Or alternatively, Charles Smith loves his new family and would follow arthur anywhere
(4 pages of writing brought 2 u by me blacking out and typing a lot. TW: Hunting, non-descriptive skinning/harvesting of animals, Wolves)
Charles may be a newer member of the gang, but he was there long enough to be just as loyal as any other.
He found a family in these people, brothers and sisters and friends. He would stick with them until the end. An end that seemed to be rapidly approaching.
Charles Smith wouldn't consider himself much of an intellectual, but it doesn't take much to see that the gang life is dying out. As he and Arthur got close, they spoke of it a lot.
Arthur's new focus on treasure hunting was really confusing. For the second time, Arthur asked Charles if they could take a detour on a hunting trip to go find some treasure stash or another that he heard about.
They weren’t exactly in a rush to get back, so Charles didn't exactly have a reason to decline. And Dutch was in a foul mood lately anyway, so maybe coming back with a little treasure might help with that.
So he agreed and followed Arthur and his weird map, all the way up assfuck nowhere Amberino, AKA Coterra Springs.
The whole way there, Arthur seemed off. Neither of them are exactly talkative men, but this wasn't their usual comfortable silence. Arthur barely stopped, not taking the time to comment on landmarks or interesting animals, they even passed a herd of paints and he barely glanced at them.
Getting there was somewhat of a blessing, Arthur seemed happy they had made such good time and immediately wanted to try and find the treasure. Charles had to be the one to pull him back and point out the obvious signs of a wolf pack living nearby.
This seemed to ring a bell in Arthur’s mind, and he pulled out his journal, flipping to the back where he had various maps tucked away. Pulling out his Legendary Animals map, he showed it to Charles. Should they encounter wolves today, they would be dealing with some dangerous ones.
They made a plan, Charles would keep an eye out for movement along the treeline (as well as pull a distracted Arthur away from the geysers), and Arthur would search for the next piece of the Jack Hall Gang's treasure.
(Charles had broken the silence on the way there to ask. “Jack Hall Treasure...as in the gang? What were they doing hiding maps and treasure?”
Arthur responded lowly, not wanting any passersby to hear what they were out for. “Apparently ‘fore they died out, they robbed some banks out in California, ran out here to escape the law. Buried the gold they stole an’ wrote out the maps to find it again, but Hall got his gang killed and arrested with a bad robbery ‘fore they could go back for the money.”
“Huh, some story. Song don’t quite hold up, specially with Sean and Uncle singing it.” Arthur chuckled at that, “Most songs don’t with ‘em.” The break in heavy silence was nice, but short lived as Arthur set back to studying the map.)
Arthur seemed to be getting more and more frustrated with the doodles on the map, trying to compare it to his regular map, and his surroundings. Charles said nothing, focusing on what looked to be shifting forms in the trees, wondering if it was elk or wolves.
By the time he realized it was wolves, it was too late. They had herded the men and their steeds without the knowledge of either. Just as Charles was about to quietly get Arthur’s attention, the man spotted what he was looking for.
“Charles, I think I found the damned treasure!” He said loudly, and pulled out a rattling bag of coins, effectively scaring the nervous horses into rearing and setting off the wolves.
It was a close call, the wolf of legend was massive and more intelligent than the average wolf. The pack was bigger than either of them had seen. A few of them ran off after the fleeing horses and the men could only hope they would be alright as they dealt with the majority of the pack and the biggest of them all.
The wolves seemed to run at them in waves of 3 or 4, always outnumbering the men and getting mighty close to biting distance before they were shot down. It was almost sad, having to take out such a large number of mighty animals, but it was the wolves or them.
Just when the pack seemed to be thinning out enough that they might start to retreat, the massive legendary wolf made his move. He took down Arthur from behind, and it was pure luck that Charles landed a shot through its massive head with his rifle.
The moment the legendary wolf went down, the rest of the wolves seemed to realize they would not be getting their prey and retreated. Several wolves ran back from the direction of the horses and based on the lack of blood covering their muzzles, they were unsuccessful in their pursuit.
Before Charles could even be relieved by the horse's success, Arthur groaned from beneath the massive animal. Charles quickly fell to his knees and dragged the wolf's carcass off Arthur, briefly marvelling at its weight.
Arthur groaned again in relief and heavily pushed himself up into a sitting position. “Christ, I'm too old to be getting knocked down like that. Creature outta be nothin but muscle, taking me down like that.”
