Megatron : *leaves the decepticons for 15 years and begins his redemption arc to atone for the crimes he had done in the past*

What the "evil" Decepticons that served under him are doing nowadays :

Yes I know the Soundwave and Shockwave ones are storyboard but I still say it counts.

I find it funny how the minute Megatron left all the decepticons became soft, now they're just out doing whatever they want and just being silly.

It'd be pretty interesting to see some geniunely bad decepticons again maybe they'll arrive from space? Scourge? scorponok? Tarn? Overlord? Because the main decepticons seemed to have given up their old ways, the entire decepticon high command got a seemingly redemption. So if they do come back I wish they won't give Overlord or Tarn a redemption because some villains are just better off as bad, especially Overlord.

Cyclonus I can accept for a redemption arc, I loved his story arc in the lost light, I heard a rumor the mercenaries would be in s2 not sure of the validity of that, but if soundblaster could arrive, someone like jhiaxus could also be interesting

Transformers Prime/TFP Decepticons as Sparklings💕

A/N: I've thought about this idea for a while after the Autobot headcanons of this, and now I decided to write it. And some of them can be short, GIFs do not belong to me, credits go to the original creators, (some of them were from google) lastly, they may seem OOC😭🤧

Warnings: Light injuries, Mention Bullying but nothing too far, I guess a bit of angst?, and, Fluff.

Megatron; Now be ready to handle him, because he's going to be one of the hardest sparklings to take care of. Megatron's a big meanie to other sparklings, he'll consider bullying them if they get in his way. So make sure that whenever he's near someone else, be with him if you don't want chaos to happen. Don't even get him a babysitter, you're the only one he trusts when it comes to taking care of him since you are his original guardian. Though to improve his mood, give him lots of love and affection despite how he doesn't like cuddles. It's better to initiate physical contact when he's not angry unless you want your hand to have bite marks.

Starscream; He's kind of a brat. Starscream can be disobedient and rude especially when he screams or throw tantrums. Primus, just like Megatron needs to be watched at times, mostly when he's with other sparklings. He'll pick on them and maybe steal their stuff away. You can teach him a lesson of Discipline when he gets too ignorant. It takes a long for him to learn things, mainly if he chooses not to listen to you. But he does love getting praise and affection from you, it makes him feel happy, even if he's a bit cocky about it. You can tell that he wants your attention alone at times because he gets jealous of you spending time with someone else other than him, he'll even glare or scream at them.

Soundwave; A very quiet sparkling that it's kind off hard to tell how he feels or what he wants. He's not one to show his feelings so truly. Like you don't know if he feels happy, sad, or, angry. But you can understand him just by seeing how he acts. Especially when you both are in public places with other sparklings. He'll cling to you or by your side. Because he doesn't want to chat or play with them, he'd rather let himself be alone. Well, except for you of course. Even if he won't express his emotions freely, he loves that you give him affection and love. He gets very joyful that a smiley face or a heart sign appears on his visor. <3 Soundwave returns your affections by using his small noodle arms to hug you in return, making you giggle as you both snuggle together.

Shockwave; He's a very observant sparkling to say. No matter how small things can be he'd still be interested in them. So it doesn't take much for him to be bored, just by seeing how easily interested he can be in small things. Just be careful though, he may get curious about things that he shouldn't know. I see him also wanting to meet other sparklings, the only problem is that he can't walk properly at it may take some time for bots like him to only have one optic. His antenna twitches if he's happy or excited about something, it looks so adorable <3. Shockwave does not give affection or hugs to you, but he does like receiving them from you. If he's happy while you snuggle him, you can again see his antenna twitching once more.

Breakdown; A sparkling who can be so Prideful of himself. He's someone who'd be very competitive with other sparklings. He may act strong and tough, but he can be a total sweetspark. Only with you, he'll act sweet. He reminds you how much he loves you by showing affection and love or giving some gifts to you while having a bold smile on his faceplates. "Sire/Carrier, Here's a gift for you!" He'd say happily. Breakdown is the type to mostly rudely treat others if they ever show disrespectfulness to you, he feels like he needs to protect you. I see him being giddy if you ever inflict affection on him. Seeing you happy already makes Breakdown more than happy, because he loves you.

