What are the gangs favorite type of video games to play? Weather it’s Mario, Pokémon, sports, rhythm games, horror games, etc etc.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. YOU ACTIVATED MY TRAP CARD!!!! Now...

Poppy prefers tabletop games more, but she can be often caught playing or seeing someone else playing The Sims. She LOVES that game - Angel has The Sims 2 installed on their computer, and when they all move to a bigger house Poppy gets her own PC so she can play TS2 as much as she wants.

Kissy doesn't play much on her own, but she really loves 3D platformers and adventure games. Her favorites are the og Spyro the Dragon trilogy! I think she loves watching others play pokémon as well.

Huggy loves racing games. Get anything with a car and he's instantly in love with it.

I can Mommy Long Legs making super over-the-top stories on The Sims 2 as well, so she and Poppy often share news of what their sims are doing. They are both active in forums and are trying to make their own custom content for the game!

Bunzo is a pokémon guy.

PJ Pug-a-Pillar doesn't like playing games in general but he LOVES watching others play, esp if there's lots of cutscenes. It's like watching a movie!

Miss Delight falls in love with Portal 2 when it's released, but I think she's really picky with her puzzle games. She likes being a bit creative on her solutions! She's also really into RPGs. I think the Fallout franchise is her comfort game.

Catnap and Craftycorn are walking Silent Hill encyclopedias, but they LOOOOVE survival horror. Catnap's fav is the original SH1, while Craftycorn loves Haunting Ground (PS2) and SH3.

Bobby on the other hand prefers Resident Evil and Clock Tower 3, but when it's not horror it's definitely a more experimental game. She cries everytime she plays Shadow of the Colossus but she loves it.

Bubba, much like Miss Delight, is SUPER into RPGs and puzzle games, but pokémon and Ace Attorney have conquered his heart. He LOOOVES gushing about it!

Picky's favorite is Animal Crossing! It makes her feel safe and she loves just walking around her town. She made a really impressive one and everyone wants updates from her villagers, Picky loves giving them.

Kickin can't get enough of any FPS or action-adventure game, and he can and WILL ragequit if he's playing online and his teammates start being rude to him or each other. Thankfully he learned really quick how to deal with the more toxic players so now he can truly relax. Unfortunately doomed to become a League of Legends player when it comes out.

Hoppy also loves FPS, but 3D platformers and open-world games are her favorites. Anything that gives her plenty of freedom to move around or just be silly immediately catches her attention! I think she becomes a Team Fortress 2 player.

Dogday prefers to watch rather than play and he gets SO invested. I think Miss Delight likes playing puzzle games with him because they figure out solutions together, but if Dogday were to chose a game for himself to play it would probably be a rythimn game. It gives him the zoomies.

The other smaller toys all have their own individual preferences, so talking about them is more complicated!

Everyone becomes obsessed with Minecraft when it's released. Catch Catnap pranking everyone on their shared beta server by pretending to be Herobrine.

When Angel gets them an Xbox 360 they have many game nights where they play on the Kinect.

Speaking of which, Angel is down to play literally everything, but all the toys know they aren't very keen on anything horror-related. Not because it's scary, it's just that Angel finds them boring after surviving Playtime Co. They probably have an encyclopedia-level knowledge of pokémon, tho.

Prototype doesn't play videogames, but enjoyes watching the others play. Just don't put ANY war games in front of him and we're all good, otherwise he stops watching.

Looking back at the first live-action “Resident Evil” and “Silent Hill” movies, it’s actually intriguing how similar they are in that they’re not that bad of a representation of their source material. They’re not good, but they understand what their respective series is like.

The first RE movie features a completely original cast and story. But even so, they understood what the game was like in both story and tone. It’s a military horror/thriller in which a team of armed personnel are sent into this quarantined zone and are attacked by zombies. The tone was right (scary, but a bit campy at times) and the movie didn’t really do anything that would break off from the games. Most importantly for me, THEY DIDN’T DO A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE SCENARIO.

