Tanizaki Junichirou x Tachihara Michizou
Tattoo parlor x Flower shop AU, meeting, fluff
Junichirou was a very simple person.
He loved his sister, his friends and his job.
He was a florist for one of the best flower shops in town.
Junichirou was currently working on a arrangement for one of their frequent customers. It was a old man that came by every week or so to get a small arrangement for his wife. They had been together for over 50 years now.
The redhead smiled down at the arrangement he just finished.
Their relationship is so sweet...I wish I could have that...
“Tanizaki! You’re back here, right?“
The man in question turned around to see his best friend Atsushi waving at him from the front of the shop.
The redhead nodded and walked out of the back room to the front the shop.
It wasn’t the biggest size wise and it was stacked with plants but it felt as much as home as the little apartment he and Naomi lived in.
„Aku is taking me out on a date. Could you cover my shift for today? Only if you're finished of course!“
„Sure thing, Atsushi! Don’t worry you’ll be fine!“
“Thanks you’re the best!“ the white haired boy then vanished into the back with a big smile on his face.
The older of the two looked at the closing door with a soft smile.
He had sadly been on the receiving end of most of his coworkers rants about this guy he constantly butted heads with but still somehow thought was kind of cute. It actually hadn't been that long ago when Atsushi had finally mastered the courage to ask Akutagawa out.
Junichirou was happy for him (also maybe because he wouldn't get random 3am calls of Atsushi screaming about said boy anymore...hopefully).
Since it was the late afternoon the shift didn't have many customers.
There was the old man coming to get his arrangement, a young man buying the classic (roses), a bride that came to check up on a few things and a mother and her little daughter who bought a couple of single flowers.
Junichirou helped them all and then sat back just scrolling on his phone.
He was just looking at the clock and realizing he should slowly start to close the shop, when the little bell above the stores door jingled.
The florist looked up to see a man standing slightly awkward in the door.
...a very handsome man.
He was around Junichirou's hight, with red hair some shades darker than Junichirou. The man wore a cropped green jaket and a white V-neck shirt as well as...a band aid on his nose?
Wierd fashion choice...b ut it doese look good on him.
He'd look good in everything.
Jun we don't even know his name!
I'm just saying!
Junichirou shook his head to get rid of his thoughts as he put on a smile again.
"May I help you?"
The man jumped a little but then went up to the desk at which the other redhead was sitting.
"Uh yeah. I think you can." Junicirou chuckled. "And how?"
The man rolled his eyes but his cheeks were tinted a light pink.
"I just need an arrangement for the front window of the place I work at." "Oh so you can say stuff that makes sense!"
Junichirou was usually not like this, especially to customers. He didn't know what it was about this guy that made it so easy for him to tease and joke but if he was honest...he liked it.
The redhead in front of him snorted and raised an eyebrow.
"So now that we've established that-" Junichirou stood up and grabbed his notebook and pen. "-what's the style you're going for?"
"Well it's a tattoo shop-" "The one down the street?" "-Uh yeah. Do you know it?"
The florist tapped his pen on the notebook.
"Yeah my coworkers boyfriend works there..." ,he mumbled as he walked over to some of the flowers in he coner that might be of intrest for the man.
"Oh-um well then if you've been there before you should know what type of aesthetic, I guess, we are going for, right?"
Junichirou hummed.
"'kay so I have some ideas. The thing is just you came very shortly before closing and frankly I have a sister at home that will beat the shit out of me if I'm not back on time so-"
The redhead went into the back to get his bag.
"_don't worry I'll have the arrangement finished tomorrow at noon. I'll just need you to write down your name and if you want it to be brought to the shop of course where the shop is. Please make it fast I can't be late."
The taller man in front of him looked slightly speachless but then seemed to regain his mind because he started writing the information down on the pice of paper JUnichirou had given him.
Tachihara Michizou, huh?
I'll remeber that...
Tachihara seemed to linger for a few seconds too long until he then turned around and walked to the shops door.
"Oh yeah by the way."
JUnichirou looked back up.
"You look cute." ,he winked. "Well see ya sometime, Red!"
JUnichirou just looked at the door closing with his mouth open.
"Wha-what the fuck just happned?!"
Honestly Junichirou was just confused.
He walked the short way to his and Naomi’s apartment without paying attention to anyrhing, nearly getting hit by a car.
He was so distracted that even completely ignored his sister who jumped to hug him the second he opened the door, which wasn’t good.
