Going through the Lokius tag with "pie" in any field, and I have yet to encounter a fic other than mine where the pie contains drugs of any kind (hallucinogens, memory-altering, mood stabilizers, or hell even aphrodisiacs (surprising given that it's AO3 )). And like I did find some sexy times pie scene fics but they don't involve any kind of drug.
Honestly, I can't believe there's so few drugged pie fics. I've heard people say that but I had to see it to believe it. What are we doing to our youth to have them not apply classical dystopian tropes?

Petition to start a new tag on Ao3 for all future MCU fics, especially Alternative Universe fics, that reads “Not TVA Approved” or “Not Time Variance Authority Approved”. It’s what we need and deserve at this point.

Something I absolutely ADORE in the new Helluva Boss episode and am hyperfocusing on to ignore how emotionally not ok I am after watching it is how Stolas has literal motherfucking heart eyes when Blitz calls and asks him to the club. Like yeah it doesn’t work out but look at this just—
Like don’t get me wrong I love the way Moxxie and Millie’s eyes are when they’re looking at each other and it is very obviously a look of love (I’m so jealous look at them ah they’re so sweet!)
But the animators took one look at Stolas in this scene and said

Current Fic WIPs
My very fucked up Dark!Lokius fic I was inspired to write by my healthcare being tied to employment, and every chapter is inspired by me asking "How can I make this worse?"
Drugged Pie Lokius thriller fic that won't be nearly as fucked up as the other fic. And will probably be the fluffiest thing I ever write.
Disir!Sylvie Sylki dark fantasy AU where I take liberties with the comics material however the fuck I want. (Probably the first I'll post out of these).
A fic about Odin's A+ parenting regarding Loki where the A stands for atrocious, and I play with the term "spare" and how subterfuge and espionage is viewed in the 9 realms despite its necessity. Let's just say it's viewed dishonorably due to the lengths spies are expected to go for their mission, and the fact that it's dependent on deception. It'll probably be the worst I'll portray Odin's parenting because he essentially blackmails Loki into that line of work to put his talents (illusions, shapeshifting (potentially), and his charms) to use since he didn't live up to his standards.
I have some ideas for pre-cannon fics where I traumatize the fuck out of Loki, or give Thor severe anxiety from being unable to sneak like Loki did and remain constantly surveilled. Maybe I'll play with Asgard's constant surveillance. But I haven't fleshed them out properly.

what are your favorite loki ships besides valki?
I had been working on a similar post that I left on drafts, so:
Valki. I came out of the movie theater shipping them because of their fight scenes, and that they're very good foils to each other. They're antiheroes that had to do awful things to survive with a bunch of trauma. Why did the Russos have to kill my ship in such a fucked up way? D: I was DEVASTATED and have still not recovered! I'm so fucking salty over this! I've never been so salty about a ship since Zutara not being cannon!
Frostshield (I feel like this is surprising knowing me and the fact that I've only watched the first CA movie. I love Lise's "Remember This Cold" fic series; it's so good I started shipping this). Probably one of my favorite Avengers to ship Loki with. I think they both know what it's like to be perceived as weak and feel alone, but they're so different at the same time.
Nebuloki. They have so much in common! Even Karen Gillan said she would pair her character with Loki. They might have met in Sanctuary.
Frostmaster. This ship is very good for Loki whump material and I love to put Loki through the wringer (Lise's dark fics, anyone?). The GM has God-like abilities and is a convenient obstacle/torturer for that reason. And the aspect of having to pretend to enjoy torture and all the mind games is good shit.
Frosthawk. It has Dracula/Renfield vibes. Fucked up and angsty. And I will find it funny when the thrall is like "Bitch, go to sleep. Eat something!" to his master who sucks at taking care of himself. I don't really care for Clint, but this ship is good for angst and fucked up mind control dynamics, and the occassional take where the thrall is like "Bitch, have you eaten?" to his distressed Master that sucks at taking care of himself. Reminds me of that post where someone was like "Loki forced his thralls unknowingly into caring for him rather than pure obedience."
Funnily enough I've only written Lokius and Sylki so far Out of spite because there were too many domestic fluffy human AUs for those.