Charles laughed, half in relief and half at Arthurs commentary. “He was huge, I’ll give you that. He was likely nearing 150 pounds, very large for a wolf. Are you alright?”
“I’m fine, just outta breath. Caught me off guard.”
Charles looked at the bag of gold coins sitting on the ground a few feet away. “Was it worth your treasure?”
Arthur seemed to remember it and quickly reached for the bag, apparently not wanting to get up yet. “Suppose we’re gonna find out.” Inside the bag was another map, that Arthur sighed at, but tucked aside to look at after.
He quickly counted the money. “15 dollars, not quite a damn treasure Hall.”
Charles was confused. They had been finding stashes of money like this for a while and as far as he knew, Dutch was just putting it away and it had barely been spent on anything. “It's not a bad haul Arthur, especially not for us. Why are you so focused on treasure lately? We could earn more if we went back to robbery.”
Not that robbery seemed such a good idea right now, after the mess that chased them out of Valentine. But it would certainly get them a larger haul than chasing ambiguous treasure from a years-old map like pirates.
Arthur was silent for a while, what he was contemplating, Charles had no idea. He seemed to be thinking mighty hard on it though. Finally, he sighed deeply and seemed to make up his mind about something.
“It’s quite the story if you wanna hear it. It's a pretty big secret too, not that I've ever been worried ‘bout you running your mouth or nothin.”
Charles smiled warmly at his friend, attempting to put him at ease. “You don't have to tell me Arthur, but you never have to worry about me sharing secrets with anyone. And we have nothing but time, we’ll be skinning these wolves for a while anyway.”
Arthur sighed before dragging himself to his feet. “Suppose you’re right. Let’s start getting these dogs together and I’ll tell you all about Hosea’s plan.”
Arthur did just that. He told the story from the beginning, every detail he remembered as they carefully skinned the wolves and salvaged what meat they could. Partway through, the horses had found their way back, a little antsy but no worse for wear.
By the time Arthur had explained the entire plan, night had fallen and they were finding a spot to camp. (Away from the spot where they left the stripped carcasses, lest they be attacked by a damn bear in their sleep.)
Charles had a lot of thoughts. The plan itself seemed rather solid and safe, definitely a result of Hosea being the one to make it. He would definitely need some time to think about it before he could make any real comments on it. For now, he could only say; “Certainly explains why Dutch is so irritable lately.”
Arthur laughed loudly, and Charles smiled. Arthur seemed so excited about this plan, happier than he had seemed in the whole of their friendship.
“Yeah, he weren't a fan of our lack of faith...Do you think you’ll go, Charles?”
Now that was quite the question. Such a life wasn’t anything Charles ever thought of as a possibility for himself, though he expects that how most everyone feels about it.
He thought about his family. Not so much his father, but his poor mother. She had always wanted a peaceful life for her family, and he can’t help but think she would have been thrilled at the idea of her son finding a ‘proper’ home after just wandering since he was 13. The lone wolf was never a title she would have wanted for him.
He also thought of the rest of his gang, his new family. He would never say it to her, but he had always hoped that one day Abigail would take her baby and find herself a safer home, he never wanted that boy to end up an orphan like him and many of the other members. Them and everyone else in the gang could be safe and fed and happy, and in a way, he felt he deserved to be a part of it. After being a lone wolf so long, he had earned a home to share with his family.
“I think I will. I’d like to see what it's like to have a real home. I haven't had that since my mother was taken.” He hadn't meant to be so open when he started speaking, but he supposed that Arthur is his closest friend now, so why not.
Arthur seemed surprised at his open words, but it shifted to happiness. “You know, I think that's somethin’ I’d like to try as well.”
They sat in comfortable silence for a while as the fire got properly warm, and Charles couldn't help but notice that this silence felt so different from Arthur’s silence on the way here.
And on their way home, Arthur stopped to study the herd of American paint horses, and Charles knew all was well once more.

Heart Heart Head
So when season 3 happened I wrote this little Fic about Lynda .. and well it’s not finished but here it is might finish it later !!
season 3 spoilers under read more !
Heart Heart Head
------
"Just do it man! It's over !" The upir gasped his body broken and unresponsive as he stared at the animal that used to be his friend/something more. "My body is broken and look at you! You're gonna live out the rest of your days as goddamn animal !"
