- my interview went? really well??? like I went in at 1:30 and I was only supposed to be there for 50 minutes but my would-be boss and I wound up talking about our research for so long (she’s an ecologist, I’m a gothicist, we come from vastly different disciplines obviously) that I wound up leaving her office at 4. and she said my interview was a stand-out, and told me that if for whatever reason my grad student status didn’t let me take the job right now, there would be more positions opening up later this year, which she definitely didn’t have to do??? so idk man I’m really hopeful!!!

- MY ADVISOR SAID I DIDN’T HAVE TO TURN MY CHAPTER DRAFT IN UNTIL MONDAY, THANK FUCK 😭 I had promised to have it to him by yesterday but basically came home with no spoons left, and he swung by my office today and when I told him about my interview he was like “oh don’t sweat it, I wouldn’t be able to read it until after this weekend anyway” bless his entire heart I love him so much