the only other loki fandom darkfic i have read is sylvie x kang one which was really fu#ed up and i loved it too.
it made me wonder, what kind of dynamic would suit sylki in a darkfic au? what do you think?

my first thought is that Dark Sylki would be some sort of weird possessive jealousy thing? or (and this is a thing i started writing fic about but didn't manage to actually finish it - oh no!) something where the new 'selfless' loki prioritisies sylvie's safety/happiness over everything else to a really scary degree. (like with torturing brad, i suppose.)
stuff that starts out looking normal and even 'healthy' - truly unproblematic shipping! - but then oh no they're both quite fucked up and this has not actually been fixed by the magical power of romantic love.

I get so annoyed at the comparisons of Lokius to fluffy ship Ineffable Husbands (Good Omens) because they have nothing in common. And there really should be more fic exploring the abusive dynamics of Lokius. And ok, I admit I don't like cutesy ships like Ineffable Husbands much either way, but it's such a shame Lokius has so little tasty fucked up content and most fics are boring fluff. And people like OW so much they hardly ever make Mobius the perpetrator. I've seen fics were Ravonna made them do it or another Loki (usu. President) or EVEN TVA!Loki were the perpetrators and those options just rub me the wrong way. Lokius fandom is so quick to make Ravonna irredeemable (but not pure bean Mobius) and the power imbalance is not on the favor of the Lokis (the abuse and literal torture excused from Mobius while Sylvie gets called abusive for calling Loki a clown and trying to complete her life's mission... smdh).
The main issue, I think, is that "the Discourse" is so fraught and neverending that people either hate Mobius and everything connected to him and so they won't write about him anyway or they're on the defensive and don't want to cede what they see as too much ground to hostile takes. (They're not the only ones doing this but this is today's topic and I don't want to digress as much as I usually do.) That plus - the bane of my own existence in so many fandoms tbh - if you're into something enough to identify/be seen as "a shipper" of it then you probably favour fluffier takes on that ship. Which is valid of course, etc etc, but it means there's not many fic people around who are willing to spend the necessary time and effort on Dark Lokius. I mean, I'm fairly into the idea and I still haven't (really) made any fic of it so I am Part Of The Problem myself (I do have a couple of in-theory-WIPs but I have a lot of half-written fics and they won't all get finished). With me that's partly because I fear the reader glancing at the rest of my fic in that fandom and going "oh well OF COURSE she doesn't like lokius and wants it to be Wrong and Fucked Up," even though I fuck up a lot of pairings that I am very into.
Of course with me not being into fluff generally the dominance of that genre here means I read less lokius than I otherwise would and so the problem sort of self-perpetuates.
(Side-note on Ravonna, the comics canon (such as it has been relayed to me) seems to have massively influenced fandom's takes on her because I don't think she was even all that evil on the show? You could take her "brb off to find Free Will" as her having rejected the system and planning to bring it down some other way - which indeed I did until I was told no she's just a baddy. As Mobius's superior she's presumably more awful but what we see doesn't necessarily prove that. (Also there's only 22 - 22!!! - Mobius/Ravonna fics on AO3 and I have to ask HOW THE FUCK?? because I definitely detected a vibe there and refuse to accept that nobody else did. They had a vibe!!!))
BUT I DID DIGRESS LIKE I SAID I WOULDN'T. Added to all that is that the sylki and lokius shippers have become set against each other so again nobody wants to give anyone any extra ammunition for "actually your ship sucks" takes on tumblr by spending "too much" time on the nastier subtexts.
Um... well, the tl;dr is just that varying strands of The Discourse tend to push people away from spending much or any time on the darker lokius readings and that's a damn shame because as of this moment the pairing is tagged in 3,426 fics on AO3 and I feel like that means it could easily cope with a few more stories where it's to some degree fucked up. Bring on the Stockholm Syndrome, damn it, there's more than enough fluff to make it all better with afterwards :D