The beast in question flinched as if the words physically hurt, and whined ears laid back as the large white wolf trembled slightly, even now instincts and heart fighting against each other . With one last weak growl the animal walked up to the upir and Quickly lunged for the throat snapping the neck for an instant kill, a small mercy that the last human part of
Peter could give to his suffering friend, before Digging into the tall boy's chest and pulling out the heart walking away feeling as if his own heart had been pulled out as well, tears in the wolfs eyes before he sunk into the oblivion of insanity .
Lynda woke up with a gasp, breathing heavily and feeling tears fall down her face as she clutched her Chest small sobs leaving her shaking frame.
Something was wrong something had happened to her baby boy, her good little boy .. Her good little man. She could feel it in the same way she felt the crack go through her entire body, when the doctor snapped Peter's collar bone in half. in order to help the newborn get unstuck from her birth canal.
She rushed to the bathroom and lurched over the toilet giving up the remains of dinner as she curled into a ball.
Zenada one of Peter's great Aunts placed a hand on her shoulder, "O simt de asemenea, acest lucru este ceva nu mama vrea să treacă prin , voi spune o rugăciune pentru sufletul său înainte de a pleca"
(i feel it too, this is something no mother wants to go through, I will say a prayer for his soul before you leave. )
The old woman gave Lynda a towel to wash her face and left yelling for husband to wake his lazy ass up and find her prayer book and light the candles and prepare a small offering for a safe journey.
The morning sun was just breaking over the Carpathian Mountains, when the small family sat in a circle candles surrounding a picture of a younger Peter around Four or Five holding a slightly disgruntled Black Cat and grinning delightedly up at the family. His hair wasn't as long but it did flop around like a mop.
Lynda felt a lump in her throat as she reached for the picture but stopped they were not allowed to touch the dead an old tradition to stop the spread of the plague.
Zenda and her Husband Alek, sat next to the grieving mother.
Zenda placed a hand on her shoulder, "Nicolai will meet him in the meadows don't worry.." She squeezed her shoulder and brought out the small plate of food an offering for the spirit to help him on his journey.
Alek took a breath before starting the prayer, Lynda closed her eyes and tried not to sob as much during the service.
It was a while after standing outside in their small yard that they burned all the letters Peter ever sent his mother, so his spirit wouldn't have any reason to linger behind.
When the smoke cleared and all that was left was ashes Zenda came up to the grieving mother, "..you know what you must do.. His soul won't rest Until it is done.. Think of it as letting him sleep.." She placed a hand on Lynda's shoulder. ".. The Rumancek line was destined for tragedy since the beginning when vârcolac fell in love with Upir. You know Mikal did not mean to hurt that cold girl child Olivia .. Upir breed she was.
He came back to her after selling the items and getting money for them both but by then she was gone and blood was in water.. They were never meant to be.." She gave her shoulder a squeeze, she knew what it meant to marry a Rumancek, many tribes have heard the story and seen the way the Vargulf's ran amok in the family line, Nicolai her husbands poor younger brother .. The pain and destruction he caused near the end of his days.
Perhaps this was a good thing the Rumancek's kept the Vargulf from spreading to other tribe's moon children, by sadly setting the example of what not to do.
Never change on wrong moon,
Never fall in love with Upir, they can't love anyway.
Never marry a Rumancek they will eat you whole .
A few weeks later Lynda found herself with some new forged documents and passport on a plane heading back to the states, to hemlock grove.
She landed at Harrisburg international and got through customs with little hassle her documents making their way through security, she then got herself a little rental car and small motel to stay the night, she felt strangely numb, as if everything was a dream. She was back in the states , she was here to see her son one last time before-.
She stood up and looked at herself in the mirror, she still looked normal not like a mother who just lost everything, who was here to put her son to sleep.
She tried to get herself to cry to feel something but it was like there was a ice cold wall around her, it was both a blessing by God and a curse from her heritage.
She was grateful for the cold numbness that surrounded her, protected her from the reality of the situation helped her eat like normal and tip the friendly waitress at the all night diner near her motel.
She was sipping some tea and staring off when suddenly she caught site of her baby boy her little Peter, he was 6 years old and charming some of her old coworkers into getting him some extra ice cream secretly of course.
They just couldn't resist his little blue-green eyes, those were the same eyes that begged Lynda to let them keep a cat even though they spent most of their time on the road, the same eyes that held such an intense hint of sadness and guilt whenever he asked if he was the reason he didn't have a daddy like other boys.
Those same eyes that lit up whenever she brought him a sketchbook for his birthday and always held a gentle warmth for the few special people in his life.
Lynda blinked and suddenly it was all gone she was sitting in a nearly empty diner holding on to a tea cup for dear life, the ice wall had its first small crack.
