been wanting to make a second design for my hollow knight ocs, so i got started on concepts for that. im pretty happy with inkwell but im still pretty uncertain with rock and quill - rock whether or not i want her to be a cow or hyena, and quill his colors.

rock also has two drawings of her. the first is of her as an anthropomorphic cow. she's cream-colored with brown at the end of her limbs, elbows, cheeks, the top of her head, ears, and tail. there are black speckles on the top of her head and on her tail. she has big red eyes. she's wearing a light blue shirt with a yellow pinafore, which has a green heart on the pocket. she's standing with her right arm up as though waving. the second drawing is the same, except it's her as a hyena. her name is written above her, including her real name albalyn, and "cow?" and "hyena?" are written above each relevant drawing.
quill is a fluffy drake with ram-like horns, and two pairs of much smaller horns below. he has a big ridged nose-horn. he has a single large spike on his back between his shoulders, a trio of smaller ones at the base of his tail, and another trio of small ones at the end of his tail. his eyebrows are fluffy. he is dark blue, with a darker tail, limbs, and head. his face, throat, and front paws are white, and there are also large white dapples on his tail-tip. he is standing idly, facing the left. his eyes are gray. text above his head reads, "fluffy brows".

chapter 15:
1. the first thing she asks about the games being coryo’s prize is heartbreaking and sweet at the same time. also love that she doesn’t even react to his task for the prize, she’s tlred.
2. she’s trying to defend her answer and speed in her own mind because she’s not only scared but a little ashamed too.
3. coryo being jealous of sejanus is everything to me. he gets to have it all for all his life and on top of that, r trusts and likes him more? lucy gray is really the one for seeing through coryo.
4. lucy gray shown as a best friend is all that i needed apparently.
5. well, you didn’t think she was labeled as the weird one, did you coryo? a mother who named her son “lennox” certainly knows enough about tragedies just like a girl who is named after a poem.
6. it’s so funny and sad at the same time that coryo is there only for her and she’s talking about seeing him around sometime. long way to go for them.
7. i hope the fact everything bad about coryo having happened at night doesn’t cause problems because that would be even worse.
8. “that he jumps on the next Capitol bound freight train to do something you would never forgive him for.” in lennox i trust.
9. i just know that she didn’t tell anyone about the things she did and it’s eating her inside.
🤭🤭 many thoughts on this part i tell you WHAT
1. i think in a way she’s so focussed on him and his prize so she can allow herself to believe that the games had more of a good outcome than they actually do. it has to be good for someone, right?? and also, yeah she is so not shocked by how twisted that is after she went through all of that. she’s like “oh ofc they want us to be likeable- it makes it more awful to watch. why wouldn’t they want that.”
2. oh for SURE she is. is she just scared of him, or is she scared of his perspective of her changing?? who knows (honestly? not even me)
3. YEAH AND I FEEL BAD FOR HIM LOWKEY,, he’s trying his best to be so normal about her and it really isn’t working. he’s giving that normalness up though in bits and pieces- but he couldn’t ever blame her for a thing
4. i just know she is such a good friend
5. HAHA YES. i think also a bit of that confusion comes from the place of r being declared as “his” and she was immediately so different from anyone he had ever met, it’s hard for him to fathom that people treated her so ordinarily when in his mind she is so extraordinary.
6. yeah 🥲 imagine he’s just sitting there waiting at all hours for her to be free so he can see her again while she’s going about her life as normal (as normal as it can be right now) lol
but i don’t want it to get twisted, it’s not that she doesn’t want to see him. i think she really does, she’s just… hesitant. for an array of obvious reasons.

I know we're currently on hater time, but this has been on my mind for a while, and my dc friends aren't kon-el stans, so!!
Last week, I finished revisiting the JLU series, and the way Clark feels about his family, and Krypton has been plaguing my thoughts ever since I need DC to grow some balls and make an Elseworld where Kal gets to have a little baby superboy trailing behind him (Batman and robin style).
I just get so sad over the thought the only ever person Clark got to share his love for Krypton with is Kara, and she leaves (sorry if this is a spoiler) to be happier in the future, so Clark just ends up "alone" again :(!!
Maybe my mind has been poisoned by Saki's Baby Kon au, but I just want Clark to be able to enjoy raising his kids. I just want him happy :(!!

i've never actually watched jlu (well i think i saw like 3 episodes) but yeaaaaa... YEAHh.... i don't think that happens in postcrisis (at least, kara and brainiac 5 only had an implied romance that via some time travel fuckery, to kara, hadn't happened yet but to him had already ended). and then new krypton gets mcfucked and all that jazz.
but overall YEAH... baby kon <3 :) clark bonding with him :) i am once again thinking about @loisinherlane's single dad clark au it means the world to me and if you haven't read it you shoulddd hehe
i also sometimes toy with the idea of the common "character gets magically de-aged to a child" trope but with kon specifically because he never got to be a little kid before. i think it could be fun. yeah he'd be cute (ma kent bouncing him on her knee while he explains that all the planets and stars stay in the sky because "they have tee-tee-kay so they can fly!") but also. he would have NO life experience. that would be so scary for him and yet soooo fun to explore if done right, yknow?? and clark getting to take care of a kon who was experiencing childhood for the first time could be sooo good. the endless curiosity. the confusion over the smallest things. the absolute terror of doctors and medical settings. the lil baby ttk he hasn't got his usual level of control over. and so on and so forth.

so. ive been thinking about how enid appears so much in the trailers but she barely appears in the actual series so let me rant a bit. for season 2 i want a plotline that goes like this:
enid notices her claws always come out when shes with ajax and starts getting annoyed at that like why cant she just feel comfortable with him? then she starts panicking about that so much and acting weird that HE breaks up with her and shes obviously gonna be upset, but not in a "the boy i like broke up with me" way, in a "i SHOULD be upset but i didnt even like him that much" way. she feels empty. but wednesday does her best to console her wich makes enid notice how much wednesday cares about her and that is worth the fuzzy feelings in her stomach. we get over the ajax storyline.
she starts going out to watch wednesday play the cello, she paints wednesdays nails, she asks questions about wednesdays interests and tries her hardest to not puke on the gorey parts of her rants, they have fun together. wednesday still doesnt think any of it cause shes never had a friend like that and thinks getting nervous every time enid sits near her in the balcony to watch her play is normal. she also notes how enid pays attention and is okay with her boundaries, only touching and hugging her when she makes it clear that its okay, which is growing to be all the time, as she gets used to enids clingyness.. anyways they can hug some more and share some deep dark secrets in one of those super sincere scenes so we get some more development, and in a quiet moment when it feels right, enid gets closer to kiss her, but not quite enough. she wants wednesday to be the one to allow such a thing to happen, she wants to be absolutely sure that its okay. and it is. wednesday kisses her.
theyre still nervous and awkward afterwards but in a nice fuzzy way yknow let us have some wholesome content please. as far as wholesome goes with wednesday addams.
I THINK if we actually want a sapphic storyline for them they shoulddd develop it well because the CHEMISTRY is there. the INTENSITY of their relationship is there. they do have the potential !!