“Hey! Are you ignoring me?!“
“H-huh? Oh! Sorry Naomi!“
“Something must have happned at work today.“ the redhead could feel his cheeks heating up. „So I’m right!“
“Yeah ok ok you’re right.“ Junichirou walked around his sister into the kitchen, where he opened the cupboard to get out two bowls.
“So tell me!“
„You‘re a noisy one, aren’t you?“ „Hey! Don’t be mean to your adorable little sister!“
The siblings sat down as the water started to boil.
There was a comfortable silence between them even if Junichirou could practically feel Naomi‘s questions floating in the air.
“Ok it has to do with a customer.“ Naomi gave the happy little squeak she always gave when he told her, as she called it, „The tea“ from work.
“So I was just about to close where this guy came in.“ his sister seemed to visibly get even more intrigued.
„He was like really handsome. He was tall, had red hair, intense eyes and I’m pretty sure he wore eyeliner. He had an interesting fashion style and had a bunch of tattoos, because he works at the tattoo parlor Atsushi‘s boyfriend also works at.“
Naomi hummed with a smirk on her lips, as she held her head in her hands.
“Well he walked in last minute and asked for an arrangement for the front of their parlor. And of course I was like: „sure I’ll do it. It’ll be done by tomorrow just give me the name of the place and I’ll deliver it“, right?“ Naomi nodded.
“And everything is fine everything is normal.“ his sister raised an eyebrow. „Ok normal with a little bit more blushing.“
“Anyway! He walks out but just before he leaves he turns around to me and says, and I quote: „You look cute.“ and then he winked at me and left!“
The black haired girl in front of him gasped. „He winked?! No he didn’t!“ „Yes he did!“ „Oh god!“
The water was finally done boiling so Junichirou stood up to get it and finish their dinner.
“Well he seems to like you. Wait- did you get his name?“ „Uh- yeah I did. I need it for the delivery and everything, remember?“ „Yeah yeah. So what is it?“ „Tachihara…Michizou Tachihara.“
Even if Junichirou didn’t like the expression on his sisters face he just ignored it and sat down in front of her with the food.
„Good Morning Jun!“
„AHH Oh god Naomi don’t scare me like that!“
“Yeah yeah whatever. Come on I need to show you something!“
„Wait don’t I need to go to-wait it’s 6am. What the fuck Are you doing awake?“ „Pssst!“
Naomi basically ran through their small apartment dragging a very tried Junichirou behind her.
On the small couch the siblings own sat a girl with red glasses, long brown hair and tried looking green eyes.
Haruno, his sisters girlfriend.
„Good morning Haruno.“ „Good Morning Junichirou“, she said giving him a small smile. They suffered together by the hands of the one, Naomi Tanizaki.
“We found something out. Sit down.“ The black haired girl grabbed to open laptop sitting on the table in front of the couch.
With „we“ she probably mean Haruno, and she was just cuddling her half the time…
“Michizou Tachihara, 22 years of age, Tattoo artist. He’s currently single and a bisexual. He has been working at Port tattoo for about 2 or 3 years, not sure about that one. He’s pretty good friends with someone called Gin Akutagawa, but don’t worry they have a girlfriend.“
“Also before you ask: yes Gin is related to Atsushi‘s boyfriend. They are siblings“, Naomi‘s girlfriend piped up.
Junichirou was just stunned.
“Wha-what? When? How? Did you guys even sleep?!“
“No we did not but that is not important! What’s important is that we now know that he is single and probably attracted to you.“
He had no words.
Junichirou was distracted again.
He was just working on an arrangement for a handsome bisexual guy who told him he looked cute…
What the actual fuck?!
He took a step back.
The arrangement was beautiful, one of his best works he’d say.
A lot of dark blues and purples.
The hyacinths blending beautifully with the cornflowers. Just all in all pretty.
Sure he thought it was kind of embarrassing adding the cornflowers, he knew a lot about flower language after all but most of his customers didn’t really care especially for these types of jobs so the redhead bushed those thoughts to the back of his head.
Junichirou took a deep breath.
Lets do this!
Be confident!
He took the arrangement.
The walk wasn’t going to be long so it was fine for him to just carry it.
“Ok I’m off, Atsushi! See you in a bit!“ „Yeah sure thing, Tani!“
The walk to the tattoo parlor was blurr and now he was standing in front of it.
Oh fucking god-
Deep breaths Junichirou
Deep breaths
And he walked in.
