📚¡Muy buenas, ratones de biblioteca!📚 Por fin han llegado las vacaciones de verano y las inauguro trayendo la reseña de un libro que ha estado acompañándome durante mi época de exámenes. Hablo de Anne sin filtros, un retelling de Ana de las Tejas Verdes en clave de comedia romántica escrito por Iria G. Parente y Selene M. Pascual, editado por Molino y con ilustraciones de Cristina Cid Pagès. 🥕Because when you are imagining, you might as well imagine something worth while. 🥕 Esta novela es todo un homenaje a todas las personas que hemos escrito fanfics, a las que nos encanta crear historias sobre lo que nos gusta (o para hacer realidad nuestros headcanons, para qué mentir 🤣), y un recordatorio de que lo que realmente importa de crear es disfrutar. Es una historia tierna y muy divertida, con unos personajes que se sienten muy reales. La trama romántica rompe con el amor idealizado que se nos ha inculcado, y también le da una vuelta de tuerca al cliché del triángulo amoroso, sin dejar de ser muy bonita y dulce. Reconozco que no me he leído los libros de Ana de las Tejas Verdes, pero sí que me he visto Anne with an E, y puedo decir con certeza que Iria y Selene han adaptado a todos los personajes a la perfección dentro de esta novela, pero quien destaca de entre todos es Anne, que sigue siendo la chica romántica, tierna, imaginativa y en cierto punto inocente y por eso la he adorado desde el primer momento. Anne with an "E" is a show which portrays various issues such as discrimination, harassment, censorship, grief and whatnot. It even represents menstruation and makes viewers understand it is natural.

Even though it is set in the 19th century, many aspects of the show make it relatable to the 21st century too. Different types of people appear, some of which may remind us of someone we all know of. Anne with an "E" teaches us that our mistakes do not define us, what we do to correct them does.

One integral part of Anne with an "E" is that it shows us a healthy, teenage romance where both individuals are equals and respect eachother. Sadly, this kind of relationship is very rarely seen on TV these days.

This is the type of show we want our younger generation to watch and grow up. It has a huge impact on tweens and teens as they can learn what is right and what isn't from this show. Unfortunately, this show has been cancelled too soon. At the very least, we need a conclusive ending to this beautiful story. Renew Anne with an "E" and create an impact on young minds. @netflix @cbc

Don't give up, fam. We have an entire book series to base the story on. If it is renewed in 10 years, we can see their adult lives when we are adults. We'll fight for this for years to come!
