I got tagged by @highlifeboat and I’ve never felt so included. Also had to stop and think cause I pretty much never use Spotify outside of car trips these days, but figuring out how best to do this with a Youtube playlist was too much work and not entirely accurate. rules: shuffle your "on repeat" playlist and post the first 10 tracks. 1. Orlais Theme - Trevor Morris
2. Memory (Star Wars Style) - Whitney Avalon
3. Ode to Fury - Miracle of Sound
4. El Baile Madrigal - Germaine Franco
5. I’m Still Here (Jim’s Theme) - Annapantsu
6. Epic Anime Medley - Peter Hollens, AmaLee
7. Into the Unknown - Idina Menzel, AURORA
8. Stampede - Alexander Jean, Lindsey Stirling
9. I See Red - Everybody Loves an Outlaw
10. Do What You Gotta Do - Dove Cameron, Cheyenne Jackson
I tag @twlightseavoyager @cblgblog @aud8 and anyone else who wants to do it because I am awkward at tagging peeps lol

Back on my disney rants. This one is about how I did not enjoy Frozen. Before I start, this is my OPINION. I am allowed to not like something. if you watched this movie and enjoyed it, that's fine, we obviously both got something different out of it and that's okay. That's allowed.
Anyway I didn't like Frozen and I thought Hans should not have been villainised for what he did.
The music, I will give them, was good. The plot? Dull. Boring. Pointless. It had a good premise but the payoff was awful, especially when i went into this thinking it was going to be a different film.
I'll explain. So, a couple of years back in my youth hallmark or some other classic channel made this film called the Snow Queen based off of Hans Christian Anderson's story (I think). This film has many problems but boy has it stuck with me because it's also just so good with its premise. Basically theres a girl who hates winter because her mother died in winter. She ends up liking it when this boy kai comes along only he ditches her because this lady rolls into town and kidnaps him. The wider story arc is that there's this mirror and there are four sisters who all want this mirror, the sisters are the seasons and winter takes the mirror but it smashes and a piece gets caught in Kai's sye which is why he's taken. The girl ends up travelling through each season in the Hope's of finding kai and the seasons themselves are so good. Spring tries to brainwash her and make her sleep all the time, summer can see dreams and has balls and she tries to marry the girl off, autumn is a bandit queen. It's just, it's both a good and bad movie (kinda racist, but it was made in a time where these stereotypes weren't talked about as much)
Anyway I walked in thinking disney was remaking this and I was so hyped. Except it wasn't, it was what we got with frozen.
To start off with, I thought the opening song was good, it was strong and interesting and it had mystery to it. I thought oh maybe this will be about kristoff since you know he was kidnapped by trolls. But no. In fact that's never brought up. You don't just set that up for nothing. I mean tangled is literally about finding the princess that was kidnapped at the beginning. Why don't we get more about kristoff's family? Aren't they looking for him? I was so frustrated with this dropped plot.
Moving on, I thought, again, the beginning was okay. It was interesting that elsa had these powers from a kid, but then why does she have them? Why do we find that out in the 2nd movie and not the 1st? Again, this was a dropped plot point that could have been something interesting. They could have related this back to the trolls or a curse or something that would tie into a prophecy that would tie the whole narrative together.
But no, she as magic, anna forgot and now she shuts herself away and is now expected to be queen? That makes no sense. She literally doesn't leave her room. How are we expecting Elsa to rule here? She's literally attended no council meetings or sat in on audiences with her people. I don't think Elsa even attended most of her lessons since anna probably would have been there with her. It doth make no sense.
Anna's song was a bop. I liked Hans too. I didn't enjoy that thing disney does these days where it mocks old disney with jokes about marrying them a day after they've met them. I'll have you know Belle was at least with the beast a year. eric and ariel had a whirlwind romance sure but that's not to say there wasn't a gap between ariel getting legs and the two of them marrying. The same with cinderella, snow white, mulan spent months on the road with Shang, aurora and Philip lived in medieval france so there might have been a gap or their parents just forced them together. the point is disney makes jokes about things that aren't even jokes. Like it doesn't hold up. It also doesn't make sense in a real context because Hans is a prince anna is a princess, unless he has nothing to bring to the table which I don't even think Elsa knows about peace treaties and whatever then theres no reason she should say no to agreeing to let them court. Not marry, but they could court. Also it wasn't that unusual to marry someone youd never seen in medieval times if you were royalty. Henry VIII of england married anne of Cleves after seeing her portrait and then, in real life, said she'd catfished him because he'd never seen her until they were married.
Anyway, elsa ran off, I didn't care. I had no reason to care. I cared more about anna and her story than elsa and her ice palace. Also can we appreciate hans here. This man looked after the people, the guests, he stopped fights he made sure everyone was alright and sure he tried to kill elsa but I mean elsa was plunging the kingdom into eternal winter. I don't know about you but this is literally what got the white witch killed in narnia so, you know, maybe hans was just doing what was good for the kingdom. Also anna was a loose cannon. She wanted to bring else back? To cause more damage? I'm surprised the people didn't rebel against these 2 unprepared princesses. What do they know about ruling? At least hans has an idea, he proved he put the people over finding Elsa. So, all I'm saying is maybe we were a bit quick to judge.
Kristoff annoyed me when we met him again. I just knew they were going for that opposites attract thing. Olaf was cute for about 2 minutes. Sven saved the show for me tbh. Love a good reindeer.
Also we meet the trolls again? For someone who was mocking not getting married after they'd just met the trolls were kind of saying the opposite. Also what happened to kristoff's parents? Tell me!
Blah blah blah it bored me blah blah blah I hated that true love was a family thing. Like, yes, it's true that true love can come from family, but in the context that disney has made it out to be I felt like I was being cheated. I felt like they were watering down something that didn't need to be watered down. Two characters can still kiss right? Because disney seems to be steering away from any romance in their films these days. I felt like the fairytale structure was incomplete and honestly I was barely watching it at that point.
I just didn't like frozen, anna should have been queen at the end of the 1st movie not the 2nd and hans deserved better.
If you disagree that's fine but I don't accept Elsa as a good disney queen. Kida will always hold that spot for me followed closely by ariel (is she a queen? I think she is in the second one. I don't remember)
So yeah, frozen was kind of a mess in my opinion.