“Hello how can I help you?“
The woman at the front was a little older than him, had blond hair that she had in a bun and had warm brown eyes. She looked nice.
“Uh I need to talk to uhm Tachihara?“
She eyed him a little bit visibly inspecting the vase in his hand.
She gave him a smirk.
“Yeah he should be free I’ll tell him.“
“Thank you…“
He had only ever been in here once. He had to wait in the front room as Atsushi and Akutagawa were at each other’s throats agin. Oh how happy he was they were dating now. Less fighting…less.
The place looked nice though.
Even if it had a rather cool color palette with a lot of blues, purples and blacks it still seemed very cozy and the seats were the softest things Junichirou‘s ass had ever touched.
Some of the work by the artist that worked here was displayed on the walls. These people were so goddamm talented.

ALSO IF YOU WANT TO BE ADDED TO MY GENERAL TAGLIST SEND ME AN ASK!
Your wedding day. A day for you and the one you pledge yourself to for life. However with that also comes a hell of a lot of stress, wedding day jitters and just general nervousness. You were currently feeling all of these emotions as you sat as still as you possibly could on a chair while a makeup artist worked on your face. Having not gotten much sleep the night before she was furiously concealing under your eyes.
‘I thought they tell brides to get their beauty sleep the night before their wedding,’ she angrily states as she pounds at your under eye with a beauty blender.
‘Yeah they do, but i had trouble sleeping…’ Chuckling nervously as you remember the events from last night, biting your lip lightly.
‘Anyway I'm sure everyone has trouble sleeping the night before their wedding, it's nerve wracking you know’ You shake away the previous thoughts in your head as you speak.
‘I wouldn’t know i have never been married’ As she said this you suddenly began to feel awkward as you let her finish your makeup.
Sitting back in your seat the makeup artist holds up a mirror so you can see the finished result. Your skin looks flawless, like it had been photoshopped almost, not a slight line in sight. The bags under your eyes, completely gone. The eyeshadow she had gone for was a red/pink smokey eye, complimented by a pair of gorgeous lashes and winged liner. Your breath caught in the back of your throat as you looked yourself over, you were sure this was the best you had ever looked in your life.
‘Well don’t you look ready to be wed’ Oikawa pointed out as he walked in, a big smile adorning his features. He looked more handsome than usual, wearing a navy blue tux and waistcoat with a golden tie.
‘Says you… I love the tie…’ You smiled as he straightened it and did a pose, before making his way over to you, carding his hand through your hair.
‘Well i’m glad you chose gold and white for the theme, i think gold is my colour’
‘Yeah I agree, have you got any idea what you want to do with my hair’ You ask him curiously. Last year he had revealed he was quite good at styling hair, and you thought why not save yourself some money, letting him do yours for your wedding.
‘I actually have the perfect style in mind [y/n]-chan! Don’t worry about a thing!’ As he started to run a brush through it, he sighed deeply. Closing your eyes due to the relaxing feeling, he must have realised you were most likely nervous. Which you definitely were.
‘While I'm doing your hair, spill everything’ He almost demanded, but you were thankful, the next 40 minutes you told him everything.
How you were worried you would regret it, even though you loved Iwaizumi with all your heart, marriage is a big thing. Maybe you should have waited? Most marriages end in divorce, what if you and him are in that percentage. What if you tripped down the aisle and embarrassed yourself? Let's put it this way… there were a lot of what ifs. Oikawa did his best to calm you down, and reassure you and surprisingly he was good at it.
By the time he had finished your hair you were feeling a lot more relaxed. The style he had chosen was pinned up at the front, with small gold flowers at either side transitioning from your hair to the veil perfectly. However he had left the back and bottom sides out so they flowed over your shoulders and down your back, in perfect corkscrew curls.
‘It’s...It’s stunning Tooru…’ You smiled wide as you looked at the style, it worked perfectly with your dress.
‘Well I got to make sure my best friend's fiance looks amazing for their wedding, don’t you think?’ He returned your smile, admiring his work.
‘I’m glad Hajime has you… even though he aggressively shows it, he really appreciates you. Now go before you make me cry and ruin my makeup…’ Trying to control the floodgates that almost opened, you gave him a soft smile as he left.
Taking a deep breath, you got up from the chair that had been your home for the last couple of hours. Slowly making your way over to the full length mirror you finally got to look at yourself, all elements finally coming together. It took everything in you not to cry, you had really picked the perfect dress. Lacey full length sleeves that stopped at your shoulder, before curving their way into the dress, leaving your chest and collar bone area exposed. As you looked down, the way the soft white material hugged your hips before poofing out slightly over your bum, made your heart warm. The length itself wasn’t overly long, just enough to scrape the floor, but not enough to be picked up. It was your dream wedding dress.
