Wed evening I sat down with my brand new business planner from @alaiawilliams to plan out Dec and Jan which included joining the Aquatic Therapy and Rehab Institute and working up a presentation proposal for their 2018 conference. Thu morning I woke up to a Christmas present of a 2018 ATRI membership from @aquakriyayoga. It was like the first day of advent a day early. So blessed and thankful. #aquayoga, #aquayogatherapy, #blessed, #grateful, #thankful, #christmasyoga, #serendipity, #fortuity, #2018 (at Bee Content Yoga)

Yesterday was a day of unpacking and relaxing and snoozing after my early morning flight. It’s hotter than expected here in #easternalgarve ( I’ve never visited in October before ) so sunning myself and dipping my legs into the pool was so rejuvenating. I have the pool to myself so if I can brave the coolness ( anyone who knows me I’m a sun worshipper, my #health and body don’t like the cold, no matter what #wimhoff says ! )😂 I only do #coldwaterswimming when is super hot 🥵 weather However while I’m here I’ll try to make the most of empty pool to show some of my #AquaKriyayoga moves … oh yes I completed recently my #specialist level training so I’m looking forward to doing group sessions and Bespoke 1-1’s These last few weeks in the UK I’ve missed swimming and being in the water daily, Im a #watersign #scorpion and it’s a heavenly experience. #algarve #portugal #waterlover #aquakriysyogaspecialist #kriyayoga #expatlife #livinginharmonywithnature #relocation #holistichealth #holistichealing #holisticwellbeing https://www.instagram.com/p/CjVnhHcKUuk/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

So You Think You Can't Do Yoga?
This weekend, I was inspired by one of my most knowledgeable and wise teachers, Camella Nair of Aqua Kriya Yoga. Aqua Yoga is a relatively new and expanding way to practice yoga. It is especially beneficial for those who want to practice yoga, but find it difficult to practice on a yoga mat. Swimming is not a prerequisite. The water is supportive on the joints and body. It allows access not only to poses the may not be accessible on land, but also to deeper release into a pose because of the buoyant property of water. Thus, aqua yoga helps everyone, from beginners to advanced practitioners. When my class was practicing in the pool this weekend, I had powerful and revelatory moments. As I was flowing through the poses and using props such as the wall and pool noodles, I noticed that I did not have to struggle with the more challenging poses. I felt light and that I could finally let go of unconscious muscle gripping and tension. My breathing was more relaxed and coordinated with my movement. I had the sensation that I could allow myself to be open to the support of the water and trust my body and breath. I was able to hold a particularly challenging pose, half moon, more steadily, focused and longer than ever before, because I made the decision to ignore my voice of self-doubt and allow my muscles and breath to take over. Most importantly, this weekend enhanced my passion to share yoga with those who think they cannot practice yoga. Aqua yoga is inclusive because it helps everyone - those with arthritis, scoliosis, muscle disease, hip and knee replacements, stroke and cancer survivors, wheel-chair and walker bound, and especially seniors and pregnant women. No one misses out on the many benefits of a yoga practice - stronger muscles and bones, pelvic stability, improved posture and balance, less pain, better breathing, improved mental focus, and stress relief. Why not try a class today?