OMG WE'RE RANKING HAZBIN SONGS!?!?!?!? MY TURN MY TURN MY TURN!!!
Respectless: Carmilla and Velvette both have such satisfying voices omfg. Also the beat goes sO HARD- it catches your attention and DOESN'T LET IT GO! Also it moves the plot forward very effectively which is actually really important for songs in musicals to do so. That's nice. Tbh it's only flaw is being too short-
Stayed Gone: VOX MY BELOVED- this song is so fucking catchy. It also kinda gives me Will Wood vibes, and I love Will Wood so ofc I'm gonna love the Will Wood ass song. Love how petty Al and Vox are, like it's so fucking funny. The lore drops are also really interesting. Aaaaaaaand Alastor's bit at the end reminded me of the Nowhere King and I love Centaurworld so :)
Loser, Baby: Pretty obvious why this one's so high up; Huskerdust, Keith David, cute bonding, has a message I needed to hear tbh, and its catchy as FUCK
Hell Is Forever: God I love all the different genres they play around with in this show- like I was NOT expecting a straight up ROCK BALLAD in the FIRST FUCKIN EPISODE but god Im so happy we got it. This song goes so fucking hard. Alex Brightman should be allowed to sing more Rock n' Roll.
Poison: Once again, this song is catchy as hell! Blake Roman's vocal preformance is also phenomenal, like that man can fuckin SING!!! Of course he can he's been on broadway and releases his own music bUt you get it. Also that final verse... man. In the context of the episode this song is emotionally devastating, out of context it's uh. Still really sad tbh but it's easier to bop along to it cause you don't have the visuals- Idk it's just a fuckin banger man. Though speaking of the visuals VOX WHAT WAS THAT FUCKING LOOK WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO CONVEY HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT ANGE- *gets shot dead*
Happy Day In Hell: Honestly? Pretty neutral on this song. Love Erika Henningsen's voice, I think it's catchy(no duh), and the Disney Princess vibes are IMMACULATE. Not a huge fan of the random shift in the music I wanna say half way through? But otherwise it's a good song I think, conveys Charlie's motives really well.
Whatever It Takes: Okay okay look. It's a good song. Does it's job in the episode. It's just not for me. I think it goes on a little too long, and I think that, while Daphne Ruben-Vega's voice fits the song PERFECTLY, Stephanie Beatriz was singing too high in her range to a distracting degree. Like I think there was something wonky going on because that shit gave me the same whiplash I got when Marinette started singing in the Miraculous movie, and it just. Doesn't fit the style of the song. Like Vaggie's part should've been more belty or something. Idk man I might be too out of my lane w/ this for my critique to be valid, because I have literally never written a song before, and music is VERY subjective so I don't think I can even be objectively right here, but still. Oppinions.
It Starts With Sorry: Look, I know this song is supposed to be a joke, but the first time I saw the episode that did n o t click with me, and without the understanding that it isn't entirely serious this song just feels so fucking out of place and really falls flat. Like it feels like somebody took a song from My Little Pony: FiM, made an AMV with Hazbin characters, and then threw it in the episode, y'know? And like don't get me wrong MLP has some FUCKIN bangers(Say Goodbye to the Holiday, This Day Aria, etc), but a lot of the musical numbers are still really bland and samey, y'know? So uh yeah it's a decent song and a funny joke but def my least favorite so far.

thanks @landoom for the tag!! finally one of these i get to do (i keep getting tagged in wip ones and uhhh i write my fics in one sitting i do not have wips)
Star sign:
libra
Favorite holiday:
i don't really like holidays. i romanticise christmas the most so i'll pick that, but christmas day itself is horrible.
Last meal:
i just cooked a lovely quorn & chickpea curry and had it with some rice for dinner
Currently favorite musician:
i'm a basic white girl, taylor swift. i have been exploring the basic white girl genre though, listening to maisie peters & carly rae jepsen also. side note that it's also eurovision season so my usual music taste is mostly out the window for national selection songs (if you're curious, here's my playlist for my favourite national selection songs)
Last music listened to:
currently playing is my ai by super rob and erika norwich
Last movie watched:
descendants. it was a bop!
Last TV show watched:
technically tv i guess! the nrk mgp artist announcements. give me 20 minutes and it will be mgp semi final 1 :D
Last book/fic finished:
no idea on book, i don't think i've finished one in 2024 yet. last fic was of course the last jet lag fic to be written: restless night
Last book/fic abandoned:
christmas for beginners by carole matthews. it was bad.
Currently reading:
one night in italy by lucy diamond. it is a stretch to say i'm currently reading it though. it's on my bedside table looking at me longingly whenever i doomscroll myself to sleep.
Last thing researched for writing/art/hyperfixation:
uhhhh i think it was going back to rewatch some of jet lag season 7 to check on adam's disguise in germany
Favorite online fandom memory:
there's so many oh my goodness - i'll go for a recent one though. learning how to edit and adam finding (and really liking) one of the videos i made. he's such a sweetheart.
Tumblr media
Favorite Old Fandom You Wish Would Drag You Back In/Have A Resurgence:
doctor who. i haven't followed it in a while and keep meaning to get back into it. star wars too, but i'm still too bitter about what disney have done to come back into it.
Favorite Thing You Enjoy That Never Had an Active or Big "Fandom" but You Wish It Did:
i'm saying jet lag the game, because our fandom is me and like four other people and i want more friends to talk about it with! i need more people to write fics and make beautiful art!!!
Tempting Project You're Trying to Rein In/Don't Have Time For:
*gestures wildly at my whiteboard of fic ideas* a specific one would be a sci-fi jet lag au that i've been brainrotting over for a week or so now. i barely have time for what i'm writing now, i don't have capacity for another au. no matter how cute it would be.
Tagging (feel free to ignore): @autumnwaste @jetlaggedtomz @vroombeams @dontrollthedicesideblog @jackredfieldwasmyjacob