She got up and left putting her jacket back on and her hands touched the pearl necklace briefly remembering their first day in hemlock grove and how her son had gotten her a moving in present with his ever so clever five finger discount.
Another tiny crack appeared in her wall.
She walked back to her motel room and just crawled into bed letting the numbness take her to sleep. She was in California again Peter was 9, and was walking in front of her. they were in the redwood forest the trees were as tall as skyscrapers and she felt so small and unimportant underneath them, and yet her son did not, he felt at home here, as he told her all about the things he found on his full moon run here and all the animals he either chased off or timidly befriended.
"...Would you ever like to stay here Peter?." She asked wondering if her son ever wanted to just settle and maybe be normal well as normal as a young werewolf could be.
Peter turned towards her and tilted his head to the side, ".. Stay? Like forever?" He asked,
".. Perhaps " she smiled, ". We could get a house maybe an apartment more cats and you can keep going to school here"
Peter was quiet for a moment before shaking his head and scrunching up his face "..no I'd miss our car too much.. I like the road I like driving with you .." He then ran to her and hugged her tightly. "..its just me and you mama! forever!" He suddenly turned as he saw something that caught his eye, a bright yellow bird flew by, he was chasing it and Lynda suddenly found herself unable to move. She could only watch as a large white .. Beast that was the only thing to describe the wolf like creature a beast a Vargulf jumped out and ate her little boy whole right in front of her-
Lynda woke up with a shuddering gasp holding her chest and feeling tears prick at her eyes but they didn't fall they too were kept behind the ice wall the closed around her as she sat there in bed. She ran her hands through her hair and gently touched the necklace. ".. You're in my heart.. In my head .." She mumbled to herself an old Lullaby from when Peter was a baby, barely a month old and colicky.
Soon she was in her rental car passing by the welcome to Hemlock Grove sign, her ice wall still protecting her as she drove into the main part of town and stopped by destiny's place, where was her niece? Wasn't she getting married? Why did she never write back?
She parked not to far off and was soon walking down some familiar streets she walked up the stairs to destiny's flat and knocked on the door, perhaps her niece could help with this numbness that seemed to be her very being.
She waited as she heard someone come near the door and was surprised to see a young dark skinned male with long dreadlocks answer the door.
".. can I help you?" The man asked confused as to why there was an older woman in his doorway.
". ... .... uh n-no I'm sorry I just thought .. um my niece used to live here .. she was the former tenet do you know if she moved?" Lynda asked trying to keep the panic out of her voice.
".. uh no mam sorry apparently there was some sort of accident and the lady went missing got this place for cheap cause of it .." he shrugged .
".. oh.. ok.. thank you so much .." she quickly turned and left walking briskly out of the apartment complex.
Destiny wasn't missing she could feel it .. she was.- . She didn't want to think about it .
Lynda went back to her Rental car and drove around for a bit, heading up to the old trailer when something ran across the road, a large white dog? No that wasn't a dog, her heart lept in to her throat as she watched the wolf run away from a nearby flower shop a small bundle of mix matched flowers in its maw as the owner screamed at him and threw some rocks already dialing animal control.
The wolf ran in front of her car and down the road, Lynda quickly followed praying that it was just a random wolf and not her son.
She followed it for sometime and was surprised to see it slip into hemlock grove's cemetery.
She parked her car on the side of the road and got out opening the gate and trying to find him again.

Yes, the books were adaptable, part 2: Season 4 rewrite
Ideally, season 3 would have been 15 episodes long, to let them cover the remainder of A Storm of Swords, and season 4 another 15 episodes – but budgets and contracts being what they are, I can see using the Red Wedding as a finale.
What then becomes a problem is the scarcity of plot left in the book. My solution? Work as much of book 4 into this seasons as possible, from full plotlines to introducing characters ahead of time. This season will still, though, be more focused on character interactions because there is less plot, but that will be a breather before the plot-heavy next season (wherein we will cover most of books 4 and 5). I’m going to try to integrate this with the tone/prior changes of the show as much as possible, as well as reducing characters when it works. Spoilers for books 4 and 5 (and also lots of words) are under the jump:
Our first addition is incorporating the early stages of the Iron Islands arc. In the first episode, Yara makes her way down the coast; she passes a mysterious ship headed in the other direction. Back on the Iron Islands, Balon is fuming that his “rightful heir” is off on a fool’s errand (you might need some setup references to his two lousy brothers added to season 3). He gets killed by a reappearing Jaqen, and that mysterious ship roles into Pyke. It turns out it is Euron, who declares himself king. Younger brother Victarion protests on the basis of his “godlessness” (merging bits of Aeron into him to consolidate characters) and it looks as though the islands are heading to civil war. Yara gets the news and, frustrated, abandons her quest for Theon and returns to the islands. She calls for a kingsmoot to settle the dispute, and Victarion agrees. The arc ends the season with the kingsmoot, where Euron is declared king, Victarion joins him, and Yara flees to the North to find her brother.
