I often feel like people forget that both Shen Yuan and Shen Jiu got fucked over in the transmitgation with Shen Yuan dying and being forced to live as someone to fix that person's mistakes and Shen Jiu being forced out of his body so someone could live his life better than he did. Both of them got the shit end of the deal, that's the whole point of it, Shen Yuan may have gotten his happy ending but he'll never be his own person and he's at the mercy of the system for the rest of his life and Shen Jiu never got a happy ending but now he'll never get tortured in the most cruel ways possible and live knowing he indirectly caused the death of the person he loved the most

funniest part about the bounty hunter wars by K.W jeter is how palpatine thinks he's screwing boba fett over by hiring him to take down the bounty hunters' guild, completely ignorant to the fact that boba is a sicko who thinks making himself public enemy #1 of every bounty hunter in the galaxy sounds like the most fun he's had in ages.

it's literally like,

While learning to control his powers under the guidance of Clockwork, Danny accidentally curses his own bloodline with the Curse of Sentient Food several centuries in the past. Originally, a witch was supposed to curse his family. Oops. Well, the Fentons were always adapting, and technically, either way, he'd end up battling dino nuggets at three am in his underwear, no matter who the curse came from. So he shrugged and continued on.

Unfortunately, this also means that out of nowhere, the timeline shifted, and some of his very distant relatives are now battling their food into submission at every meal because Danny is ultimately way more powerful than some mortal witch from the 1600s. His version of the curse reached literally everyone he could ever be related to for the last few centuries. Even if they were adopted into the family!

So, returning to the present time after training, Danny is a little startled to see some news clips of people's dinners coming to life and beginning revolutions. Wow, John Fentonightingale really got around, didn't he? He felt a little uncomfortable that now all these random people had to deal with their share of Fenton luck, but from some of the interviews, everyone seemed to be handling it pretty well!

Especially his so-distant-they're-on-another-tree cousins, the Kents, who contacted his family directly, asking how best to prepare a zombie turkey. Their son was coming for Thanksgiving with his new wife and some coworkers, and they just refused to make the guests fight for their lives on a holiday!

They invited the Fentons to join them, of course.

"what's up kidnapper" and forever not believing bad (and bad lying directly to his face) and then when forever tried to hug him Bad Stepped Back. and then later tonight when bad got lassoed by tubbo and bagi, bad called to forever for help first. and bad showing forever a fake cell and forever telling him that this isn't how they get dapper back and the "you can kidnap me" and bad telling bagi that he's going to keep checking on the appreciation room because forever told him too and. they care about each other SO MUCH but they trust each other SO LITTLE. can anyone hear me look at them. look at them. they've been so dysfunctional but now they're finding something closer to an equilibrium. how long will that last. they've tried and they've failed to kill each other. holding these cubes so fucking gently and then i am putting them in a glass jar and shaking it violently.

i do think the very broad generalisation of the term media consumption and the disdain people have for it is a bit laughable. "get a real hobby" is the guy teaching me guitar through youtube not helping me do exactly that. "go outside" if i read this book under a tree will the story suddenly become more meaningful
