So I just came back from watching Civil War. I went through like 3 mini heart attacks during that movie by the way.

The last time I took a general audience member (my cousin) to watch the first movie in a trilogy from a popular scifi franchise (The Force Awakens) and who had never seen any of the previous movies, I KID YOU NOT they turned to me and told me that they felt something going on between Rey and Kylo. Fast forward 2 years later when the sequel came out AND THEY WERE RIGHT.

For those who don't know, 99% of the theories about Rey at the time were of her being a Skywalker, which would make Rey and Kylo related. Yet my cousin CLOCKED it. My cousin had the gift of PROPHECY.

"Don't be ridiculous. That was ONE time." I don't care. You don't understand. After that experience, I'll believe so many things at this point.

To follow up on my earlier Iba-posting, I remembered my rationale for why I think Iba can't have been a lieutenant for very long: namely the fact that Renji was the Sixth Seat of Squad 11 prior to transferring to the Sixth.

We know Yumichika doesn't want to be Fourth Seat, which is why Squad 11 doesn't have one around the time of the Soul Society Arc/Winter War, but I think one would still have to challenge him to get Fourth Seat. I assume that ranking in Squad 11 is based, at least partially, on beating the current occupant of the seat in a fight. It seems to me that Renji could have pretty easily gotten that Fourth Seat if he wanted it, and my best explanation for why he wouldn't is if he already had his eyes out the door. That is to say that I think he was already in the later stages of preparing for his Vice-Captain's Exam (or going in for his twelfth round of Squad Six vice-captain interviews, or whatever you headcanon that process looking like) at the time that Iba left.

Renji may have also not wanted to challenge Yumichika out of respect (or whatever passes for respect in Squad 11) for him. I do not think he would do this if it were say, years, but again, if he's already planning on leaving, I can see him just letting it go. I don't think this was intentional, but I think it worked to further enhance the mystique of the empty Fourth Seat Position, and explains why it stays open for years. If Renji, who goes on to become a vice-captain (and gets bankai a month later, no less), was hesitant to challenge Yumichika, I think the idea might give serious pause to the seats below. That seems like a big jump, considering the personalities that filled the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth seats.

Man, the fact that it's the 3 year anniversary of sadist's "dawn of the 16th" is crazy, that animatic is the reason why I got in the dsmp fandom in the first place... I saw the final bit with c!wilbur and c!phil and I got so intrigued by what happened that I had to know more T.T

Completing the EoH Joestar Roster and as the finale art pieces for Standswap September are Joyara and José! Also did them because i despise their first on the spot drawings in the EoH prompt :D !

José Joestar a paraplegic of Pinoy origin he moves to the USA after an accident and a family altercation that costed said legs and his career as a jockey, at first it was to waste away but as soon once the Steel Ball Run race opens he sees this as an opportunity to ‘redeem’ himself to him and later signs in with his trusty Tennessee Walker he names Tally Hall and enters the race.

On this race he meets someone of the name of Ricardo Springsteen, a man who knows about a strange technique known as the Spin and later teams up with this mysterious man who becomes both a mentor in the Spin and a close friend to him.

José is a rather bombastic man, competitive he is and one with ego and a risk taker with little regard for what happens during or after and often times a very stubborn and impatient man who wants or needs things to go his way. However under those and later into the race he still has his lines drawn and after being friends with Ricardo he evolved into a nicer if still slightly assholish person.

He uses the ACT Stand he named [ Tango in the Night ] which primarily boosts the power of Spin José wields, Ricardo suspects it to be a representation of his progression as a Spin user.

Joyara Higashikata has no idea why they’re here, only that they woke up under rocks and got found by a Koēna Haseki (Paisley Park) and that they have no idea who they are or why they’re here in the first place. After a rather awkward meet and a rush to the hospital with even a few more awkward meets they go on a quest to figure out who they are. This personal quest leads them to awaken their Stand and later be adopted into the Higashikata Family.

Just like their counterpart Joudai they too are often times very confused but unlike him they’re rather quick to adapt and tend to not be over questioning with the weird stuff that happens in Morioh. Despite their amnesia they seem to have a Lot of niche knowledge and facts in that noggin of theirs and often pulls the weirdest shit because of that. They wield a shovel as their weapon if their Stand isn’t of use.

They wield the Stand known as [ Raggin’ the Waves ] which can switch an object’s physical (or spiritual) properties of an object, something which attracts the attention of Juocha Santos for it’s abilities are similar to that of the Locacaca fruit.

However for a while little known to them they are a (literal) fusion of two beings, one Kohime Bakumoto and Josou Hojoh. One being a Joestar which explains the birthmark but as of now not much about either are known to Joyara.