This is when it hit. You were marrying the love of your life in the next 10 minutes. Hajime. Your very reason for existence will be standing at the end of the aisle waiting. This one thought made your heart beat out your ribcage, he will be there waiting as always. He was always so patient, always understanding. People just saw him as cold, and incapable of complex emotions, but you saw the real him. He let you in.
It was then that you heard a gentle knock at the door, your dad. You had a short conversation before he linked arms with you. Handing you a beautiful bouquet, to hold as you walked down the aisle. Leaving the room it was a short walk down the corridor to a set of double doors. The bridesmaids had already walked down, everyone was where they should be. It was finally time, your veil softly placed over your head as the doors were opened.
Walking through the double doors everything went in slow motion. The aisle and room were decorated with navy hangings and golden ribbons. Each chair had a white lace covering, with golden flowers to accent. As you admired the room, your eyes finally met his. Your breath hitching, he looked handsome as ever. His navy tux matching Oikawas, however, his tie was white with golden flowers embroidered on, smiling so brightly he could light up a room. Suddenly all your worries and fears disappeared and all you could think about was him, and how this was the right decision.
As you reached the end of the aisle, you handed the bouquet over to your maid of honor. Before your father handed you over to Hajime, telling him to look after you. Smiling at him brightly you could see the tears slightly welling in his eyes, making you follow suit. You couldn’t cry though, not yet.
‘You look beautiful [y/n]...’ He whispers in your ear as you walk up to the vicar, making you blush lightly.
‘And you look dashing Hajime’ Returning his compliment you notice a slight perk in his lips.
That's when the ceremony began, the vicar saying everything he had to say, then came vows. The bit you were almost dreading, you had memorised everything you wanted to say to him. But when he looked you in the eyes, would you be able to recite it? Slowly but surely the time came, Hajime went first.
‘[y/n]... Since I saw you across the hall that one school day, I knew I had to make you mine. Since the faithful first date, to the many days that followed, I fell deeply in love with you. After that I knew this was it, you were the one I wanted to have all my firsts with. I’m so glad you let me experience them with you, and now standing here with you. I want to let you know how much I care, I hope you will have me. So being here with you right now, I promise to love you for you, I promise to cherish and protect you.In sickness and health. Forever and always. I love you [y/n]. Till death do us part.’
His tears had slowly manifested themselves throughout his beautiful vow, and yours had started slowly falling down your face as well. He really was someone you wanted to be with forever, your heart felt so full as you took a deep breath and started your vows.
‘Hajime… I knew from the first date we went on, when you took me to the little coffee shop in town. I knew that I wanted to be with you for a long time, did i predict i would marry you? No, I don’t think anyone thinks about that at that age, however being up here with you now I know I made the right decision. I love you with all my heart, and I promise to be spontaneous, to cherish all the time we have together. I promise to dream with you and always be your biggest fan, till death do us part. I love you Hajime, forever and always.’
By the time you had finished reciting your vows, you were sobbing. This was it. It was you and him now against the world. Smiling through your tears you noticed he was crying just as much as you were. Meant to be. Made for each other. Soulmates. That's what your friends had said, and as you both stood with each other you realised they were right.
Slipping your wedding bands on you couldn’t help get lost in your thoughts. The future seemed so bright with him by your side. So much to experience and he would be with you every step of the way. Looking up at him he lifted your veil, seeing your slightly smudged makeup due to the tears he couldn’t help but smile.
‘You may now kiss the bride’ The vicar stated as he finished off the ceremony. You looked up at Hajime but you couldn’t wait too long before pressing your lips onto his, in a passionate kiss. Letting all your emotions that you felt drain into it, you could feel him smiling against your lips as he did the same. You couldn’t wait for a future with him. Forever and always.

The Parent Trap - Chapter 1
Tumblr media
This lovely art piece was done by @sanderssidestrash27 !!! You guys should definitely give them a good compliment for it, I love it!!!
So here's the first chapter, sorry it took so long adjjaajasndj but I really hope you guys like it! Lemme know what you think!!!!! Also lemme know if you wanna be added or removed from the taglist!! (There are probably a lot of editing mistakes sorry bout those!!!!)
They didn't mean to fall in love. It just sort of happened.
