Buck & Eddie: Eddie KNOWS Buck!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The title of episode 7x5 is "You don't know me" (it could change) and when I read it, all I could think about is something I haven't been able to forget since 6x4 aired. It was Buck’s conversation with Connor and IMO, it was weird and superficial for REASONS I might explain in a future post.
Anyway, Buck's overall arc in Season 6 was about him trying to be at ease while not making the same mistakes (which started at the end of 5x18). In 6x1, he wanted to be interim captain, then he went on to search for happiness in 6x2 followed by his decision to be Connor's sperm donor in 6x4 and that led to the comment included in the scene below, "I know those things about you". But the question is, does Connor really know Buck? 🤔
Reminder, based on the things that were shown in CANON in 4x5, Buck and Connor never really knew each other. They were acquaintances who met while they were in Peru and that was after Buck left Hershey when Maddie told him to "Go and be happy". During their conversation while Buck was bartending, Connor "suggested" Buck move to L.A. with him and the guys he knew because they were "kind of like a family". It's important to note that Connor said it after he stopped listening to Buck while he was trying to explain something to him.
Who always listens to Buck? EDDIE!
Now on to Season 7.
In the recent TCA interview, with regards to Buck’s self-discovery journey, OS commented that Buck’s sperm donation for his friends "hasn't necessarily played in any kind of conscious way so far" within the first 5 episodes (see below).
Tumblr media
So the question is, could Buck tell Connor, "You don't know me!" in a conversation about the baby in 7x5 and it have something to do with Buck’s self-discovery journey? It's possible since as mentioned above, Connor doesn't really know Buck. Let's be real... when Connor reappeared they hadn't seen each other in three years and the attributes Connor mentioned about why he asked him to be his sperm donor instead of him going to a sperm bank aren't necessarily HEREDITARY.
Reminder, Buck likes to make things about himself and he likes to fix things. Therefore, the way things played out in 6A made it seem like he was making things about himself with the sperm donation too.
Here are a few of the comments that have been said to Buck and about him by his family.
In 3x1 and 3x2 (they replayed some of the scene from the end of 3x1 at the beginning of 3x2), Chris said, "You're going to be ok kid" after Buck told him he hopes he finds a job he likes and somethimg that makes him feel like he matters when he grows up. This happened after Buck quit the 118 but before the Tsunami.
In 3x6, Hen told Bobby, "I think Buck makes everything hard on Buck. The boy has two settings... zero and shut up before I smack you". They were discussing Bobby letting Buck work again after the lawsuit.
In 3x9, Eddie said, "So we're making this about you again?" while they were in the kitchen after Buck apologized for the second time following the lawsuit.
In 3x16 Chimney said, "So it's all about you?" when Buck was telling the team about Red.
In 3x16, Maddie said, "So you don't think this business with Red is hitting a little too close to home? A lonely hero firefighter who's pining for his lost love."
In 4x5, Athena said, "You never give up, that's what being Buck means to me" after he stayed in the warehouse fire against orders.
In 5x4, Eddie said, "You're the guy who likes to fix things" after Maddie and Chimney left.
In 6x11, dead Bobby said, "Aww kid, if what matters to you most is the way people see you... then you haven't learned a damn thing" in Buck’s coma dream.
They all know how Buck likes to make things about himself and at various points, they've said it in some form or another. Family won't hesitate to tell the people they love the truth unlike those who want to get what they can then leave like Connor did. And that's one of the reasons why I think Buck didn't talk to anyone about the sperm donation because if he had, they would have told him the truth. He did talk to Hen and even though she didn't discourage him, she did caution him about the possible ramifications of it except he was adamant about doing it and he wouldn't listen to the universe when it kept screaming at him.
Does Connor know Buck? NO!
The person who does know Buck is EDDIE!
Eddie not only knows him, HE SEES HIM! He also listens to him, he takes care of him and he's the one who's been there for him. In 6x1, he helped Buck see another side to Bobby's decision about interim captain. In 6x6, Eddie was the one who reassured him that Karen would be fine without a spleen. The list goes on and on but 9-1-1 made it a point in Season 6 to show the GA that NO ONE knows Buck like Eddie does and that continued even in 6x15 when Buck said that BS about ND seeing him.
Tumblr media
No one believed it and it's possible Buck didn't believe it either.
The point of this post is that Buck’s breakdown may finally happen in Season 7 and it might have something to do with the sperm donation 👀.
Tumblr media
Reminder, he didn't have one in season 6 even though he died and I think all of these things are related and could lead to it.
If Buck does have a breakdown, who's going to be by his side? EDDIE!
The same way Buck was by Eddie’s side after Eddie’s breakdown.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I said I wasn't going to speculate and I hadn't planned on it but I have so many thoughts about what could trigger Buck’s breakdown and I've been debating whether I'll post them. But I just might now that everything seems to be pointing in that direction.
Will Buck finally breakdown in season 7? Only the showrunner, writers and producers know the answer to that question.

I was scrolling through the tag and I saw a couple of posts talking about how Kameron and Connor keep inserting Buck into their issues and disrespecting his space and boundaries, and it had me thinking:
I highly doubt this is gonna happen because this show apparently hates us, but I would find it absolutely hilarious if after Kameron gives brith and she and Connor get back together, Buck just straights up tell them to never show their faces around him again.
Like maybe they stop by to see Buck after they get out of the hospital with the baby and Buck is just smiling and being his cinnamon roll self and then when Connor and Kameron are about to take their leave, Buck just goes “Well, congratulations! Thanks for stopping by and please DON’T EVER CALL ME OR VISIT ME EVER AGAIN. LIKE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE DON’T.”
And then he just smiles at them and says bye while he closes the door on their shocked faces. XD

