter. Like a warm hug.

Let me just say that your writing is absolutely immaculate and it should be praised 24/7. You're amazing!!! The way you've managed to write the characters to the point where I'm like "damn this could be canon" and it makes everything so much more easier to picture too.
I honestly feel so sorry for her (the reader) especially when she achieved something so great, in record time, and was at an all time high only for her to be hit by a wave of reality when she realised she was all alone and no one was there to see her do it. It was very realistic, I'm sure many of us have experienced that feeling before, of doing something we finally deem as amazing only to have no one there to celebrate such an achievement and it really had me hurting for her 😭.
Now let's talk about how she did not want her father to see her injury, not because she didn't want to worry him but because she didn't want him to get angry at her which is so telling of how jake has been treating her 😢 honestly her bleeding out in front of him is the cruel punch in the face that Jake 🖕🏻🤠🖕🏻 deserves. The fact that she thought he was mad when he told her to be quiet but really it would've been to just save her energy so she could stay awake and that being the last thing she heard???? yeah im crying from the pain!
I absolutely love her relationship with her mum, it's so heartwarming to think about but also so harsh on Neytiri, not only was her child dying out in her arms but she missed out on a rite of passage the whole family should've been there for. Considering we know Neytiri is very traditional that must hurt really bad to have missed out on such a big ceremony. (AND I JUST READ YOUR RECENT POST HER SPREADING THE BLOOD LIKE THE PAINT IS SO MORBID I LOVE IT)
Now the relationships between the siblings....honestly i have mixed feelings but it's like good mixed feelings ✌🏽😭 neteyam is a sweetheart and it makes so much sense that they understand one another, being the oldest. The way he panicked when he couldn't find his sister 😔 there's so much pressure on him too and it just feels good knowing they have each other. I'm honestly really interested in the relationship between the siblings, especially lo'ak and the reader. Because they are literally the same, other than the fact that lo'ak knows when to go quiet 😶🌫️ you'd think they'd bond over that but instead he was just taking the piss out of her and excited for whatever punishment was heading her way. And she did get punished to the point where she's dying. Idk I'm just so interested in the sibling dynamics, I think you did mention a few times that she usually cuts in whenever her siblings are getting scolded at (probably lo'ak lmao) which is so sweet to think about. How she doesn't want her siblings going through what she has to. The difference in treatment especially for her, compared to Kiri and Tuk, I'd be seething 🥊🤡 because that is so shady. Even if she had a small amount of resentment towards them I honestly couldn't fault her because you can't help it when you see that difference.
Honestly I love this family that you've built. And I'm so interested in seeing how/if this conflict will resolve. Please don't let it be resolved within a paragraph 😧 the daddy issues are too strong to be resolved with something simple.
IM AWAITING THE EVENTUAL "I SEE YOU" THATS GONNA HURT IK IT BUT ITS WHAT SHE DESERVES!!!! Imagine him being like "I see you, sweetheart" (cue my immediate sobs)

She told him to fix this every single time and he didnt, thinking it wasnt urgent and physically protecting his family had to come first, to him, he has to keep them alive first and they can handle whatever come their way together. and now this incident has proven how wrong that mindset was. as her mother, neytiri is beyond wrathful, but as his mate, she is disappointed and miserable. not only has she missed her child's most important moment she wanted to put in her songcord she may lose her for it. she has had enough 😭 and the blood paint is going to be so OOF....
NOW ONTO THE SIBLING DYNAMICS! ABt lo'ak and reader,, like, lo'ak can be a cheeky bitch because they're so close, you know? they havent emotionally bonded as neteyam and reader did because lo'ak would play it off whenever feelings are involved at that stage in life but he likes his sister bc she knowingly wants to take all the fire directed towards him bc she wants to throw hands with her father 😭 he's like ur generic younger brother you fight over your belongings a lot, but he's also like jake, he'll do something in the fic that im looking forward to see you guys react to! 🤠

He's bi. Definitely bi. More into women than men, but he's an equal opportunity flirt.