Patton James was all alone, perched over the side of the large cruise boat watching the dark waves below him pass by. He thought it was beautiful, the way the waves were able to reflect the bright moon lingering above him in the clouy sky. By day, the view from the boat was absolutely gorgeous. But at night, it was stunning. Awfully hypnotic, even. He kept getting lost in the view, barely able to keep his eyes off of it.
A certain other man was also having trouble keeping his eyes off a rather beautiful view.
Janus Parker was all alone, perched awkwardly a feet away from a particularly quiet sir. He thought the man was beautiful. Golden locks of fluffy hair tucked behind his ears. A flowy, pastel blue button down tucked into pastel yellow pants with thin white vertical stripes. He certainly looked out of place. Every other man on the cruise had black slacks with a black overcoat and a normal button down, or at least something of the sort. Janus himself was dawned on black slacls, a yellow button down and a black overcoat. Janus had noticed the man wearing a white overcoat through small glances at him in the party hall but looking around now he couldn't seem to spot it. And with the cold water coming up the side of the boat in sprays in the chilly breeze all around, the lack of attire seemed to leave the other man rubbing his arms. The flowy material of his shirt couldn't have been much help, either. Still, with the odd sense of fashion and the state the other man was in, Janus thought he was stunning. Hypnotic, even.
Yet there he stood, watching the other man shivering in his shoes. He didn't even know what the man's name was that he had been watching all night. Hell, the man he was watching didn't know Jamie's either, let alone that he had been watching him! Oh boy, any unlucky person to walk by would think he was some creep or something! But he just couldn't being himself to make a move, to walk over and at least say hello. He felt like a coward the way he had been staring from afar all this time. Usually Janus was suave and charming, flirtatious even. But looking at this man, this gorgeous, lovely man, Janus was at a loss for words. No matter how hard he willed his legs to me forward, his feet to just go one after another, he just couldn't do it. He was just so nervous. No, no, scratch that. He wasn't just nervous, no, Janus was scared shitless. Now that was to say the least. This gorgeous man stood only a few feet away from him, shi Bering and alone, yet he was scared shitless.
Janus sighed. If he wasn't going to even try and go up to the man, what was the point of standing around like some creep all night? It's not like he had anything better to do, he was here in the cruise all by himself. But still, he should do something better with his time, at least try to enjoy the few days on the boat. He was sure he could find something to do with himself that didn't involve stalking after some stranger. He lingered for only a minute longer before deciding that it was time to go. But just as he we about to turn and walk off, a small voice cracked through the quiet of the night.
"Are you just going to stand there staring at me while I freeze to death or are you going to offer me that jacket of yours? I mean I'm not getting any younger over here, " the man asked with a smirk. Janus startled at the unexpected question, even more so at how sly the man sounded when he asked it. But would you look at that, despite the obvious open invitation, Janus just stood there like a bumbling idiot. His cheeks were most definitely flushed a dark red and his eyes were blown wide as he continued to stand stiff in his place. When the other didn't hear a response from the flustered man, he turned his head to look over his shoulder and directly into Janus' s eyes.
God. Damn.
If Janus thought this man was gorgeous from a few glances and a side profile, then whooo boy. The man just had a certain look to him. There was a mischievous glint deep in his eyes, in his big, gorgeous blue eyes, that paired nicely with his little smirk. His hair was completely out of his face, giving Janus a full view.Even with only the moonlight to shine upon the other, Janus could tell he was drop dead gorgeous. And with the way Janus looked at the moment, the other thought he just about might drop dead right there. He looked like a fish with his mouth hanging open like that, a bright red fish apparently with his flushed red cheeks.
He shook his head in an attempt to regain his composure. Soon his red cheeks were only slightly tinted pink, along with the tips of his ears. His lips formed into a smirk.
"Where are my manners?" Janus said, walking over to the side of the man. He shrugged his overcoat off of his shoulders and was met with a chilled breeze.
Janus leaned down to the shorter man to place the overcoat on his shoulders, but not before stealing a closer glance into his bright, sky colored eyes. He almost melted the second the piece of attire was layed on him.
"That cold now, are we?" Janus chuckled. He adjusted himself to match the other's position, with his forearms laying on the edge of the boat and leaning forward. He tried his hardest to look cool and charming as he turned his head to look at the other.
"Well, I've been standing out here waiting for this jacket of yours for God knows how long, actually I'm surprised I'm not a popsicle yet, " he laughed. He turned towards Janus, who looked utterly baffled by the man's words.