The heteronormative anti-Buddies are already flooding the TVLine recap comments. See, THIS is exactly why I can't stand the incessant, "YoU DoN't UnDeRStAnd! Buck and Eddie NEED to date women to be together!" As long as the show keeps pushing these bland, unnecessary "romances" with women, they will never raise awareness/get support from the GA about Buddie. Which is probably Kristen's intention. I'm sure that whenever there are good Buddie moments, it's writers/directors going rogue before Kristen reins them in 🙃🙃🙃
IDK, by the time I got to the recap there were a couple supportive comments but mostly people weren't on board. I personally just Do Not Vibe with the idea that people have to be in other relationships to "fix" their issue and be ready for the person they actually want to be with. Like, it's one thing for a good faith trying it out and it doesn't work but hey, a lesson got learned! But IDK, it just makes me personally uncomfortable a bit to see people insisting Buck needs to get with this woman to be "ready" for Eddie. Women are not rehabilitation homes for men's issues. This isn't happening because Buck is "learning something" it's happening because the showrunner wants *drama* and she doesn't know what else to do with Buck except throw women at him who are trying to get in his pants or are using him or both 🤷🏻‍♀️ even the Buckley parents and Connor/Kameron were just using Buck for parts. It's getting old and I'm tired of it. Buck deserves better than KR making him a cheater and looking like a bad friend by saying someone he's talked to twice really sees him to the person closest to him desperately begging to love Buck anyway.
As for the writers going rogue, I don't agree, I think it's simply a matter of the showrunner thinking they're just friends and not seeing anything deeper there. Now the performances we get might tell a different story if you have your shipper goggles on but it's nothing the show can't handwave away as people just seeing things 🤷🏻‍♀️

