ive calmed down a little after a nice night's sleep bc yesterday @nohtora and me got to meet Luke and i gave him this ink drawing and he said he was going to frame it and put it in his house so i can retire now

In Carlos' attempts to get his dad to cook something other than pasta for once, he tries to find Mom's old recipe book in the attic. Instead he finds a CD and some ghosts. Which is also cool, but doesn't solve his problem.

Still, having three ghosts around is great for his Youtube Channel. Now if only Luke would stop haunting his sister, and Reggie stopped trying to defend Dad's spaghetti.

funniest example of me being mansplained to is when my coworker started explaining what the ‘production’ part of the show pipeline is to me (im an animator. i AM the production). 2nd funniest is when the same guy told me I was wrong abt whether or not a cartoon was made by luke pearson -

on a previous post @cleverclove pointed out that Luke Thompson would be a perfect actor for a malewife role, and that's absolutely true but i've been trying to figure out why that is

i think part of it is this... genuine joy so many of his characters have at being seen as an object by a pretty lady (or a pretty man). like there's a part in bridgerton where an artist lady says she needs a model and maneuvers his limbs where she wants him, and when she tilts his chin up to look at her, he smiles really big. his marc antony is so eager to be an extension of caesar's will: "caesar says do this, and it is done" he declares as simple fact.

more generally that feeling comes out as delight at any kind of positive attention - laertes holding up the gift of a wristwatch, lysander in love with the grand performance of love, benedict teasing his siblings and enjoying when they tease him right back, but also the pride of helping eloise feel better. then there's edgar following the rules exactly and anticipating the needs of those around him, and later in the rain, finding an attentive audience in lear and exchanging a hug that they both desperately need.

so yeah, it's a combination of effortless self-effacing charm, and his willingness to play a supporting role.

What might that look like!#I think Florette would be cotton candy and Luke would be a radish lol #The only real change would be the nature of their insults lol - Luke is no longer a flathead and Florette no longer a shrub #They're still both delegates and both their same heights and limbs - although I guess now Luke has feet lol #And Florette has a wrapped paper body! Y'know like a cone - what's used for cotton candy at state fairs and the like lol #It's wider than average which also makes it looser - so she can wrap and unwrap herself to act as limbs in place of the jacket I gave her #Luke gets to keep his arms tho! How unfair!#I guess the General did have arms and he was a veggie so it's not like it's unheard of #And like the Ice Cream Cone guy from the S.S.A.M. didn't have arms so! this loaf is luke! he’s my eldest - five years old & i share a birthday with him :) he got yoinked out of a neighbor’s car with his sister by my mom & the neighbor and i found him in the garage a week later bc my mom managed to keep him & leia under wraps and hidden from me for a WEEK. i still don’t know how she did it. he is picky abt cuddling but boy does he love sitting on my fucking ribs. every time. he’s also started cuddling more with me now that i’ve got my weighted blanket out - i think he likes how cool it is. also he only eats out of his food bowl and will sniff my food. most he steals is a lick of mac & cheese. (charm will steal my food if i leave it unattended, for comparison)

this little creature is charm!! she’s uh. a year. i think. maybe two next month?? she was ~6mon when i adopted her from petsmart in may 2022. historically the only cat i have ever paid for. she lost a brain cell with her leg and i love her so badly she was curled up against my chest while i was sitting against my door a while ago and bit my hand while i was petting her so i bit her back (lightly). we are also very lucky to have her bc she almost got adopted before my mom & i showed up and my mom’s car broke down the night we saw her so we had to get her the day i left the country for a study abroad. happy early 21st birthday to me i got a cat. also a little rat and a thief. i love her so badly please stop getting into fights with luke.

this goober is sunset!! there’s lore behind how we got her and the tldr of it is that she may have loosely belonged to someone else but uhhh scratches head no microchip no collar friendly cat running around at late hours free game. (there’s more context it’s just funnier like this). we got her the week before i got my job (early september) & i’ve literally no idea how old she is. had her for a week took her to the vet and got told “yeah shes either 7month or 4yr old. we don’t know.” so she’s ????? years old. also found out she was in fact NOT a boy and definitely a few weeks pregnant when we took her to the vet. my little rarity.

i do not have many pictures of this tiny screamy baby due to the fact it is LITERALLY A FEW HOURS OLD born. somewhere between 2pm-5:30pm oct. 17th 2023. it’s sunset’s baby it’s fucking adorable i can hold it in the literal palm of my hand and i will be training it to be a shoulder cat bc i miss my fucking shoulder cat. so badly. little screamy has no name and we do not know its gender quite yet considering that it is maybe 10-12hr old i also don’t really think it’s that imperative because i’m hoping it also survives its first night and sunset doesn’t accidentally crush it. but its so tiny oh my god (it will be named after some sort of star. probably polaris, dipper, corvus, or orion) it is also an only child as of 2am 10/18/23).

anyway tldr i got 3/5 cats by yoinking them off the street paid for 1 (one) at petsmart and the other was born maybe ten hours ago. so. :) also theyre my babies i will literally spam pictures of them i do not care my personal instagram is mostly cat pictures.
