Hey kids, a bunch of North America is on fire again, and the air quality in the places catching the smoke from weather patterns is somewhere between gangrenous and dogshit.
Please wear a mask when you're outside! (You should still be wearing them inside, but I can only say that so many times. Just kidding, I'm gonna keep saying it.)
If the air in your living space is getting smoky, see if you have the materials or can get them for a Corsi-Rosenthal Box!
NYC had literally the worst air quality on the planet yesterday.

The smoke from all the wildfires in Canada are blanketing the area in terrible haze. It's been going on for a couple of days now but it's getting worse. Feeling bad for anyone with lung disease or asthma. We also haven't had any substantial rain in a while (it rained for like 2 minutes last night). So, we need some rain pretty badly even though I usually hate rain, I can admit it's much needed at this point.
It looks like the worst is yet to come, we're supposed to be getting more tomorrow. Gross.

Still under an air quality alert. Probably will be for quite some time. I had an appointment with my therapist so I had to go out. My weather app didn't say Haze like it did yesterday. Today it flat-out said Smoke. We could see to, very faintly. We definitely felt it.
Prayers to those in Canada and anyone else affected by these wildfires.

Neighbors, it appears there has been an air quality alert sent out in New York due to smoke from wildfires in Canada lingering over into the city. City officials are urging New Yorkers with heart or breathing issues to limit outdoor activities.

There are currently 150 wildfires happening in east central Canada (Quebec) with 110 of them being deemed out of control. The forest fires began emerging a little over a month ago. Pictures and videos of bridges and buildings throughout the city surrounded in an orange-like haze are beginning to trend on social media platforms as the air quality index reached a 342 compared to its usual 100 index.

New York has been listed as the most polluted state of any other major world city this past Wednesday as the air continues to get worse. Weather sources are now comparing the levels of air quality to that of India and New Delhi.

As of right now, New York will reportedly continue under an Air Quality Health Advisory until Thursday morning due to wind patterns pushing the smoke further towards the city. Fox weather meteorologist Stephen McCloud tells us the city should start to see improvement in the air by Sunday night.

Any of my mutuals being affected by these Canada wildfires? I’m in NY with an unhealthy air quality index. There’s that yellow hue like after severe thunderstorms but with smog that feels apocalyptic lol. I’m always amazed how this stuff can spread so far, like I literally smell the smoke. I hope any of my followers who might be in the affected areas of Canada are ok!

Via NWS Morristown: North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality has issued a Code Red Health Advisory for the southwest North Carolina area… IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EST FRIDAY NIGHT including Cherokee County NC in the #WDEFNews12 viewing area.
A Code Red Air Quality Alert for Particulate matter means ground level Particulate matter concentrations within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards. Everyone may begin to experience health effects. Active children and adults, and people with a respiratory disease such as Asthma, avoid prolonged outdoor exertion. Everyone else, especially children, limit prolonged outdoor exertion.