Buck & Eddie: 5 unresolved items from season 6
Tumblr media
There were several things in season 6 that were left unresolved including some that happened between Buck and Eddie.  These are items they never discussed and IMO, it’s possible they might resurface in season 7 and present the small amount of angst that’s been mentioned by OS and RG during their recent interviews.
Full Disclosure:  When season 6 ended, I like many other viewers, absolutely LOATHED the way Buck’s and Eddie’s endings were handled since they were both shoehorned into relationships with one-dimensional love interests the same way they had been at the end of season 4.  The constant delays of Buddie going CANON was just 🙄 and at the time, I took a step back because it felt like all the metaphors, callbacks, foreshadowing and hindsight that happened during the first 13 episodes were replaced with a forced narrative.  Characters were retconned too so they could fit into some “metaphorical FOX procedural drama box” and it frustrated me.  After 6x18 aired, I took a couple of weeks to formulate my overall thoughts on the season and I completed 15 Constructive Criticisms posts to move past my frustrations. Additionally, I started writing a massive multi-chapter fanfic to unravel the mess that was season 6 and I must admit, doing so helped because I was able to put some of the messy pieces to that unfinished puzzle of a season together.
Now... back to the regularly scheduled programming…
This post highlights the 5 things IMO that are still in play that didn’t get resolved last season and I’ve included details about them below.  Since season 7 is shortened and only has 10 episodes, it’s possible none of the things listed will be revisited but it’s also possible they will.
Before I get started, here’s a quick reminder, Buck and Eddie didn’t discuss any of the things listed in CANON.
1. The Donation
Tumblr media
Other than 6x7 when Eddie heard about Buck’s sperm donation for the first time at the firehouse, in 6x9 when they were on the four-way call when he responded to Chimney and said, “I don’t know… it kind of feels weird to congratulate him” and in 6x10 when he replied to Buck and said, “Sounds like your family had your back on the whole donation thing. That’s definitely progress” (notice he NEVER said he had Buck’s back on it and also his facial expressions in 6x9 after Buck’s announcement showed he wasn’t too thrilled about it) Buck and Eddie never discussed it.  Therefore, it is possible there could be some angst coming from it when the Buckley family’s other “deep dark family secret” (related post linked here) is revealed during or after Madney’s wedding.
Furthermore, Maddie’s NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT BUCK’S SPERM DONATION in CANON and every time it was mentioned in 6x10, it happened right after she left the room to check on Jee-Yun.  It’s obvious she knows about it since Chimney spoke up and said something to rebut Sang’s comment regarding a man raising another man’s child.  Another point to make about the whole “Meet the Parents” saga in 6x10 is the audience never saw Maddie converse with Sang and based on BTS information for season 7, it appears Sang, Albert nor Albert’s mom will be in attendance at the wedding. 👀
[FTR, I still don’t believe Connor and Kameron’s baby is biologically Buck's and I will stand on this hill, even if I have to stand alone, until there’s a blood test proving he is related to the baby (post linked here).]
2. The Onesie
Tumblr media
At the end of 6x9, Buck was asleep and he left the LAFD onesie he purchased sitting on top of his nightstand and it was right after the “Santa Ana Winds” ended.  However, there are two important things that should be remembered.
First, it has an LAFD logo on it which means it’s important to Buck because as he told Maddie in 2x18, "Being a firefighter is MY LIFE!  It’s the only thing I’ve ever done that was important and that mattered, ok?"
Why is this important?
It’s important because BUCK IDENTIFIES HIMSELF AS A FIREFIGHTER and after all these years he still hasn’t figured out firefighting is what he does. Eddie knows Buck’s more than a firefighter especially since he knows and loves him to his CORE!  Also, if Buck believed the biological relation wasn't important, then he could have just bought a regular onesie from Target or Wal-Mart, right?  Yes!
Second, in 6x17, Kameron stayed with Buck for several days which means if he wanted to, he could have given it to her as a gift but he didn’t.  Therefore, it’s possible it might come back into play after 7x5 when Connor and Kameron are supposed to show up again (OS mentioned Buck being a sperm donor for his friends won’t resurface until after the first five episodes).  Additionally, after 6A, the narrative could have changed since the onesie wasn’t seen again and that could be due to all the audience backlash that happened after it was over.
Viewers didn’t like the jokes about Buck’s "swimmers" or the lack of his "alone time" and all the other ways the storyline was fumbled. By the start of 6B, the show tried to make the audience believe Buck understood he was the "donor not the dad" 👀.
If the actual onesie doesn’t make a reappearance, then I believe the ramifications associated with the way Buck identifies himself will and it could be a point of contention between him and Eddie since Eddie was the one who told him in 4x14, “You act like you’re expendable... but you’re wrong”.
3. Buck’s Death
Tumblr media
At the end of 6x18, it appeared as if Buck still hadn’t dealt with the fact that he DIED and it’s possible nobody else has either, especially Eddie, Maddie, Bobby and their found family. Reminder, Maddie and Bobby both said, “Buck, you died!” and when they said it, Buck became frustrated.
However, when Eddie said, “You died Buck!”, he stopped and listened but the way Eddie said it was different for A LOT OF REASONS (post linked here).  After Eddie asked if he was allowed to ask how he was, Buck replied, “Honestly Eddie… I don’t know” but they have yet to have a full CANON conversation about the effects of it the same way they haven’t discussed any of their other shared traumas.
Additionally, during that conversation, they briefly discussed the shooting but they didn't fully talk about it other than Buck asking Eddie what he remembered. It’s another important and shared traumatic event that’s happened between them but like the well, the hostage situation and Eddie's breakdown, they still have yet to discuss it. Buck seemed to be a little upset by the fact that Eddie “said” he didn’t remember anything other than the searing pain he felt in his shoulder (I believe he remembers more than he said he does).