Speaking of the Theon, Ramsay is playing hunting games with Reek until Roose shows up and puts a stop to all of this nonsense. Clearly Ramsay is not pleased about having his power taken away, but there isn’t anything he can do about it. Roose sends for “Arya” from King’s Landing to legitimate their power. We introduce a Jeyne character, who isn’t Jeyne from the book but can keep her name, as Tywin picks out a prostitute (excuse for a brothel scene!) to train to pretend to be her. As we see scenes of Roose and Ramsay trying to placate upset lords in the North, with some scenes of Theon’s abuse, we grow increasingly terrified for her, as she has no idea what she is getting into and thinks this is her chance to leave sex work and be “a real lady.”
Elsewhere in King’s Landing, Oberyn and Ellaria arrive…with Arianne, introducing her ahead of time to get our “in.” We add a romance with her and Bronn to give us more sexy times (and yes, he will be replacing Arys since the show already seems to not care about his actual story, and it was kinda problematic anyway). The Purple Wedding happens. Sansa escapes in the aftermath, and she and Tyrion are accused of conspiracy to murder.
Jaime and Brienne show up, at the right point in the story this time. Brienne is immediately arrested. Her arc will be extended by having Loras be on her side (since he didn’t believe she did it) and they can bond over memories of Renly, to give back story and character development. Jaime and Loras can also start their friendship over helping Brienne. Yes, this renders her somewhat passive for a season, but she’ll get more to do in season 5 than sitting around watching for a candle as a result.
Jaime and Cersei’s sept scene should be…disturbing and ambiguous enough in terms of consent to make audiences uncomfortable, but not violent rape. Jaime and Cersei’s relationship is strained both by his desire to reveal their relationship and by him helping Brienne. Jaime later rejecting leaving the kingsguard to get her out of being sent back to Casterly Rock, and siding and visiting with Tyrion doesn’t help Cersei’s mistrust either.
Oh, and we can include the scenes mentioned in the book of her offering a threesome and a marriage to Oberyn to get him to throw the trial. Instead Tyrion, helped by Bronn and Arianne, convinces him to be his champion. Shae is shown being threatened by Cersei and Tywin; once she sees the trial and realizes Tyrion is doomed no matter what she does, she asks for the protections he promised in exchange for betraying him.
As for Oberyn and Ellaria’s sexualities...sure, have a scene where someone is poking fun at Loras and Oberyn is all “I dunno, I’d tap that” to shut them up, or show them visiting a brothel to find their threesome but emphasize that (1) they’re a happy couple looking to spice up their sex life and (2) are also doing this as part of information hunting, hinting at Oberyn’s role as a spy. A cool sexy spy - but not screwing everything that moves.
Mountain vs the Viper should take place in episode 8. In the next episode, Shae refuses to sell out Sansa to Cersei, and her protections are revoked. She goes over Cersei’s head to Tywin. Jaime gets Brienne released, then visits Tyrion and lets him out; we keep the Tysha reveal and Tyrion’s response of telling Jaime about Cersei’s affair with Lancel. Tyrion kills Shae and Tywin, and this time the viewer knows Shae always loved him, only did this under duress, and we are so angry at Tyrion for killing her unjustly.
In the final episode, the twins find Tywin’s body. Jaime feels guilty, and he runs into Lancel, setting up hints of his jealousy. Cersei puts out price on Tyrion’s head, and foreshadows her prophecy, saying something like “I always knew he would betray me…I won’t let you take Tommen.” The full flashback can be next season.
Oh, it would also be good to hint heavily that Varys is Up To Something this season, getting and sending mysterious letters, to set up the reveal of Griff in the next season.
Sansa, after fleeing, is off to the Eyrie, where Littlefinger tries to turn her on Tyrion, and she recalls out loud the people who were good to her in King’s Landing: Tyrion, the Hound, and the Tyrells – not Littlefinger. “But who is helping you now?” he replies. Can she trust him or not? Tension!