The first SH movie was essentially a loose retelling of the first game. There’s definitely a lot to pick apart when it comes to this movie. Pyramid Head is incorrectly used, the Alessa/Heather/Cheryl plot could’ve been handled better, and the movie feels removed from its J-horror roots. But, as a whole, it understands “Silent Hill”. It got the look of the game right, it got the tone (well, sort of, since the J-horror feel was gone), and it felt like a genuine attempt to bring the 1st game to life.

And then…the sequels to both movies fucked everything up. Funnily enough, they fucked up in similar ways. The RE movies screwed up the storyline and went against the whole point of the series (the games are about PREVENTING the zombie apocalypse). The SH sequel tried too hard to be SH3 while also being more lazy and cliche. It’s like both franchises said, “First movie was fine. Now let’s just do what every other horror movie is doing”.

Really, these movies should’ve just been standalone.

One of the most brilliant, anxiety ridden queens on her whole planet. She’s so paranoid that she has a backup plan for just about anything. She predicted the world was going to end via meteors and had a ship fully ready to go for several years, and had a mental breakdown when she ended up being right. Overthinking is her strongest skill, making plans for her plans just in case something she didn’t think of happened. Her ship, despite being made of old and ruined tech, is so heavily equipped with safety features that she should probably be in charge of OSHA because ain’t no one getting hurt on that thing. Dave, guided by Terezi, has just soared through his own First Gate on his canonically awesome JPEG skateboard.

Jade has just experienced dream death in Skaia's upper atmosphere. Just as Karkat prophesized, her Dreambot exploded, launching her out of her home. I guess she's technically been falling for ten months.

What does it that makes silent hill is silent hill? I haven't personally played it but as much as I know there's many game inspired by it but still not get the point straight?

As for all I know it has:

1) manifestation of fear and/or guilt as monsters attacking them;

2) the universe its in has layers (real world, underworld, and something between?);

3) the foggy / dark surroundings that started off as engine limitation as first game was made was actually works so well as environmental horror (all the blood and rust is part of the history of said town)

Also does it matter if the horror changed the protag into monster too? Thanks 👍🏽

To preface this: The games in the series after Silent Hill 1-4 were made when Konami started to shit the bed, and were not made by Team Silent (who were ultimately disbanded). Konami let almost any western developer crank out a Silent Hill game for them after SH4. These games don’t fit in to the narrative because the devs just did whatever the fuck they wanted with it.

That being said, the backstory is super vague, but the Team Silent entries actually do get the point straight — it just depends on how much you wanna look for it in game lol.

Essentially the connecting thread that lets Silent Hill 1-4 exist in the same universe is the history of the town itself. To keep a long story short, the town exists on sacred ground that some sort of spirit/deity inhabited. The entity was considered benevolent, but slowly became corrupted over time due to the bad things that kept happening as more people came to reside in the area/cults were formed/etc. This kind of boils over when a cult member burns her daughter alive in an attempt to birth her cult’s god from pain and suffering. The corruption allows the town to more or less “call” people to it, and even begins to spread to nearby towns as well.

To address your points:

The monsters are not all fear and guilt. It depends on the person. Harry Mason (SH1 protag) literally didn’t do anything wrong, just pursues his adopted daughter Cheryl into the town. But because his daughter is part of Alessa’s soul, Harry ends up facing off against monsters shaped by Alessa’s fears and memories, not his own. Heather/Cheryl Mason (SH3 protag) is a reborn version of Alessa as well, so she shares a lot of Alessa’s monsters. However, Heather is also her own person with her own life experiences apart from Alessa, so a lot of her monsters represent her own fears — hence the very phallic appearance of a lot of them, the insane cancers, etc. James Sunderland (SH2 protag) has nothing to do with the cult, but he and his wife vacationed in Silent Hill and she adored the town. The town beckons him after her death using her, and his monsters reflect everything from her illness to his repressed sexuality. The only exception is pyramid head. He acts as James’ reflection to punish him for his actions, but resembles a portrait of a town executioner found in the historical society that seemed to weird James out. Similarly, Henry Townshend (SH4 protag) isn’t involved in the cult, and also hadn’t done anything wrong. But Walter Sullivan is tied to the cult and trying to kill Henry and the Otherworld/town’s power is slowly seeping into other, nearby places. So the monsters are symbolic to Walter, not Henry.

