They’re both different.

Gilbert is absent-mindedly very physical; light touches here and there, feather-like kisses on Arthur's fingers or temple, a hand at the small of his back,

Arthur is more of the “inconspicuously taking care” type; having a hot cup of tea ready on cold days, cooking Gilbert's favourite sweets or just silently enjoying keeping him company.

Slowly they learn each other’s love language, and it feels like making click.

Day 5: Free Day - for @aphrarepairweek2021

This is a story I've wanted to tell for so long, and this seemed the perfect opportunity. It's a piece of queer history from Trondheim that reads like a fanfiction and I didn't know of it until last year - but it is perfect for ScotNor.

The story is of Jørgen von Cappelen Knudtzon, the eldest son of richest merchant family at the time from Trondheim, Norway. Jørgen took little active part the business, but lived off of checks from his family. When he was 20 years old in 1804, he travelled with ships to Indonesia for his father to buy porcelain. After he returned to Europe he settled for a while in London where he took part in the social life of partying - so much so that he got the name "Knutson the Norwegian".

In 1806 he once more joined his family's merchant ship to the West-Indies - but outside Jamaica, the ship sunk. He floated around on debris from the wreck for three days before he was resqued by a British ship. There he was tended to by the Scottish officer Alexander Baillie - and since then they never left eahc others' side. Baillie was the son of a rich landowner in Scotland, and the two of them spent the rest of their lives travelling between the city house and the manor in Trondheim, the Scottish castle, an appartment in London and Paris, and a small palace in Naples. They were good friends of Lord Byron and Jørgen became known as a collector of Arts and a Patronage. Jørgen and Alexander died only a year apart after spending almost 50 years together as a couple.
