Can we talk about how we definitely don’t give the Magnus Chase books enough credit? Like these books are such a beautiful depiction of coming to terms with grief and finding purpose in new relationships. Magnus’ struggle to accept his mother’s death and his guilt over it culminating in a beautiful moment where he feels her love and presence with and for him in his battle with Surt. The horrific despair he feels whenever someone around him is hurt, literally moving him to tears every time, even when it’s Gunilla, someone who has been actively hunting him. The line about how they are all empty cups, but that they can share each other’s burdens instead of filling themselves with pain. Just the beautiful bonds these characters who have each been isolated in their own way have formed with each other. How each of these characters have every right to be bitter and spiteful as a result of the tragedy in their lives, but choose love and each other at every turn.

There’s a general consensus that above all else Jason should be homicidal again. However I think what’s also very important is that he should be a fucking hoot.
There’s nothing not funny about this entire bit.
1. He couldn’t give less of a shit about explaining that he’s single-handedly trying to stop a terrorist attack. Obviously cause he’s short on time, but even if he had all the time in the world he would still be this indifferent towards explaining himself to cops.
2. This bomb is seconds away from exploding but he’s at most mildly annoyed like he’s in the office doing some menial task.
3. The perfectly timed British jokes.
4. Circling back to number 1 on the list. After he throws the bomb into the water he just dips. For all they know he’s the (weird) terrorist. (But as long as everyone’s okay he doesn’t care! The beauty of Jason Todd everybody).
This one is funny (but it’s also true)? Like yes … that is exactly what you are. (A sweet, kind-hearted goodboy learning how to effectively poison people, shoot guns, and blow shit up with all manner of explosives like a certified pro).
Bonus:
Red Hood: The Lost Days #5 (2010-)
Red Hood: The Lost Days #4 (2010-)
“Not so irritating for an American” is a far more impressive title than “genius” if you ask me. Although I think Jason balances both pretty well.

Even though I did not ship them, I will always be a little bit heartbroken over how the relationship between Gale and Katniss ends. They were like family to one another, so essential to the other’s survival, the only person Katniss could be herself around for a long time before the games. They were so close that the other’s family become their own, with Katniss taking care of Gale’s family and vice-versa. They knew each other so well, were so acquainted with one another’s ticks and heartbeats and quirks. I really enjoyed their friendship and it’s so so sad to me to watch them drift apart during the third book until they finally just cut contact with one another. I will always be an Everlarker, do not get me wrong, but Katniss and Gale’s friendship was so special and it sucks the way it ended. It just goes to show that war really does taint every relationship, every part of your life, everything that makes you the person you are.

By the nine hells, I just read the worst reddit post about Gale. I either want to punch someone or bleach my eyes. Or both.
Not only it's full of bad takes but also exaggeration, bordering on lies, from the OP. And the sheer toxicity (in regards to Gale) in the comments.... my god.
I thought BG3 fandom supposed to be good at understanding complex writing. What happened here AAAAAAA

If Larian takes away the breakup argument before I even get a chance to explain why it’s IC, because the shits can’t handle bad press, I’m going to be very mad.
Heaven forbid the woman with a lot of emotional issues isn’t sunshine and rainbows like people want, and will snap at your character the moment things aren’t going right because she’s projecting on Dark Urge for so many reasons and already has an unhealthy attachment to them right away and so many other reasons. (And YES it’s in character.)
There is no realistic way that we can know what the writers have in mind. People make fun of being able to kiss her after, but who knows it might be just a couples fight we don’t know. None of us work for Larian on this blasted website or know Emma Gregory. And it’s too early to tell in terms of this because they’re literally FINALLY putting in previously inaccessible scenes and it’s a slow process. We might not even have the full picture yet, we don’t know.

corey chose revenge over freedom, he chose death over life, and he chose himself over allyson, he just used michael to do it.
corey literally has the chance to leave, to just run away with allyson and never, ever go back to haddonfield. he's already killed the people who have done wrong by allyson, but he chooses to stay (just a bit longer) so he can have his own revenge. does he know he might not have a chance to leave afterwards? maybe. does he even have it in him to just walk away and leave things unfinished? i don't think so.
when corey kills for allyson, he's sloppy. he makes mistakes. he's still learning. he needs michael to help him, whether he wants that help or not. he gets the job done but there's less flair. there's less passion.
however, the most brutal kills are for himself, and no one else. his halloween night kills are tortuous, and personal and deliver a certain sort of poetic justice. you can tell he's truly enjoying it -- not just the rush of the kill but the joy and relief of killing the people who have used, and abused, and hurt him. it's like he's having this huge breakdown but also trying to self-heal (in a really fucked up way) at the same town. his breakdown is his healing.
for those kills, he takes michael's mask. i think he takes the mask to feel like the people that hurt him are getting the worst punishment -- he wants to deal out the worst of the worst for them, and how better to embody that than to become michael. michael who has had a crushing grip on this town for years, the one person everyone is unanimously afraid of.
but then i also feel like he wears the mask for those killings to fulfil a tiny part of him that always wanted someone to come and save him. he'd been waiting a long time for this higher power, be it his dad, god, his soulmate, fate or anyone, to save him (because surely things have to get better, right?!) and it never came.
but now he is that higher power -- he gets to play god (or play michael, the closest thing to god he's ever found) -- and he's going to save himself. he's going to destroy everything that ever hurt him, if it's the last thing he ever does.

On my SECOND attempt at rewatching The 100 and yet again I am considering just. Not finishing it lmao Season 3 is painful enough already even ignoring what happens in 3x07, how the fuck am I supposed to survive four more seasons without flying into a rage for every single second of the experience
So tempted to just ask someone for a Clarke & Madi scenepack and never watch another minute of this dumbfuck show for the rest of my life because those two are like the biggest reason I agreed to finish the show in the first place 😭 Genuinely don’t care about anything else, the characters are shit except for a small handful, the storylines are shit the writing is shit this show is SHIT and I’m so bored of it. I’m happy for anyone who can enjoy it outside of Clexa but I don’t understand y’all one bit, I wish I was as joyful as you