AAAAAAAAHHHH ok
hi, feb anon here
you should 100% watch derry girls, it is so hilarious omg! as an irish/english person who is growing up in england, it is literally the funniest show i've watched recently! all three seasons are *chefs kiss* brilliant.
gilmore girls is also great! i do love rory and logan together, i just love logan in general. the more i watch the show, the more i come to think of him as rory's best love interest! you should defintly try it out! i won't say anymore on that so as not to spoil anything.
i am very frustrated rn because once upon a time has been taken off neflix and i don't have disney+ so i can't have the killian and emma content that i crave, but it's ok i'll find a way to watch their episodes :)!
my top three from rep are call it what you want, dress and getaway car
from evermore they are long story short, coney island feat the national and champagne problems (with special mention to evermore feat bon iver because i love it so much)
and from midnights it's paris, would've could've should've and labyrinth,
that was hard omg
i haven't read daisy jones and the six but i will have to check it out now that you've reccommended it, along with that fantasy series. i just bought shadow and bone, as i've seen a lot of love for the books and tv show so i'm gonna try and read that. have you read it? if so, what are your thoughts?
i am really excited for maisie peters second album, body better, to be released as i am obsessed with the lead single and love her music! i haven't listened to paramours album yet but i've been meaning to, same with gracie abram's discography. i'm gonna try to listen to all of gracies stuff before her next album release.
as for marvel, i used to like it a lot, but i think that was more because everyone else did and i wanted to feel included. now tho, the films just seem kinda lifeless. like there are so many filmos and tv shows being mass produced by them that none of it feels unique or authentic, and all the dialogue is just sarcastic and quick witted and kinda mean. idk, i'm just not really that into it anymore. i liked tom hollands spiderman films though, and i've been meaning to watch andrew garfields spiderman for a while.
and as you can see from this ridiculously long message i am a rambler too.
i don't really know what else to say about me, there's not a lot to tell. i like alice oseman and plants and taylor swift and most of my life centres around music and musicians and different media i enjoy.
umm, yeah, i wish i had more to say about me but there's just not really a lot.
what about you tho, any new medias or things coming out that you're excited for? anything interesting about yourself? any fun facts? i'm curious.
i hope you are having a lovely day and everything goes well and you have a nice time doing whatever you plan to do <3
hiiiiiiiii <3
yeah see marvel movies are mostly alright and very surface level but honestly they messed a lot of things up with endgame that it's made me lose the love i had for some movies. i've always loved the ant man movie and fantastic four is literally the only other project i'm excited for. I hate how they cancelled great shows so only disney+ shows remain and now everytime I watch something i just think about the potential they had lmao i could rant on it all day long....
toms movies are okay but nwh is the only goood one for me and i love the amazing spiderman movies the most!!
oh maisie i liked the music she made for the trying soundtrack (idk what the show is i haven't watched it) and i love songs her eps especially the list and daydreams and adore you and details. her album i only really loved and listen to outdoor pool and volcano but body better!!!! omg I love it so much and I'm excited for her new album I really love this sound
difficult has become my favourite gracie song so i'm excited for the new album and i really love how she's got great bops and really depressing songs (which aren't boring for me to listen to)
ouat is so good even when it's bad lol and it's annoying it got taken off netflix! derry girls i've been meaning to watch and it sounds so good!! lol gilmore girls got spoiled for me which idm i don't think i would've watched it but honestly my dash is mostly rogan shippers and i'd say they're correct too
djats i liked the style of the book and its inspired by fleetwood mac and the civil wars (both artists i've never listened to lol) and the band is supposed to be 70s rock which i have no idea what that sounds like so I'm excited for the music but from all the promo they clearly have changed some scenes from the book which kinda made me less excited but i'm still gonna watch it i just think the discourse about "ships" when it's released is going to be inssuferable lol i think mostly i'm excited to expand on a few of the side characters storylines more
i think like majority people i prefer the six of crows duology to the shadow and bone trilogy (its not bad just the other one is sooo good) and honestly the shows okay but the things i've heard about season 2 like joining both book 2+3 for the plot of the second season i'm just so confused about the direction but it's not long till it's released now (literally everything is releasing in march lol)
now onto taylor! your top 3s are so superior omg!!!! the coney island and labyrinth appreciation! you're literally after my heart!!! what rerecordings are you most excited for? do you have any unreleased tracks you would really like on some of the vaults!! the two lover tracks omg those snippets are soooo goood i really really want them released!!!!!
well now i've thought about it there's actually a lot of things i'm excited for this year!! creed 3 is coming out next month i love those movies! and john wick 4! across the spiderverse looks absolutely incredible! apparently there's a new insidious movie coming out this year (it's my comfort horror series lol) hafsah faizals new book a tempest of tea which is pitched as king arthur meets peaky blinders with vampires!!!!!!! it's alll the things i love! and it's the one book i'm most excited for!! speaking of peaky blinders the movie is filming this year and any behind the scenes crumbs i'm so ready for!! the pjo tv show its looking like its not going to coming out until next year but I'm anticipating at least a trailer since filming has ended and we're getting a new pjo book with percy, annabeth and grover again as well as the solangelo book called the sun and the star! also the little mermaid movie she's absolutely going to kill it!! and is it wishful thinking to say speak now tv (which my dream release date of this year would be september 1st! it's a friday 🙏) and so many other things but this message is getting very long lol
honestly same! i'm literally made up of the media's i consume lol my life is pretty boring and all i've done this year so far is get job rejections and get ill lmao but the biggest source of comfort in my life is my nephew's who i look after almost every weekend :)
and i guess another little thing about me is my dream would be to write a book i have so many ideas in my head but o can't seem to get them on paper, even just practising writing a scene i find hard to do. i think at most i just want to learn how to write. i don't even think it'd go anywhere like i don't think anything will be ready to publish or whatever but just for myself i think it'd help free up my mind if i got my ideas out of my head and fully thought out and wrote a book. what about you? what's your dream job or passion? is there anything new you're trying out or want to? anything you'd want to go back and revisit?

MMATA covered the song from Freaky Friday on their new album. It's cute. The lead, Edith Victoria always has lots of personality but she needs some harmony help in these verses. Why we gotta wait for the chorus to get harmony? ETA: Iwas listening to this on headphones that were about to die. The quality was terrible. This song sounds great upon a second listen. I heard lots of background work. Sorry, babes.
The whole album is really fun and cute. It is full of breakup songs. Wasn't expecting that.
Love the bridge of Say it(to my face). She sounds like a punky lil angel there. It's also fun to see them get back at haters with an undeniable hit song.
The chorus of Kool is so chaotic. Why are you saying it like that?????? But the song with its very obvious Brainstew influence is just fun. They're wild for that one. Also Edith showing yall that she actually a mf vocalist. Bc that chorus be taking my lungs out. Yes, by the end I was singing it too. Very fun. Very silly.
Tea plays her ass off but I'm not hearing the shredding as much in this project. She's really restrained here but the parts shes writing a good. So solid. I kind of want her to compose for others. Similarly, Ava's feet aren't as heavy on the pedals this go round. It seems they've made a choice. It's fine. They get to do that. But choosing to leave that calling card off an album that's 50% breakup songs is a choice. Tea used to be fucking it up in the background. Just shredding her way through the verses which worked because there aren't a lot of bg vocals. Not singing backup as strongly, her playing made up for that. I miss it. I also miss Ava's heavy ass drumming. It's all really different on here. I need to find some interviews about this project. Need to know what went into these choices. I still really like what theyre doing. Young adult audiences should be in love with them.
After all that fun up top the albums takes TMI and Same Language into what I call the Frustration Break. A couple songs about mfs working on your nerves. They're cute songs but feel like a lull. It works because the choruses are so good and you feel relieved by the end of that chunk of songs. Also a-capella handclap breaks are my weakness.
A Few Tomorrows is the bittersweet midtempo song about how it's not goodbye, only a "see you later" which is placed in the right order because literally the rest of the album after this track is backloaded with breakup up songs.
Need Me(my favorite track of this album) is an upbeat breakup bop. Cute. MMATA has a gift for making songs you want to sing along to. Lyrics tho. The simplicity is good but I've seen the pen push harder.
This is where I noticed their hardcore influence is not present at all in this album. Poof. Gone. Aww.
It's Over for Me is another breakup song. Track sequencing is winning big. Love when songs are in correct order. This track is not as strong as Need Me. I would have left this one off the project.
Thx for Nothing is the last breakup bop in this chunk of songs. This girl is going through it. Very 5sos. I say this as a 34 year old who barely knows what a 5sos is. Oh and that main guitar part sounds like what i can only describe as family reunion music. Real ones know.
Rocket science is another optimistic bop taking us to the end of this album but the song is full of phrases from those Hang In There posters. It's cute. It's giving Disney Knees. Edith who usually enunciates to a fault just stops doing that. "Everything is possible" turns into "ennythahggihhhpohhhiiiubbboool" and I cant state enough that I loved that. The Gerard of it all.
King of Everything: lament about life being so unnecessarily hard and wanting a do-over. Hard relate. Don't love the melody as much as the others. Not a happy ending to the album but a resolution for sure. I think the last two songs should have been switched but they said what they said.
3.5 out of 5 stars to Meet Me @ the Altar for their sophomore long playing album. The sequencing of tracks is so strong. A lost art these days. The tracks work together to take your through a bunch of highs and lows then sticks the landing with that final track. The album is good at exactly what it set out to do. That's all I ask. Miss that hard playing tho. I'm sure the live shows will fill that gap.

