[“While many U.S. radicals of color adopted the umbrella term “Third World” as early as the 1960s to signify and enact an “affiliation with an international anticolonial community,” the conference coordinators made a point of elucidating and opening up for discussion their own usage: “The definition of ‘Third World’ proposed for the Conference is those nations of people struggling to break the shackles of colonialism and neocolonialism. Principally, this includes those nations of Asia, Africa, the Pacific, South and Latin America, and Native and Black Americans who suffer under a form of domestic colonialism here in this country. While Third World was originally a phrase coined primarily to describe a state of economic dependency and the lack of technological advances, these same characteristics of underdevelopment tragically describe the condition of Black, Asian, Hispanic, and Native American women worldwide.”
Seen through this anticolonial, internationalist lens, an “alarming consistency” of labor exploitation, reproductive control, and sexual violence pervaded histories of genocidal acts against indigenous peoples, racial slavery and Jim Crow, the making and policing of U.S. national borders, and U.S. imperial wars in Asia, forming a foundation for an interwoven analysis of violence against those facing “the triple oppression of race, class, and sex.” In their overview of the proceedings, Ross, Touré, and Kathy Powell, another African American RCC staff member, contended that rape and abuse in contemporary society must be analyzed in the context of this transnational genealogy of violent subjection.
The summary papers by the conference organizers provide partial insight into the discussions that occurred about the place of the criminal legal system in analyses of, and solutions to, violence against women of color. They report a consensus that antiviolence movements must earnestly contend with the record of police violence against women and men of color and racially disproportionate rates of incarceration. The intertwined forces of racial, gender, and economic oppression conspired to lock up the “most disadvantaged of offenders,” most reliably when their victims were white women and less often when their victims were women of color. Moreover, as recent legal cases had shown, the most marginalized women survivors of violence were also unjustly incarcerated.
Although a few attendees saw the question of what role men might play in the antiviolence movement as “either premature or diversionary,” there was a fairly broad consensus behind a formal resolution that uprooting violence against women of color would require “re-educating,” rather than incarcerating, individual men who perpetrate rape and battering; in addition, greater numbers of progressive men of color (around ten of whom had attended the conference) should be engaged in advocating community-based sanctions against interpersonal violence. The absence of heated controversy about this resolution reflected the fact that the majority of the women in attendance were participating in mixed-gender political organizations alongside organizations focused on sexual and domestic violence. On the other hand, and relatedly, the “Third World Women and Feminism” workshop surfaced a more divergent range of viewpoints. Whereas some participants were concerned that an “analysis of power and its distribution within the feminist ranks” was not yet “dominant within the majority white movement,” others explained that their reluctance to identify with feminism stemmed primarily from their understanding of feminism as a separatist, “anti-male” project that disregarded the “political realities of Third World people.”]

When will the media be honest on Palestine/Israel?
When will the media call out and criticize the racist and genocidal Israeli government just as it calls out racist and genocidal Hamas?
The media will talk rant about how evil Hamas is for killing Israeli civilians (and rightfully so, civilians don't deserve to die. How is a 7 year old Israeli child or a anti-apartheid or liberal Jew a threat to Palestinians?). This goes to show how "antiviolence" the media portrays itself as.
However, on that same note, you can't turn around and say that Israel is defending itself by killing Palestinian civilians in Gaza. That's a warcrime. There are 2 million people in Gaza, half of them are children. You cannot use collective punishment and blanket statements and claim all 2 million (especially children) are Hamas supporters and deserve to be carpet bombed and murdered. That's like me as an American deserving to be killed and have my water, food, and electricity cut off because Bush the Warhawk was president of my country and his policies terrorized the people of Iraq and Afghanistan.
Israel has been illegally occupying Palestine for 75 years. Since 1948. Ethnic cleansing, forcing people out of their homes, genocide, apartheid, bombing and leveling homes and using illegal weapons such as white phosphorus on civilian populations, etc... is what the Israeli government has been doing to Palestinians for all these years. This recent attack carried out by Hamas is reflective of what Israel has been doing to Palestinians for years, which is why it is very cruel and inhumane. Though I don't see enough people condemn Israel for what it's doing to Palestinians just as much as people are condemning Hamas for what it recently did the Israeli civilians. And the goal is to condemn both, not to downplay what Hamas did just as how we downplay what Israel does.
Given how things are going, the amount of fighting between Hamas and Israel, and the dishonesty of the media, I see absolutely no shortterm hope of peace. It's not going to happen, unfortunately. The violence and hatred at this point is beyond repair. Though ending the illegal occupation firsthand would be a great yet easier said than done response.
At the end of the day, it's the civilians that have to suffer. Hamas and the Israeli government who are responsible for violence and bloodshed won't face any damning consequences, just the civilians. The women, children, average person like you and I. They have to suffer through violence, war, terrorism, irreversible injuries, a loss of a family member, a loss of their homes, witnessing bombings and airstrikes, having to hide in bomb shelters worried for their lives. It's always the civilians who suffer, cry, and die.
For reference, I'm an American woman with a Jordanian dad and a Palestinian grandmother from Ramallah. But as an American I've met people of different backgrounds and races (Jews and Israelis included). This all was able to give my sister and I open and nuanced takes on the war and Middle Eastern society as a whole. We're pretty progressive too and I hate religious fundamentalism and strict conservative values (which is one of my main issues with Hamas).

And while the Twins speak and "enjoy the victory",Vinca's fan are being mean ad bully Onyx

Onyx is silently drinking,while Vinca is mute and don't stop them.

Dorran:There you are, we have to go over the costume designs tonight.
(This is the right thing to do and so I put myself between the nasty Vinca fan's and I let them know who really I am)
Vinca is nonplussed,Onyx mute and Vinca fan's drilling all over him....
And he stated that Onyx is the only competent and passionate about her job. The others? Money and Fame.
And Vinca stated Onyx doesn't need them. She is the family pride and joy of her family, without her she can't do nothing, she needs me.
ME:Or you need her and won't to admit it yourself?
Dorran:(family are pride and joy,worth everything for) As you are Pride's family and joy.....you are empty!

The year is 22XX. Aliens have landed and war has been declared. On their side is Dr. Fuschia Lorrè (an assumed name, obviously), defected from her kind to use their advanced technology to help develop incredible weapons for the Earth military forces. Arguably this is because she didn't agree with the other aliens' assault on the planet, but she's got mad scientist tendencies and the humans gave her way more freedom in what she was allowed to make.
Eventually, however, the war ended, and in a move surprising everybody, a true lasting peace came between the two worlds and even largely on the worlds themselves! Even Dr. Lorrè's defection and subsequent war criminal status was forgiven. wow incredible
also nobody needs her cool weapons any more.
She tried opening up a commercial defense shop (named it Stopper) to sell her wares to the masses. Less destructive, due to like, laws and stuff. But nobody was biting.
Failing store, however, makes you a prime candidate to be picked up by Venture. Venture is like, a little bit weirdly antiviolence. Not that it's weird to be antiviolence but there are several stores in the mall that specialize in swords or spears, but guns are a no-go? Dr. Lorrè wasn't completely happy, but... she could make it work. She likes a challenge. There's wilder technology than even she was familiar with before, and maybe she could work in some of this literal magic that's available. Yeah. Yeah this could work.
So, hey. She might not be allowed to permanently harm or kill anybody with her weapons, but there's a lot of interesting ways you can stop people regardless. Come to stopper for unique methods of security... or, if you come at a bad time, possibly experience it firsthand.
