I find it completely hilarious to think after Simon was freed from the crown and got to be himself in Ooo that he and Finn have a close relationship that neither of them understand.
Finn views Simon as a fellow human, someone he saw at their lowest point and now is on the upswing and now they can be buddies and go on adventures together. He also wants to do sleepovers all the time, what a bro. Simon sure is fussy with him, like Jake sometimes is, must be because they're such good friends.
Simon meanwhile is going around to people in Ooo like 'why did you let a child/teenager live alone in a treehouse with a dog and access to weaponry while making him fight monsters?' and when no one stepped up, Simon unofficially claimed Finn as his own. He checks in regularly, goes over a brings groceries, cleans up the treehouse, educates Finn as best he can on human anatomy, culture, history as well as other stuff.
Its so obvious to everyone - especially Marcy who is laughing her ass off in the background - that the former Ice King is trying to parent Finn who doesn't get it and proceeds to friendzone the hell out of his father figure.

this is a really small and unimportant detail but i think it’s worth noting how, at the start, loid would leave his toddler daughter locked in an apartment all by herself while he attended his spy business but now he brings her with him to meetings with his boss simply because she wanted to play in the park.
progress. small… but it’s there!

You say that Ghost would be completely different to the man going off to war, but I disagree, he's exactly the same, just turning that laser focus of his from completing missions to making sure his girl and his family are getting treated perfectly. He's planning absolutely EVERYTHING, he has it all worked out from what colour to paint the nursery to the exact model of crib your baby will be sleeping in when you bring them home for the first time.
Man is prepared for any eventuality that may arise before, during, and after your pregnancy. He's got your cycle tracked on the calendar with all the optimum times for... coupling, circled with bright red marker.
(I've been so busy recently, I've only been able to catch a couple of your posts randomly throughout the last couple of days 😭😭)
Ghost only has one mode and that is intense focus. There's a big difference between Daddy Ghost and Lieutenant Ghost though. He promises himself he'll never yell at his kids, that he'll never raise a hand to them like his father did, and it makes him an incredibly gentle parent. Also a nightmare to parent alongside. He's so worried about doing something that could hurt the kid that it's hard to make him enforce rules. Sure if it's something that could end up with his baby girl hurt(staying out past curfew, winding up in the hospital after a rough footie game) he can bring the hammer down, but if it's no dessert before dinner? No snacks before bed? TV off for homework? He's hesitant to be the "bad guy" for his girls.
That said the man knows exactly what he's getting for his babies you're right about that. He has a mental registry that he's been filling out for years. Everything with different safety grades and price points, really channeling his focus into setting up for the baby he's desperate to do right by.
There's something that itches at him for the first few months playing house, reality setting in when he sees you pregnant, some desire to run to abandon ship. His father's voice nags at him that he'll never be worth the skin on his back, that he'll never be able to escape his upbringing. But as soon as that little bundle of joy is settled in Simon's arms it's like his whole world changes. They're just so tiny... He'll protect them, make sure nothing bad ever happens, be there for every scraped knee and every sniffle.
Ghost is completely unprepared for the baby to bunch up their little face and start wailing.

Luigi taking care of a Yoshi egg and Bowser walks past seeing him holding an egg cradling it like his own baby clearly warming it with his own body heat and it makes Bowser slightly feral. Accidentally turns on the baby brain. Absolutely needs to go make a nest and put his nest mate in there and have a healthy brood right now this very second. Higher thinking pft gone, only snuggle in nest and egg.

SOC drawing prompt: Kaz holding/petting a black cat. Extra detail as desired, the black cat has a white tail tip and a white horizontal slash mark on her chest.
Also, ::have a little extra dopamine on me::.
Kaz calls him “Bastard” exclusively.