Tommy & Oliver & Thea where Tommy is the unofficial third Queen sibling - after all, he is actually Thea's sibling for real already

Tommy/Thea for what are probably pretty obvious reasons. I feel so bad for Thea in season 1 knowing that part of her freak out in season 2 over having her biological parentage kept from her is knowing that she hit on her own brother and her mother never warned her.
5: first headcanon that pops into my head
In the Earth Prime universe, Tommy took Laurel's last name and became Tommy Lance. After his dad tried to blow up half the city and nearly killed Tommy along with it, he's not exactly keen to stay a Merlyn. So it makes sense that when he married Laurel, it was the Lance family name he wanted to honor and continue.

It's very cute. And I do enjoy Tommy/Laurel even they're not an OTP to me, so having them be flirty while also kinda summing themselves up at the same time? He wants to support Laurel even though no one ever really taught him how to do that and she wants to save people be it as part of CNRI or as the Black Canary.
7: one way in which I relate to this character
Tommy struggles a lot with his feelings of not being good enough and when I was his age (when this show began he was older, now I am, how dare time work like this) so did I. Admittedly, for very different reasons. I've definitely found my sense of self confidence and self worth, though, and I'd like to think that Earth Prime Tommy did too, even though we didn't get to see it happen.
8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character
He can be a little misogynistic at times. I do see it as something he's growing out of over the course of S1. End of season Tommy is way less prone to making an ass of himself objectifying women the way start of season Tommy is, so at least it's something he's got character growth about.

I used to really like Felicity/Oliver and then the ship became canon and I just... didn't like the way they kinda brought out the worst in each other at times *shrug* a good example of being careful what you wish for, I suppose. Some ships are better left to fanon.
I actually really like the show Laurel/Oliver as exes, that was a fun dynamic for them. Though for the comics its Dinah/Oliver all the way.

Oliver & Dig, Oliver & Barry, Oliver & Tommy
Oliver & Dig especially though. It is fun seeing their friendship grow and be tested and come out stronger in the end. I was glad that if Oliver had to show up one last time on the Flash that Dig was there to see him and say goodbye.

McKenna Hall and Isabel Rochev
The former... I do like her and Ollie on the show, they're cute but... she's a cop and comics Oliver would never.
Isabel having been one of Oliver's father's affairs and her only sleeping with Oliver to get revenge on a dead man who chose not to abandon his children is gross and squicks me so much when it happens on the show.
5: first headcanon that pops into my head
Oliver tells Barry that he can inspire people with hope because he inspired Oliver first. Meeting and becoming friends with Barry made Oliver want to be a better version of himself and he just feels comfortable around Barry/trusting Barry in a way he doesn't with everyone else.
6: favorite line from this character
So I don't know what my favorite line is, Oliver gets a lot of good zingers in, but I really love this exchange with him and Malcolm every time I rewatch S1
Malcolm: What are your thoughts, Oliver?
Oliver: I think the vigilante needs a better code name then "The Hood" or "The Hood Guy."
Malcolm: I agree. How about Green Arrow?
Oliver: Lame.

Honestly, I don't really know that I relate to him. He's a very different person from me which is probably what makes him such an interesting character to delve into when writing.

Joining the cops??? I thought his inability to stop lying to people about shit could not be topped and then the final season happened. Comics Oliver would disown show Oliver over that one. He may not have been an real police officer, but working with the cops like that was just... crossing a line that should not have been crossed with this character.

