actually there's a huge difference between queerbaiting/"Hey guys look how gay these two are haha they're definitely gonna end up together, give us views uwu oh- never mind oops they're going to superhell" and "Hey it's 2004-2012 and there's no way we can get away with having our protags/main couple be two gay men but we really want to show these two are soulmates so we'll do it through subtext and underlying messages and by literally telling you over and over again their relationship is the most stable and important in the entire show, and the ending will imply they lived and died together", and it's insane that some of yall don't see how these two are not the same fucking thing.

As for ships, I wouldn't exactlyy say I ship anything in this show tbch, but I'd say I'm especially fond of Sylava, in a strictly fanon kinda way.

#Wander Over Yonder #Lord Dominator #woy is funny bc the core four are all so shippable but nothing rlly does it for me. i think nearly all possible pairs there have some charm #when considering *all five* of the mains not a whole lot changes bc dominator's a lesbian and sylvia is the only other main who isn't a dud #(i'm not a pr.o.shi.pper so bigoted type stuff grosses me out when it comes to shipping. we don't go there eugyhgfghhs)#tbcch i'm of the firm belief that lord dominator shouldnt be shipped with anyone in a srs sense. like as far as staying true to canon goes #she's made it extremely clear that she's not into that kinda stuff *and* that she's wAy too horrible for any kinda relationships anyway #but when it comes to lighthearted silly fanon stuff (or any degree of au stuff where *GASP* D isn't a demon & they Work) sylava makea me :)#(in whatever way ppl wanna imagine them. i'm partial to ''yes homo no romo'' qpr type goodness w/ them but i love seeing Everyone's takes!!#partially bc it's nice to see people actually. care. about what dom is and is not about (sexuality-wise). which is THE BARE MINIMUM but wel #a lot of people Do Not do that! sadly sexism and homophobia exist and it seeps into a lotta things in a lotta small ways and *sobs*#SO YEAH IT'S NICE TO SEE. Resisting the urge to carve myself a distaff from one of the evergreen boughs ive dragged home and learn medieval in-hand distaff spinning. Do i need to do any of this ? No. Am i happy with supported spinning ? Yes ! Am i probably gonna do it anyway ? ... also yes

#we talk a lot about the rabbit hole of fiber arts #but i dont think we talk enough about the rabbit hole of different spinning tools and techniques...#so far id say ive gotten proficient in drop spindling wheel spinning and supported spinning with russian style spindles #really want to get into either tahklis or charkah wheels #bc im gonna be visiting my wonderful fiancé in india and hes still gonna have work for most if not all of the time im there #so my plan is to spin a LOT. hoping to get really proficient in cotton spinning bc ive always really sucked at that #and then i really wanna learn medieval style spinning as well #if i was an academic i could easily see myself devoting my life to writing a book about spinning tools through the ages #i am so endlessly fascinated by it #but also really bad at research and have a pretty crippling case of dyslexia #i wanna try. all the tools #it always feels like the way to get closer to the past is to spin like them #since that has been THE constant human activity since quite possibly pre-homo sapiens times #i dont know how much cloth the neanderthals wove or if they were more inclined to use animal skins #but we do know they made yarn and they were good at it #sadly my hands cant do cordage. fucks em up in about a minute flat #but iirc we've found stone spindle whorls which may have been used for spinning #stone whorls can also be used for hand drills and fire starters and things like that so idk #anyway. i just want to know SO badly #spinning

Going through the experience of loving the trigun anime as a child but realizing you forgot like 60% of what happens in it. Hornfreaker?!? Is not manga only??? He Was in the anime??? And somehow, I forgot about the saxophone assassin??!?

(But on a different note I’m very interested to see if Vash as the Most Tortured Soul Ever is the same in each adaptation vs the manga? I don’t remember that being the case in the 90’s show but apparently I’ve forgotten everything about the Gun Ho Guns arc. I love comic adaptations! And I’m enjoying your comics posting!)

like most of the gung ho guns he doesn't actually do much, so i could definitely see why you might have forgotten about him. the silly glee i feel whenever i see the word HORNFREAK or drawings of him blasting on his saxophone mid-battle tho... it's unmatched.

yeah i have no idea how the adaptations play it! but i want to acknowledge that i tend to feel indifferent to actively annoyed by shonen anime special boy main characters, so i'm probably being overly aware/critical of whenever other characters look at him and explicitly go "wow... how are you still smiling despite it all. damn... what a guy"

sorry i just think it's so corny when you say it out loud like this. also i really wish in general the girls had more going on for them besides special boy commentary. maybe they come back later and do? fingers crossed?
