50, 51
50: (This one. :D I love it so much.)
“Honda-san?”
Amy looked up to behold the last person she thought she’d see here. Standing just behind the man was a black hedgehog with red streaks and red eyes, wearing the boys’ school uniform. It was Shadow Sohma, the prince of Amy’s highschool.
“S-Sohma-san!” Amy scrambled.
Shadow tilted his head and peered at her curiously. “What are you doing here?”
“I’m on my way to school,” Amy explained with a smile. “I live close by. What about you?”
“I live here,” Shadow replied. “This is my cousin, Ivo Sohma. Ivo, this is Amy Honda.”
“Pleased to meet you!” Ivo said with a bow. “Why don’t you come inside? You can have some tea before-”
Ivo was cut off as Shadow swung his school bag and let it collide with Ivo’s back. Shadow rolled his eyes. “Control yourself.”
“Ow!” What do you have in there, a dictionary?”
“Two.” Shadow turned to Amy with a tiny, apologetic smile. “You’ll have to excuse him. He doesn’t often get company.”
51: (written as a movie script right now)
Miles: Their coding is abysmal. I’ll be through in thirty seconds.
Alicia: Great. Now where in the world is-
She’s cut off as a crash sounds out. Something blue breaks through the ceiling and lands in front of Alicia and Miles. Out of the dust rises a blue hedgehog in a black leather jacket. He poses with flourish and adjusts the sunglasses on his face.
Alicia (annoyed): Sonic.
Sonic brings the sunglasses up onto his forehead. He smirks confidently.
Sonic: Hey, Ally. Milo.
Alicia: You’re late.
Sonic: Hey, you know I work at my own pace! If I decide I want to take a pitstop to steal a chilidog before I show up, I’m gonna do that.

How would anti Tails react to nine?
You know, in general I'd say it heavily depends upon the situation. However, no matter what, I think they'd both meet each other and immediately not trust each other. They could end up working together, but it would take a lot to get them to trust each other.
Honestly I think if Anti-Tails got to know Nine a little, though...he'd think Nine is wasting his potential in some ways, and he'd be jealous of Nine in others. Maybe Anti-Tails had people around and didn't grow up alone, but just as Nine was bullied and tortured and had to learn to defend himself, Miles's only "support group" were people who took advantage of him or used him or didn't seem to really care about him. But while Nine built inventions and protected himself only to isolate himself, Miles uses words to his advantage. He doesn't act out too much (especially wary of Scourge), but it’s kind of clear that once Scourge left Moebius Miles manipulated his way to the top, the secret mastermind masquerading as the lackey or number two. Even Anti-Sally admits that she's the figurehead, leader only in name. Miles is the one with real power and influence.
Perhaps to Miles, Nine had all the power in his hands (both when he had 2 shards and when he had the nearly complete paradox prism). Wouldn't that have been the perfect time to exert his control over the city he'd been born in (if not the entire shatterverse)? Would it not have been his chance to make sure no one could hurt him again, or to mold that world into his vision? Using absolute power to isolate oneself in an empty world is coward's talk, right? To Miles, why spend all your time trying to get away when you can make sure you're on top this time, ensure you can never be victimized again (not from strangers, your own "friends", anyone)? I can see Miles thinking that Nine limits himself, that he has so much potential he refuses to take, and I can see him jealous that Nine had such ability, meanwhile he was stuck trying to manipulate his way up, play the feelings balancing game, and essentially placate people (and scourge) while trying to rise to the top while trying to limit the amount of hurt he experiences.
But in a way...I can also see him jealous and annoyed regarding Sonic. Just like with Archie Tails, I think Miles would catch onto Nine's attachment to Sonic pretty fast. And I think he would think "Why are they all attached to Sonic?" (given his experiences with Scourge), chastize or tease Nine for being weak or limiting himself because he fixates on Sonic, and I think he would be jealous deep down (even if that idea of a Sonic who is a completely selfless hero is a lie) that Nine could know a version Sonic who cherishes him (or, at least, Nine believes he does).
But yeah basically my answer in the end is that Miles would see Nine as someone wasting his potential, someone who could or could have become him, and be jealous of certain things that Nine has or had
Although, as a final note, if Miles' only reference for other versions of himself is Prime!Tails from the archie comics, I can see his immediate reaction to Nine being "I wonder if he's like me?"