There’s layers and a dimensional shift of sorts occurring between versions of the town. You have the regular town, the Fog World where subconscious parts of the mind can manifest acting as the sort of ‘purgatory/transition state’ between the Normal town and the Otherworld, the (often, but not always) rusty and bloody Otherworld, and Nowhere, which is a unique part of the Otherworld that pertains to Alessa in particular.

Yes, the fog was originally used to combat the hardware limitations of the time and became iconic. But the blood and rust isn’t exactly a part of the history of the town or anything and may not be the universal experience. Other characters might see something totally different based off of their own issues/mental state/etc. Angela’s Otherworld, for example, is more fleshy, blatantly (and uncomfortably) sexual, and on fire from the little we get to see of it because of what she did and what she went through. Laura, on the other hand, can move through the town easily and doesn’t see anything bad because she’s a little kid who, at worst, might be overwhelmingly lonely and have that influencing what she experiences. Meanwhile, Heather sees things that are fiery and fleshy/sometimes even womb-like, James sees things that are fleshy and kind of rusty and rotted, and Henry frequently sees things like giant umbilical cords when he uses a portal to leave his apartment.

Ultimately, the experience a character has depends on who they are, what they’ve done, and/or what their connection to the area is.

There’s a lot more to it than this response covers tbh, but I hope this at least gives you a better idea of what’s going on lol.

Explaining the lore of silent hill 3 GO

Okay so to understand this u need to know the lore of silent hill 1

In Silent Hill 1 (SH1) the main character is Harry Mason and he had a daughter named Cheryl. On Cheryl's 7th birthday they went to the town because she really wanted to go. They get in a car crash and Cheryl goes missing, and Harry sets out to find her

There are two important figures in SH1 and SH3, Dahlia Gillepsie and Alessa Gillepsie. Dahlia is the head of a cult called The Order, and she's basically trying to birth God. Her daughter Alessa has powers, and when Alessa turned 7, Dahlia tried to make her the mother of God

Alessa, not wanting to go through with that, split her soul in half, and she made the second half go far away. That soul turned into a baby, the one that Harry found and adopted.

When Cheryl turned 7, she was called back to Alessa.

The ritual doesnt go well since Harry ends up killing the God thing. Alessa makes a new child and gives it to Harry

Okay, rundown

Cult called the order wants to birth God

Alessa doesn't want to be impregnated to birth God

She splits her soul

Soul piece becomes Cheryl, Harry's daughter

Soul piece goes back to Alessa

God is born then killed by Harry

Harry gets a new child to replace Cheryl

And Harry names this new baby 'Heather'

Heather is the protagonist of SH3. What happens is she spots monsters when heading back home to her father. To shorten everything, theres this detective called Duglas that stalks her since he was paid to research her, but Heather tells him to basically piss off

Heather, after fighting many monsters and finally going home, finds that her father Harry is dead and has been murdered.

She goes to find the killer, and the killer is a woman named Claudia. Claudia is kind of like Dahlia from the first game, a delusional and religious woman trying to make 'paradise'

Heather attempts at killing Claudia but fails. She goes back downstairs and finds Duglas, and they kind of make an agreement not to hurt eachother

Heather, after killing more monsters finds a hospital of sorts, and in a library she finds a man named Vincent

Vincent is also a member of the Order but he doesnt want to birth God because it would be 'unpredictable' and not 'convinient'

The reason i bring Vincent up is because during a conversation with heather we learn something new

"You get excited when you listen to them cry and snuff out their lives!"

"Are... you talking about the monsters?"

"...

Monsters?

They looked like monsters to you?"

"*Gasp*- oh no..."

"It's just a joooke!"

With that, we don't know if the monsters Heather was killing were human or not or just the effects of the Otherworld. (the otherworld is a dimension created when the God ritual is going to be done)

Heather learns that shes been IMPREGNATED with the God and what does she do?? She eats this thing from her necklace Harry gave her and she throws up the fetus

And then claudia fucking EATS THE FETUS SO SHES THE ONE TO BIRTH GOD

Anyway Claudia dies, God is born, and Heather kills God

Vincent got stabbed by Claudia and Duglas is alive and he and Heather r friends

Can we all please collectively shut up about how "Team Silent couldn't do XYZ in Silent Hill 2 due to the technical limitations of the time" now? In addition to being just plain wrong, it's actually really presumptuous toward Team Silent's artistic efforts. You're assuming they didn't do everything they set out to do, and inadvertently implying that they could have done better had they somehow magically had "better" tech at their disposal when developing the game, which is backwards ad-hoc reasoning at best. Moreover, Sato's personal attitudes seem to lean away from saying "We can finally do the thing we want now that we have the tech"; see the third link. Working with the PS2's quirks and capitalizing on its strengths doesn't mean you're "limited" by them. Stop that.