Knockout; Please, he's the type of sparkling to freak out if he ever sees a spider or bug. He'll run to you crying or babbling, saying that he's scared of it, and wants it to be gone. Knockout's also afraid of the dark, he'll cling to you while crying so loudly. You can calm him down by singing him a lullaby or something. He can fall into recharge if you do, but hey, at least he's not crying anymore. Knockout is the type to act like a fashion model, while he poses as he looks at himself in a mirror. It's really cute when he's calm as he can be. He's playful and active. He gets nervous when he sees strangers, he'll hide behind you or just hug you. You're one of the people he deeply trusts. He gets very cheery when you give him attention or you praise him.

Skyquake and Dreadwing;

These two are inseparable. Despite how they are twins, they have different personalities. Dreadwing is mostly who is more obedient and attentive. While Skyquake is reckless and at times he can be irresponsible. But Skyquake looks up to his brother, so luckily he follows his actions. Make sure to give both sparklings the same treatment of affection and love. Because if one receives more attention, they'll get jealous and will start a fight with each other. The two twins love to spend time with you. They both feel contented if you give them equal treatment of care and love. Like let's say you guys are snuggling together and you praise them? They couldn't be more than grateful, as they return the same to you. I know they're the type to team up if they want to show you a surprise, and gets jolly when you tell them that you love it.

Predaking; At a young stage, he can't fly or breathe fire strongly. It's only when he gets older he can learn how to do them well. He likes being pet or scratched by you. It makes him feel happy as he lets out low purrs from it. Predaking is an energetic sparkling so he takes naps often for him to recover his energy. Whenever he wants attention from you, he'll give you puppy eyes as he whimpers, and Primus he's looks so cute when he does that. Sometimes, when he gets way too excited he'll breathe out fire and will accidentally burn something. If he feels sad or lonely he'll wail loudly until you calm him down. Predaking loves it when you give him affection and attention, he purrs happily as he rests in your arms.

Starscream Earthspark

So, I saw all the episodes of Earthspark yesterday, and I'm so happy! I really have a lot to say about this series, which is really great, but here I'm going to focus on my favorite character. Those who know me surely know who I'm going to talk about X): Starscream!

We finally have a Starscream that is listened to and believed! I was so happy when Hashtag tried to put herself in his shoes, and even ended up standing up for him against Megatron. The fact that someone believed him, understood that he didn't deserve everything he went through made me feel so good and made me so happy.

I was so sad after TFP ended because the show seemed to show that Starscream deserved all the horrific abuse he suffered, both physically and mentally. Even in RID15 we are going in this direction, and I admit that it annoyed me. But when I saw the direction Earthspark was heading, I jumped for joy. We finally allow this more than misunderstood character to express himself and talk about his pain.

So, yeah, he's Starscream, and he's not really a good guy. But that doesn't justify all he's suffered at Megatron's hands. As Hashtag says, it wasn't all his fault. Not much is known about Megatron and Starscream's past yet, and I hope the show will expand on their history more. For example, how did they come to hate each other so much.

After, when Megatron and Starscream are fighting in the cave, I think if Megatron was so violent against Starscream, it's probably because there was Hashtag. He has such a bad image of Starscream that he must have thought the Seeker was attacking Hashtag.

Also, I think it's no exaggeration to say that Starscream must have suffered greatly at the hands of Megatron in this universe as well. Because Starscream literally tells him that he's not safe where Megatron is. So, we don't yet know how violent it was, but we can still have some guesses. There is also the hurt of Megatron's abandonment of the cause which is clear in Starscream.

Anyway, I'm really happy with Starscream's arc, and the development the Earthspark writers decided to give him. We see that he's going to go into redemption, just like Megatron, and it's nice to see that he's being given a chance too. Megatron has often had the right to a redemption arc (in IDW for example) but Starscream never (not really).

I also like that it was surely him who rallied the Decepticons helped the Terrans. When Twitch releases the others, and asks them for help, clearly none of them want to interfere. But as soon as Starscream arrives, everyone else arrives with him. So we can assume that he was the one who convinced them to help, and I think that's really great.

I can't wait to see what happens next and how the story will progress. There is still plenty to say about Earthspark, but here I focused on Starscream. I could also talk about the horrible death of Karen right in front of her brother John (poor John...), or the terrifying metamorphosis of Mandroid, or even the evolution of Robby and Mo (which is really cool).