WARNING THIS IS A LITTLE DARK
Random headcanon that i always had. Posting it now cause I am sorta making a comic about it:
It's known that Scourge took over Moebius after his father brought it to stagnation and everything started falling apart.
Not many know however that before starting his coup the Anti team decided on one thing: the right of passage. The one who cannot do it, will be exiled, they will have no place in the new world. What was the task?
Kill your own parent. At least one.
Scourge was the first one to get his hands dirty with his father's blood.
Miles followed his lead second. He worked on his plan for ages, building a rocket, which later sent both his parents into a black hole.
Alicia shot a cannon at the blimp that was carrying her mother and brother.
Patch stabbed his cowardly father in a duel.
Boomer was an orphan from far away, so he was simply support.
Their parents were mostly awful people. Did they deserve it? Perhaps not, but for a while that history was the bond between the members of the Squad and that is partially a reason why they are together still even without Scourge.

I’ve generally lost my ability to actually draw Sonic character proportions since I learned how to draw more humanoid proportions but I actually don’t dislike how this one came out.
So hey, Miles in a Super form.
The basics of this design are like a decade old at this point, me and a friend settled on the grey fur and purple eyes way back in the day. At the time we were writing him rather differently, depicting him as a very morose and bleak character in comparison to Tails’ optimism (though the story where we first used the design involved Tails having a Pretty Bad Day and he spent half of it in a Dark Super Form). That was where we got the idea to use grey as his primary colour, a very muted tone in comparison to the vibrant golds, pinks, and purples that other transformations have used. Even the actual process of transforming was described as being very low-key, with the colour just draining from his body and his aura just fading into view.
I don’t characterise Miles that way anymore, I now depict him as very bombastic and quite a showoff, but the grey fur remains. Because frankly it looks good, IMO.
Originally, the form didn’t change his attire at all, but I later decided to have his coat and boots turn white, to feed into the whole idea of him being a “Light is Not Good” character. The cape, however, isn’t a product of the transformation. He actually wears that all the time, primarily as a deception. It means that people can’t tell whether he’s in his base form or his Turbo form (here envisioned as a stepping-stone between base form and this one).
The purple eyes and aura are pure creative license on my part. I recognise that, officially, “Anarchy Beryl” is just Scourge using a thesaurus to rename what are otherwise completely mundane Chaos Emeralds, and that the energy of them is probably negligibly different from Chaos, but I’ve always preferred to think of Anarchy as being distinctly different. The antimatter to Chaos’ matter.
And so, I will always depict Anarchy Beryl as purple, and their energy the same colour. Hence, the eyes and aura.
As for the blade around his arm, well, I noticed that a lot of Chaos-capable characters have their own unique skills. Shadow most famously has Chaos Spear, but Sonic and Knuckles have their own versions too: Sonic Wind and Thunder Arrow.
My initial thought was to simply give Miles a dark inversion of Tails’ one... but Tails was never given one. So I just went and made one up myself. And, being me, I made it a sword. He can create them around his arm, in his palm, or even just from the vague vicinity of his body. They can be hurled as is normal, but also wielded like, well, a sword, and he has precise control over their flight paths. Also they can explode.
The attack hasn’t got a finalised name yet, as I generally view him as being adept enough in his power use that he doesn’t need to call out his attacks, but I’m currently referring to it as Sword of Ruin.
The primary gap between Tails’ and Miles’ characterisations these days is their focus. Tails focuses his genius in the fields of science and technology, and often seems to almost neglect his powers. I view him as someone who never wanted the Chosen One status and the Great Harmony and everything that came with it. If he wants recognition (and really, he doesn’t), he wants it to be for his academic achievements, not for his being a rare genetic anomaly with superpowers. Really, he just hopes that the war with Eggman won’t be forever, and in a peaceful world, he’ll be able to help more people with science than he could with his powers.
Miles is the opposite. While he’s perfectly capable of working with machines, he has little active interest in doing so. Instead, he focuses his study and considerable brainpower on his powers and the arcane arts. He relishes power and craves respect and recognition, and styling himself as a living demigod, looming over battlefields and raining down radiant swords on people, is a clear path to that.
Miles knows of the Great Harmony, and desires to perform it himself. But whereas his counterpart ‘foolishly’ cast all the Chaos Emeralds of the Prime Zone into the Zone of Silence, Miles doesn’t intend to squander such power. Instead he wishes to keep the power, and wield it himself.
Oh, also, he’s taller. Like a lot taller. Why? Well, partially because that’s how I draw things. But also because he actually did grow up, very quickly.
In the aftermath of ‘King’ Scourge’s defeat, and subsequent incarceration in the No-Zone, Miles finally had the freedom to start putting his plans into motion. Content to let Alicia have her throne, as long as she recognised where power really rested, he left the resurgent Acorn Kingdom and began to travel across Moebius, meeting with his world’s counterparts to the most powerful mages in the universe. Anti-versions of Mammoth Mogul, the Order of Ixis, Regina Ferrum, Dr. Finitevus, Athair, and his own uncle, Myrrdin Prower, were all convinced, one way or another, to tutor Miles in their arts.
Unwilling to leave his anarchic world to its own devices for long, and fully expecting Scourge to return in time, Miles made heavy use of a Time Stone to accelerate time for himself, enabling him to study and learn the finer points of each arcane system at a much quicker pace. While the outside world passed time in months, Miles spent years within his time dilation field. From his perspective, he’s actually just grown up at the natural rate.
Whenever he ran out of things to learn, he would kill his mentor and move on.
Of course, eventually, Scourge did return, sprung from the No-Zone thanks to Fiona’s trained devotion and the warden’s blithering incompetence. He would arrive on Moebius, loudly confident that he could easily handle anything his former comrades could throw at him, but found that he was in for far more than he bargained for.
After all, this time it was Miles that held the Beryl-stocked throne.