"But-but you has a jacket inside, in the ballroom, I saw it. I mean not in a creepy way, I mean it's not like I was watching you I was just-I mean yeah technically I was but it's just because you're so awfully cute-no wait I didn't mean to say that! Not that you're not cute because wow you're really cute and where's your jacket?" Janus stumbled , eventually getting out at least something close to comprehensible. He looked everywhere but at the man, who he could hear laughing beside him. When he finally looked over at the amused man, he saw him with one hand covering his beaming grin and the other pointing downwards. Slowly, Janus turned his head and peered over the side of the cruise. And would you look at that, floating right there in the water was the white overcoat. Realization of hit him all at once and busted out laughing.
"You did not throw your jacket overboard just so that I would give you mine," Janus snorted.
"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't. Guess we'll never know." The two laughed together for a little while longer before falling into a short quiet.
"Sooooo," the man started, "What's the "J" on this jacket of yours stand for?" Janus looked over to see the other man fiddling with the sewed on letter.
"Janus. Janus Parker," he said. "and who may be the lovely man wearing my jacket? " he inched just slightly closer to the man, trying to look charming as ever.
"Patton. Patton James."
"My, what a lovely name you've got there Patton."
"Thank you, Janus. I got it for my birthday. " The joke left Janus giggling with Patton soon f following the action.
"Handsome and funny. Well, Mr. James, would you care to join me for a bottle of wine?"
"What kind?" Patton asked, ever the tease.
"Only the finest chardonnay."
"It's a date."
"How about we make it a little more than a date?" Janus asked nervously.
"Deal."
That's how it all started, in the side of the Queen Elizabeth the 2 on a rather chilly night. With two secret love birds. With a midnight black jacket on pastel clad shoulders. With a bottle of wine. With a paper and pen. With two signatures. With two "I do's". With a kiss.
They didn't mean to fall in love. It just sort of happened. But you can be certain that it wouldn't be the last time.

Yin and Yang
Tumblr media
An: Finally finished!!! Since it's this cuties birthday still in my country, I wanted to get it done and post it today. Happy Birthday handsome❣
Genre: Flufffffff
Pairing: Sehun x Reader
Warnings: none
Word Count: 2.4k +
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The stories say on your 17th birthday, you're one step closer to finding your soulmate. You will begin to notice a tattoo take its form and only your soulmate possesses the copy. They can range from any size, color, and pattern, and could possibly change once you have met them but that case is very rare. It's become much easier as the years go on and social media becomes more popular, pictures are uploaded 24/7 making the search a bit more bearable. Then there are people like me that choose to let time take its course. Believe me, I get curious every once and a while but I'm not in any hurry. The day I turned 17 wasn't a day I was looking forward to. All everyone seems to care about anymore is finding their special person but there is so much more to live for. I was actually very pleased with my piece though. Yin and Yang. Dark and light. Simple, yes, but my light carried thin brush strokes of crimson and tangerine, while my dark looked like a messy brush stroke as if the zigzag scribbles were enough to cover the Yin next to the Yang. Messy, but simple, it fit me.
As the next few years go on, all my friends have found their S/O after hours of browsing the web, I, on the other hand, have traveled around the world, adding a new tattoo to commemorate my adventures. I saunter down the hall of my apartment towards my front door, making sure I have everything I need.
"Headphones, check. Wallet, check. Water, check. Keys...." I look towards the wall by the front door and grab them from their place on the hook. "Check." I slip on my shoes then head out the door, skipping through the lobby and out the main doors.
Today marks a year since I've moved to South Korea. I wanted a big new change in my life and this vibrant and alive city was calling out my name. From the culture to the food, the sights, to the loving. I decided to get the skyline of the city in a small celebration for this special anniversary. About 6 months ago, a new tattoo/piercing shop opened several blocks into the city, INKredible Tattoos and I've heard nothing but incredible reviews about them. I took a liking to their portfolios and decided I wanted to have them be a part of my adventure piece on my arm. I've made it a goal that I always find a new artist to add to the sleeve piece on my left arm, also adding two decently sized pieces on each thigh and a four leaf clover behind my right ear. My sleeve consists of all the places I've been to, my biggest achievements, my relationships with family and friends, all framing my soulmate tattoo.
Passing the apartment buildings of various colors and structures, the tattoo shop comes into sight, a maroon awning shading the entrance and music playing from the speaker. The bell chimes as I walk into the air-conditioned lobby. The walls are painted the same maroon with gold flakes scattered, mahogany polished flooring with black leather sofas for seating. What caught my eye though was the espresso tinted irises looking in my direction.