ah i want that to happen for you!! i believe in you!!! but those are all bops!! would love to see a live concert with all of those songs! and 100% agree jatp songs should be there lol okay so what are some of your favorite dynamics from disney channel shows or movies? -gcwca secret santa
ooooh!!!! this is such a fun question
the rotten four bc any way you break it down it's fascinating whether you ship them together (i do) or not (i also don't). i am full of many layers, much like an onion. particular huge shoutout to jal (i have many thoughts about jal both platonically and romantically and if i wrote them all out it would be an entire essay).
mack/lela!!! bc like. mack thinks lela is so Like That(tm) but then realizes lela is like, an actualized person! who is her own actual person! and lela realizes that about herself too!!!
cyd/shelby bc they're just sOOOOOOOOO. i cannot express how i feel about them in words. or gifs bc i can't find an hq download. what if we had the power to time travel while we were touching each other and thinking about another time but also we were both girls 👉👈🥺
barry/naldo bc like. barry knows about science and other traditionally "smart" things but naldo knows about people and they complete each other.
amy and jake from villains of valley view bc they love each other SO much but they're also siblings who sometimes want to kill each other.
harry/uma bc like. they had the MOST chemistry. and i think that's compelling. he would do anything for her and tell me that's not the most romantic thing a man has ever done on the disney channel. big gomez addams “i would die for her. i would kill for her. either way what bliss” energy of him.
audrey and jay but specifically the version of them that i made up in my head that's like ‘we made out a few times at parties but now we're besties about it’. lesbian and her emotional support himbo energy (jay isn't a himbo but that's the best way i can think of to simplify that dynamic)
not supported in canon at all i believe but everything natasha does with nate and mitchie in her camp rock fics fascinates and compels me. i need to watch camp rock again and it's all bc of their fics
the hero/villain kid pairings in descendants. not even as ships i just think i want all of them to meet and talk it out. god i think about that fic i did of amber and carlos SO much and the wip one of melody and uma. curses and hexes on disney for giving uma a sibling and killing her only child complex that i write her with 💔😔
i feel like i'm forgetting some really fun ones i like a lot but. this is all i can think of off the top of my head rn
what are ur favorite dynamics 🤨

NOSTALGIAMARE ENTRY 25!
NAME: THE MUPPETS: WIZARD OF OZ
COMPANY/FRANCHISE: ABC
TOUCHSTONE PRODUCTIONS
THE JIM HENSON COMPANY
THE MUPPETS
CATEGORY: MOVIE (TELEVISION MOVIE)
YEAR: 2005
DESCRIPTION: The first Muppets movie since their acquisition by the Walt Disney Company a year prior as well as continuing their trend of parody based adaptations of popular classic literature. In this modern-twist of the Wizard Of Oz, Dorothy Gale dreams of becoming a famous worldwide pop star and desires more than having to live in her rural Kansas town with her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry. So when a tornado strikes her home, she and her pet PRAWN Toto (Pepe The Prawn) wound up in the magical land of Oz and with the help of some brand new friends, make a long but adventurous journey to see the Wizard to have her dreams come true. But along the way, she ends up learning something more valuable than fame. This TV movie is widely notorious amongst the Muppets fanbase and is regarded as one of the worst things to come out of the franchise.
MOD THOUGHTS
1: I'm gonna have to be honest even if this movie WAS trying to cash in on the early 2000s R&B popularity pretty late, Ashanti's opening song is a freakin' bop and GOD do I wish it was longer-
youtube
2: The fact that this movie made me absolutely TERRIFIED of Quentin Tarantino before even KNOWING who he actually was is astounding. Don't believe me watch this clip because Kermit is just me when I first saw this scene-
youtube
3: Also this was the Muppet movie/special out of 3 largely obscure and criticised one's on my poll to win sooo that kinda sells it at how bad the reception was lol. Anyways watch this movie at your own risk if you value your sanity and have a wholesome scarecrow Kermit pic bye.

hi hello tana!!!
i noticed you like n.flying - do you have any music recs for them i need to know thank you
hihiii Ai!
I do like N.Flying! I like them a normal amount, I'm definitely not obsessed with any of the members, I'm totally normal about how much I like Seunghyub and N.Flying as a whole.
For music recs... Starlight!! This song changed me as a person. I've gotta listen to it every few days - it's just so pretty and sad and heartwarming and heart wrenching all at once. The MV and origin of the song is also very sad :( music that comes from the heart and soul like that just hits different, it's filled with pure emotion (like Imagine Dragon's Wrecked. Off topic but gosh it kills me every time)
Of course I have ta recommend the title tracks. Awesome, The Real, Hot Potato, How R U Today are still such bops and super duper fun!! I loved them so much but they just get better and better with every comeback?? Rooftop and Good Bam solidified me as a fan. If you're not huge on their earlier stuff, please don't skip over these two. They're just so *chef's kiss* ugh, never skip, put 'em on repeat.
Then for b-sides, yooo, I have to inform you that Flowerwork exists. It's so freaking fun ??? and good!! also Leave It! Same vibe but a little more upbeat and zingy? and and and also I'm Gonna and E-Yo <33 SOFT <- that's me. and Youth, actually. The Oh Really album was a bop all around! and if you like slower, more emotional songs, Like A Flower is so beautiful! I also really liked the Japanese tracks Amnesia and Doll!
I've been slacking lately and I'm like two years behind on music so I also haven't listened to the latest two albums yet :( so I'm sure there's even more bops I've missed!
Also Hun and Jaehyun have a YouTube channel called 2IDIOTS and they're super funny askdjfg I recommend any of the videos that also have Seunghyub in them but... I'm being so obviously biased lmfao all of their videos are good!! they feature other idols sometimes too~ and also Seunghyub has solo music under the name J.DON! Hweseung has done some OSTs, and Dongsung is the cutest person alive!
OMG BUT DUDE THEIR COVERS ARE SO GOOD TOO!! Their Shy Away cover is amazing, and that's coming from someone who has been a Twenty One Pilots fan longer than I've even known what KPOP is. Leave The Door Open is really good too! Spot on with the R&B vibe! and if you like Disney stuff they covered Into The Unknown :) they cover all kinds of genres! I believe they did Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish and Ariana too. They've got the range ^^/
And if I had to give a fan-made video of a single legendary moment that must be shared and appreciated, it would be... One Spaghetti, One Chicken Taco. It just... sums them up perfectly, I-- askhdfjg
also if you want to get to know them more, my darling moot Ezra @seunghyubtual has N.Flying brainrot to an even greater degree than I do and can definitely help you on your way to becoming a N.Fia!!

Yeah if we compare them, they deliver the message they want but one is more blunt, for sure! Like "For the love of a daughter' 'Father' are very Demi songs!
I don't really see many artists writing like Demi tbh even if she, at this point, has worked ALL MY NERVES!
What matters to me is that i grew up with too young songwriters, that feel EVERYTHING and have very relatable issues and were never scared to write the fuck of a song!
For exemple, i'm closer to Lorde's age than Taylor and Demi's (i stared following them cause of Disney) and in my time in High School Pure Heroine was a recent album and i love me some Lorde but i never found her relatable, i bop to her music and get it but like never connected!
Exactly, and like I think even comparing their songs about death (I made a post a few months ago about how Dead Friends was hitting hard because sometimes what you're feeling is as blunt as "I miss my dead friends"), Ronan is sad but almost plays into whimsical nostalgia and feels very artistic whereas Dead Friends almost feels like you're literally reminiscing/talking with Demi and being like "damn, I really took for granted how short life is and now I miss not only the times we had but the times we won't". And I'm sure there's a ton of reason for the differences including ages of the dead ones, writing styles and whatever, but it's just so interesting to me that the same concept can be written about in such different ways and still be as good as one another.
As a side note, not to be on brand(tm) for me, but if you're looking for someone who does a mix of this, I'd recommend Kate Miller-Heidke who has songs like Words and What Was I To You (which are like the blunt versions of Dear Reader and All Too Well [especially the 10 minute version] respectively) but also the whimsical and more metaphorical songs like The Last Day On Earth and Space They Cannot Touch.
And I agree with the relatability stuff (though I do relate to Lorde's last two albums, but just Pure Heroine as much). Like obviously a song can be good without relatability, but I think for me to willingly listen to a song over and over, I need to have some connection to it. Circling back to SZA, that's why Seek & Destroy is my favourite from SOS, because while I don't relate to it now, it took me back to 2018 when a non romantic relationship of mine fell apart and for a long time that's how I felt. And while I understand that people go to music for different reasons, that's the beauty of music for me.