zolu aroace positivity post!!! because if you're aroace and you celebrate the gift that is zolu, I want to share why they mean so much to me as an aroace.
what makes zolu so special to me is because first and foremost, zoro and luffy went out to the vast open seas of the world to chase after their dreams. luffy wants to be the pirate king, zoro wants to be the best swordsman. even after being recruited, even after all they went through, they never stopped having their dreams as the forefront of their characters. but it just so happens that both their dreams are intertwined with each other, the best swordsman in the world's most fitting place is by being right next to the pirate king, and the pirate king believes that he would reach his goal by having the best by his side.
the reason why I believe zoro and luffy's relationship is so strong is because by fighting for their own dreams, they also strengthen their bond with the other. zoro wants to be strong to be the best swordsman, but it's also to protect the crew and to best support luffy as he guns for the title of pirate king. luffy wants to be strong to be pirate king, but it's also to protect the crew, but also? by being strong, he proves time and time again that his crew did not make the wrong decision to follow him, that he is a Captain that deserves to obtain the one piece (i think of luffy aiming to be strong so that his crew will never have to falter about his leadership, especially after water 7).
as an aroace, this feels like the best way to showcase love and devotion and trust with each other. knowing that someone's dream becomes a part of your own, that every time you fight for yourself and you aim to be a better version of yourself, you're not only working for your own sake but for the better of you and your partner. that i come to love my partner because they understand me, and they know why i fight so hard to reach my goal. and not only that, they fight as equally hard for their own goal. together, both of our dreams ultimately help each other become the best version of ourselves.
knowing that zoro believes in luffy wholeheartedly that he fought for his dream too, enough to put his life on the line for luffy. knowing that luffy can leave his most precious family and crew to zoro because he trusts zoro wholeheartedly to win.
to me, this is how I envision love. it's about getting to know each other, understanding each other, loving each other to the point that their dreams become yours, and fighting together side by side to make that dream come true.
zoro and luffy have that in spades. imo, zoro and luffy's appeal as a relationship is that they are intertwined with each other, and they go through hell and back and fight for each other and their dreams together. it's no wonder that aroace people like me are drawn to them, their love and bond transcends just having an attraction to each other. because it's also about having this person change and inspire me to be better.

When I first read this when I was twelve I thought that this line was an edgy way of saying I love you .
I was not a smart kid.
Having grown up a bit and rewatched and reread FT a few times it has come to my understanding that Gray Fullbuster is suicidal .
I genuinely do not know how I missed that since he literally tried to use iced shell every season finale but no matter .
The fact that Gray is suicidal and he just said she is my power/will to live hits so fucking hard .
Because it basically means Juvia makes him want to live and if she wasn't there- well I don't even want to think about that 😭😭😭.
Ma boi has spent the whole series feeling he wasn't worthy of living and has been carrying guilt for a fucking decade .
And then this blue haired girlie pops up and relentlessly attacks this man with love and affection and hugs and food, trying to drill into his thick skull that he deserves everything in the world .
And he's finally accepted it .
Accepted that he deserves to be alive .
With his guild.
With his friends .
With Juvia .
He has finally stopped blaming himself for Ur's and Ultear's death and is finally making sure to live his life to the fullest for them .
He has finally accepted he deserves to be happy.
And I love that for him.
And I love him .

