There's this one fandom I'm in, where there's recently been a resurgence of "If you draw these characters aged up, you're a pedo" This series has been going on for like 15+ years, the entire story has been playing through maybe 1-2 years and is still ongoing. I'm not gonna say that these Anti's are dumb as rocks, but I'll say that I went from being younger than all these "kid" characters, to being a grown ass adult. Ppl wanna see their fave childhood characters grown up, deal with it Danny.

I wonder how these people react when the source media itself ages up the characters for the sake of relationships. Like Digimon or Inuyasha.

...Wait, no. I almost forgot about the entitled Western fans calling themselves sending angry letters to the studio in charge of Yasahime over the 'Sesshoumaru and Rin' thing

Send help, I'm in the Inuyasha fandom and the Yasahime side are full of anti's who never actually watched the original Inuyasha and clearly weren't here before the show came out. It's like they forget it's the world of Inuyasha where demons and half demons can live for centuries and most demons aren't nice people. There's an anti who was complaining because tumblr banned their account five times for harassment and I had to report it for ban evasion. I hate that this fandom attracted anti's..

Nothing could beat season 1 episode 15. I was there and fortunately a lot of people were disgusted about that episode. I still remember it was one of the rare times yashmine was trended (inukag were in the episode) but all of the top posts were about how disgusting it was to make a child a mom. Or how yashamine was a mistake. That was also when yashamine saw a drop of viewership. People dropped the show after that. The moroha episode was afterwards and shippers were blaming her character not being interesting on the reason why the views dropped.

Pfft... they blamed views dropping on Moroha? Did they forget that Moroha was around since twins were around? The only thing changed was the dreaded EP 15.

They gave an 18 year timeline which made Rin 14/15 during the birth of the twins. In episode 1, they showed a Child Rin "adoring Lord Sesshomaru" and then directly showed a teen looking Rin with babies still behaving like a submissive little girl. That's freaking grooming. Even though not on screen, it is implied. Sesshomaru took advantage of the little girl he raised.

He just straight up kidnaps the infants and leave them all alone in the forest, while his alleged wife is left crying trusting his decisions.

Not only the ever disgusting mom reveal, we also came to know that InuKags were sealed by Sesshomaru in the pearl for 14 freaking long years "to keep them safe", without even asking their opinion. Who, in their right minds, would see that happen to their favorite characters and enjoy it? Of course the ratings would drop! EP 16 just rubbed salt to the wounds because they glossed over Moroha being sold off to Jyubei.

And what has Moroha's character got to do with the viewership if, as they say, the story is about Sesshomaru's family🙄.

Only s*ssrin shippers can find Moroha uninteresting. Their brains work differently and we know that.

Did Yashahime creators forget that Sesshomaru can show emotions? Sesshomaru used to be angry and he huged Rin when he thought she died but in Yashahime he didnt even said anything to her when she give birth and he didn't even protect his daughters properly... Yashahime is just so bad.

Inuyasha anon here - Unfortunately I can confirm, they're trying to push the "They're faaaamily" shit. Yet, they're only vocal about the ships in Yasahime. They even deliberately lied and mistranslated an interview with the original mangaka to try to talk shit about ships, as if the entirety of Inuyasha isn't something anti's would normally clutch their pearls and run away from. It's proof over and over being an anti is just another stupid ship war tactic and it's exhausting. I miss the old days