"Ah, welcome to INKredible Tattoos. How can I help you today?" The man stepped out from behind the glass case, my eyes falling to the way his dark blue jeans hugged his gorgeously thick thighs. Words got stuck in my throat as the sunlight from the window lit up his profile, showing his sharp jawline and deep set features. His thick chocolate locks fell onto his forehead as he extended his hand out to mine. His olive green t-shirt gripping his biceps,
"I'm sorry, my name is Dean, I'm the owner of this shop."
"Y/N. Pleasure to meet you." My eyes still fixated on his features, a chuckle escaping past his lips.
"The pleasure is mine. What were you thinking about getting today hun?"
"Well, I was thinking about getting the skyline of Seoul on my left arm here by my shou— "
"Dean!" A voice yelled, "Did you happen to—oh..." Another guy appeared in my vision, one that is a little more eccentric than Dean. His black teal tinted curls bounced as he took the space next to Dean, mahogany vortexes took me by surprise, just as much as the silver ball of his labret piercing, "What's a cute girl like you doing in a place like this? Thinking about getting a piercing from the one and only me?" He pointed at himself, my eyes catching the sling of his chest peeking out of his semi buttoned-up red, blue, and white shirt.
"Knock it off Mino, she's here for a tattoo." Dean hissed and Mino slid his hands into his dark jeans. His plush pink lips formed a pout that seemed too cute for his sultry features. I chuckle from his reaction, easing the tension, a slight smirk making itself apparent in the corner of Mino's lips.
"Hey Christian! We have a new canvas!" Mino gruffed and a guy with curly obsidian hair made his way down the hall. Clinging to his body was a gray short sleeved button down shirt, accentuating his muscular biceps, black ink art spilling down his left arm.
"Is that so, what made you decide to come here?" His thick Australian accent stunned me as he approached me, his warm skin soaked in the sunlight as well as his caramel irises turning a warm honey.
"6 months ago I heard the buzz about your shop from a friend so I decided to check out your website and admired everyone's portfolios. The different techniques from each of you are outstanding, but one in particular really captured my interest. I believe his name is Oh Sehun."
"Well, you happen to be in luck today, he's in the back room." As I followed Christian down the hall, bright red hair caught my attention. My feet stopped at one of the rooms, my eyes viewing the tattoo artist; his eyes focused on the customer's piece, the buzz of the tattoo machine at work. He pulled away from the skin, his hand grabbing the clean paper towel from his slender leg. His maroon sleeves are pushed up, showing the ink on his arm; I leaned against the door frame trying to see his features, but his red hair blocked them, "Y/N, what are you waiting for?" Christian's voice bringing me back to reality, my feet pulling me from the door to a few rooms further, "Get your guns ready, master. You've got an admirer." Christian moved to the side of the door to let me by. My heart stopped as my eyes fell on to the man sitting in the chair. His dark almond irises met with mine, the words I tried to speak stuck in my throat.
"Awesome, what'sypur name love?"
"Y/N." Even his voice has me weak. He rolled back in his chair, his shirt revealing his toned chest making my heart race,
”Go ahead and sit in the chair for me." His eyes watched me, his soft brown hair falling into his face, "What are we thinking about creating today?"
“The skyline of Seoul. I wanted to get a piece to commemorate a whole year here. It's an early birthday gift for myself and I figured now was better than never."
"We going with the black silhouette?"He rolls over in the chair next to me, the close presence sending a chill down my spine. What has come over me?
"Yes, I was thinking about getting it right here by my shoulder."
"Alright. I'm going to trace out the stencil and place it to see if you like the spot." Sehun saunters over to the light table, giving light instructions to Christian to get the necessary equipment ready. My eyes can't help but wander around the room, Sehun's work framed on the walls, his technique so effortless. My gaze lands back on Sehun at the table, his honey-like skin glowing under the soft lighting from the table.
"He's stunning isn't he?" Christian lightly whispered causing me to jump a bit in my seat.
"What? I mean...I wasn't..?"
"It’s okay love, most clients end up staring at one point or another after walking through the door." He winked with a light smirk he wondered over to Sehun to let him know the station was ready to go.
"How does this look?" Sehun rolls over to me with the stencil in hand, a black silhouette of the skyline of Seoul perfectly etched out on the tracing paper with carbon ink.