PS: The fact that Starscream is practically adopting Hashtag is adorable X3. The hug scene with Twitch too, so not used to affection XD.

I just finished Earthspark and OH MY GOSHGFHHBBNNHH. I loved it. I require more. Give me my precious content, or there will be problems.

My honest review of Earthspark.

~~~~~~~~~~~SPOILERS~~~~~~~~~~

Things I loved:

Steve Blum.

Megatron calling Twitch ‘Little Bird’ absolutely melted my heart because, next to him, she is sooooooo tiny! It’s adorable.

Buddy McSnarly. Buddy envisions everything I aim for in life.

Dot and Megatron’s dynamic was beautiful. They were so cool together. I love the fact that even though Dot is a human he laughs with her and treats her like a friend. If I don’t get a whole lot more of them in the next season there will be problems.

The fact that they only draw attention to Dot’s prosthetic once and it’s when she’s telling the bad guy that she was harmed by the war too, is awesome. It shows her not letting it get in the way of her day-to-day life. She fights giant alien robots like a badass. We need more characters like her in modern media, people with disabilities that have normal lives. I love the way she was portrayed.

Swindle was awesome. I loved tfa swindle and I think tfe Swindle is my second favorite portrayal of him.

Twitch’s swords were awesome.

Nightshade. REPRESENTATION BABYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. FUCK. YEAH. I have wanted a non-binary transformer since I first got into transformers and my wish was finally granted. I love Nightshade and they better have an important roll or I will throw hands.

The fact that Megatron seemed to have better morals then Optimus, intrigued me.

Steve Blum. (part 2: electric boogaloo)

Lazerbeak was adorable and I want to hug him.

Soundwave looked awesome. (Flat Fuck Friday)

The main cast of humans wasn’t just white with a black person thrown in so they could say they have a diverse cast.

Hashtag calling herself Sparkplug and then saying they want revenge on Skywarp because and i quote: “We used to be roommates (insert picture of Hashtag and Skywarp on a bunk bed) in the bad guy academy (insert picture of them staring into each other’s eyes blushing and holding each other.) The fact that Skywarp uses she/her pronouns makes this even better because it means: Imaginary Lesbian Relationship.

Episode III: Return of the Blum

Things I disliked:

The fact that the smoke and fire were 2d while everything else was 3d bugged me immensely.

Mo’s head and eyes seemed like they were twice as big as everyone else’s was kinda weird but that’s probably just me nitpicking.

Starscream showed up for less than 10 seconds. For 5 seconds he was just a silhouette and it lit him up, he did and evil laugh and then the episode was over. W H Y. WHY MUST THEY TORTURE US WITH FALSE HOPE. I NEED STARSCREAM CONTENT. AHHHHHHHH- (in all seriousness I can’t wait for more Steve Blum as Starscream. He did an amazing job in tfp and I can’t wait to see what he does now.)

All-in-all Earthspark was awesome and I can’t wait for more content.

Transformers EarthSpark has been a fun ride so far. Easily the best cartoon we’ve had since Beast Wars and Animated (anyone who knows me knows why I don’t lump Prime and Cyberverse in that category), it’s full of heart, actual characters, and an intriguing concept in the Terrans and what they represent in a post war, trapped on Earth situation.

I’ve always had mixed opinions on a repentant Megatron, and while I think MTMTE managed to make it work (albeit not without some cheating), Cyberverse completely fumbled that concept, so I wasn’t sure about a similar repentant Megatron working with the Autobots here. Thankfully it’s handled surprisingly very well, and I think it helps that on top of not dwelling on the specifics too much, this Megatron is actually quite friendly and chipper. This is a Megatron who genuinely and sincerely believes in cooperation and isn’t hampered by millennial depression (MTMTE), stereotypical Twit/Tum unhinged villain blinded by ego and pride that just needs a hug and kisses troupe (Cyberverse), and is willing to put aside old grievances for the betterment of Transformers and humans on Earth. This is not without its conflict as Megatron harbors some resentment to GHOST and their treatment of renegade Decepticons (shown in particular when he and Optimus are trying to wrangle the cassettes), but still believes in the Earth-Cybertron Alliance through the Maltos.