Buck's response was, “Is that it?” as if to say, “You don’t remember me crawling underneath a firetruck, pulling you out, picking you up and putting you inside of the truck? You don't remember me holding a gauze to your wound and asking you to stay with me? You don't remember asking me if I was hurt? Because I WAS!”  Also, it was kind of like Buck’s heart broke because Eddie “said” he doesn’t "really" remember it while Buck can’t forget the way his heart fell out of his chest that day when he saw the love of his life bleeding out in the middle of the street.
Also, Eddie’s still waiting for Buck to talk about the fact that he died. Reminder, Eddie's heart fell out of his chest too and he yelled at the hospital staff and told them to "Do More!" Even though they briefly discussed it while they were in the cemetery in 6x15, BUCK STILL HASN’T DEALT WITH IT YET!  If he would have gone to therapy instead of whatever he was doing with the DeAtH dOuLa, then maybe he would have dealt with it by now.
4. Buck’s Couch
Tumblr media
Full Disclosure:  Like so many viewers, I was pissed at the end of the season when Buck asked N to help him pick out a new couch because it didn’t make any sense and the truth is IT STILL DOESN’T but hindsight is 20/20 and I do believe the couch was still there for a reason.  IMO, it has everything to do with what could happen between Buck and Eddie in season 7.
Please note, these are my observations and interpretations about what I believe the destruction of Buck’s couch represented.
After Margaret bought Buck a new couch at the end of 6x11, beginning in 6x12, the show spent a lot of time showing how uncomfortable it was for Buck whenever he tried to rest on it.  Also, they AVOIDED showing it in a lot of other scenes even though Buck’s previous couch (the black leather one), when he still had it, could always be seen in the frame (post linked here).  However, the orange couch wasn’t fully seen until 6x18 before Kameron gave birth on it.
IMO, her giving birth on the couch Buck's mother purchased represented a lot of things including Buck’s idea of the life he always believed he was supposed to have.  Reminder, he gave his sperm (I don’t think the baby is his but let’s roll with this idea for a moment) to Connor (a former roommate) so him and his wife could have a baby even though Connor and Buck hadn’t seen each other in years.
He met him while they were in Peru and the only reason Buck ended up in L.A. was because Connor suggested he move with him and his friends because they were “kind of like a family”.  Also, he said Buck has a good heart and that was the reason why he wanted him to be their donor but reminder, the reasons why he said he chose him aren’t hereditary.
It appears the way Connor presented himself in 6x4, with a wife and in search of that "missing" piece (a baby) is exactly what Buck’s always wanted and that’s what his couch represented.  Let's be real, Connor manipulated Buck and they aren’t friends because if they were, wouldn’t he have invited Buck to the wedding or kept in contact with him over those three years? It kind of seemed like he wanted to rub his nose in the fact that he finally settled down while Buck was still living the bachelor life (not really because he already has his own family with Eddie and Chris, he just hasn't realized it yet).
The issue with Buck’s couches was he’s wanted his own family for years but the way his life has been presented, it appears he believes no one wants to build a life or a family with him and that's why he gave away a piece of himself. In doing so, he was trying to fix the issues he may have seen in Connor's and Kameron's marriage since it was barely hanging on by a thread.  Reminder, Connor let his pregnant wife leave and he didn’t try to reconcile with her.  Also, Buck never said why he didn’t want to turn them down when he was talking to Hen even though he should have.
I believe the destruction of Buck’s couch with the birth of the baby on it was about more than the couch itself.  It was destroyed and unsalvageable because THE DREAM OR IDEA Buck’s always believed he was supposed to have got destroyed when he gave his sperm away.  Also, the couch was his MOTHER’S idea of the life she wants him to have instead of the life he wants to have for himself, hence the reason why he told her he would get a couch when he was ready but she ignored him and bought him one anyway.
His "destroyed couch" illustrated the image Buck’s had in his mind of the life and the family he thought he was supposed to want for years, (i.e., a wife and a child) is no longer applicable because his family will include a husband, EDDIE and their son, CHRIS.
Reminder, there was a lot of talk about the types of family in 6B and they all related to Buck's idea of a family.  In 6x10, Buck told Bobby and Eddie, “It kind of felt like we were an actual family” but then Eddie replied, “You are an actual family”.  Also, in 6x13 when they went to play poker, Eddie responded to Buck while they were walking through the kitchen and said, “It’s a different kind of family” and later in the same episode, Chimney said to Maddie, Athena and Bobby, “Every family is different” but they were talking about Buck because Maddie said she would be furious with Buck if he did what Rhonda Fitzsimmons did when she used her nephew to gain access to Maddie's and Chimney's home.
5. Eddie’s Couch
Tumblr media
Eddie’s blue couch has always been Buck’s couch too and if it wasn’t going to be Buck's anymore, then something would have happened to it or Eddie would have bought a new one like he did at the end of season 2.  But Eddie didn’t and only Buck’s couch got DESTROYED at the end of season 6👀.
Reminder, in 6x9 Eddie was shown sleeping on it, in 6x12 Buck was shown sleeping on it and Chris was shown sleeping on it in 6x15.
Eddie didn’t get the blue couch until season 3 and the couch he had in season 2 was gray (post linked here).  It’s evident Buck still hasn’t figured out Eddie’s couch is also his even though he does know he’s not a guest there.
Therefore, Eddie’s couch and everything it represents for Buck, i.e., a romantic relationship, family and fatherhood will be in play until Buck realizes it or until Eddie explains it to him.
Will the small amount of angst Buck and Eddie experience in season 7 revolve around these 5 unresolved items or others? Only the showrunner, writers and producers know the answer to that question.