Sato has said that the limitations they kept running into when developing Silent Hill 1 were time constraints and problems with workplace bureaucracy, not technical limitations. Similar time-related issues plagued the development of SH3. SH2 was the game where his team had the most time and freedom to fully realize their vision. If any of the original trio can be accused of having its creative vision "limited," it's definitely not 2.

THE LADY IN RED

God created beings to lead people in obedience to her. The red God Xuchlibari, The yellow God Lobsil Vith. Many Gods and Angels...

Think I've talked about this one before.

An archetype that appears in most Silent Hill games (Well, the original ones anyway), is what I dub the "Lady in Red".

Usually this is a woman dressed in a Red garb of some kind, often heavily associated with the underlying supernatural of Silent Hill. For SH1, it's Lisa Garland, for SH2 its Maria. SH3 doesn't show the archetype, but Lisa makes an appearance again (Albeit subtly), and SH4 occurs outside of Silent Hill.

Now, I don't actually think that the "Old Gods" of Silent Hill are at all ancient or old. I think, like the Cult that follows them, that most of the entities here are Stolen.

Cos remember, Silent Hill didn't get its full on Otherworldly power until Alessa stepped in. So any True "mythology" behind the Cult would've sprung from Alessa's powers first--the "proof" as it were.

Cos we also have to remember that the Cult's ideas are a Farce. SH1 outright proves that with the Hospital Scene. The only purpose here to obtain power, so all you need is to string some bullshit in the face of actual Supernatural ability (Like Alessa's reality warping, or the presence already present in SH--wouldn't shock me if one another were the same deal).

So everything is made up, and its highly based on whatever Alessa did in Silent Hill 1. This includes SH3's "Sun" track, detailing the "Creation Myth". If you look at it, it looks more like a delusional and distorted retelling of SH1.

Put Alessa as God. A Man offers a Serpent to the Sun (Michael Kaufmann, who is a Doctor, and Hospitals are represented by Serpents), and a woman offers a Reed (Well, process of elimination--Dahlia Gillespie) and "God" is created (Well when two people "love" each other very much...)

Alessa sets the stage by incident, the Fog World and the Otherworld. "God Creates Time", and the two Cycle "God Creates Day and Night".

"God creates the path to Salvation"--Silent Hill paths the way for you to learn from your mistakes. Its not gonna be easy, anyone who's played the games knows this--and it doesn't always end pretty if you don't learn.

"And then God created Beings (To lead people in obedience to her)".

There were no "Beings" before Alessa.

Everything the cult thinks is just their delusion, their projection or their lies. There was no Valtiel before Alessa--in truth, there technically was no Valtiel before Silent Hill 2 (Which means someone stepped into that role).

And Silent Hill cannot created something from nothing. Everything it does, its based around the town and whoever is experiencing it.

The Lady in Red, the Red God Xuchlibari, is the only person Alessa ever encountered in Red-- Lisa Garland.

And Lisa has incarnated repeatedly through the various Silent Hills since her Death (and Alessa... departure).

I propose, that Lisa is also Maria. This is why Maria is apart of the town, a reflection of James--and very human and conscious for a projection, almost uncomfortably so given the circumstance.

Lisa is the only known Spirit of any influence and personality, the only one who survived Alessa's onslaught of the otherworld, albeit as a ghost--with the implication that she was Allowed to survive as such.

She doesn't appear in SH4, because she's attached to Silent Hill proper.

Her minor appearance in SH3 could imply that the reason she doesn't appear outright, is because Heather doesn't remember and can't see the spirits as anything more than monsters at the moment.

But Lisa is our only god here.