"Perfect, it's exactly what I want."
"Excellent, I'll just place it to get the right spot then we'll get started." His soft smile had my heart skipping a beat, his hands gently laid the paper against my left arm just below my shoulder at the top of my inked sleeve. His digits brushing over my skin with a feather-like touch while smoothing out the edges of the paper.
"Still looking good?" I looked into the hand mirror he held up so I can view the placement, nodding to let him know it was great where it was,
"Let's get started then, Christian you mind helping Dean out for right now since this shouldn't take too long." Christian saluted for his departure, closing the door on the way out. One of my favorite sounds fills the room as the tattoo gun comes to life, "So what's your story behind your sleeve love?"
"I have this goal for myself actually. I try to go on adventures and try new things as much as I can, when I accomplish this, I add a new piece to my sleeve. I've been adventuring since I turned 17. It hasn't been easy with everyone telling me that I won't get far if I don't have my soulmate by my side."
"I never understood why finding our soulmates was a priority. I don't need someone to make a living in life."
"Thank you! Finally, I met someone that feels the same way I do. I also started getting more pieces so people around me would stop harassing me about their soulmates." A light chuckle came from the man sitting in front of me, the corner of his lips turning into a smirk. That sound. Might just become my new favorite. What has come over me today? He's just a guy. He's just my tattoo artist.
"I'm gonna need you to turn your arm a slight bit here so I can finish it up." As I turn my arm, I noticed the machine stop buzzing, his features falling blank.
"Is there something wrong?" He furrowed his brow, struggling to find the right words as started up the machine again.
"Uh.. sor— sorry, I was just amazed by all the achievements you've made. You've done so much it seems, more than anyone I know." Is that really what caused him to stop? Nobody has done that before… I wonder—no… he can't be. There's no way.
"What got you into the tattooing business?"
"Well since I can remember, I've had a love for the art form, wasn't until I got my first tattoo that I actually started learning. Once I got used to the machine and practiced a lot with my teacher, I did my first tattoo on Dean. We've been close since that day. When he asked me to be a member of his new parlor, I was so ecstatic to finally have my dream job." The genuine smile he displayed showed the deep passion he has for this line of work.
"You're family must be really proud of you. Following your dreams and goals."
"Actually, they just wanted me to find my soulmate just like everyone else."
"I'm sorry, Sehun... I didn't me—"
"It's okay love, I've had plenty of time to get over it. Like you, it's not the most important adventure in my life. Although, I'm open to the idea as of lately." Why did those few words seem to punch me in the chest... I shouldn't feel this way for someone I just met.
"I hope you find your special someone Sehun. You seem like a great guy."
"Thank you Y/N, but I have a feeling I won't have too much trouble."
"How optimistic. Good quality to have in life."
"Alright, you're all finished hun, I hope you like it." He lifts up the hand mirror once again so I can see the finished piece. He ended up adding two birds flying above the skyline, adding onto the beautiful silhouette.
"I adore it Sehun, thank you so much. It means a great deal to me."
"Anytime, you ever feel like getting another piece in the future while you're around, I would love to be the artist." Seeing his full smile caused a blush to spread over my cheekbones. Oh God, please don't notice. He took the latex gloves off as we made our way to the door, entering the hall,
"So how are we paying today?"
"Card is fine." I reached into my pocket to pull out my card, only to see Sehun's hand laying on the counter. My heart started to pound in my chest at the replica to my soulmate piece, but in blue. Blinking a couple of times to make sure my mind wasn't playing tricks on me, the color started to change into a mauve. I look down at mine to see the tangerine shade fade into the same mauve color.
"How about a date instead?" I thought I was blushing before— boy, earlier couldn't come close to comparison. Whistles, hollers, and claps filled the space around the lobby causing a chuckle to fall past Sehun's lips as his friends applauded the long-awaited moment.
"I was beginning to wonder how long it would take for one of you to notice. I happened to see your tattoo as you explained your story, the funny part was that you were automatically drawn to his work, I didn't need to intervene." Dean explained as he high fived Christian and the red-haired man from the other room.
"Bout damn time there man, I was starting to think you were never going to find the one. By the way, my names Kwon Jiyong, but you can call me G-Dragon."
"Nice to meet you." We shook hands before he leaned down to lightly kiss the top of my hand, letting go to ruffle Sehun's hair.
"So what do you say, love? Mind if I show off your beauty to my city?"
"As long as it's you by my side, I'll go anywhere."
