The Fallout show is pretty fun so far. I still have 3 episodes to go. Everytime Lucy said "Okey dokey", this was all I could picture.

okay but i cannot get over how funny it is. imagine if the Russians launched bombs back in the 60s and fucking John Wayne survived, 200-some years later he's still kicking and has become an actual gotdang cowboy like a real force to be reckoned with, a real wasteland legend. imagine you're a prewar ghoul somewhere else in the country and you hear about this. "John Wayne survived? The John Wayne from the movies? That John Wayne? You're kidding, he– no. No he is not a cowboy. No he's not going around dressed up like an honest to god– they didn't even– that's just for tv! WAIT AND HE'S GOOD AT IT? YOU'RE FUCKING WITH ME SAY PSYCH RIGHT NOW I CANT–"

This scene demonstrates why I love how Vault-Tec is written as an evil corporation. It's not the usual mustache-twirling, over-the-top villainy you see in other media. It's quiet, subtle, and very realistic, which only serves to make Vault-Tec that much more terrifying.
When Cooper finishes describing how Vault-Tec was responsible for the deaths of countless people, the executive here does two things: a) he makes their deaths about himself (ALL WHILE NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGING THEM!), and b) he makes it about "Product Management."
It really emphasizes the theme that corporations like Vault-Tec and the suits who run them at Vault-Tec only care about the company and its products and NOT the people who use them (or are being used by them).

Walton Goggins explaining this shot of him as The Ghoul in a Diamond mine-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“It looks like I’m trying to look cool and all but Im not.” 🤣 you sir are a national treasure. His humor and down-to-earth charisma just does it for me.
He is perfectly casted as the Ghoul aka Cooper Howard!!

One of my favorite moments in the show is when Cooper and Lucy come across that ghoul who is slowly turning feral. I can't recall his name, but he keeps repeating his name over and over again. But at one point, he is talking with Lucy and I don't remember what they're talking about but he starts to reminiscence about something happy ... a sweet memory ... and it's then that Cooper shoots him. Lucy gets mad at him, but if you're familiar with the games then you know what was happening and you know that Cooper had to kill him. And I just think there's something so beautiful in that moment, because to Lucy it comes across as callous and cruel but in actuality ... it's a kind and compassionate merciful act. Cooper kills him before he goes feral, he kills him when he isn't expecting it, and he let's his last thought be a happy one and how many happy moments are there in the apocalypse? It's just such a lovely moment that is deeply characterizing of the type of man he is, because he is a good man who has become someone else after 200 years in this wasteland but deep down .... he is still that good man. On some level anyway.

Lucy: *Kills a cockroach* Holy moly!
Lucy: *escapes a near death experience* Okie Dokie that was intense.
The Ghoul: Just say “fuck” for the love of god.
Lucy:
