I’m currently on book tour in France, and I’m posting these free comics publicly on my Patreon.
I’m technically most of the way done with the first leg of the tour, but I wanna be present for it, so I’m just doing these on the train and in my hotel when I’m not too tired. Enjoy!
do you mean "i love you" as in "i love you"? or do you mean "i love you" as in "every time i see you all the rays of the sun are all streaming through the waves in your hair and every star in the sky is taking aim at your eyes like a spotlight. the beating of my heart is a drum and it's lost and it's looking for a rhythm like you. you can take the darkness from the pit of the night and turn it to a beacon burning endlessly bright. i've gotta follow it 'cause everything i know well it's nothing 'til i give it to you"?

submitter notes:
two less lonely people in the world: its just sung with such careful passion. man.
there is a light that never goes out: The Smiths have a lot of songs dealing with loneliness and messing up potential romances, and this is the most famous of them all for good reason: it’s about a narrator who has no place to call home, who finds something close to joy with another person, and messes it up at the right moment. The most romantic thing they can even think to say is telling their love interest how they’d be honored to die in a car crash with them.
