Mimikyu Facts

-The scientific name for mimkyu is "Tractis desiatria" which translates to "Tangible desire"

-You should never try and remove Mimikyu's costume for the danger it poses to you, and it can permanently damage your Mimikyu's trust in you

-Mimkyu's line on the evolution tree is very difficult to discuss and classify. Researching them is also incredibly difficult from how dangerous just seeing them is. Since what has been observed, they seem to be a black gaseous form, so researchers theorize they're relayed to the Ghastly line

-Mimikyu have been known to make costumes for other popular pokemon, the most common variant being Eevee. Nothing changes with behavior, though

-Like most ghost types, they don't need to eat, instead just being able to feed on the life force and emotions of other living things. To prevent anyone from getting hurt, you can contact your local pokemon center or league to arrange an ethical feeding plan

-However, in the wild when being observed by people, they have been known to eat berries and foods that Pikachu will eat. This stops once they think they aren't being watched

-Mimikyu get very jealous around Pikachu, and they shouldn’t be kept near each other. This isn't present with Pichu and disappears with Raichu

-Mimikyu are known to be very good at crafting and sewing

-They're very clingy Pokemon and can get jealous easily in general

-All Mimikyu desire in life is affection and love, and they're willing to overlook the negative traits their trainer has as long as they're loved. This makes abuse in Mimikyu very common, since they won't care

-Mimikyu are very protective of their disguises and will avoid things like rain or snow to protect them. They can and will freak out if their disguise has a minor scratch on them, and they're very big neat-freaks

-Mimikyu are able to store a lot of items in their costumes

-While Mimikyu can breed, they don't breed normally since they can't be seen. Instead, they'll just put sperm into the Pokemon of the opposite sex

-Mimikyu will often hide in toy stores in hopes of someone mistaking them for a toy and taking them home

-Mimikyu are long living and it isn't known if they can die old age or natural causes

nah but for real may i offer u some creatures that are just. assigned. i do not imagine them as anything else anymore

(girafarig yakumo, rockruff garu, hisuian zoroark kuya)

#i didn't want to take the easy way out and give yakumo a snake based pokemon.... but i mean... if the vibe fit i wouldn't complain #unfortunately. the vibe did NOT fit.#seviper? no. arbok? nope. serperior?? do i see ANY part of yakumo that acts as smug as snivy looks? Naaaaaahhhhhhhh #WELL!!! UNTIL THERE IS A MORE FITTING SNAKE POKEMON. girafarig.#cue me scrolling down the entire pokedex staring at the tiny sprites trying to get a read on who would fit which clan member #i ended up collecting a lot of POSSIBILITIES but after a while i wasn't sure if they were more suited to BEING the character...#vs being OWNED by the character #for example. with blade. i just started putting all the little weirdos under his jurisdiction. WAILORD. LUVDISC. ALOLA EXEGGUTOR. CHARJABUG #ok maybe blade wouldn't be inkay but tell me he wouldn't absolutely love it and call it cute #i even found new pokemon . unknown to me. . but they seemed cool? so why not put em on the list #i gotta say i'm a lil upsetti that i couldn't find an appropriate vessel for aster. the closest i could get was meowth/persian #and that just feels. cheap. pardon the wording #drawing these guys catapulted me back in time to when i was 4 years old #p sure pokemon was one of the first things that got me to draw?#wow and here we r today #may just. draw more pokemans later. kimda wanna see altaria rei #pokemon crossover #yakumo #garu #kuya

What are some fun facts about Dhelmise?

I want one on my team because I think they are Nifty but I don't know much about them

Dhelmise Facts

-The genus name for Dhelmise is "Ligna anchora" which roughly translates to "Wood anchor"

-Dhelmise aren't actually the anchors, but the seaweed attached to the anchors. It's thought that they do this because floating around as (possessd) kelp would make them an easy target for predators

-While the Pokemon aren't biologically related at all, researchers still put them in the same family as Trevenant for both being ghosts inside of plants

-While a lot of people fear Dhelmise, they don't actually see humans as prey since we're "too small" for their taste. Their watchful, and are okay with watching divers pass by. However, it is still not a good idea to approach them, as they are careless when swinging around their anchor and it can seriously hurt someone

-Dhelmise are very difficult to care for because of their height, their heavy anchors which can break a lot of objects, and their expressionless faces. Only attempt to train one if you're an experienced trainer

-Researchers theorize that the reason they get along with Skrelp so well is that Skrelp is able to use their poison to help Dhelmise's seaweed become more dangerous, which would be able to help them hunt their prey more. Skrelp also gets a safe place to live, as not many Pokemon go near Dhelmise

-They are most commonly found in the still waters of the deep sea, but they're have been instances where they appear near the surface

-Dhelmise's compass usually always points north, but they turn when locating prey or a large object comes nearby

-They also use the compass as a way of expressing their emotions (which only really appears with their trainers, as they're solitary in the wild and don't need to do that much)

-Only a few of the largest aquariums around the world have Dhelmise in them

-They're shown to have big emotions torwards sailors and pirates, and the emotions can vary between each one. Some wild Dhelmise will go out of their way to protect them from harm, while others will go out of their way just to harm them. Researchers still aren't sure as to why

The only thing Silva didn't like about Alola was the heat. Primarily because the majority of Alola was too hot for Boreas to be outside of his pokeball for a prolonged period of time.

Despite the controversial topic of mega-evolving Pokemon and the amount of stress and pain it causes the Pokemon targeted, of course it has been something Leon has researched personality many times. He’s battled only a hand few of trainers who does utilize the technique, so it has been worth his while to know the sort of power’s limitations and power outputs.

However he had looked into both the Charizardite X and Y. Out of the two of them, he’d rather have Y if only because it doesn’t seem to put as much of a strain on the Pokemon from what little research has shown.

Cherry, however, would love to see just how powerful she can become, limitations be damned.

Hiker pokemon team, but it's based entirely on how realistically useful I think each pokemon would be

#Noivern is my most hesitant on this list #Their ability to break rocks on their pokedex entry is what sold my though #While I prefer crowbat due to the smaller size I do think Noivern would be more useful in case of emergency #Lapras is there due to the commonness of water in caves that require surf #While I was hesitant on them and was thinking about getting a more redilly accessible pokemon for the average person #The fact of them being part ice type and that they naturally appear in caves in sinnoh is what sold me on them #Excadrill and absol are there for obvious reasons #Mudsdale is also there for obvious reasons due to how they help in alola #along with the fact that they are the pokemon in this team I would trust most if their trainer needed to be carried to safety #My fire type was the hardest pick #Turinator or macargo were some of my first picks‚ however they were scrapped due to being at risk of being killed #or causing a worse disaster in case of a cave in or another event of something similar #Talonflame was my ACTUAL first pick‚ not only for the fire type but also for the pokemon that can learn fly #They were decided against though due to not being able to see in the dark (or at least that not being hinted at in their pokedex entries)#while both crowbar and noivern can #my last potential choice was heatmor but they were also scrapped due to their fire's riskyness of going out easily (same with torkrol)#I decided this team could be sufficient without a fire type‚#but still the worry of the hiker being caught in a place where they can't escape and are without heat persuaded me to make a second team #I settled on centiskorc due to it's thin size #The ability to get in very tight spaces without brute forcing through them was one my team lacked and I wanted to amend that #that and finding a fire type that looked reasonable outweighted my hesitancy over the lack of pokedex entries
