Dreblr Survey Results!

First of all, thanks to everyone who took part in this survey. There were 152 responses in total! This post just covers the statistical side of things; there will be more posts later for the long response questions.

Listen, you don't have to tell me, I already know I forgot to put Church Prime. I'm very aware of my stupidity. But these results—do you even know how strong you have to be to overpower Pandora's Vault? In dreblr? Damn. That was also a last-minute thing, Pandora's Vault was winning.

Fandom behaviors

I'll admit, I didn't give the best options for this question, so thanks to everyone who wrote their own response. Apparently we're all big readers, so that's nice for us! We're also more likely to be a writer than an artist, but far fewer of us are writing meta. All in all, this looks like a pretty good spread!

Joining the fandom

The most popular time to start watching the dsmp was between New L'Manberg and the Disc War Finale, but honestly, it's split into fairly even quarters between the main "seasons" the server was active. To those who joined after the finale streams, hi! I hope you're enjoying your stay!

Thoughts on the finale streams

I'm actually a little blown away that no one rated the finale streams a 1. Not a single person. There's nothing more I can say other than this response is overwhelmingly positive.

Is the fandom dying?

It looks like the answer is no! 82.9% of us are still moderately interested in the dsmp or more, and for almost a third of us, it's consuming every part of our brain. I don't know about you, but for me, this is actually something I really needed to see.

Sooooo

I may or may not have been literally OBSSESED with Dream smp lately, and by that, I mean A LOT.

To the point that I started coming up with aus when was in scool.

So you see, I love dreamnap, dnf, snf and dnn with all my heart, and at the same time I love bench trio shit, so most of the stuff I come up with are around these ships.

I also really really love Tommy and Sapnap, so everything is gonna be centered around those two and since I'm a sucker for phoenix duo, there'll be a lot of that too.

SO this, like, another hero villain vigilante people with powers thing, but at the same time, it's different.

There are monsters(minecraft mobs) roaming around the surface of earth, and that's when heroes are needed and things like that.

In this world, Dream, George, Philza, Wilbur, Punz, Tubbo, Puffy, Badboyhalo, Skeppy and some others are heroes, all the while Jshlatt, Jack, Fundy and Eret are villains.

And in the middle of them, Tommy, Sapnap, Techno, Quackity, Purpled, Ranboo and Niki are vigilantes, and that's the whole point of this fic.

Dnf(who are in love with Sap) try to get Sapnap to turn himself in, promising to not arrest him but actually to get him a hero licence, but Sapnap(who is in love with dnf) never actually listens to them, so George and Dream are desperate.

Little did they know, Sanap was much closer to them that they thought, cause he was siblings with Punz, a hero, who also happens to be close to dnf.

Meanwhile, we have Tubbo trying to earn Tommy and Ranboo's trust so that he could help them(he's still a hero intern btw) and it's much more simple than what dnn have going on for them.

We also have quackbur, Crime boys, foolish/punz, niki/puffy, skephalo and alot more.

If I go into the details, it will take forever, because I have to explain the characters' pasts, I have to go in detail about how everyone met everyone, everyone's powers, vigilante/hero/villain costumes and so on.

So I'm ending this post here and adding stuff later.

I've been calling this "weirdo squad, go!" In my brain, and I'll call it that here too.

Mmm yes good this dead space au is tasty. I'm curious though, what IS Dream doing during all this? 👀 And maybe if you have thoughts on the other trio what's goin' on over with them too?

I was playing around with two ideas for Dream, either that he was already off the ship or that he’s still on it and simply don’t know his boyfriends are on it too until the last couple of hours of the event (I imagine the time frame of Sapnap and George getting on the ship and eventually managing to escape it is no longer than 10-12 hours, there’s just things constantly happening within those hours). I eventually decided to go with the latter since it would be more interesting for Dream’s character and make more sense to the story.

So Dream has been on the ship since the beginning, since before the Marker was brought on board and witnessed everything unfold on the planet colony and then eventually on the Ishimura. He was protesting bringing the Mark onboard from the very start, having seen the effects it had on some of the civilians from the colony that they brought up to study. But of course the religious fanatics thought it more important to retrieve their holy relic than to protect the lives of their crew.

In hopes of learning more about the Marker and how it affects people Dream studied it pretty closely and he knows it's the artifact that is causing everything. It makes people have delusions, it causes them to die at the hands of each other or themselves, and it then mutates the DNA of the corpses, creating Infectors that spread the necromorph mutation, creating more dead bodies to infect.

