#and like. it kills me that. I had this whole fckn idea for a 5+1 recently for one of my north star ships#and I got the notes all done and had the ideas and even dialogue snippets and could see the scenes#but I just. could never make myself get farther than the notes. ever. I couldn't ever get to actually writing it. at all. ever.#and now I've been sick & bedridden for a literal week and I still haven't done ANYTHING with it#before I would have worked on it! I would have worked non stop! I literally cannot be out of bed for longer than 15 minutes#I would have written another 10 chapter idiots to lovers with a whole intricate plot to weave a romance around#that no one asked for#but now#nothing.#to be fair to myself tho I have been so sick I couldn't even activate my new giga pet#I had to quit playing sims cause I got so sick I couldn't go to my desk. the show I was looking forward to debuted and I can't watch it#cause I'm just fuckin dead. wanted to get the new t0mb raider re-release but I'm so sick I couldn't play it#but it's killing me that I can't make myself write. it is like. why won't you do this? you LIKE this? this was once ur fave hobby!#and I'm just also very tired of being confined to bed for a week and I'm going a little nutty can you tell???#erin explains it all

there's a good example for this whole age "discourse" thing. say it wasn't kpop but rather some disney star, let's go with miley cyrus when she was doing hannah montana, she was 13-18 when she was doing that show, a show that was crearly meant for an audience of a similar age, so if any adult was investing any big amount of time of that it did raise some eyebrows because why are you watching a show that is meant for kids when there's content made for you (there's a lot of nuance within that as well but still). sure you could've enjoyed the songs, maybe watch the show with a kid from your family but you never invested any more time on it besides that because you were not the target audience. the difference with kpop is that they're putting kids of the same age range miley was when doing that show, but the target audience is not the same, it's adults, it's whoever wants to consume kpop, so at surface it seems like there is not any issues with it because, hey, if i'm the target audience why can't i enjoy this? why can't i spend my day enjoying this content made by teenagers even if i'm an adult? if you take all the context out it's odd no matter how you put it. "but context matters!!!!" sure, it does, but shouldn't the safety of the teenagers matter more? shouldn't we be more worried about why these companies keep debuting younger and younger kids instead of if we're being accused of being a weirdo? like ask yourself why is it weird to possibly like a disney show but not weird to like a kpop group with teens the same age as the disney star as an adult
#hope this makes sense lmao#it's not that you can't enjoy music when you have a big age gap#hell my mom loves michaelbuble and they basically have a 20 years gap but she has never been Invested in him#but it's how you're invested how you interact with the content#the issue with kpop and debuting teens is that they're being treated and judged as if they were adults#when they're not#none of the nj girls are going to school. the youngest is 15 that shit is not ok#and if we keep supporting stuff like that it's only going to get worse#there's also the whole thing with how fast people are moving on from groups too so like#are you all gonna drop them as soon as the new hot thing arrives? that's a whole another conversation#but the new hot thing always tends to be youngers fresher and all that jazz#idk food for thought. kept thinking about the dísney example because yeah if someone was a little to invested in a show when they were adul#it was kinda weird ngl#b.txt

watched the new jeans lolla performance and CHEESED through literally every second of it!!! congrats to the funnest cutest sweetest baby girls on an excellent american debut
#they were SOOOOOOOOO sweet!!!!!!!!#danielle and hanni are definitely the stand outs in the group in terms of stage presence and live vocals#they’re super outgoing and looked like they were having the time of their lives#the two youngest ones were definitely the quietest and most reserved but they’re also like….15? 16? so understandible to be a little nervous#playing lolla in a foreign country when you only debuted a year ago#but they were all still great!#my two issues with it:#they should’ve kept hand mics through the entire performance#they all had issues with the face mics and i feel like the hand mics weren’t restricting their dancing THAT much#and secondly they should’ve lowered the backing tracks#even if the two youngest weren’t singing loudly enough#the backing tracks were SO loud that sometimes you couldn’t hear dani even when she was purposefully#holding the face mic closer to her face so that she could be heard#honestly those are mild notes and as a whole the entire thing was so FUN that it didn’t really even matter#i did not have a bias before this set but I absolutely do now and it’s hanni#but danielle is a close second!!! love the loud girlies!!!!#once again congrats to the girlies so sweet love them so much#text#debating watching the txt one but i do not know them or their music even a little bit
