Book Review #46 of 2023--
Tumblr media
Milk & Mocha: Our Little Happiness by Melani Sie. Rating: 4 stars.
Read on April 19th.
Before I get into the review, a quick thank you to both NetGalley and the publishers over at Andrews McMeel Publishing for allowing me access to this ARC in exchange for an honest review. The popular WebComic Milk & Mocha is now being turned into a traditionally published book. “Cheerful Milk and patient Mocha share their adorable slice-of-life adventures in this comic collection as they show how opposites really do attract.” I feel like I’ve seen these characters in passing on the internet but now there’s a whole book about them. Milk & Mocha: Our Little Happiness comes out on July 25th and is available for preorder now.
I’ll keep this short and sweet since Milk, Mocha, and their dinosaur friend are all short and sweet. This was a super fast comic. It took me...10? 15 minutes to read? There was little text so it was quick and easy to get through. Some of the sweetest moments are in here. And there were so many times I wanted to show a page to my husband but since he’s at work I’ll just have to point them out to him later. I love adding in a comic or something from NetGalley while I’m reading something with a little more oomph to it. I’m currently half way through Jade City so this was great for breaking that up for me and pulling me into a much lighter headspace. Just completely adorable.

A Special Thanks To Andrews McMeel Publishing and Net Galley For The Opportunity To Review This Title.

Y’all hear about Scott Adams’s racist tirade? If you haven’t, bottom line is he called black Americans a “hate group” and suggested white Americans “get the hell away from black people”.
Newspapers are starting to drop his comic from their pages, and I’m really hoping his publisher, Andrews McMeel, also drops him. It was only a matter of time before his bigotry ended his career.