this is rlly general but oooo i want hakuno to go to all sorts of places! she is already someone who is so curious, exploring the world to try to find a place in it. spoiler alert she doesn't but i digress! imagine your muse showing her a place they like... or a by-chance encounter where hakuno stumbles on their little secret spot.... hakuno would be pretty inquisitive because she can't imagine having such an attachment to any place, but i think it'd be real interesting to explore! and also- your muse and hakuno going on a trip somewhere... sightseeing and having fun together mayhaps,, the possibilities are endless so i can't really specify but i just think it's neat! 🥺
"i'd die for you" "i'll live for you" "let's live together" "let's die together" <- whatever those lines got going on!!! not all of them at once ofc (unless things happens and they all apply at some point 👁👁✨️) but just whatever genre this is..... life and death are interesting topics to explore with hakuno – she's someone who can understand what it's like to want to disappear, but at the same time she's someone who's afraid of death. and she wants to love so badly but has no reason to </3 so i wanna explore more of that in general !!! i wanna see her interact muses who share that same mindset... muses who think completely differently.... let them explore what their purpose is... their reason to live... and all that!
tragic love is such a Big Need for meee, i'm a sucker for them!!! and i really think it's so perfect for hakuno!!! i hope everyone knows by now that i love the theme of love for my hakuno 🫶 and like- imagine finally understanding and finding love when you thought you never could, only to lose it... unrequited love? a doomed love story? there are so many ways to go about it, and who the other person might be makes it so much more interesting too, and i just crave it!!
hakuno and a muse working together for something- a relationship founded on ??? like, they just happen to meet and their goals just somewhat aligned so they're sticking together for practical reasons or just circumstances!! will they get to know each other better and come out of it with a good experience? will they butt heads but decide to bear with it until their respective goals are accomplished? idk but something about it intrigues me! i'm really interested in having like a whole storyline happen tbh 🥺 it'd be fun to see how much the relationship changes at the end of things y'know!
i'm gonna need more antagonistic dynamics too tbh.... she is absolutely going to be as polite and nice as she is to any other person because c'mon... it's Hakuno. but! i feel like there's a biiig sense of distance that comes with having this sort of dynamic with her. as we have seen in canon for example, hakuno's really frikkin aware of their status as enemies with other character- she's always saying stuff like "even though we're enemies?" and not understanding why'd be nice to her when she's their enemy... stuff like that!! i mean, enemies to friends or enemies to lovers is def not out of the question ((ФωФ)✨️ ...) but it'd be so fun to see the development!! which i guess is the appeal of those dynamics in da first place !

letter writing threads!! i feel like you can tell a lot about a muse by the kind of letter they write 👁👁✨️ having hakuno write down her thoughts and feelings into paper just sounds super interesting to okok- i'd imagine her letters sounding more like very formal reports tbh 💀 but i think it could be so fun and a really neat way to really get the Insight(TM) on da muse!
speaking of the letter writing tho- something related to arts and humanities! drawing? music? writing? sculpting? dance? anything and everything creative pls. hakuno's way of thinking is very logical so i think she struggles with understanding things that don't really have a solid factual answer, but that's also what makes it so interesting! art can really touch people's hearts too and that's the kind of thing hakuno needs desperately 🥹 even if she can't fully understand it right now ! your muse showing hakuno their creations maybe?? bonus points if their works say a lot about them as a person or means a lot of them!
i'm a sucker for childhood friends so i want that for hakuno too 🤧✨️ !! it doesn't have to be friends in specific tho- i just think there's something special about knowing someone when they were younger :thonk: kids tend to be more honest i guess? and i mean hakuno still is, but for better or worse, the hakuno we now know keeps the "bad" parts of herself hidden away while actively trying to be the person other people need – a younger hakuno wouldn't have that mindset yet methinks! BUT YEA BACK TO WHAT I WAS SAYING 😳😳 it's fun to see how that could affect the dynamic especially when they meet later on!
OH AND immortal & mortal is a staple! hakuno could work as both tho... it rlly depends on the verse because her mortality is Weird(TM) actually- but i still think both concepts would be very fun!! >:3c with her as a mortal, it'd be Neat for her to want to be remembered because that's asking for a lot when her entire life is probably like a mere blink in the eyes of an immortal </3 and with her as an immortal, i just like the idea of her finding happiness after possibly years and years of loneliness but also being aware that happiness is very much temporary </3

GX FAIRY TAIL/GUILD AU REVAMP POST
since my ass was bad at properly compiling this stuff and I'm interested in doing something with this au again sooo this post just serves as a reintroduction to the concept and with a list of the assigned Magic, there are a few characters i never really settled on their magic even now so if there are any exclusions that'll be why
some also have a combination which I'd chalk up to it's an au I can mess around if I want.

