Is it ludicrous that Syd and Jack get away with being double agents for so long? Yes for a million reasons. They have sensitive conversations in public and at SD6 headquarters constantly. They drop Vaughn's name like it's Smith. They talk about the CIA at top volume. But also emphatically NO because Arvin Sloane will believe anything when it comes to his best boy Jack Bristow

It is Pride Month Sydney, You Know What that Means
Based, of course, off the Breaking Bad pride month comic
Umm, don't look at that too closely. Anyway! Today I have compiled some of my favourite queer Alias fics, for your reading pleasure! In no particular order:
Thinking of You is a Poison I Drink Often by Best_Bi_666
Now I know I never shut up about this, but it is genuinely my favourite Anna/Sydney fic I've read! The dialogue is amazing, we've got a little bit of a mystery going on, and the girls are just in excellent form. It's rated Teen and is ongoing.
(The Meaning Of) Restoration by Jennifer-Oksana
Is it cheating to put a crossover on this list? I'd argue not, especially when it's as good as this one. The pairing is Lauren/Lilah from Angel, and while there's some very neat insights into BOTH characters, I don't think you have to be particularly familiar with Angel to enjoy it. It's rated Explicit.
Echoes by aphrodite_mine
There's never enough Rachel in the world, there's never enough Isabelle, and this story is doing it's darndest to make up for the lack. Isabelle finds out a secret from Sydney's past, and goes to seek out an old friend. An extremely interesting story. Rated Teen with an archive warning for Underage, so proceed at your own discretion.
A Book of Matches #3 by voleuse
What can I say, I love me some Anna/Sydney! This is a short, fun little meeting between the two while Anna's on a mission. Rated Teen.
Need to Destroy by hold_that_thought
Sydney starts having dreams about her missing years, dreams that Lauren is suspiciously involved, and she's determined to get to the bottom of it. Julia/Lauren is always a delight to see, and this certainly delivers well! Rated NC-17.
Gentlemen Prefer Blonds by auchic
Weiss has to start babysitting Sark, and absolutely nothing about this could possibly go wrong. A Syd/Weiss/Sark story that leans into the silliness a bit. All in all, just a fun read! Rated Explicit.
very little changes by MasterofAllImagination
Jack and Sloane meet again, and again, and again throughout the years. I'm in love with both the concept and the writing! Rated Teen.
Three Meetings by Vaznetti
And because this is my list, I'm gonna send you all off with another crossover! This time an X-Files crossover with Sark/Krycek as the pairing. Again, I don't believe you need to be familiar with both shows, but their Krycek is a delight! Sark is sent to meet someone who confuses and irritates him. Some wonderful tidbits about Irina on the side as well. Rated Teen.
Did I miss one you love, or you've written one yourself? Please share it! We'd love to see it! :D I'll also briefly mention that I didn't find any fics with trans characters, so if you have any up your sleeve *please* let us know! And, above all, you're cool, stay safe, I love you :) <3
I do recognise the irony in the fic rec blog *asking* for recs hee but we play the cards we're dealt you know

one of my two questions from this rewatch is did Arvin and Jack explore each others bodies at some point. what is the relationship here
also the scene in the shop where Syd is buying a rocking chair and lady talks to her and asks about her husband and what he was doing and Syd says "wishes he could do more" hurts... deals damage guys because he is dead and she misses him (I know that he is not actually dead dead but you know it counts as hurt)

So. I'm halfway through season 3 of my Alias rewatch and here are some thoughts:
1. I love Jack Bristow 😍
2. Vaughn irritates me much more this time around than he did back then, especially when he tries to judge Jack for his decisions
3. Eric Weiss!! I love him and Sydney together
4. Love to hate Arvin Sloane. It was a relief to find out about his 'extracurricular activities'
5. Sydney having absolutely none of Sloane's bullshit
6. I hate Lauren 😠
7. Marshall! 🥰
8. 'Breaking Point' was so good (especially knowing what's coming)
9. Jack being a protective father and he will stop at nothing (yes, murder) to protect Sydney
10. Jack calling Sydney 'sweetheart' (yes, I'm keeping count, what of it)