ADDENUM:

As for our Yellow God, we'd have to ask who else was around when Alessa changed Silent Hill, who exactly else she was fond of that could become an Archetype of sorts. There really isn't anyone that's specifically associated with Yellow. But if we look at the "paintings" in Silent Hill 3...

With Red God on the left of "God" and the Yellow on the Right--look what he's associated with. A written Book, a Scribe. And next to him, what appears to be something akin to the Flauros...

And his name does mean "Bad Flesh Vessel"--so an angel that's possibly handicapped, or its body considered cursed or evil in some way.

... Well, we know of someone who's considered Vital but also a Villain to the Order, and who was explicitly a Writer, who's own Saved Points were Notepads...

Lobsel Vith is Harry Mason, and his arrival with Cheryl is what kicked Started Silent Hill.

And when he died, he seemingly "Vanished" into the otherworld of Silent Hill.

I think the reason none of our Archetypes appeared in SH3, is because Alessa is "God" here and that means Heather is too. The various "Beings"--being people who literally helped Alessa / Cheryl in life-- wouldn't have stood by and let Heather go through Hell for another's Delusions. So Claudia had each "Angel / God" surpressed. The Incarnating Lisa bound and gagged and tormented. And Harry murdered outright (which was probably the poorest decision, because Alessa's influence considers Harry a god, so Claudia effectively spelled her own doom by doing that. There's a good chance that Harry is the one who kept leaving helpful if odd items of use for Heather )

The Perfect Soundtrack in a game.

Hey Folks, Wanted to talk about something important to me, music.

See, Music in my opinion is probably one of the most important things in games. It sets the tone, tells a story and sets one of the biggest impressions on the game.

From Serious games to less than serious ones. From MUSIC to Atmosphere and everything in between, video games RELY on their soundtracks more than many realize.

But One question on my mind: What makes the PERFECT Soundtrack?

Well I obviously think that is subjective. Naturally that's up to everyone's own individual opinions.

Mine though? It's pretty simple. It has to work as both a Soundtrack to a game, AND, it has to work as an album. The Soundtrack has to work in both regards and be uplifted in different ways in both regards. Naturally I want to give examples.

Silent Hill 2 is often considered the best in the series, but as far as Music is concerned I think it takes the silver trophy. The Soundtrack is great, genuinely amazing. But the problem with it is that a lot of it feels more just atmosphere than it does music. Take this for example:

This is Ashes and Ghost, a song used for the Blue Creek Apartments section when enemies are around. Is it bad? No, far from it, it works perfect for the game. Sets up the atmosphere great and is an overall great song IN GAME. But it isn't listenable. Mostly just scary atmosphere to me.

But of course, let's also add my favorite:

The Melancholic tone, the guitar that that drives it, the garage tone to the whole thing. It makes it feel more natural and real. The song is down to earth and homey. Perfect for the tone the games give of real people delving into hell (metaphorically speaking)

Now, Does SH3 have atmosphere songs to? Yes, Yes it does. BUT here's the thing. The Soundtrack works though. For the actual SOUNDTRACK, they trim the fat and make it a full actual album. Yeah, I think this counts. To me, if they put the thought of which ones to put in it for you. That works too. The soundtrack's melodic tunes used actually fit a full album. Listen to is and you feel like you have both a great OST and a great album. Here's my favorite.

The Way the song perfectly explains Heather's emotions and pain. The way it epitomizes how much the pain has changed her in just a single night. The way the song sets up all of the emotions. Utterly perfect song, for a near perfect game. Silent Hill 2 and 3 both could be considered perfect, but I give the gold to 3 as it feels like it tried a little harder to be listenable than 2.

Bloodborne is another perfect one to me. The soundtrack is gothic in nature and every boss has a unique song that fits the boss perfectly (Except the Chalice bosses, but we don't count them). The Songs are all amazingly done and fit the game so well, telling the story of the characters perfectly often without any words at all. Here's 2 of my favorites:

This song is why I am giving 2 songs here. This one is very good and super haunting, for many acting as the END GAME'S FINAL BOSS THEME. It's quiet and scary and is a song that you've heard a few times before even all the way back in the beginning of the game. You were MEANT to fight this boss. This is what you were put here to do. You never had a choice as you realize it had been a leitmotif* the whole time in the game.