Casual reminder that the local teddybear himbo is also a bloodthirsty cultist and he could be coming for you xoxo
also rest in peace Husk, I guess
Blackdragon realises he doesn't have to be beautiful to live a life surrounded by people he loves
And last but not least Dire Wolf is a child now!! She's super cute for a future psychite-dependent swamp creature, and I love her to bits. The older cultists are currently in the process of building a cozy cottagecore bedroom for the three girls to share <3

I really hate how Apollo is usually portrayed in books and movies, etc. How do you think Apollo would react to the representations of him? poor guy xdd
I read "the trials of Apollo" or something like that by Rick and well, I don't know if I'm very picky, but I didn't like it at all :(
Tbh I don't think any of the gods would have the time to read these modern adaptations of them XD that said I do enjoy those shitposts people make about gods reacting to media inspired by Greek myths.
And ah, Trials of Apollo. Started out great, and it's still great wrt to how they develop Apollo's character but I just don't like how much RR vilified Zeus, neither do I like some of the creative liberties in the story (like Harpocrates...just...why.)

hii ridia how u doing?? i was thinking a lot about that munkata and saruhiko dynamic WHERE REISI TRIES SO HARD TO BE A FATHER FIGURE for fushimi, any headcanons or thoughts to share??
Munakata is so pleased to have adopted his new child and Fushimi meanwhile has no idea why his boss is so annoying. Munakata doesn’t actually know entirely about Fushimi’s past but I imagine he must have some idea, considering Fushimi’s age and the fact that his parents don’t seem to be in the picture at all (and I do like the idea that when Fushimi joins S4 Munakata just neatly puts himself down as Fushimi’s guardian, so that there’s no bothersome red tape that might require a parental consent with Fushimi being still a minor). Therefore Munakata considers it his duty to be certain that Fushimi-kun grows up well. One headcanon I enjoy is that he’s always trying to give Fushimi candy, like Fushimi will deliver a report and Munakata gives him the usual high praise and then notes that Fushimi appears very pale and thin, here have this. He drops a blueberry candy into Fushimi’s hand as Fushimi stares at him just wholly unimpressed, like what the hell is this Captain. Munakata just keeps smiling pleasantly and Fushimi clicks his tongue and rolls his eyes, pocketing the candy (and then later as he’s working he’s sucking on it and Munakata spots him with it in his mouth, Munakata makes a note that Fushimi likes blueberry flavor and buys more).
Also I like the idea that Fushimi has no idea at all that Munakata is trying to be a parent, because in Fushimi’s mind parents are people who ignore you or terrify you and Munakata is just being annoying. Like Fushimi will be slouching like usual and Munakata idly tells him to sit up straight or his back will be sore, Fushimi rolls his eyes like you don’t have to nag me about it. Munakata wonders if it bothers Fushimi to hear such words as one might get from a parent and Fushimi looks at him blankly, like since when do parents say that kind of worthless thing. Munakata just takes that in and nods all I see, Fushimi is eyeing him suspiciously because he feels like Munakata just came to some silent decision and he doesn’t like it. Munakata pats him on the shoulder and tells him to continue to watch out for his health, Fushimi is all ‘eh?’ because why is Captain always saying all this weird worthless stuff.

Deku’s daughter gets a real bad case of “my daddy will do that” extremely young.
It starts on the playground after school, when one of her classmates is showing off how many monkey bars they can skip… and your daughter stands there with green ribbons in her hair, saying “my daddy can do that, too!”
Then you overhear her at a playdate one day, when another child is showing her the brand new Gang Orca plushie they just got. Her little voice echoes through the hall to where you and the other parents are sitting, yep… “my daddy will get me one, too!”
And then again, of course, when it’s career day at summer camp, and she doesn’t even have to beg Izuku to show up for parent presentation portion… and it’s, “look everyone, my daddy is the number one hero!”
Almost her whole life, it goes on and on like this… til eventually she’s coming home after dates as a teenager (because lord knows Deku can’t say no to her about anything, including boys) throwing her purse down on the couch and weeping because the guy didn’t bring her flowers and wanted to split the dinner bill.
And though it seems a bit ridiculous, to literally no one’s surprise, Deku’s giving her a hug and complaining right there with her.