Hello, lovely friendo! I hope your week has been much, much better!
I listened to your rec, and I have to tell you, it's not something I expected, but it was pretty cool. It felt like something I would have heard back on Buffy the Vampire-Slayer (my first great love). I would love for you to make me a playlist some time! I listen to basically everything under the sun honestly, but I'm comfiest in synthwave, pop, and RnB. I also love world music. The second time I visited Germany, I fell in love with Tarkan, and he started my quest for music from many cultures. I don't need lyrics to enjoy a song--if it bops, I bop. :)
Your pet peeve is just my flavor. My life often centers around my irrational hatred and irritation with dumb shit that doesn't matter at all, but it matters to *me* lol. My husband loves to tease me because I fly off the deep-end every time someone uses "irregardless".
Meander is a GREAT word. I, too, love words with good mouth-feel, like the name Rogelio or words like "thistle" and "incandescent" and most words featuring w's. I also have a list of words I simply won't ever use because I hate the way they sound so much. I have pretty strong misophonia, which is triggered as much by things like people eating and drinking as it is by word sounds. I can't even enjoy Hyungwon's ASMR and certainly never a Shownu mukbang. //sobs//
I am also a Puff! But barely. Only a couple percentage points separated me from all four houses?
Okay, by this point, I'm starting to get seriously concerned that we are the same person lol. Maleficent is one of my all-time faves, too! I love a fierce and confident babe who's sick of everyone's shit haha. Sleeping Beauty was my fave Disney movie as a child because of HER (and, well, that sick dress Aurora had tbh). Skumps! Also, you're right--the live action one was poop.
My best friend wanted her superpower to be understanding and speaking all languages, too!
So, I have your gift finished already (and, real talk, I cannot WAIT to share it with you), but that's no reason I can't still interrogate you heh heh heh. //adjusts the spotlight onto your face//
Now for an actual holiday-themed ask (probably the last one before the holidays honestly).
Do you celebrate Christmas or any winter holiday? If so, do you travel for it?
Do you like giving gifts more than receiving them or vice versa?
How do you feel about gift cards as gifts?
Do you like to decorate or are you minimalist for holidays?
Will you still play in the snow or are you a strictly inside under ten blankets person?
Even if you're not celebrating anything this weekend, I hope your days are filled with warmth inside and out and lots of laughter and love and very good food.
Yours in friendship,
mbb secret santa
Hello again!! I'm so excited to see what you made! I'm sure I'm going to love it
Things have definitely been better this week. Still tough, but I'm doing much better! And having crazy questions to answer always helps lol
I do celebrate Christmas but as a secular holiday because I'm not religious. I've just always loved the colors and smells and sparkles and flavors of the holiday. It's actually my favorite one (Halloween is close behind though). I don't usually travel, though. My parents live pretty close so we go see them on Christmas day for presents and lunch, but that's about it.
The gift question is a tough one! Because it's kind of both? I love giving people presents so so so much, gift giving is one of my love languages. My wife is pretty hard to shop for, so I always feel like I've scored big time when I get them a present that they love. But I also love receiving gifts because I mean... who doesn't like knowing that someone went and picked out something thoughtful?? There are the occasional crappy gifts, of course, but the nice ones make up for it.
Okay so I'm generally not a huge fan of gift cards, mostly for the reasons I listed above. I'll always be grateful for whatever someone decides to get me, but I always think gift cards or money is kind of a bummer, like someone saying "here ya go, I don't have the time/energy to go pick something out for you, so do it yourself". And I know a lot of people prefer gift cards for exactly that reason, I'm just a Leo and I like to know that people are thinking about me lol
So like I just said, I'm a Leo..... so I'm a big time maximalist when it comes to holiday decorating. I have garlands, wreaths, a 7 foot tall tree that barely fits in my house, Santas, nutcrackers, like three different advent calendars, table runners, candles, snowmen. You name it, I've got it lol. I even have the angel that my family used to put on the tree when I was a little kid because I'm too sentimental not to put her out on a shelf.
I am definitely a Go Play In The Snow kind of person. As long as I don't have to drive in it, I LOVE the snow. It's a tradition in my house now that no matter what time it is, as soon as we get that first snow, we bundle up and go for a little walk. Last year, we didn't realize it had been snowing until we had about six inches on the ground already so we stomped around the parking lot at 1am and it was the best.
I hope you have a really wonderful holiday no matter how you celebrate, and thank you so much for giving me something nice to look forward to all month!

Hello! Do you have any christian songs and artists to recommend?
Beloved! Yes I do! Thanks for asking! Here's a lot of music I love from lots of genres.
some of my Spotify playlists:
current season playlist: advent (I'm working on organizing my Christmas playlists and will share them soon. I don't listen to Christmas music before the 24th, though.)
my in-love-with-Jesus playlist: Yeshua my beloved
my super disorganized song dump: queer Christian vibes
my leftist mix: can I interest you in some Christian Socialism
a trauma/confusion-inspired mix: weird relationship with Christianity
Contemporary Artist Recommendations
Semler—the ultimate queer Christian music icon. They've topped Christian charts multiple times, and make music about being gay, loving their wife, and finding God.
Sufjan Stevens—a classic. the ultimate "is he singing about God or his boyfriend?". has entirely too many weird Christmas songs.
LGBT choruses (compilation)—there's a lovely tradition of queer choruses—most famously The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus. Not usually specifically Christian, but do hymns/Christian choral music.
Peter, Paul & Mary—a group I grew up with that inspired my love of folk and of justice.
Judee Sill—fun bisexual mystic folk-rock from the 70s
Trey Pearson—Christian pop artist who came out in 2016.
The Many—justice/love focused group with indie pop and gospel influences. (x)
All Sons & Daughters—more worship folk, purposefully unpolished.
Page CXVI—want to make hymns "accessible and known again." named after a page from The Magician's Nephew. (x)
Julien Baker—for my indie sad girls.
Vicky Beeching—a classic worship artist who came out in 2014
The Liturgists—part of the art collective of the same name. They also have a podcast.
Liturgical Folk—exactly what it sounds like. Absolutely lovely.
Poor Bishop Hooper—currently working on folk settings of all the Psalms. I also love their Advent/Christmas album.
Albums/Song Shoutouts
Seranade is a pop compilation by various queer artists, collected by the organization Beloved Arise.
The Mountain Goats is one of my favorite bands, and they've made a lot of work inspired/informed by Christianity. Check out their album The Life of the World to Come and their song "Cry for Judas."
The Oh Hellos' album Dear Wormwood has some great rennaissance-fair-vibes Christian bops. They did "Soldier, Poet, King," for the Tiktok-users out there.
"Maybe There's a Loving God" by Sarah Groves has gotten me through a lot of doubt-filled moments.
"Jesus! (A Communist Disco)" is exactly what it sounds like.
"She Keeps Me Warm" by Mary Lambert—which will be familiar to anyone who's heard that one gay Macklemore song—is absolutely beautiful. I don't cry on Sundays anymore. She and her wife are both Christian <3
I heard "VBS" by Lucy Dacus live, and it healed something in me. For the Vacation Bible School survivors.
Musicals/Soundtracks
I wasn't really a theater kid, but only because I was never good enough to audition... Here are some musicals and soundtracks that give me religious feelings.
Spring Awakening is a coming-of-age rock musical about teenagers discovering sex in a strict religious environment. (Warning for suicide, abortion, and sexual content.)
The Prince of Egypt is my favorite religious movie, and the soundtrack could wake me from a coma.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (soundtrack) (Broadway cast) is a great Disney movie, and has been made into a Broadway show. It's about a corrupt church and deals with sex/race/disability issues. Not perfect, but amazing for what it is, which is a kid's movie. I especially recommend the song "God Help the Outcasts." (Warning for normalized use of the word g*psy and for vague discussion of sexual violence.)
Bare is kind of a camp Catholic school musical? That's the best way I can describe it. Never went mainstream, and insanely long. Full of bops nonetheless. (Warning for drug use/overdose.)
Jesus Christ Superstar (Broadway cast) (TV cast)—the classic Andrew Lloyd Webber musical of Jesus' last week, told from the perspective of Judas. I've never enjoyed the movie, but the NBC event slapped. Widely criticized, heavily secular, and my Holy Saturday tradition. (Warnings (obviously) for suicide & torture/execution.)
Fiddler on the Roof is Jewish, not Christian, but is famous for a reason. The prayer songs feel so familiar even though I haven't really been around Jewish music—they just feel like home.
The Prom is centered around a lesbian couple trying to go to prom together. Recently made into a very cute Netflix movie. Deals with with Christian homophobia, especially "Love Thy Neighbor."
Liturgical/Classical/Choral/Hymns:
I grew up with the hymns in the 1978 Lutheran Book of Worship, and one of these days I'm gonna make a playlist of my favorites. (Here's the best one I've found.)
I also grew up around classical musicians, and there are a million pieces I could recommend, but here are my staples.
Lutheran Daily Prayer (Evening/Morning)—the daily liturgy that I'm familiar with. Simple and beautiful.
Benedictines of Mary, Queen of Apostles are an order of nuns who never fail to make me weep.
The National Lutheran Choir does so many beautiful hymns.
Choir of King's College, Cambridge—absolutely unparalleled Christmas albums.
Music of the Passion of Jesus Christ / The London Fox Players
high church hymns (playlist)
Bach's Passions
Rachmaninoff's Vespers
Vivaldi's Gloria
Pergolesi's Stabat Mater
de Monte's Mass Si Ambulavero & Motets
Mozart's Requiem (I think this is my favorite choral piece of all time)
Alright, that's what I got for you today! Happy listening! Everyone reading: drop your recommendations in the replies! No judgement, just vibes.
<3 Johanna