The Maltos are also a fun return to human allies that I’ve missed since RiD15 and Bumblebee. The kids and their bond with the Terrans are handled well, kind of a Pokémon/Digimon/Bakugan style bond that I adore, Dot’s friendship with Megatron and slight disdain for Optimus is hilarious in a meta sense and Alex is just a delight. I’m a sucker for unapologetically, openly nerdy characters and Alex tics all those boxes for me. His growing friendship with Bumblebee is also very sincere and sweet, despite his quirky fanboy habits.

Bumblebee reprising his reluctant leadership/mentor role is really fun too. As a huge RiD15 fan, it’s really cool to see concepts from that revived (so when can we expect EarthSpark Steeljaw? 👀), and in a way I’d argue the concept is a little better here. Thrash and Twitch are more curious little kids vs Sideswipe and Strongarm’s teenage shenanigans, so seeing Bee have to gently wrangle “little kids” as a well meaning but slightly put upon teacher and annoyed uncle figure is a fun pivot to the dynamic.

I’d say RiD15 and now EarthSpark Bumblebee are hands down my favs (outside G1 Bee). Somewhat surprised Will Friedle didn’t reprise the role, as we got Steve Blum back as Starscream. Ah well. I like Huey Duck being the voice here all the same.

This is hands down the best Optimus we’ve had in a long time. The dorky dad that can crack a joke and be strong enough to be gentle was sorely missed and his triumphant return is the first time I’ve enjoyed an Optimus again since Cybertron Optimus and Animated Optimus. So for me personally it’s been a looooong while. Way too long. It’s also the first time I’ve liked a modern Optimus design. It’s the right amount of stylization and hybridization, being more of a pleasing blend of G1 and Cyberverse. I know his face was a meme for awhile, but I actually quite like his face, and I think it helps that this Optimus also has more range than “stoic old man”, so having a more stylized and expressive face really works here.

Mandroid is also a fun villain in the absence of a primary Decepticon leader atm. He is a great blend of Dr. Archevil and Circuit Breaker, and a very threatening presence we haven’t had since Dr. Morocco (and to a lesser extent Cilas). He’s not used as much as I would’ve expected to be honest, and while there’s still plenty of episodes to go, I’m surprised his ability to lobotomize Decepticons into doing his bidding isn’t played up more. He only does it once, and immediately goes into trying to harvest parts and relying on his ArachniMechs. I love the spider bots, and I enjoy that they have personality despite being mute, but it still seems odd to have Mandroid be able to control Decepticons but abandon the idea just as quickly vs easily defeated spiderbots. Still very interested to see where they take him.

I was worried Thrash and Twitch were going to be the only Terrans, but thankfully we got more in Hashtag, Jawbreaker and Nightshade. I’d say out of the bunch Twitch, Hashtag and Jawbreaker feel the most fleshed out. Twitch goes through the most development and gets the most focus, Hashtag has a very loud, excitable personality that’s hard to ignore, and Jawbreaker is a lovable dimbulb. Thrash … just kinda exists. His spotlight episode with Mo and Swindle I felt was the weakest episode, cast as the dorky, semi impulsive kid brother who doesn’t seem to grow beyond that. His relationship with Mo is very sweet, but that’s really all he has going for him and I hope that changes. When compared to his more “accomplished” sister Twitch, he has nothing… Nightshade has a similar problem, where I do like them quite a bit, but for better or worse, their only noteworthy thing is being the first non-binary Transformer in a kids cartoon, with the brief pronoun bit being held under unfortunate scrutiny by some factions. What I can glean is they’re very theatric, chipper, loyal, but also easily intimidated as Nightshade was scared of Mandroid. I hope Nightshade, like Thrash, gets better screen time and more to do so they can better prove themselves and become one of the standout characters. (I also hope they have a Beast Mode. What little is seen of their non Protoform Robot Mode implies a bat motif, but they may just be a car or jet in the end as of typing). Hashtag they clearly have the most fun with, with her bombastic personality. It looks like she may Transform into a car, which I’m not sure I like, because I liked Thrash and Twitch’s bike and drone modes as something more unique for Terrans. But I think I may have expected something else because her name is Hashtag and that has associations with phones and computers. If she were to have a Beast Mode, I would’ve leaned into a cat for LOLCAT shenanigans, lol. Her regular Robot Mode also seems a little plainer than I would’ve expected, looking like a recolor-retool of Bumblebee which gives me bad CV Lockdown vibes, but that’s me being nitpicky.