This song is the epitome of what Bloodborne's music is like. Haunting, intense, intimidating and perfect. Lady Maria stands tall as the Postergirl for the whole DLC expansion: The Old Hunters. Her Song becoming even more haunting when the lyrics are translated (A rare luxury in FromSoft games) Telling the tale of how this whole thing with the fishing village happened and the regret she feels. She isn't a bad guy, she isn't trying to kill you for a bad reason. She just want you to back off and not repeat HER mistake. That whole thing makes an extra layer of sadness to her theme, especially for me who more than repeated it by joining her family's group.

Many out there will wonder which FF soundtrack I think is perfect and while I will tell you my favorite one right after, just for fun. I think this is the best soundtrack they made. Trigger is more the fan favorite but it's soundtrack has some pop culture songs in it which takes me out of it (Robo's theme being the obvious example). This Soundtrack though, oh it fits so well. Not a single song misses the mark. The Music feeling like you've entered into the tropical world of the El Nido archipelago. The composer researching how the music in these places are like to properly recreate it for the soundtrack being the icing on the cake. Here my favorite:

The Opening song accompanying the opening movie paints a picture of the grand journey you are about to go on, and the vast array of unique locations. The Song is beautiful and unique and feels like a song straight out of the world itself, I get lost every time I listen to it.

The swan song for the Turn Based RPG era of Final Fantasy. Final Fantasy X's music plays a pivotal role in the game and fittingly is genuinely beautiful. Feeling like a mixture of sci-fi, Religious and Tropical. The Soundtrack features many amazing beats worth remembering and listening to. I often get lost in the songs. That said not all are album worth and so it's not what I choose as Perfect. But damn is it so close it might as well be.

Auron being the (in my opinion) Best character in the game, if not series, naturally his song is my favorite. He's a man who epitomizes the themes of letting go of the traditions that hold us back and hurt us, and embracing a future where we work towards true happiness. He's the kind of character who I love to cheer and cry about. His music fits him so well that by itself I cry a bit

Of Course I was going to add a fighting game soundtrack. Killer instinct is an amazing special case in fighting game soundtracks. All the songs feel like genuine songs out of an AMAZING album. Each song having a unique feel that explains the character perfectly in every way. Now many love the soundtrack, but why Killer Instinct? Because while I love Guilty Gear's soundtrack as a Silver medal, the soundtrack is poorly mixed in game. Baiken's theme being the best example. I'd show you but it's hard to show via article. But KI does things differently. The soundtrack is dynamic and flows with the flow of combat, making it perfect on that regard alone. On top of that there is the in game mix and the Album mix. Both being great, but the thought to make an album mix makes it all the better. Here's My favorite:

This song is often considered the best in the game. I'm Back to Rise is such a well made song. It's intense and epic while simultaneously tells the story of who TJ Combo is. You get to know him JUST FROM THE SONG ALONE, but you don't sacrifice gameplay. Honestly, I love this OST so much it was the first game soundtrack I actually BOUGHT.

Finally the one that surprises people the most when I tell people: The Sims. The Sims has this great relaxing atmosphere designed to fit in with the retro 60s aesthetic of the game itself. The music is jazzy but in like a GOOD smooth jazz sorta way, while including appropriate other songs when necessary. I often listen to it when I'm out, blending in well with my day to day, while not hindering me like louder soundtracks. Here's my favorite:

Now to me, this shit is so fucking relaxing. I get lost in the beautiful piano solo. I just want to lay down and relax and read a good book, maybe grab a cup of tea with honey and just... relax... Which is perfect for the game. It wants you to feel like that for the fun doll house aesthetic. Building a house in late stage capitalism has never been more fun.