It was confirmed in one episode that...
Taylor Kelly is just as bad as she was in 2x6 “Dosed” because she did exactly what she wanted to do then but she waited 5 years to sell her soul for a story and she still threw the 118 under the bus.
Lucy Donato only wanted to hook-up with Buck in 5x11 “Outside Looking In” but she never got the chance.  So, she became petty and made him feel bad about it since he was on a date with someone else.
Natalia (don’t care what her last name is even though she has one) even though Buck told Eddie in 6x15 “Death and Taxes”, “I feel like she SEES me” that was a bunch of BS because she in fact only saw he died and it was SO COOL to her but she COULDN’T UNSEE THE REAL HIM which makes her a terrible person.
Kameron (don’t know their last name and don’t care) is NOT an option for him because HE WILL NEVER CROSS THAT LINE WITH A FRIEND.  That’s what his whole comment in 6x14 “Performance Anxiety” of “Nobody likes a cheater” was all about.  He reminded the GA he did cheat in 5x11 and no one liked it (the audience hated it) so he won’t do it again.
They really showed the GA (even though some will continue to deny, deny, deny) that these women were never good for Buck.
Eddie is the BEST option and HE’S PERFECT FOR BUCK because they’re in love with each other, Eddie SEES him, he doesn’t judge him, he’ll never hurt Buck like TK did, he doesn’t judge him like Natalia did and they’re relationship has always been built on trust.  They’ve already built a family together which was shown in 6x13 “Mixed Feelings” so if some GA viewers still don’t see it, it’s because they don’t want to.

Buck already has a kid
I knew Connor was going to act like a jerk about the baby. I'm so glad I pegged him correctly in my fanfic because he's being a real loser. If he was unsure, he should have thought about it before he begged Buck for his sperm.
The nerve of him asking Buck to talk to Kameron for him. I was so glad Buck told him to GROW UP!
Eddie is Chris' dad and Buck’s his other dad.

So glad it wasn’t just me who noticed the lack of Eddie in that promo 😑 and the only shots focused on him were like old footage from s2 and 3. None of his s5 breakdown or hostage situation badassery or May Day cool moments (like smashing the glass with the fire extinguisher), not even any of his sassy faces from s6. And not a single line of dialogue from him. My motivation to watch s7 dropped about 10 points. The shot of buck and death doula didn't help either 😑
Thank you @blutterlie for the ask.
I noticed the lack of Eddie immediately then I watched the promo again to make sure I didn't miss him but I realized I was right the first time. I was pissed they didn't include any of Eddie's badassery from all the seasons he's been on the show. Let's check notes on how Bad Ass Cool Under Pressure "Sexy Eddie Diaz" is for a minute.
First and foremost, Eddie Diaz is the best dad there is. He's been raising Chris and he sacrifices EVERYTHING for him!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He removed a live grenade from a man's leg and everyone who doesn't remember should realize EDDIE WAS GOING TO GO INTO THE AMBULANCE BY HIMSELF!
(I can't find the GIF I made of him doing the damn thing but if anyone wants to see it, they can watch 2x1 to see sexy Eddie do it because he's the one who KNEW THE ORDINANCE.)
Tumblr media
The man was trapped in a well and swam to safety on his own while the team was above ground trying to figure out what to do to save him.
Tumblr media
He was shot by a sniper.
Tumblr media
He was held hostage by an escaped convict.
Tumblr media
He had a mental breakdown and went to therapy to get better.
Tumblr media
He climbed a 70-foot ladder to rescue Buck after he WAS CATAPULTED OFF THE BASE OF THE TRUCK WITHOUT BEING HARNESSED IN!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But the season 7 promo didn't include any of that.
What else does Eddie have to do to get some damn respect?
It was my main issue with season 6 and it looks like they're going to repeat history and it appears Past will be Prologue for them because they continue to ignore Eddie, Bobby and Chimney. They weren't in the promo that much either but you know who was, Buck's ridiculously short-term love interest ND who's been around for like 2 minutes. It's season 5 all over again, ND is the new TK and I'm not here for it.
They didn't even show Karen, Denny or that much of Ravi in the promo. Or Josh or Linda and these ARE ALL RECURRING CHARACTERS WHO'VE BEEN ON THE SHOW FOR YEARS!
I'm so sick of this BS. They never treat Eddie right and they've been sidelining him for too long. And for those who always holler, "Eddie had a big storyline in season 5" the amount of screen time he receives shouldn't have anything to do with that and if we're being HONEST, all of Eddie's scenes are made to be about Buck and his reaction to Eddie being hurt. Also, Eddie's scenes are usually crammed into the last 5 minutes of the episode and are rarely given the attention they deserve.
HE'S A MAIN CHARACTER BUT THEY KEEP SIDELINING HIM! But they sure don't have a problem giving Buck a lot of recurring characters for his gazillion storylines. Hell, he had 7 in season 6 alone but all they gave Eddie was some raggedy dating storyline and set him up with a chick who's more in love with her brother. 🙄
It would have been better if they would have included ONLY THE MAIN CAST AND LEFT ND OUT OF IT. SHE SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN INCLUDED AND I'LL KEEP SCREAMING IT AND NO ONE IS GOING TO STOP ME!
FREE EDDIE DIAZ FROM 9-1-1'S RIDICULOUS SIDELINES AND GIVE HIM THE SCREEN TIME HE DESERVES.
Thanks again for the ask and I know my response is long but I'm still pissed off by the lack of Eddie Diaz in that damn promo.