I have noticed an observation pointed out to me that EarthSpark isn’t really being talked about in any major capacity. I’d argue that it was, it’s just we only at 10 episodes and people greatly enjoyed them and already said what they needed to say. If I were to pick it apart, I feel like possibly the reason it’s not being discussed too much now is because the only “good” episodes for some are the first episode, the Soundwave episode and the “season finale”, as those seemed to be discussed at great length at the time, while the remaining episodes were just the kids and Terrans screwing around with guest characters and weren’t … as strong or memorable. All fine episodes, the Wheeljack episode is a personal fav, but I guess they’re not quite what people expect from Transformers either which feeds into lack of discussion. There’s also the TF YouTube which has been spamming streams of Robots in Disguise 2015 and Cyberverse every day, and barely advertises EarthSpark… Most of the recent clips are from Prime and Beast Wars which isn’t helping… The toys also aren’t out yet my way as of typing, so maybe having the toys out will help?

Transformers Headcanons

Bumblebee

Hugs: is always happy to give or receive one! Oh, you want him to pick you up? Sure! He feels better about being smaller now, because he doesn’t have to worry as much about crushing you.

Cheek kiss: his cheeks are actually really sensitive, so he’ll definitely squirm happily at the contact

Belly kiss: chirps happily and lets you lay on top of him if you want

Neck kiss: doesn’t know what to think at first. What does that mean in human culture?? Nonetheless, he enjoys the tingly sensation.

Kiss on the lips: is definitely shocked at first, and tries his best to match you. He’s happy when you smile at him.

Tickles: his laugh is strange to someone hearing it for the first time, as it’s rather synth-y and staticky, but he is touch-starved and craves attention like this, so he loves it.

Being complimented: oh he totally hides his face, and his antennae twitch slightly from embarrassment

Being dominant: is really gentle and cautious with his movements, more out of being unsure than anything

Being submissive: if you want a reactive sub, booyyy you got it. Anything you do to him will most likely have him being a moaning mess

Cuddles: he loves it when you sit in his lap. He thinks you look like those earth-things that humans keep as pets.

Spark touching: is really scared at first, and shies away from you when you first reach out for it, but after you convince him you won’t hurt him, you touch it and he jolts a bit at first, but then just melts into it.

Optimus Prime

Hugs: he’ll happily give you a hug if you want one. He will pick you up and gently press you to his chest, chuckling a bit and saying that he would hug you like a human, but he doesn’t want to hurt you

Cheek kiss: flushes a bit, clearly not used to the attention

Belly kiss: his mouth twitches into a small smile. He can’t help but squirm a bit. It tickles!

Neck kiss: is absolutely adorkable. He flushes darkly and asks if you are sure. When you ask him what he means, he says ‘i thought this was some kind of human mating ritual…?’. It’s too precious

Kiss on the lips: he can’t help but smile at how cute you are and he will pet your head carefully as a form of affection

Tickles: is very ticklish, and has a surprisingly wheezy laugh. It’s also quite deep. He gets confused when he sees you flustered by his laugh.

Being complimented: thanks you, and tries adorably to compliment you. It usually sounds a bit odd, but he means well.

Being dominant: is extremely careful, and focuses on pampering you and making you feel loved.

Being submissive: is very patient and helpful with you trying to figure out how he works. He will most likely wind up being more embarrassed than you though once you find out how sensitive he is...

Cuddles: will hold you in his arms like a baby and do what you like. You want your hair played with? On it.

Spark touching: is a bit reluctant, but he can’t say no to that face. His spark is brilliant and bright, and he gets flustered if you stroke it or compliment him on it.

Megatron

Hugs: growls, but puts a hand on your back in return

Cheek kiss: recoils and stutters a bit as he chews you out

Belly kiss: is more confused than angry, wondering what your fascination is with his midsection

Neck kiss: gives you a curious look, but that’s about it

Kiss on the lips: at a loss for words at first, but then flushes and turns away

Tickles: has a deep, thrumming laugh, pounding his fist on the nearest solid object as some pitiful attempt to get the sensations to stop without touching you

Being complimented: grunts and acknowledges what you said, blushing a little bit

Being dominant: is somewhat rough, and enjoys watching you squirm