They erased his old self and molded him into a perfect soldier, so once he finally got away from the military he couldn't remember his old life anymore, all he had was his military experience. So he became a bodyguard, putting his skills to good use. He eventually crosses paths with Viiveh who is trying to run from the Condesce and offers to protect him, and they eventually hit it off <3

Baxtin used to be part of a semi-popular lowblood boyband called Sequence, though they fell out of popularity and while they aren't officially broken up... It's been a couple sweeps since they toured or even met up. Instead Baxtin spends his nights farming melons and gourds from seeds he kinda just found and decided to cultivate. Luckily his lusus, Timber, loves them. Timber is a huge south alternian longhorn bull and has cartoon physics for no known reason. He is actively a problem for the resident of Baxtin's town. This is upsetting for Baxtin cause he's incredibly socially anxious and scared of... well everything. He tends to be very spacey and doesn't listen to retain things very well outside of his music, but he's got major artistic blockage atm. His neighbor and best friend Vivsy keeps him grounded, though they don't see eye to eye very often (mostly on Vivisy's side- and not cause he's shorter!!)

Rudy is a 21 y/o guy(?) who lives in the small town of Junebug. he lives with his 2 moms and service dog and is dating his childhood best friend. he works at the local library and is all around seen as a nice, albeit introverted, boy. but... his true passion lies on the Internet, where he boasts a kinda-small but kinda-big youtube subscriber count. his main claim 2 fame are his MLP:FIM reviews, which are as opinionated as you'd expect but a bit more positive than most bronies at the time. the other half of his content consists of delving into lost media. (which happens to be his second important special interest. the first is mlp g4) Other interests include internet archival, html coding, piracy, and DOOM.

online/in videos rudy presents himself as sarcastic, quick to yell at inconsistencies, and Very emotional at times. in reality he definitely is all of those things but dialed down a ton. he's sensitive to rejection and very hard on himself because of that. he hates when people complain about the things he likes and takes lots of shit that doesnt have anything to do with him personally (thats the anxiety talking) he's been hit with the ol' depression + GAD + autism combo so his life can be a living hell sometimes, but his girlfriend and dog help calm him down when he's stressed. there's also some toxic masculinity + gender crisis going on in that brain of his but he'd rather die than admit any of that. even though he has all these negative traits, he's helpful in his community (online and irl) and affectionate towards the closer people in his life. most people just dont see that side of him.

Chylia is a hemoanonymous limeblood troll (dancestor ghost) who is great with survival and fighting thanks to the sabertooth lusus that miraculously saved her from culling. She's very competent and was the only member of her Sgrub team to reach god tier. But they also take themself too seriously in such a way that they wind back to being silly! Like half of the things they do are for the aesthetic, to be honest. They wear a dramatic black mask and cape, and they use a giant machine gun to feel powerful and edgy. They used to dye their hair fully black, but now they partially dye it so the white roots can be partially seen. Chylia is a total edgelord and I love her and I hope you do too after reading this!

Shafan has been around since 2015, making friends in the tumblr ftc! They're a Brer Rabbit pastiche, a laid back traveling musician, trickster and occasional smuggler, and they love nothing better than sharing a smoke, swapping a story, and stealing from rich folks. A more or less homeless vagrant they wander from place to place, breaking hearts and singing songs. They make friends wherever they go, but they have a powerful fear of commitment that keeps them from getting too close to anyone. As soon as someone starts looking too attached, they skip town, and boy can they run! Shafan is faster on foot across open ground than just about any troll alive, at least according to them, and they're always happy to prove it with a race. So if you've got a story to tell, a song to share, or you just need someone to deal you weed for a (mostly) fair price, look for the white haired rusty playing banjo on the corner and come say hello!

After an incident during take your child to work day where he ended up fused with a husky puppy, Kris was taken into custody by his father's employer, Skaianet Labratories. He doesn't remember much of his time before then, and spends most of his time trapped in a room watching movies on his laptop or reading ebooks about grand adventures. Kris always keeps an eye out for the timer on his wall, as he hopes that once it hits 0 it'll mean he can finally leave his room and see what life is like outside the walls of the laboratory. Unknown by him, he's been cast to play a role in an experimental sburb session.

Popahv came from an amazing homestuck ttrpg campaign called Binary System, which we even tried turning into a fanventure for a little bit there! Popahv is just a sweet little guy with some serious attachment issues. He loves his friends more than anything and thinks it's his responsibility to take care of them, whether they want him to or not. Add this to an exploit in the game giving him some extremely overpowered mind control powers, and Popahv becomes just a little problematic! He means well, honestly.
