Cassian: I want to hear those three little words.
Jyn: I love you.
Cassian: That's sweet, but try again.
Jyn: Fine. I will behave.

The funniest thing in Andor is still how Syril perceives himself as this Judge Dredd meets Sherlock Holmes figure when in reality he mostly just ordered his subordinates around and then froze up when combat started

I can’t wait to see Syril stop sulking next season and discover his true purpose - making Dedra worse.

is there a narrative reason for Capsize dying? The consensus I’ve seen is that it’s a driving force for Jordan, but pre-her death that doesn’t feel true? She feels more of a drive for Tom’s character and I don’t think it works or is satisfying with her dead.

and i draw parallels solely on the cinematographic basis of “when my man is no more than a millimeter away from perturbation at all times but you give the Whole Right Half Of The Screen 3/4 Closeup of Harrowing Recontextualizations” like that’s right. we’re living it up

ngl its very weird to me with the type of story that andor is telling to see ppl make the totally normal fandom memes abt objectively brutal arcs. like ppl joking abt cassians motivation in the narkina 5 eps being "i am going to cause problems on purpose" or smth. girl that was an arc about criminal profiling, labor exploitation, and physical/mental torture in the prison complex system under fascism, and the characters being traumatized by and defying those things. what is funny.

I imagine that whatever happened between cassian and bix started when they were teenagers (sort of a first love, school crush sort of thing) so i picture him all nervous, going to brasso and clem for advice on how to talk to bix
You know whats funny for me? That for years the fandom had this idea that Cassian was the "i will talk with your parents to ask permission" guy, but once he is confident he just choose to climb walls and stuff.
But YEAH, nervous and stressed teenager Cassian its just so cute , ❤️

It’s a shame Disney messed up Star Wars so bad that no one was willing to give Andor a chance, because it’s easily probably the best piece of live-action Star Wars media since Disney acquired the company.

I wrote a one-shot for this artwork, called “After Hours”. ❤ It has spoilers for the season one finale. Summary:
After the events on Ferrix, Luthen Rael returns to Coruscant. His brush with death compels him to admit his long held feelings for his closest ally.
Kleya Marki has spent years working with the enigmatic Luthen Rael, a man she has come to respect and care for. But the arrival of a new recruit exposes how little she truly knows him—the real him.

Three things about this episode:
The torture scene with Bix was very triggering. I genuinely considered stopping the episode for today because i was not expecting them to be so explicit about the torture.
Dedra can die in the most painful and pathetic way btw i want her to burn alive i want her to choke and die she is the worst.
-
What happened in the prison, all the pressure from the beginning to the end of the episode. Cassian loosing it because he knows nobody is listening to them and the prison works on psychological torture. And when the rumor (which is the truth, really) spread and Kino started to tear up while asking everyone to basically shut up and stay in line until they figure out wtf is happening. Ulaf's fate is saddening, he's just an old man like. At his age you're supposed to garden and let your grandkids show you their weird music and make cakes, you're not supposed to kill yourself with work. And the whole cycling through levels, sending them at the other sides of the building on purpose so that no one ever notice, and when they do they all get killed...
-
Vel being Mon's cousin was something i did not see coming. Her repeating Cinta's words was as much for Mon as for her I think. Also it's about time Mon drops her smelly failed hippie rock star husband. I'm still like, happy that Vel and Mon are there for each other, because clearly they can't count on anyone else in the family.
-
Syril is creepy. Creepy creepy.
-
This episode really is about mental/ psychological torture and abuse and the whole contrast between "nobody's listening' in the prison vs. Bix forced to listen to the distorted screams of people vs. Mon and Vel having to whisper and choose their moment wisely because anybody could be listening at any time.
It was really a hard episode to watch like. Yeah i really had a hard time going through it just because of how horrible and real these things are. People say that Andor is a thriller/horror story in a scifi world and just happens to be star wars, and honestly that's true. This show never disappoints.

sometime after scarif i sincerely hope that someone in the isb finds out cassian andor was involved in stealing the death star plans and is just so impotently mad because it’s that guy. funnier if dedra lives for this scenario.
there’s something so darkly funny about how cassian keeps saying that the empire doesn’t care about anyone when they care a great deal about his whereabouts specifically.