Top 10 Villain Songs of all times.
Because I just watched the worst takes ever in a Ms Mojo video, I'm giving you my own top to scratch the itch and fix the balance in the universe.
The songs will be judged by if they're a bop, make you shiver in genuine fear, or just have perfect aesthetic.
10 : Queen of Mean
Tumblr media
Regrettably, this song is a BOP. Even if every inch of me hates Disney Channel movies and frankly any disney that isn't animated (I didn't watch any Descendant or HSM movie), I must give it to Audrey : she made her point clear and I want to do the same.
9 : You play with the big boys now
Tumblr media
Is it the best song from The Prince of Egypt ? No. It may be Deliver us, but it is probably The Plagues. But none of them are pure villain songs and You play's aesthetic is ON POINT. The animators for this were fucking geniuses. If you weren't an Egyptology nerd kid before, you were now. The perfect balance of artifice and us knowing it's fake, or seeing people believing it anyway, the symmetry of it all, the COLORS and just the overwhelming presence of the Gods' representation... This is a song that swallows you whole and spit you out wet and shivering.
8 : The world's greatest criminal mind
Tumblr media
Let's face it, Ratigan is a disgusting, despicable, hottie. If I got wet over the mouse stripper first, the Rat in Cape did make its place in my dreams more than once. You can taste the megalomaniac and the greed in that song. And it's a fucking bop. So easily, you find yourself singing along... Love me some narcissistic, susceptible, mafia rat.
7 : Shiny
Tumblr media
I don't know, man. That crab does something for me. He's so unapologetically vain and shallow, and I can't really blame him. This one lives in his own reality and it rocks. Only real interactions with others are to be an asshole (cf Maui's insecurities). He's beautiful and hot and he knows it. That's his purpose and he's great at it.
Worth to note that in the french version he says he's 'bling bling' which gives to his performance a 2002 rap song clip's aesthetic. Also in a asexual way, which I appreciate, because he doesn't value himself by a potential mate's desires. He only cares about himself and his own opinion of his appearance. No 'all the girls will fall for me' like we see in Mine. Fabulous. I'd follow him in his reality any day. 10/10 would let him eat me.
6 : In the dark of the Night
Tumblr media
I like Dr Facilier. But necromancy up an army of undead to serve as chorus is Rasputin's thing and he does it better than anyone else could. Ever. The part where he brushes his hair like he was Anastasia is creepy, man. The rest is just soooo good. You fall in love with every insect, you wish you were them to worship the Corpse God. The colors are on point and the music enthralls us to follow. Rasputin is one of the few villains who sound genuinely mad as fuck and out for blood. Sweetie, you're right, kill that bitch.
5 : Hellfire
Tumblr media
The Hunchback is my second favorite animated movie, it's no surprise Hellfire in on the list. Hellfire is something else... The animators in that movie obviously focused all their efforts on light and fire and it shows in the God Help the Outcast scene, when the cathedral spits burning oil, but most of all : with Frollo's scene. Very few villain songs managed to dig so much into their character's personalities and motives than this one. You see the faith, and how it's twisted. You see the guilt, the hate he has for himself that he projects on her, you see the desire and how it clashes against his values burning through his very core and leaving a shell behind, filled with madness and single-focused drive. Frollo may be seen as a mindless monster, but that scene makes us see him as the tortured soul he really is, with more depth than any other character in the movie. This song leaves you horrified and sad, with your heart beating too hard, and your chest raising too wide. Frollo's soul is dragged to Hell under your eyes, and you learned something you'll never forget.
4 : Kill the Beast
Tumblr media
If Gaston's main song is grotesque and scary in how 'normal' it looks, Kill the Beast is bloody terrifying. Genuinely, Gaston and this song are the ones I fear most in all the list. How not only allowed but expected and glorified, this kind of violence and ostratization of the different is, is blood-curdling. Kill the Beast taught me to fear crowds and how easy it is to manipulate them into mindless drive for blood. Mini-me saw themselves at the mercy of such a crowd for the sole crime of being different, and had to accept a truth that they never should have to face. Kill the Beast has an intensity and fury that is far too believable and real. Being human makes us susceptible of being one of them and it's a fucking hard pill to swallow. Every word of it sounds insane if you stop a second to think it calmly. But crowds are foolish and deaf and won't stop and think. In a crowd we lose our individuality and our reason. In a crowd we follow Gaston and his drive to kill. Still stops my heart and induces freeze and flight instinct.
3 : Poor Unfortunate Souls
Tumblr media
Absolute GODDESS ! We all know the chart post. Ursula is sexy and she knows it. She's also smarter than everyone else and knows it, with no respect for any of those lesser fish. I can get behind that far too easily. Triton made the mistake of underestimating her and chase her off the court, and oh boy what a mistake that was. This song is the perfect balance of a siren's luring song and derisive mockery. The Drag Queen aesthetic is here, you hate Ursula but you can't deny she's fucking fabulous and awesome and that you'd let her turn you into a worm if she only looked at you like you were dirt. Ursula is the reason tentacle porn exists. 10/10 I want to bury my face between those breasts just to hear her voice resonate from within.
2 : Be prepared
Tumblr media
Scar has this little something that the others don't have. The bad boy attitude with the battle scar and scrawny stature. This is Famine and Pestilence incarnated, the evil that bid his time. He is THE ultimate lime green villain and he has the best aesthetic of them all. Just look how he walks... No wonder the hyenas followed what he said. I'm a hyena and I was sold the first two notes in. He's not convincing anyone it's the right thing to do. But it's what he's going to do, just wait and see. And he mostly reminds us to choose our side well for soon his will be the winner's. There's only one energy that could make hungry wild and chaotic hyenas yield and walk at pace like an army, and it's his. Be prepared is an hommage Scar sings to himself. It says look at me rising to the top. And we can only look and let our eyes burn from the sight.
Honorable mentions :
Humiliate the boy because it's so over the top it's hilarious and frankly concerning.
Trust in me, because I'd fall for it, that snake can do what it wants with me.
Mine, because if the english version is a meh at best, the french version can rip your pants off. You feel the hunger and greed with every note and that's something you remember forever.
Not one of us, because even if not technically a villain song, has this dark aesthetic, that very very wrong emotion and reason, and slithers into your very core.
1 : Savages
Tumblr media
Colors of the Wind may be the song that won the Oscar, but everybody knows it's only because they couldn't give it to a song that spoke of hatred and racism and war. Savages is the best Pocahontas song, the best villain song, and bloody hell the best animated movie song of all times. This damn thing transports you into a whole other dimension and a maelstrom of conflicting emotions. This is a horrible situation that escalated horribly and you see everything coming to an inexorable and all destructive end. Hatred is the same, no matter your color, and there is no winner in war. Pocahontas as a movie tried to remind us to fight for what we believe is right, no matter who says it's worthless, and that we're more than our fear and violence. But Savages is here to make you see exactly how wars start and how little hope there is to avoid them. Savage taught me of the violence within us, how the world is ruled, how any reason given for hatred and war are just hollow excuses for all fights are for power and blood, and taught me who I wanted to be in the middle of it.
Every damn frame of that clip is a bloody masterpiece and the sight of the reflection of the soldiers on the waterfall has been there behind my eyelid every time I closed my eyes in the past 23 years. The dichotomy of pastels blues and pinks slashing with blood red and night blue followed all along the movie, but is best expressed in this song, and we see it meet in the fire and smoke of an explosion. The dawn tinted everything in fire yellow and orange and we watch the world burn.
100/10. Savages has gutted me times and times again and it still does every time I hear or watch it, even if I watched it 10 000 times already. Made me cry more than once. The hardest fights are not the ones we think.