Buck & Eddie: The Legal Guardianship, Icebergs and Reverse Uno Cards
Tumblr media
Icebergs are large blocks of ice that were previously attached to glaciers.  They’re found in oceans and their actual sizes can’t be determined just by looking at the part that’s seen above the surface because sometimes it’s smaller than the larger portion that’s below the surface.  Therefore, when the captain of a ship sees an iceberg, they must change the direction in which the ship is traveling or risk crashing into it which could cause the ship to sink, i.e., ‘The Titanic’.
Eddie’s will can be equated to the bottom of an iceberg because it’s always lying below the surface. It’s huge and if it’s ever enacted it will be life changing for both Buck and Chris because it would mean Eddie has died, Buck will become Chris’ legal guardian/dad and Chris will have lost another parent.
Tumblr media
Why am I comparing Eddie’s will to an iceberg?  It’s being compared because it’s relevant to the conversation Buck and Natalia had at his loft in 6x17 “Love is in the Air”.  Let me explain.
Eddie’s will has only been mentioned once in CANON and that was when he revealed it to Buck in 4x14 “Survivors” one year after he made the change. Neither of them told their significant others about it and they haven’t been shown talking to their families about it either.  Eddie didn’t tell AF about it while they were dating and Buck didn’t tell TK while they were dating.
Therefore, the question is, why didn’t they tell them?  If Buck and Eddie are just platonic bros like the show keeps trying to make the GA believe, it wouldn’t be an issue, right?  No, it wouldn’t be so the idea of them just being platonic bros, best friends and/or work partners can’t be the reason.
Here's the issue I found with Buck and Natalia’s conversation in 6x17.
Tumblr media
Buck only told Natalia about his past relationships after they bumped into LD at the bar and after TK appeared on his TV discussing her tell all book about the 118.  He told her he would explain everything over dinner and after he did, he said he knew it was a lot and she agreed but then she said she guessed she could be a lot too.
Tumblr media
She was willing to continue doing whatever it was they were trying to do until the next interruption happened.  Please note, Buck didn’t have to tell Natalia about the sperm donation but he chose to after Kameron showed up at his loft unannounced.
Tumblr media
The part some viewers may have missed is Natalia prepared to leave BEFORE he told her about his sperm donation.  Why is this important?
It’s important because she said she could deal with his past and at the time she may have meant it but the issue was his past wouldn’t stop returning and that made her feel some type of way about it.  It appears Natalia became overwhelmed when Kameron started complaining about the baby being on the way and how Connor was freaking out.  It’s possible their conversation made her uncomfortable and she decided to leave, which she had every right to do and she may have been trying to excuse herself without making a scene but it was clear she didn’t like what she was hearing.
Tumblr media
The interesting part is even though she stood up from the table before Kameron said she needed a place to stay, it probably means she already thought the situation was awkward and she couldn’t figure out why a pregnant woman would come to Buck instead of going to her friends or family to tell them about her problems.  Then when he finally told her about the sperm donation, she said it was a lot and she needed a minute to think.  She grabbed her purse, thanked him for dinner and told him to take care of himself the same way TK did at the end of 5x18 “Starting Over” followed by her leaving.
It was their second date and he didn’t have to tell her anything but he decided to reveal the sperm donation on his own without her asking. That was very mature of Buck because he didn’t have to mention it especially since Kameron didn’t say anything about the baby being biologically his but the caveat is Buck still didn’t tell her everything.
If the fact that his past constantly returning was a lot for her to handle and the sperm donation sent her out the door, how is she going to handle it when she finds out about the legal guardianship? It’s a VERY LARGE DETAIL of his life that he didn’t mention, it’s been below the surface for more than two years and if it’s ever enacted, both his life and the life of whomever he chooses to be in a romantic relationship with will change forever.
So why didn’t he tell her about it?
Tumblr media
The answer is because THE WILL means more to both Eddie and Buck than the show is willing to allow them to admit.  If they ever talk about it, they’ll have to admit what it means and it appears they aren’t ready to let Buck and Eddie go there yet. Let’s be real, their jobs as firefighters are dangerous and they could die while they’re on a call which means if Eddie has NO INTENTION of changing his will, they’re significant others should be made aware before things get too serious so they can make an informed decision.  They don’t have to mention it during the second date but it’s a conversation worth having and they’ll have to decide when to say something.
If the speculation for 6x18 “Pay it Forward” regarding one of them (Eddie) being lost and almost dying again is true, then maybe they’ll finally be forced to talk about it and deal with it.
The point is Eddie never mentioned it to AF while they dated, Buck didn’t mention it to TK while they dated and he didn’t mention it to Natalia either which means there has to be a reason.  The legal guardianship continues to be this huge life altering decision that figuratively resembles the bottom of an iceberg and it remains below the surface but neither of them are talking about it.
It appears the show is using the legal guardianship like it’s a Reverse Uno Card they could drop into an episode at any moment because those cards change the direction of the game the same way Eddie’s will can CHANGE THE DIRECTION OF BUCK AND EDDIE’S RELATIONSHIP.
Will Buck and Eddie be ready to confront everything they’ve avoided talking about for the last 5 years in 6x18? Only the showrunner(s), writers and producers know the answer to that question.

Season 7 is set to start March 14, 2024 on ABC
But...
I was excited to see the promo for the new season on ABC until I noticed there was HARDLY ANY EDDIE in it. So it appears it's a new season on a new network but it's the same BS.
Also WTF was Natalia doing in the damn promo? I will not watch another season that's a redux version of Buck in a relationship with someone like he was for the entirety of season 5 with Taylor. It was exhausting and it shouldn't be included. If they aren't going to let him and Eddie be together then they both should be single.
Didn't they learn anything with the negative feedback that resulted from the end of season 6?
Season 7 marks the start of the sixth season since Eddie's and Buck’s epic love story began so WTH is up with the constant delays?
PSA: My plan is to finish my multi-chapter fanfic titled “I’m still in love with you but... I needed to learn how to love myself too!” before the new season begins because if Buck is going to be in a relationship with ANYONE OTHER THAN EDDIE, I WON'T BE WATCHING!

Buck & Eddie: Rescue vs. Save
Buck’s only SAVED three people but he’s RESCUED hundreds because that’s his job.
I completed a post about the difference between Buck rescuing and saving people last year (linked here) and after 6x17 “Love is in the Air” aired, I wanted to mention this again with definitions to illustrate how Buck rescues people for his job but he saves the people he loves.
To rescue means to remove a person from a dangerous, dire and/or an unpleasant situation, i.e., fire, earthquake, downed helicopter, car accident, etc. and a person can be rescued by someone they don’t know (firefighter).  It’s a one-time event.
To save someone is a process and it’s not a one-time event.  It’s a relationship and the person doing the saving and the one being saved perspectives’ change as they continue to grow and mature together.
In 6x15 “Death and Taxes”, after Buck said he met up with Natalia, Eddie said, “Seriously… dating someone you rescued, you know that never ends well” and he SPECIFICALLY used the word RESCUED instead of SAVED for a reason.
Rescued
Buck rescued Taylor, Ali and Natalia after they were involved in accidents the same way he rescued people during the Tsunami and whenever the 118 was dispatched to rescue people from fires, earthquakes and other disasters.  Also, he rescued Kameron from the standpoint of her needing somewhere to stay while she and Connor are on the outs but since Connor will be in next week’s episode, it’s highly unlikely Buck will end up with Kameron.  He’ll probably be instrumental in helping them save their relationship but he won’t end up with her because the narrative for 6B with regards to the sperm donation has been showing the complete opposite of that scenario.  Connor’s the father (Buck said that in 6x10 “In a Flash” and he said it again to Natalia in 6x17), therefore in 6x18 “Pay it Forward”, he will do just that, pay it forward when he helps Connor realize he has everything he needs with Kameron.
Saved
Buck has only SAVED three people over the past six years and they are Maddie, Chris and Eddie and he saved them because he loves them.  Maddie is his sister; he’s Chris’ legal guardian (in the event of Eddie’s death but soon he’ll be Buck’s stepson) and Eddie is his everything.  Buck saved Maddie after she killed Doug and he ran to meet her when she was injured and stumbled out of the woods in 2x13 “Fight or Flight”.  But he doesn’t have to save her anymore because she’s with Chimney and he admitted it to Sue in 3x14 “The Taking of Dispatch” when he said, “She has everything she needs” as she was hugging Chimney.  Chimney will be the one who saves Maddie now.
Buck saved Chris during the Tsunami after the first wave hit and he swam out to get him.  They came up out of the water together and he protected him because he loves him.  Chris saved Buck too during their conversations both before and after the Tsunami hit when he said, “You’re going to be ok kid” and when he told Buck about never giving up while they sat on top of the 136’s firetruck.  He saved Chris again in 4x8 “Breaking Point” when he gave him a safe place to run to when Eddie starting dating AF.  He listened to Chris and promised him he wasn’t going anywhere and he hasn’t.
Buck SAVED Eddie after he was shot by a sniper in 4x13 “Suspicion” when he crawled underneath a ladder truck (something that almost caused him to lose his leg and his career) screaming for Eddie to get his hand out.  He pulled Eddie to safety and treated his wound until they made it to the hospital.  Reminder the 133’s paramedic was in the back of the ladder truck with them but Buck wouldn’t let her help. Buck SAVED Eddie and Chris again after Eddie’s breakdown in 5x13 “Fear-O-Phobia”.  Chris called and Buck came to save both of them. Reminder, he stayed at the Diaz residence for several days until Eddie was feeling better and he called Bobby to help so that Eddie wouldn’t wake up alone. He loves them so much and he will do anything for them.
The point of this post is to prove that Eddie’s words in 6x15 were specific for a reason since Buck rescues people on the job but he saves his family, the people HE LOVES!
Therefore, Buck dating and marrying Eddie is plausible and likely since he didn’t rescue Eddie, he SAVED HIM!