He marries Lysa and they go the Eyrie. There, Sansa ably poses as Littlefinger’s daughter. She meets Robin and sees him have an epileptic fit, as well as his mother’s poor parenting. The snow castle scene and the kiss happen, and Lysa turning on her before being murdered. This arc ends with Sansa testifying that Lysa committed suicide and Robin saying she’s his mother now. (The show was actually pretty close on all of this, tbh.)
On Dragonstone, Stannis gets word of Balon and Joffrey’s deaths. Melisandre blames Davos for sending off Edric too early and tries to have him executed as a traitor. Stannis waffles, until Davos gets word from the Wall…
Up at the Wall, Sam is uncomfortable with Gilly telling stories of his defeat of the White Walker, but Jon is using the knowledge about dragonglass. Ygritte’s party attacks the Wall, she dies and it is sad. Jon has a wolf dream (see below) and it freaks him out. Gilly gets to exposit wildling knowledge on skinchangers, including the Second Life. Meanwhile there’s also rumblings in the Watch against the incestuous origin of her baby (”It’s cursed; maybe we should just let it die?”) The siege begins; Janos Slynt finally arrives from King’s Landing and Jon is betrayed and sent to the wildlings. Stannis shows up in episode 8 or 9 (depending on how full these episodes are). This arc ends with Jon being appointed Lord Commander by Sam’s political maneuvering.
Beyond the Wall, we’ll take the show’s idea of Bran running into the deserters at Craster’s Keep, but it will be Coldhands (who can be Benjen to save an actor, fine, whatever) and supernatural forces that slay them, not Jon. Bran will have a wolf dream where he reaches out to Jon and awakens his powers. Ends with Bran and the group battling the wights and making it into the caverns where they meet the Three-Eyed Raven.
Over in Slaver’s Bay, Dany will start moving towards Meereen. Backstory about Aerys and Rhaegar get provided by Barristan (which will reinforce Oberyn’s revenge motive). She eventually reaches Meereen. We can include the champion combat from the book as her initial idea, with Grey Worm filling in for Strong Belwas, only the Meereenese back down after he wins. Yeah, it’s padding, but we need it, there’s not much plot left. Dany gets a message from inside that the slaves are ready to revolt if she attacks in such-and-such a way, and she does, and Meereen falls.
In all of this, Jorah is being super jealous of Daario and it is grating; his pure good guy status slowly erodes as his love becomes obsession. Inside Meereen, a red priestess gives Dany the biggest points of her prophecies from Quaithe and the House of the Undying (betrayed three times, mummer’s dragon, must go back to go forward). When she pieces together from Barristan’s story about an informant that Jorah betrayed her, she concludes he’s betrayal #2 and sends him away. Dany decides to stay and rule Meereen.
In the Riverlands, we have two plotlines. The first is Arya and the Hound. In the book, they head towards the Eyrie and stop at a village on the way. Here we will condense that into the Quiet Isle, to introduce them early and give some foreshadowing. They will be hosting refugees, letting us see more of the devastation from the war. The sparrows will make an early appearance visiting the Isle and declaring that they intend to take the complaints of the commoners to the capital. One of them recognizes the Hound, so he and Arya skedaddle.
Meanwhile Gendry is still hanging out with the Brotherhood, with more scenes of war devastation. In the very first episode, Beric and Thoros find an unidentified body by the river, and Beric gives up his life, freaking out Thoros. Said resurrected figure, the mysterious Lady Stoneheart, remains hidden in a cloak most of the season. Walder Frey sends out men, including some sellswords based on the Bloody Mummers, and Locke, to take out the Brotherhood, and sends Edmure as a hostage to try to retake Riverrun. Sandor gets injured when they get caught up in a fight with said Freys (featuring an audience-teasing almost-meet between Arya and Gendry), then Arya leaves the Hound for dead and heads off to Braavos. The final scene will be Locke apprehended by the Brotherhood and sentenced to die…and the final shot of the season reveals the identity of Lady Stoneheart - Catelyn Stark.
This may get talky in some places, but I think with enough good dialog you could get ten episodes’ worth of material. Keeping the Brotherhood can give you extra battle sequences as they fight Frey mooks; Craster’s Keep gives us supernatural action; and of course we get big twists and shockers for our final episodes the way the show likes.

So for some reason I can’t find it anymore but here is the first ever Fic I wrote for hemlock grove
And it’s still not finished OTL I’ll finish it someday