It always comes back to Titan Tails...
---
Miles and Tails in two of the Tails specific super forms, just because. Maybe Tails being Turbo is the only reason he isn't part of the multiversal self mish-mash that is the Titan superform that Miles is currently in.

loook i get why the idea of riding the "anti/pro" fandom disk horse makes people gag a little in their mouth and try to opt out entirely, but here's why i went from feeling exactly the same way to taking a firm profiction stance. I've been meaning to make this post for a while.
~10 years ago, I posted a fic for the first time and it got its own harassment campaign. The fic wasn't even sexual, and wasn't going to be (it remains incomplete). It was accurately rated T on fanfiction.net. Anyone in the Fairy Tail fandom will understand this: I literally got harassed for writing a "Lucy leaves the guild" fic💀.
After many nice comments, someone left a pretty nasty one. Hurt, I messaged them back. They acted super attacked that I'd responded (lmao) and after we argued, threatened to "rip my shitty story apart in the comments section" if I responded again. I told them "go ahead lol."
They went ahead.
Now know that it was a relatively small harassment campaign, but at the time, it was devastating. Right around then, I wound up in the hospital. After I got out, I went to excitedly check my fic, and found several reviews saying things I wouldn't repeat to my worst enemy. I was suicide-baited more than once, told "thank fuck you finally abandoned this shitty story, dumb cunt," stuff like that.
There were several accounts involved, and I can't say for sure, but I suspect at least a couple different people were involved, though probably at least half of it was one person.
All the other comments were screeching about how I hadn't updated, mostly. "NO UPDAAATEE WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS TO MEEEE??!!!" was one that stood out after I'd been miserable in a hospital for an extended period of time.
Idk what people think is going on when FT fic authors write this trope, and frankly I don't give a fuck. Because while I was partly writing the story out of some young, cringe feminist rage, I also did genuinely have a real story I was compelled to tell. I was inspired by another, popular fic I loved which used the trope to talk about how trying to shoulder our burdens alone really just hurts both ourselves and everyone who cares about us.
My own story was ultimately going to have similar themes, with more focus on strength, what it means, and in what contexts earning and having it actually matters. In retrospect, no wonder I wound up in hot water, because at the time "Lucy vs. Strength vs. Misogyny" was the FT fandom's Designated Nonsensically Activist Debate™. But that's partly why i wanted to write about it; engaging with the fandom had gotten me thinking about it 🤷‍♂️
Not too long after that, FFNet oh-so-benevolently granted us the ability to delete comments from our own stories (they never took my reports seriously at all, afaik). I deleted all or most of the harassers' comments (may still be a one or two up, and i'm fairly sure there's a couple comments defending my fic from the harassment) without saving screenshots, which I really regret now. I was just so mortified and full of self-loathing about the whole thing that i wanted to forget it completely. Something that had brought me joy at a very lonely, vulnerable period of my life had turned so negative, and i couldn't even tell the people closest to me about it without being made fun of for writing anime fan fiction.
I didn't understand why this happened at the time, but--after a period of trying to forget/bid out of it all with a slight anti lean (a common approach I see people use, and one which I'm not proud of adopting)--I just had to figure out What the Fuck Even Happened There. And I'm telling you, after years of reflecting, wrestling with both sides, and educating myself, that this "status quo of harassment" culture which pervades fandom goes way deeper than you think and comes out of a way darker well than you probably realize. An astonishing amount of this is, quite literally, TERF shit and evangelical shit.
Trying to be in fandom and take a stance of, "Anti/Pro shit? Ew, I'm Not Touching that," is like swimming in a heavily polluted river and being like, "Poison? Cringe. Not me lol."
You might be lucky enough to be in a less-polluted part of the river (AKA a relatively non-toxic fandom, in which case good for you!)...but tbh this rhetoric and peer-signalling will still seep in.
I can't stress enough that pro-fiction, AKA "proship", is the normal, leftist-about-art-and-sex opinion. Pro-ship is against all the horrible things you're against; in fact, pro-ship isn't trivializing real trauma by equating it with fictional trauma, or trying to apply literal evangelical/radfem solutions--which are proven not to prevent or help. Profiction/proship is literally just saying, "Fiction is fiction, reality is reality, and the two don't have a 1:1 relationship. And historically, trying to censor just things we've decided are bad has done nothing but get LGBTQ+ and POCs censored. Therefore, depictions of illegal things shouldn't be censored." That's it. "Proshippers all ship problematic ships," is a brazen lie. Many of them share other fans' disgust for those ships, they just don't believe in censoring fic authors over it.
It is also taking a stand against harassment because--and I hope my own story has helped drive this home--as with all groups who adopt ingroup/outgroup thinking, antis are defined by their tactics, not actual stances on real, serious issues. What happened to me was absolutely a result of anti, "it's okay to 'bully out' anything I just don't like" mindset pervading fandom. In a way, this was the mindset's final form. They didn't even feel the need to cite a reason the trope was "bad" or "wrong"; it annoyed them, and they viewed their own feelings as a valid enough pathway for policing to go right ahead and do so.
In the interest of offering solutions instead of just bitching about problems, I might make a "how to know if you've bought into these types of views"-type post sometime. Also might come back to this and provide some sources/citation.