While i call it a fairy tail au it doesn't really follow the plot of fairy tail mostly just borrowing it's magic systems and world-building (not to bash on the plot it's more just a personal decision) hence the alternative name for this au just being the guild au
instead of a school Duel Academia is a guild, instead of duellists they're magic wizards and so on and so forth
the plot's similarities lean toward certain important gx events but play out a little differently. like you'd still have stuff like SOL and Haou but the way they happen changes. if anyone wants further clarification feel free to ask and i'll go in-depth in a separate post. with that ot of the way let's get to the magic assignments and with a small explanation to why if applicable
REQUIP MAGIC - JUDAI (and Haou too) - I Figured this was the best parallel for the Elemental HEROs what with the many combinations and whatnot considering there are SEVERAL different requip armours it felt right. I say Haou too for the obvious reasons as there's not really much reason to change it other than the sorts of armour used.
DRAGON SLAYER MAGIC - MANJOUME (Lightning) RYO (METAL) FUBUKI (FIRE) - Manjoume might seem like a little bit of a weird decision but cmon he's Manjoume Thunder it'd be fun (also in the time between this new post and the old post we now have armoured thunder dragon lvl 10 so that's pretty cool incentive)
Ryo seems the most self-explanatory what with the cybers. and foobs getting fire bc of red eyes
ICE MAKER MAGIC - ASUKA - This takes more from her manga deck n all but there's also just the fun dynamic of Fubuki being fire and her being ice
MEMORY MAKER MAGIC - MISAWA - you could argue about something else being more fitting but idk i kinda enjoy this for him
SATAN SOUL - EDO - mostly because some of the Destiny HEROs have that demonic kind of appearance (Dogma, Bloo D, ect) and idk there's something fun to it as a ploy to E HEROs being the requips
CELESTIAL GATE MAGIC - JOHAN - this just makes sense. 7 keys for each of the CB an extra special one for RD and you can even throw in Crystal Protector and Vanguard too for some fun dynamics
YUBEL: i had a lot of different ones down for yubel due to plot reasons for the original but mostly crash and black magic
i'm still hoping for it to be an amalgamation of stuff but what hasn't been really landed on yet just like the kind of magic where they're powerful enough to decimate someone but yet still have some sort of believable innocence (since part of their plans in the au does involve them infiltrating the guild at some point)
PEOPLE I HAVE IDEAS FOR BUT NOTHING SOLID YET:
SAIOU - I would imagine it to be something similar to Kana's cards but with Tarot cards instead not exactly sure of the ins and outs yet
KENZAN - something of a mix between beast soul and animal soul take overs?? just with a more reptilian focus bc gotta keep the Dino DNA in tact
O'BRIEN - gun requip might be an option but just a hard maybe atm
I'll write more on bits later down in separate posts but that's basically it for now again feel free to ask for more if there is anything od interest