Buck is already buying baby clothes like he’s really going to be a father. YIKES and WOW!
BUCK’S BREAKDOWN is already in progress but he hasn’t realized it yet.  Eddie will be there to pick up the pieces but hopefully it won’t be too late.

Buck & Eddie: Is Buck the biological father of C&K’s baby?
Full disclosure: After 6x9 “Red Flag” aired, other than to reference it in my blog posts that included a related topic and in one or two of my fanfics, I stopped posting about Buck’s sperm donation mainly because I didn’t like it in 6A and I still don’t.  But while I was creating GIFs for a post about Bobby, Buck and Chris, I noticed all the pregnant women in the scene I included at the beginning of the video (GIF below of the scene) and my curiosity was peaked.  I had questions and I wanted answers, so I analyzed the scene until I could figure out what the show may have been trying to tell the audience. After breaking the scene into three sections, I thought about Buck’s sperm donation along with all the mishaps he experienced every time he went to donate.  Then I considered his parents INITIAL reaction to it in 6x10 “In a Flash” and I think I may have finally figured it out.  Therefore, this is a speculation post based on the metaphors included in that scene.
Tumblr media
In 6x11 “In Another Life”, while Buck was in his coma, he spent the majority of his time trying to fix several things before he ran out of time.  Eddie told him in 5x4 “Home and Away” he’s the guy who always likes to fix things and Bobby told him in 6x11 he was surprised Buck wanted to leave a place where he could fix everything to which Buck responded, “Not everything”.
The entire episode was filled with metaphors, foreshadowing and callbacks but there were two main themes included in it that related to Buck’s arc, family and fatherhood.  In his coma dream, he was trying to find answers to figure out which of his family members he needed to help so that he could return to his real life to fix it.  Even though he said he wanted to go back for himself, based on his response to Bobby about not being able to fix everything while he was in his dream, it appears he left his coma dream thinking he couldn’t fix the fact that he’s not a biological father to any children.
Tumblr media
Buck is still MISUNDERSTANDING THE ASSIGNMENT since he is already a dad to Chris and he’s been co-parenting him with Eddie for five years.  Chris looks like Buck; they have the same hair color blonde/brown and type curly and they have the same eye color, blue. If someone didn’t know Eddie, Buck and Chris, it would be easy for them to assume Buck is Chris’ biological father the same way someone could assume Bobby is Buck’s biological father since they look so much alike. In Buck’s mind, he thinks he has to have children of his own to be a dad but that is so far from the truth especially since he’s been a parent for years.
Tumblr media
Since Buck hasn’t realized he’s already a father, it’s likely he will need someone to tell him that he is the same way May told Bobby he’s Buck’s dad.
There appears to have been a lot of foreshadowing with regards to Buck’s sperm donation included in 6x11 but before each section is analyzed, there are two important things to remember. First, Buck donated his sperm in 6x7 “Cursed” and the episode title alone includes foreshadowing about his donation, i.e., IT’S CURSED.  The universe kept screaming at him every time he tried to make his sperm donation but he WOULDN’T LISTEN.  Second, in 6x10 “In a Flash” the Buckley parents were acting weirder than usual and it seemed like they were acting out of character especially with the way they changed their demeanors after Margaret saw the picture of the sonogram over Buck’s shoulder.  Additionally, it kind of seemed like they were hiding something from him about his own conception that may have something to do with his ability to have biological kids of his own.  Hence Margaret’s response to him of “You were a miracle baby...” which was even weirder especially since she never treated him like he was a miracle when he was growing up.  Buck told Bobby and Eddie while they were riding to the McArthur Park Apartments that his parents thought his decision to be a sperm donor was idiotic.
It appears Buck’s sperm donation is CURSED; his parents think his decision to donate was IDIOTIC and it seems like they could be HIDING SOMETHING from him about the way he was conceived to save Daniel.
Tumblr media
Reminder, the episode was supposed to be “trippy and filled with mind puzzles”, and even though it was, most of the puzzles included in it required viewers to do several rewatches to determine what they meant.  The GIF above includes the first scene where there was a set of nurses and a set of orderlies who were dressed exactly alike and they also wore identical hairstyles.  At first glance, they appear to be twins but since their faces weren’t shown up close, it’s too difficult to tell.  The male orderlies dressed in the tan scrubs appeared several more times throughout Buck’s coma dream and it’s possible they represented something significant with regards to Buck’s sperm donation.
Tumblr media
When Buck saw Bobby and he ran away from Hen and Chimney, he ran past the same two orderlies.
Tumblr media
After Athena sent Bobby out of Buck’s hospital room, she walked over to his bedside and started talking to him.  She said, “That man has lost two children and he cannot survive losing you.  So, WAKE UP DAMN IT! Wake up.”  Buck responded to her from inside of his coma dream and said, “Uh, yeah, I’m trying. I just need to figure out what to fix to get back”.
Tumblr media
When he responded to her, he walked past two men, a Caucasian and an African American, who were sitting in the waiting area next to the windows and there were two empty chairs between them.
Tumblr media
Right when Buck and Bobby walked past the two men, the two male orderlies from earlier in the episode were standing still in front of two glass doors. They didn’t start walking until Buck and Bobby walked past them and just like they did earlier, they walked away together.
Tumblr media
When Buck said, “I just need to figure out what I need to fix to get back”, he walked past four pregnant women.  All of them looked like they were in labor and were about to give birth at any moment.
Speculation
It appears the two men sitting in the waiting area were there to represent Buck and Connor.  Since there were two empty chairs between them, they were NOT sitting right next to each other and those empty chairs could represent the number of days between the last time Connor and Kameron had relations and Kameron’s IVF treatment. Why is this important?  Well, according to several fertility websites, a woman who has “unprotected relations” can have a spontaneous conception from sperm that could have survived within her reproductive system for several days.  Connor is not sterile, he said he has a low sperm count which means some of his little swimmers still work.
The two orderlies that were constantly walking past Buck throughout his coma dream appear to have represented both Buck’s and Connor’s swimmers since every time they were shown, they were walking right beside each other which could represent how Kameron may have been pregnant when she got her IVF treatment done but it wasn’t caught by the doctor because it had only been a couple of days.  Reminder, Kameron got pregnant really fast since Buck donated in 6x7 and he got the call from Connor that she was pregnant in 6x9.
The four pregnant women who were in labor, appeared to represent the reveal of the possibility that Buck may not be the biological father of Connor and Kameron’s baby but it wouldn’t be determined until after she gives birth.  Depending on the time jump that occurred during the hiatus after November 2022, she may be ready to deliver sometime before the end of season 6.  After she gives birth, the biological father will be revealed.
If the Buckley parents know something about Buck’s inability to conceive children, it would explain why they were shocked when Buck said he helped his friends conceive. Reminder, they didn’t change their response about his decision and say he was a miracle baby until after Mr. Han spoke up and said something to them about it.  Is it possible there’s another Buckley family secret that has yet to be revealed👀👀?
Alternative Speculation
It’s possible the two orderlies could represent Kameron being pregnant with twins but if that is the case then it doesn’t support the narrative the show has been pushing all season long.  Buck’s supposed to learn and grow after he realizes being a child’s father doesn’t require biology.  Therefore, if Kameron is pregnant with twins from the possibility of a dual conception with both Buck’s and Connor’s sperm and one of the babies is Buck’s biological child and the other one is Connor’s and they decide to give Buck the baby that’s biologically his, then how will he learn that him being Buck is enough?  He won’t because he’ll keep trying to fix things for everyone else just like he did in his coma dream instead of him focusing on the real issue which is Buck thinking he’s enough for Buck not for everyone else.
Summary
Buck left his coma dream still thinking he couldn’t fix having kids of his own but he already has a child and his name is Christopher Diaz.  It appears one of Buck’s issues with accepting the fact that he is Chris’ second dad and not just his legal guardian if Eddie’s dies, involves the need for someone to tell him he’s Chris’ dad so that he will believe it.  That’s what happened with Bobby because it’s apparent he’s known he is Buck’s found dad for six years but him hearing May say it made it real for him.
One of the things Buck NEEDED to FIX is the fact that he’s already a DAD!  Athena said Bobby couldn’t survive losing Buck well Chris and Eddie wouldn’t survive losing Buck either and that was evident when Eddie couldn’t even look at Buck when he was in his hospital room.  Also, when Chris asked Buck to help him find his dad while he was still in his coma, it seems like Chris may have been asking Buck to find himself since he’s Chris’ other dad.
Bobby’s and Buck’s lives parallel a lot especially when it comes to fatherhood and for the entirety of season 6, the theme has been about FAMILY and FATHERHOOD along with whether a child needs their biological, found or their own family to feel love and support.  Buck has been co-parenting Chris with Eddie for years and they’ve built the family they have together.
The video includes several scenes of Buck and Chris that illustrate the way he’s already a dad and the scene from 6x11 of him looking at the Ferris Wheel while he was in his coma dream includes Chris screaming for him while they were in the Tsunami (the scene was added to the end of the Tsunami clip to illustrate how Buck heard Chris calling for him during his coma dream).
Is Buck the biological father of Connor and Kameron’s baby?  If the speculation for the scene with the two men, the orderlies and the pregnant women is correct... the answer to that question is NO!  Can the narrative change, ABSOLUTELY!  Also, it appears the sperm donation storyline changed a lot after 6A so it remains to be seen what the outcome will be but Connor already reappeared in 6x12 “Recovery” and he didn’t have the chance to tell Buck why he stopped by since Josh knocked on the door.  Kameron is “supposed” to return sometime in the future and so is Connor, therefore it’s unclear what the outcome will be.
Will Buck find out before the end of season 6 if he’s the biological father of their baby?  Only the showrunner(s), writers and producers know the answer to that question.