American song contest liveblog by a local swede part 3
They have started to explain much more what's going on with the votings and all that stuff, I appreciate that
WHO COULD IT BE WHO COULD IT BE IS IT YOU IS IT ME
Kelly's like "are you gonna say that every time haha-"
Everyone's got cowboy hats huh
Also is just everyone from last week just coming in for this results and then I guess they leave???
I didn't expect Knoche to be pronounced like that? Thought it would be like "noche" like spanish for night
KIDS BOP FDZSKYJ
They have subtitles for the songs now ok
Feels like a song they play at the mall tbh
Why are the crowd cheering over them explaining how the performance system works-
Ohh Louisiana has some fun "that one country being a little weirdly edgy at Eurovision" feels, me gusta
Are they changing jury system every week or-
Imagine just performing a song and then the jury was like "haha not as good as the previous song"
"Tennessee is the most musical state of America" he said and sent a generic not memorable song
Help New Jersey's song, what is she DOING
Swinging seductively in a bed... TAKE OF YOUR SHOES, WHY DO YOU HAVE SHOES ON THE BED, THE SHEETS WILL BE DIRTY
Ok you cut your hair? K? Good for you, very deep lyrics here
THE PEOPLE IN THE CROWD LIKE "🙂"
I'M WIDE AWAKE as a start of the song sounded like a certain other song...
I have already forgotten this song.
"That was SO GOOD" I- nah not to me
Florida's singer looks like she is sims cc
Ok every time they have latino music or sing in spanish, I try to define which DCLA show it reminds me of
This is a song they could sing on Soy Luna but I feel like it's more likely it would be on Bia.
Also it reminds me a little of Cielo Grande, which is not a DCLA show since it's on Netflix, but it's made by one of the creators on a DCLA show so
ALSO IT REMINDS ME OF TINI'S MUSIC VIDEOS HJKKCJXHUFC
JEWEL JUST STANDS THERE WAITING WITH HER GUITAR
"This part makes me so emotional" this part of the song or?? Cause I don't feel so emotional
NO HOW CHEESY TALKING MID SONG DZXNLZHK
The choir girls be like "she had some character growth <3"
THEY WERE JUST STANDING THERE FOR A MOMENT HSHSHSH
Love when they are like "old buildings from the 1900s" bro my high school was originally founded in 1246 (obviously it has not been the same building or even been at the same place in town but still)
Ok song, felt like a modern broadway song
Really sounds like several other songs tho
That one "wooooOOOOOOOOOOOO" in the audience dshxfcdj
We got bands like these in Sweden, a group of older men. Though those songs often focus on more "retro" style songs, or is modern sounding but is more like "dance bands", like the type of music you heard on a dance floor in "the good old days". This song did not feel like that, I can't really describe this song. I like it, though. It's fine.
Feels like Delaware girl is trying to be edgy, but I don't feel the edge
WHAT WAS THAT DANCE HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Ok I like it now, i'm gonna refer it as "funny train song"
They are sponsored by the M&M's lol
NANI?!
THE CGI TURTLE
Cozy song, feels like a travelling or montage song in a disney film
RIKER LOOKS LIKE A CHARACTER FROM A CHEESY AMERICAN 00S FILM
R5?!?!? OMG
What is he doing with his shoulders he looks like when a sims 3 sim is flirting
Pretty generic song but it's fine
Love how they try to hide who won but we saw it
Why is the jury always choosing the most generic and forgettable song-
We're ending this liveblog with this screenshot