Being submissive: being what? In all seriousness though, the only way he’ll be submissive is if he wants to be. Which is more often than he cares to admit, especially if you’re a gentle type, as he loves being pampered.

Cuddles: this is his main form of apology. If he scares or hurts you, you can cuddle him for a bit. Or if you’re sad. Otherwise good luck. Also he is totally not playing with your hair. Nope. you’re just imagining things.

Spark touching: says no for a long time before finally caving and letting you do it. He is surprised by how much he enjoys it.

Starscream

Hugs: thinks your trying to attack him at first. Once you explain what hugging is, he demands a ‘do-over’

Cheek kiss: gets really blushy and squeaks out a confused thanks, not knowing what else to do.

Belly kiss: he growls a bit, frightening you. That is, until you see his flustered and rather pleased expression, encouraging you to continue. He also enjoys belly rubs, though he would never outright say it.

Neck kiss: after you finish, he touches the spot you kissed and looks at you with a look of wonder

Kiss on the lips: shies away if you linger long enough. He gets flustered with personal contact.

Tickles: like his name suggests, his laugh is loud and rather infectious. If you keep it up long enough, he may even snort, which embarrasses him to no end.

Being complimented: tries to ignore it at first, refusing to face you. Once you look at his face, you’ll see tears in his eyes as he asks why you say these nice things about him. If you continue to compliment him and comfort him, he will absolutely not know what to do, opting to just sit next to you and shyly grab your hand in his.

Being dominant: is sexy and knows it. He knows just about every kink in the book, so he has got it covered.

Being submissive: is surprisingly nervous at first. As long as you are patient and encouraging, he will be more than happy to have you overpower him more often.

Cuddles: won’t say it, but he loves it when you lay on his belly. He also enjoys it when you gently stroke his wings.

Spark touching: seems almost dejected when he shows you. Once your eyes adjust, you find out why. His spark is dim and damaged. Once you touch it, it seems to flare to life, brightening up a bit. He immediately gasps at the sensation running up his spine, before he finally relaxes into it, smiling ever-so-slightly.

Soundwave

Hugs: doesn’t really care. He lets you hug him whenever you want.

Cheek kiss: nods in acknowledgement

Belly kiss: tilts head curiously

Neck kiss: seems slightly impressed at your bravery

Kiss on the lips: looks slightly amused by your attempt

Tickles: no reaction for a bit, before you can finally hear a deep, robotic chuckle emanate from him, sounding almost musical in tone. He sometimes tickles you as well, almost as if asking you to do it again.

Being complimented: a smiley face appears on his screen, but that’s about it.

Being dominant: is definitely efficient, and doesn’t even try to give himself pleasure, as he sees no real point in it.

Being submissive: but if you insist on making him feel good, he’ll actually be quite flustered. He’s mostly silent, except for the occasional grunt

Cuddles: moves his tentacles toward you, offering to wrap them around you. If you decline, he will simply let you press up to him.

Spark touching: you can actually hear him hum a bit as you play with his spark, eventually hearing him speak a little, if he feels like it. Usually saying something along the lines of ‘i am pleased’

Hugs: is surprised, and hugs back slowly

Cheek kiss: gasps, and glares at you half-heartedly

Belly kiss: jumps a bit, clearly surprised at your gentleness

Neck kiss: melts his icy demeanor instantly, instead turning him into a shy mess

Kiss on the lips: this. This is the kicker. He has no idea what to do. Kiss back, or will you think he’s weird? Don’t, but then you’ll be upset? Whatdoido

Tickles: has a smile that trumps the joy of christmas. It’s that cute. He will start speaking random gibberish while trying desperately to keep his composure, which of course won’t last very long

Being complimented: doesn’t think you’re talking to him until you say his name. Then he becomes a flustered mess

Being dominant: depending on what personality he is, you will get different treatments. Icy is gentle, hothead is rough, and random is… well, random

Being submissive: tends to switch between his personalities a lot the more pleasure he feels

Cuddles: is a little uncomfortable with it, as he doesn’t want to randomly change personalities and hurt you by accident, but he will let you snuggle up to him once in a while

Spark touching: doesn’t mind, and finds it quite relaxing