So...about the boys in Wednesday...Let's be honest they aren't that great. But i kinda think that's the point. Obviously, spoilers ahead.
Disclaimer: I was not in this fandom before yesterday so I love Enid but i don't ship her with Wednesday. Completely fair if you do but personally i don't dig that dynamic for a romantic pairing and i think Enid is too good for Wednesday 😭 I really thought we'd have more Bianca x Wednesday but alas
Now the "Love Triangle", was it is even one?
Let me start with Xavier. Besides the tortured artist boy being a least favorite trope of mine (ironic considering i am this trope) he just didn't have much depth. He doesn't get along with his dad, he's rich, popular, into Wednesday. What else? He's obsessed with Wednesday. Like i know he can't help seeing her in his dreams but the way he goes about his interest in her is icky and not in the fun way. Xavier is Bianca's ex bf (side note: can we get more Bianca love pls?) And broke up with her bc he felt she was hypnotizing him. Which is ironic considering he asks her to make him forget about Wed. Glad the show touched on how not cool that was.
Other than him just not really having much depth, he is also the "love interest" and i use the term loosely that Wednesday is the least interested in. She only ever entertains either boy when she has an ulterior motive (which y'know girl slay gas keep), but Xavier really never had a shot and I hope the end scene was more them becoming friends than anything bc imo they had negative chemistry. Wednesday doesn't care about Xavier's feelings. She doesn't care about his warnings. He is just of no importance to her until he seems like the killer. I really hope they give Xavier a glow up and keep them as just friends, we need more m&f friendships that don't turn romantic.
One to the other (more successful) love interest. Tyler.
Now i didn't put love interest in quotes this time bc he actually got a kiss. Lemme make this clear, Wednesday would have never gone along with Thing's shenanigans if she was interested in Tyler. She would have never gone on the date or kissed him if she didn't want to. Of the two dudes, Tyler is imo the only real love interest of s1. Xavier is just some guy who likes her. Tyler may or may not have been into Wednesday but she was into him. If you disagree with any of this that's fair but i think we watched different shows idk. Wednesday was definitely into Tyler in the end, but was he into her? Was any of it genuine or was it all an act? Idk for Wednesday Addams, i think a manipulative monster is probably her dream guy just saying
With that established, I need to admit that Tyler is my preferred love interest. Now lemme explain before you run away, Tyler is a manipulative POS but that's exactly why he's great for Wednesday. She's an Addams, they are a family full of manipulators, criminals, and altogether twisted people. Yet at the same time they're lovable and loyal to each other. Wednesday canonically tortures her brother, she's not called toxic for no reason, she's the most malicious Addams we know. Even Fester is mostly just a goof, a murderous goof but still. With the caveat of Tyler getting a redemption arc in next season, i can totally see the show overlooking his murders bc we still don't really know what being a Hyde entails and like i said, the Addams don't seem to care if you killed or kill people, just don't wear pastels. And honestly it's a bad look to just cast aside the traumatized, abused, and neglected kid as evil and leave it at that. With our protagonist being who she is, i hope the writers give Tyler some more screentime bc i can really see him being a great rival/frenemy to Wednesday and personally i think if she does get a romance, enemies to lovers is probably the best trope for her.
If you made it this far, damn sorry you did that to yourself. If you're a wenclair girlie, I'm rooting for you but it's just not my cup of tea tho I'd love to be proven wrong in subsequent seasons

Fuegoleon headcanons be upon ye, Laura~!
-Fuegoleon, and the whole Fire Vermillion family, are big on group bathing for the bonding aspect.
-He's the type of man to wear just a bit of cologne everyday. Something cheaper for everyday and something more refined for special occasions.
-Theresa taught him the egg-cooking trick as a method for training his mana control.
-I imagine Fuegoleon as a tea drinker over a coffee drinker. Not opposed to getting coffee with a co-worker or partner though.
-Was a little self conscious about the eye markings when he first got them (or they manifest? Still don't know.) He grew into them thankfully.
-I dunno what it is but Fuegoleon has the vibes of adjusting his sleeves by bending his arms up, closer to his face, rather than holding them down (if that makes sense). It's such a small detail but I just got the idea...
-I'm very on the idea that Salamander uses a fireplace in Fuegoleon's room as its nest. Fuegoleon finds different types of wood to put in to see if Salamander likes one in particular.
-If he had an artistic pastime, I'd say it'd be a bit of writing. He's not one for writing full stories, but he sometimes sits down and just writes how he observes a space in great, artistic detail. He's great at describing a setting because he's so observant.
-In a slow dance, I think he'd like to twirl his partner. It's a dynamic and fun movement to throw into a dance in his opinion.

Yes! It's a bit like going to sauna in Finland. It's a bonding activity that one does. It feels nice. (And because this is the internet, I feel the need to point out that there's nothing sexual about it.)
Oh definitely, and it blends in with his natural scent so well that it's difficult to notice, but he does wear soemthing each day.
Now this is a good question, because they do manifest, but... Are they there from birth? Or later? Mama Vermillion spill the beans! (Because I hold onto the HC that it's inherited via the maternal lineage, so Mereo's kids would have it, but not Fue's or Leo's). But poor baby! 😭 Trust me they're gorgeous 🥺❤️🔥
No but this is a valid way of adjusting them, because you want the sleeves to be covering your arms even when your arms are bent. And usually when people are going about, their arms aren't completely straight all the time. Even while hanging next to your body there's a small bend. Mutual and peer reviewed and approved!
Idk why but I think Sal might like Birch wood smell. But also Birch is a good wood for heating. It's usually preferred, at least in Finland, for burning in fireplaces. In any case, this makes me smile ^^
There's something about this HC that's rotating in my brain. While I don't see him as a storyteller per se, him writing down little lines maybe even poems, does tickle my interest.