Buck and Eddie: Buck said, “I feel like she sees me”
(Clearing drafts before the end of season 6.)
When Buck said, “I feel like she sees me” it upset Eddie along with all the viewers who know EDDIE IS THE ONLY PERSON WHO TRULY SEES HIM.  It’s been bothering me for a week now and I finally figured out why.
Every woman Buck’s ever been with only saw one part of him and he’s constantly defined himself via his relationships without really being invested in them.
Hookup #1 - He met her on an app, they hooked up in the firetruck and when he asked her if he could get to know her better she said “You’re really good at whatever it is we just did but let’s not ruin it by getting to know each other better”.  He asked to get to know her but she didn’t want to get to know him.
Hookup #2 (snake handler) - He met her on a call and she saw Buck the Firefighter and nothing else.  Bobby fired him for his antics and even though she told Buck to call her, he probably didn’t since he got fired.
Dr. Wells - Looked at his Facebook page before he ever went into her office, so she saw a firefighter and that’s it.  She never wanted to get to know him.
Abby - Called him after she saw him on the news and even though she was his first real relationship, he didn’t make the choice because she pursued him.  Also, Bobby was the one who gave Buck advice on stepping in with her but it didn’t work and she still abandoned him. He told Maddie “I like the me that I am when I’m with her” but he was still defining himself based on what he thought they had and when she returned in 3x18, all she talked about was the things she wanted and needed but disregarded him completely.  He even told her that he was happy for her.
Taylor - First encounter was because she saw a hot firefighter and they hooked up in a bar.  When he went to apologize she reminded him that she bought him a drink.
Ali - Told him she didn’t know after the ladder truck explosion because she couldn’t be who she was if she stayed with him since he didn’t want to give up firefighting.
Taylor - He told her “I spent my whole life feeling like I wasn’t enough, so if you don’t want me” and when she said she did want him, he took that to mean she really wanted a relationship.  Things were never going to work with them because she never knew or saw all of him and when she put his family in danger, he had to end it.
Connor (old roommate) - acted like he really knew who Buck was to get him to agree to the sperm donation.  He told Buck he knew he had a good heart and isn’t that what Buck’s always wanted?
Natalia - is the one who’s giving him the “attention” he’s always wanted.  In his coma dream he told Bobby he finally felt like he mattered there in his other life, so when she was mesmerized by him dying, he believed that’s what he’s been looking for.  Someone to marvel at him and even though it looks like he’s more interested in learning more about his death and how he needs to accept it, he was happy someone wanted to hear his story about dying without making him feel bad about it.
Eddie
Eddie SEES ALL OF BUCK and that’s a fact but Buck’s too caught up in his own head to realize it.
"There’s nobody in this world I trust with my son more than you."
"No one will ever fight for my son as hard as you and that’s what I want for him."
"You act like you’re expendable... but you’re wrong."
"You died Buck.  I found the best way to process is to allow yourself to feel it."
"You don’t have to be anything for anybody."
Is Buck finally getting it?  It seems like he is and it’s painful to watch but he said, “I feel like I have to be the same old Buck, mostly for the sake of everyone else” which means he’s been pretending and he knows it but he’s not ready to look too closely at it because he’s close to understanding his heart has and still does belong to Eddie.
Buck admitted in 6x13 “Mixed Feelings” that he’s the one with the answers and Eddie acknowledged it in 6x15 “Death and Taxes” so Buck’s the one who has to figure things out since Eddie already knows.  Another thing is Buck has to realize Eddie is an option so he’ll stop “hiding his true feelings” (that’s what he told Dr. Copeland in 4x2).  Eddie’s waiting for Buck to finally get it and it appears he just might get it in 6x18 when he might lose Eddie again.

With all the problems Buck experienced every time he tried to donate his sperm, it’s possible something could happen to halt the process that wouldn’t have anything to do with Buck.  Here are the five things that happened during each of his attempts.
Tumblr media
(1) The receptionist said they didn’t get his forms but he assured her they were emailed to them.  Then she said the computer server was down, asked if he could come back another day and then she said they were open from 8am-8pm.
Tumblr media
(2) The lab was closed for lunch but the receptionist didn’t mention that during his first visit.
Tumblr media
(3) The lab tech fainted right before she was preparing to draw his blood.
Tumblr media
(4) The lab experienced a power outage and Buck tried to reschedule his appointment for the fourth time while the receptionist was on the phone with the power company.
Tumblr media
(5) The final time he had to make it there by 9am or he would have to reschedule. Then his Jeep broke down but he ran all the way there and when he arrived the receptionist was all calm but she wasn’t shown checking him in, she just asked him if he was ok and gave him the collection cup along with some magazines.  Also since the lab tech fainted, did they even draw his blood during his final appointment?
Therefore it’s possible the lab could end up losing his donation, get it mixed up with another donor's, spill it or something that would require Buck to have to do it again. The mishaps were too glaring and obvious for the probability of something going wrong to be lessened.  Also, it would be another sign from the universe screaming at Buck since he keeps refusing to listen.

“I gave you a son and a family!”
Fanonwriter2023 on AO3
Where CANON and FANON collide!
6B Speculation Buddie Fanfic
I finally finished it!
Tumblr media
💕“I gave you a son and a family!”💕
60.6K Words Rated: Mature
I finally finished it and I’m so excited.  This is the largest fic I’ve ever written and it took me more than 3 months to complete it.  I started writing it right after 6A ended but I stopped because I didn’t like Buck’s storyline.  I started writing it again in January 2023 and I worked on it periodically until I finally finished it.
I enjoyed writing it and I hope everyone enjoys reading it.
____________
Here’s a snippet from Buck and Eddie’s argument.
____________
Buck decides to say some of the things he vowed he would never say out loud to anyone.  “This was my only chance to be a dad and it’s looking like… I’ll never have any children of my own because all people see when they look at me is an uncle or a guardian.”
At that Eddie stands stock still.  He squints his eyes and he asks with so much anguish in his voice, “What did you just say?”
“I said…” Buck doesn’t have the opportunity to finish because Eddie interrupts him.
“Buck?!  The part about being a guardian was directed at me, wasn’t it?”
Eddie glares at Buck and says, “I GAVE YOU A SON!”
Buck freezes.
“What did you think I meant when I told you, I named you to be Chris’ legal guardian in my will?”
“Uh, I thought you were saying—I would only get to be Chris’ dad if you died”.
Eddie shakes his head no. “You misunderstood.  I gave you Chris because I trust you with every part of me.  I wanted to spend my life with you but now, I know that we’ll never be like that and it’s ok because I’ll deal like I always have.”
Buck’s mouth falls open as realization sets in.
Eddie whisper shouts, “Buck, I’ve chosen you over and over again but now I know you don’t want me or the family I’ve been trying to give you!”

The first three-episode titles for 6B; 6x10 “In a Flash”, 6x11 “In Another Life” and 6x12 “Recovery” make it seem like Buck will actually be injured and possibly in a coma after the hiatus (All credit goes to @loveyourownsmiilee for never giving up on her coma!Buck theory).  If Buck goes into a coma, will he end up with a severe case of amnesia like the man from the car accident experienced in 5x18 “Starting Over”?
Tumblr media
If so, how long will his amnesia last (weeks or months)?  Also will it be the thing that puts a stop to him being a SPERM DONOR?  Hopefully it will since he won’t remember Connor and Kameron when they come back to ask him to donate again.  Reminder, Buck probably sabotaged his first donation because it had been 4 weeks since the last time he did the deed and by doing that it’s likely that he caused a lot of his sperm to die ("Infrequent ejaculation can increase the quantity of dead sperm").  Buck told Maddie in 5x18 that Hen said the type of amnesia the victim had meant “his memories might come back”.  If Buck does end up having amnesia, then hopefully it will be TEMPORARY and only last a week so that he and Eddie can confess their love for each other and start their lives together before the end of season 6.