Dream is also having delusions, but he’s more aware of them. He actually keeps seeing Sapnap and George even before they arrive on the ship. At first he ignores them, not falling for the Marker’s tricks, but the worse things get the more he starts to turn to his hallucinations for comfort. He knows that they’re not really there, but he starts talking to them to soothe himself.

This ended up making him believe Sapnap and George are just his normal hallucinations when he does get in contact with them, and he kind of acts like they’ve been on the ship the whole time. Sapnap easily goes along with it because he’s “seen” Dream too so it makes sense to him. Meanwhile George is trying to figure out what the fuck is going on and start question his own sanity with the way his boyfriends are acting. Maybe he’s the one going insane?

As for the other three, they don’t get added to the story until after the Ishimura events!

Karl is a scientist sent with a team to gather Marker shards on Aegis VII, or what’s left of the planet (spoiler, dnn manage to return the Marker to the planet where it, and part of the planet, is crushed when the Ishimura’s gravity tethers fail, releasing the planet chunk it was holding and sending it crashing back down miles below.). He is heavily influenced by just the shard they find and bring back to the ship, managing to decode part of the Marker’s purpose and architectural design to potentially build a new one. But he also ends up testing his knowledge which triggers another necromorph outbreak on this other ship.

He survives but is taken in by EarthGov, the main governmental body of this setting, that wants to sweep all these Marker events under the rug. They torture him for his knowledge and then lock him in a cryo chamber for potential future use. The same has happened to dnn after they managed to escape the Ishimura.

Three years later we find Punz and Foolish on the Sprawl, a civilian space station built on the remains of Saturn's moon, Titan, which was broken into pieces in a planet cracking operation. Punz is a security and repair officer on the station while Foolish is a technician. They’re often paired up to fix things and are really close friends, maybe even a little bit more than that already.

They’re doing their normal routine of getting called out to repair jobs around the station when they notice a lot of the issues they come across seem to have been deliberately sabotaged and tampered with. It's while they’re musing over this that they are notified of an outbreak on the station, and I’m sure you can guess what that means!

As it so happens, the cryo chambers the other four have been stored in are also on the Sprawl and Foolish, an agent of Unitology, is tasked to let them out amidst the outbreak. All six of them will end up getting separated and paired up to survive yet another necromorph outbreak.

ok well really its more of a vague series of domestic omegaverse/mpreg/funz with kids brainrots in my mind/a notes document than an actual fic but. i will still talk about it

they have 2 twin girls (who do not have names. bc i am very bad/particular about naming characters. like not only does it have to be a good name that suits the character it also has to be a name that i think they would believably name their child u know) and they love them very much

they have that whole nervous-yet-excited new parents thing going on where when foolish is pregnant they're going to parenting classes and buy a bunch of parenting books bc they want to raise their kids right and they're so excited to start a family together. and then when they finally have the kids its obviously a little overwhelming, as having 2 newborns for the first time would be, but they love them and by god are they trying their best

oh and they both deffo cry when they're born, they have foolish's dark hair and eyes and punz's nose and they look like the perfect mix of both of them and theyre so full of love

despite not living close to all of them (originally had this au set in nc and then kind of realized location didnt really matter. u take ur pick of whoever they live near) a lot of their friends end up being like the cool aunt/uncle. i think tina especially would really love them (partially inspired by how one time on stream she talked about how she doesnt want kids of her own but would want to help her friends raise kids if they had any) also really like the idea of dnn kid existing and being like their cousin who they visit on occasion

when they're little foolish would be all goofy and play pretend with them (he may have had at least some influence in getting them to have both a pirate and a cowboy phase) also he'd totally do that thing where he picks them up and spins them around just to throw them (gently) onto the couch

when the twins get a bit older i think they'd be the type of parents to make them try out a bunch of sports, one of them gets really into soccer for a while and they both have that whole sports-parent who carpools with a minivan thing going on

and omg they'd totally be the kids with Cool Parents at school, like no way your parents are YOUTUBERS and they're friends with MR BEAST?? :0

i think maybe when the twins get a little older they have one more kid but i havent really put as much thought into it, i just like writing foolish as really family oriented like i think he'd like having a big family

anyways there is a slightly disjointed list of bulletpoints like i said this au just lives in my mind as various ideas and scenes but there is some of it