hey so i read the post about "ramblings about unreality, the BoP, and the journal:" and i had a thought.. If writing things down is a valid way to "Realize" an idea.. Ergo, Oral Storytelling is Also a perfectly valid way to Realize an idea.(also headcannon about Daybreak town: What if Daybreak town was a story Orally told, and then projected into Reality.)
in my interpretation, oral storytelling would definitely work! as i said in the post, any kind of medium should. Again, this is all pure guess work, but according to my made up logic, yes, it pans out lmao. Thanks for the add-on!
Gonna address the hc part under a read more lmao bc i ramble a lot:
Honestly your hc is probably right lmao but imma ramble about it in regards to my og Unreality post. so:
About the hc of Daybreak Town being spoken about, and therefore spawning as a real world--that's tough. Bc the logic of my post was that to spawn a world, it would have to /not/ exist yet. So telling a story of Daybreak Town wouldn't spawn it in Reality, bc, Daybreak Town already exists in reality. Spawning would only work with "fictional" worlds.
BUT! That makes me wonder about "Reality"! Like, what created the "real" worlds, then? The disney worlds, the kh worlds, everything in between (memories, data, dreams)--ALL of it. What created THOSE??
That's an obvious lots of people have already asked and have tried to answer. But I didn't give it any thought in my post bc that post was about Unreality. But now that the question's here, I have to wonder.
How did Daybreak Town come into existence? How did any and all of kh come into existence? If it follows a similar logic to the fictional worlds, that would mean someone /did/ put their imaginings into realization (so basically like your hc says lol), and it resulted in the creation of the kh universe.
Which, duh. Obviously, on a meta level, that's exactly what happened lmao. But I already clarified in my og post that I know on some level it's all just fourth wall stuff. But I'm here thinking about how it would work in-game.
So yeah, there are two possibilities in my mind here: Either Daybreak Town was a world in Reality, or it was a world in Unreality.
And i mostly consider the possibilitiy of it being unreal bc I've heard people suggest that the Scala Ad Caelum we see in Khux could be a different version of the Scala we see in Kh3, since the architecture looks different (bright white in kh3, dark in khux). Of course there could be other reasons for the differences but i'm talking about realities here.
While I don't think Daybreak Town could have been spawned in Reality by someone in kh, if Daybreak Town ended up being in Unreality, it could have therefore been spawned by someone in kh /reality/.
...according to my made up fictional world logic lmao
Another reason i consider the idea of Daybreak Town being in Unreality is bc of the glitches in that world when it was "ending". If fictional worlds did end up being based in something akin to data, that could explain the glitches.
But obviously I can't say for sure whether Daybreak Tow was originally in Reality or Unreality. Not even my opinion is settled on one possibitilty or the other.
To me it seems more likely that Daybreak Town /was/ in Reality because of the clear influence it's left on the present world. Keyblade wielders, the keyblade graveyard, dreameaters, etc. Elements of Daybreak Town are everywhere in present day, so I lean in the direction of it having been in Reality. (except now i'm thinking about the dream/sleeping realm thing in khux)
And this circles back to the original question lmao i ramble a lot. But yeah, according to my made up logic, you can't project a town into reality by telling a story about it.
If the town in the story is real in Reality, then it already existed before you told the story (like Jiminy's Journal records past events, therefore writing them down does nothing).
If the town in the story didn't exist yet, or the events of the story hadn't happened yet even if the town was real, then it still wouldn't spawn in Reality. Because "time is immovable". All of time is set in stone, or at least it's supposed to be. So a made up story taking place in a real town would probably spawn in Unreality instead.
It's like the game lmao. Unreality has real world cities (both as in Shibuya from twewy and Shibuya from real life Japan; and verum rex is based on a real life city too, right). But anyway i'm getting off topic.
So those are my rambling responses. All of this is pure guesswork bs logic, lol, so take it with less than a grain of salt. (fr i have no idea what i'm talking about lol)

just finished writing this and realized how long it got oh jeez i am so sorry. i promise it is just me rambling about nothing and does not require a lot of thought.
i made a playlist of r5's entire discography and am listening to it (in order) because there is something wrong with me. if only it had their very first ever ep on it (ready set rock ep you may have been slight garbage but i don't love you any less for it). oh god i realized i fucked up and didn't add the songs by "ross lynch and r5" from the austin & ally soundtrack. i'm already three songs into louder and they would have been between louder and say you'll stay. what do i have to do is actually one of r5's best songs and i'm pretty sure i remember ross calling it one of his favs fairly recently?? which was so valid of him. anyways. this is now an r5 song ranking. i'm bored and avoiding doing assignments. i'm going to name my top 10 r5 songs off the top of my head. source: me trying to remember every song they've ever released.
no. 1: easy love. nothing comes close. my fav song they ever made. they haven't made anything that even compares since (this is /hj. tde has some valid songs).
no. 2: wishing i was 23. what do you mean i only love this song because of my nostalgia bias no i don't.
no. 3: what do i have to do? i will not elaborate i do not know why i adore this song as much as i do it's just a cute song.
no. 4: repeating days. THE END. THE FUCKING END AFTER THE SONG ENDS THE "all i've got is cheap wine" PART ross sounds so vulnerable and him with just the guitar makes me so :(((((( it's so gorgeous that part makes the whole song and that makes it top 3 for me.
no. 5: i want u bad. THAT SONG FUCKS LIVE. I DO NOT WANT TO THINK ABOUT THE FACT THAT I WILL PROBABLY NEVER SEE IT LIVE AGAIN. (speaking of concerts i can't believe you bought concert tix and fucking forgot??? that is actually so fucking funny bella it made me laugh i will not lie)
no. 6: dark side. so so valid of them. it just fucks. it's so good. it makes u want to dance. u named a fic after a lyric from it which was so valid.
no. 7: did you have your fun? i love this song. no i will not elaborate. it is a sexy song. what's that one lyric from it that's hot. "love me, leave me, left me numb" some lyrics you love for no particular reason and for me that's one of those lyrics.
no. 8: f.e.e.l.g.o.o.d. this has alwayysss been one of my favs by them. since it dropped. some lore about it: the like crowd yelling that's in it they recorded live at a festival they played and i remember there being hype about this being an unreleased song when they had the crowd chanting "f-e-e-l-g-o-o-d" with no explanation. also another fun fact is that the final version of this is just a demo?? source: my slightly faulty memory remembering ross saying something about some demos being so good that you keep them as they are and it later being revealed this was the song he was talking about.
no. 9: i know you got away. sexy song. they released a vocals only version of it (that has apparently since been deleted?? i went to look for it on youtube and couldn't find it?? wtf r5) that has stuck with me ever since.
no. 10: loud. but more specifically the acoustic or live version. this was their encore song that they played to end every show. i MISS IT. it holds a special place in my heart.
honorable mentions: hurts good (a good song and THEIR LAST THEY EVER RELEASED VV SAD), wild hearts (fun fact almost picked a lyric from this song as my senior quote till i found out they didn't write this song), fallin' for you (YOU LIKE MISMATCHED SOCKS WITH POLKA DOTS YOU LIKE YOUR PIZZA COLD I THINK THATS HOT i never saw this song live and i'm still fucking pissed about it ok), do it again (it's such a sweet song :(((( "listen to the airplanes as we count the stars" gives me the same vibes as six feet under the stars), things are looking up (generally just a cute song!! this whole ep is just very good and very cute!! when i saw it live one time during the bridge ross was like "everyone shut up this is my favorite part >:(" and that was so valid of him) i can't say i'm in love (it's just a fun song!! it was a bonus track on sln from another country), trading time (this is the only song from the new addictions ep that i listed and u know what i'm Not sorry)
ok. i will spare you and stop rambling. other honorable mentions: if you have never listened to cool girl (feat. the driver era) by new beat fund i highly recommend. it's an okay song but it was one of the first songs released after they rebranded as tde and includes ross saying motherfucker with his whole chest. i will never again feel what i felt the first time i heard that song having listened exclusively to them as r5 whose songs they couldn't curse in because they were on a disney label.
in conclusion. i miss r5. ross saying fuck is kinda hot. i listened to the entirety of louder while writing this. i am sorry to dump this in your askbox. i still have multiple assignments to do and should probably go to sleep at a decent time. it feels fitting to finally stop writing while easy love is on. when i was 12 and this ep came out i thought "dirtbags" was a curse word and was scared to sing it. they changed it to "douchebags" live.
that's all. goodbye. have a lovely night. listen to r5's discography for clear skin thriving crops etc etc. sorry to lovepost about them in your askbox i only have (1) former r5 mutual that i still talk to (a very interesting but long story. she's the gemini bestie) and she will only lovepost about r5 once in a while. feel free to ignore my ask calling cody bellinger hot i was a different person when i wrote it i am now a changed woman. LOVE YOU MWAH - bella but she misses r5
