~ You stepped on a crack, and skidded. With a mug full of hot coffee like scalding honesty, down my shirt. On a kinder day I’d have been nice, on that day, when I was already exhausted, you.. made me burst out laughing. It didn’t help that you were turning progressively beet redder, trying ineffectively to bat at my chest and now brown spattered shirt. Under other circumstances, a complete stranger who’d first burnt me and now had his hands slapping away at my chest, would have earned himself a good shove. With you, I couldn’t stop laughing, and trying to comfort you that no, I wasn’t scarred for life. No, I don’t hate you, and no, it’s fine, I’m okay, I’m more concerned about my suddenly transparent front. Although saying that last bit out loud certainly snapped you out of your reverie, and you shrugged your shirt off for me. . Under this red sheets, I bury my morning dreams . . .
