some friends and i have been talking about glam and hair journeys for our wols, so i wanted to share some key story outfits for io + a few faves at the bottom! [thank you for the template, @myreia!! 💗]

io is pretty casual most of the time. she prefers light armor and loves a bit of drapey fabric. thighboots are almost always a must. i love to dress her in items that have a dagger tucked away in a pocket or belt; she can't be a ranged fighter all the time after all.

jokes aside, I think Lucy would actually love to talk about all her little battle scars with someone without fear of worrying them or making them uncomfortable 🥺 And she'd like to talk to them about theirs in return!! Story time!!!

so this happened at my nani's place last diwali. this one really old uncle who's known my nani for a long time and absolutely hates her always tried to make people see her as annoying and whatnot.

my nani also hates him, and has said she'd kill him if he didn't have adorable kids to look after (mind you my nani has killed her first husband- without getting cuaght- so this was highly possible).

and chachaji (as we call him) always ruins her stuff (like spitting paan outside the house, taking his cows to poop near the well and whatnot) and my nani takes revenge by doing equally petty things lmao, its fun to watch

anyway, that year chachaji went personal by making some digging comments at the way my mom raised me (look i love wearing skirts) and shit so my favourite cousin, shubh, and i decided to burn his car.

to be fair, it was really old, and cost him a lot of money to maintain, we did a good thing to it. anyway, so while the patakhas were going off, my cousin got like four to five bottles of petrol (dont ask how. he's 23 and absolutely iconic) and we three doused it and well... blew his car up. we planted the bottles near this person's house who has threatened to do so a lot.

the claim is met with a measure of scrutiny, but none could doubt the bright violet eyes held by the doe eyed and fierce gaze of the child … targaryen eyes. her features were still young with baby fat, so distinct resemblances too daemon were muted … yet viserys could not deny the girl’s claim to valyrian blood, nor the fact it would be within daemon’s character to sire a bastard …

viserys is encouraged to send the woman away with coins in her pocket, but she rebukes it … the woman claims she is ill and not long for this world, and desires a life for her child … viserys is a good hearted king and takes pity on the little girl, knowing well he cannot send her to pentos, that daemon would send her away … and he cannot let her be alone in this world. against the judgment of his council, viserys chooses to allow daemon’s alleged bastard into his court - though not to the standard of legitimate targaryens, of course.

the histories dispute if the woman died in the red keep or left the child there, but the fact remains the same. rhaenys sand, alleged bastard of the rogue prince, is raised in the red keep - later promoted to a handmaiden to rhaenyra targaryen in later years …

when the dance of dragons begins, it is ultimately up to the verse we write if if she is on the side of the blacks or greens, but one fact remains for certain … her blood is possibly correlated to house martell, which could be a useful tool …

* and yes rhaenys has a dragon … an egg accidentally hatched before her, proving her dragon blood legitimacy - though history still is unsure if she is daemond’s. her dragon is silver and lavender and named daespro.
