SAS Rogue heroes: X-Men au

For a while now @rosescruensixxam and I have been working on an X-Men au and here are part 1 out of 3 planned posts, the rest will come soon enough.

This is everyone’s powers, we TRIED to do the characters justice but at least we had fun while doing it!

DAVID STIRLING: Power bestowal and augmentation, disintegration

PADDY MAYNE: Metal claw growth, Superhuman Durability, Adaptive Reflexes, Superhuman Marksmanship, Impenetrable Skin, life force absorption (alias Mad Dog)

JOCK LEWES: Energy Manipulation, Energy Blasts, Molecular Acceleration, Superhuman Durability, (alias Oppenheimer?)

JOHNNY COOPER: Slowed down aging, superhuman reflexes, super leaping, superhuman speed, wall crawling, superhuman agility( he is basically Nightcrawler) (alias Sparrow( from “The Sparrow from Minsk”) nobody is gonna get this)

AUGUSTIN JORDAN: Life Force Absorption and conduction, blood bending, Adaptive Evolution/ Immortality, Superhuman Marksmanship, (alias Vampire/Twilight haha)

JIM ALMONDS: Healing factor, (alias Nurse?)

MARC HALÈVY: Self detonation, shockwaves (alias Grenade? pull the pin and throw me where the enemy is most numerous)

HERBERT BRUCKNER: Invisibility, shapeshifting, self duplication

WALTER ESSNER: Electrokinesis, technopathy( if frying phone batteries count), lightning travel?( eventually)

(alias Surge? something like that, I can imagine someone at the school calling Walter “Sparky” in a joking way not knowing about his past( part of a fic we wrote) and the guy just tranformes into that ptsd war dog meme)

It’s just getting good, the warmth between them as they kiss making Pat moan as he grinds against André. He wants André closer, to feel André’s weight pinning him to the wall they’re up against, and reaches for his lover’s hips, trying to pull him in.

Without breaking the kiss, André gives a low, almost warning growl, his hands closing tight around Pat’s wrists, claiming them. He brings them up, leaving Pat gasping and they’re pinned above his head, the kiss faltering. He gasps again, moaning and shuddering right down to his core as André bites at his lower lip, sucking on it and then letting go.

“Keep quiet,” he’s warned.

With a soft laugh, everything else about him on thrilling edge, Pat happily squirms beneath Andre’s weight. He half-heartedly tries to pull his hands back, but finds them held fast. “Why?” he challenges. “Who’s gonna hear us?”

André leans in, his voice dangerously low. “Hush,” he demands, and then silences any further challenge by kissing Pat just as hungrily as before.

Relaxing, and not bothering to try and hold back the moan that is drawn from him by the position he’s in, Pat grins a little. They’re not that loud. He knows that. He’s just starting to realise that André likes telling him what to do.

Whether or not he listens is another matter entirely.

I was going to publish this as a quote then I released it needed context and an explanation of its meaning. One possible meaning of the above is that the speaker is asking God to give him all the worries, the turmoils and the insecurities of the world so that he can unburden the world and he alone can shoulder those things so that other’s do not have to.

I’m not religious in this way, but I think if looked at from a romantic perspective, one could see this as a girl wanting to shoulder all the burdens of her love in an attempt to make his life sweeter (or vice a versa).

This poem/prayer is called La Prière du Para (or The Paratrooper's Prayer) and was found in the possession of Aspirant (Brevet-Lieutenant) André Zirnheld, upon his death in Libya on June 27, 1942. He was the first first French paratrooper officer killed in action. This poem/prayer has been adopted by all French Metropolitan and Marine Infantry Paratrooper Units and Regiments except for the parachutist of the French Foreign Legion and the Portuguese Paratroopers. The poem/prayer appears before A. J. Quinnell's novel Man on Fire, the main protagonist of which is an ex-paratrooper in the Legion. In this novel, the main protagonist attempts to shield a young girl from the perils of the outside world but fails and instead must embark on a mission of vengeance after her death.

I hope this goes a little to explaining this poem/prayer.

No dia 27 de junho de 1942, no auge da 2ª Guerra Mundial, morreu André Zirnheld, da Força Aérea Francesa Livre (a

França estava ocupada pelas forças alemãs nazistas e contava com contingentes de franceses livres que lutavam pela liberdade).

André Louis Arthur Zirnheld nasceu em Paris em 7 de Março de 1913 em uma família judaica da Alsácia (leste da França, junto às fronteiras alemã e suíça), pós-graduado em filosofia, e nomeado em 1937 professor de filosofia no Liceu Carnot em Túnis (Tunísia). Em outubro de 1938, ele trabalhou como professor do College of the Mission Secular francês em Tartus na Tunísia.
