This lady is at Panera Bread experiencing the effects of microaggression. As in the video you can see the older lady keeps saying things about the lady recording when she is simply sitting there. She goes on saying mean things and rudely questioning the lady. The race of the lady is unknown but the questions the older lady asked suggests she may be a minority. The older lady then takes her anger out on other people in Panera Bread who are just trying to de-escalate the situation.
https://youtu.be/fzvbx25xqnU
This video demonstrates racialization because a woman isn’t letting a man go because he “doesn’t belong”, but it is really because he is black. This lady assumes the men are trespassing at a Mercedes dealership based on their race. This is also an example of stereotypes that black people or minorities don’t belong in places that may be considered expensive. This lady didn’t know these men at all but wouldn’t let them leave.
This also displays white supremacy because she doesn’t question any other people that are there but questions and assumes the black people don’t belong. She thinks she is better than them because she is white. It wouldn’t be out of the ordinary for white people to be at a Mercedes dealership but because the are black they are good enough to be there.

The death of Ahmaud Aubrey is an extreme result of individual racism. Cops targeted Ahmaud because of their own thoughts on him and killed him. There was prior motivation to the death of Aubrey and the police tried to cover it up.
https://www.history.com/.amp/news/the-infamous-40-year-tuskegee-study
Institutional racism is displayed in healthcare. In the 1930’s, the Tuskegee Institute conducted a syphilis study on 600 black men. They were to be promised free medical care but some died within the process. Tuskegee Institute had the power and chose to only recruit black men, which is racist. They chose these men based on their backgrounds with most of the men being sharecroppers. These men couldn’t deny free medical care but i’m sure they didn't know the intensity of the study.

Emma Watson and Kiernan Shipka are examples of phenotype because they share facial similarities. People thought they were related because they look so much alike but they aren’t. They have high cheekbones, pointy chins, and straight noses so there were assumptions. People based their thoughts of them being related based on physical appearance and not genetics. There are a lot of people who have their look alikes but that is solely based on appearance.

I’ve been dreaming a lot more lately for better or worse. I wouldn’t call them nightmares but they’re definitely extensions of the banal horror of real life happening around me everyday. The day after I spoke about the walkable city ordinance near trains, everyone of my neighbors starts construction on their homes. Like every sidewalk is blocked with cement mixers and table saws and shit. There was a ladder from next door just set up in front of our mailboxes. I saw somebody with a walker having to bypass the Main Street for the alley when I went to do my laundry. My downstairs neighbor and the people who own the house by the train make it a point to be seen when I’m headed to the laundromat. It’s fucking creepy. I caught that guy making it a point to run in the freezing cold the day Ahmaud Aubrey’s killers were being sentenced. It’s either jogging or t-shirts with these people. You know what they’re on. Just like I kind of figured out what some people were on about here on tumblr. It’s like they’re working together online to target me with things I post on my blog. I’m staying indoors all day. I paid my rent six days in advance just so there is no trouble. But I’m living in hell. They at least cleaned up the rest of the porch for the most part. I don’t really feel comfortable hanging out there. I blocked somebody offering me a department of defense top secret clearance job on linked in. We’ve got the perfect opportunity to work in your neighborhood. What for the cia selling crack? Or do you want me to deliver honey and sunflowers to Taiwan? You’d probably have to join the military either way. I’m a registered conscientious objector with the United church of Christ by the way. I had to submit it along with ten forms of identification to renew my passport once. You aren’t dealing with a normal skill set. So stop dragging me into geopolitics like Taiwan. Maybe focus on COVID in your own country since it hasn’t gone away. 🇺🇸

Some things you guys need to know about Ahmaud’s case:
Currently the attorney is only doing a grand jury case not an actual murder trial
This means that the jury is presented with evidence and decides if there is a good enough reason to proceed with a trial
Because of the current lockdowns due to the pandemic the courts are not operating right now
At the earliest the grand jury case will happen in June but that’s not realistic
He was murdered in FEBRUARY. It has taken them almost THREE MONTHS to do anything. And what they are doing is saving face. There is absolutely no reason why a grand jury is needed. They have sufficient evidence.
They are hoping that the grand jury will be in favor of not continuing further and opening a murder trial for multiple reasons. They are trying to put the blame on others and abuse the justice system to make it seem like their hands are tied.
Do not go quiet. Do not forget about it. Do not let them get away with murder. And that goes for everyone, not just the people who hunted Ahmaud down.

Makeshift Tear-Gas Mask
Step 1: Use the permanent marker to draw a U-shaped area big enough to fit your face.
Step 2: Cut away the bottom of the bottle just above the ridged area and discard it.
Step 3: Cut along the lines of the template to remove the U-shaped section.
Step 4: Use a single length of foam insulation to fold over the edges of the bottle until it is completely covered.
Step 5: Remove the two elastic bands and metal bridge from the surgical mask. Set the elastic bands aside and discard the metal bridge. Push the mask down into the neck of the bottle.
Step 6: Make four small holes in the sides of the mask. Feed the ends of the elastic bands through the holes and tie them off so they can be pulled back through. Seal the holes with glue to prevent leaks in the mask. Carry a bottle of vinegar to soak the mouth cover before putting on the mask.
Please be safe out there everyone.

please read.
1619 - African’s are kidnapped and brought to America as slaves.
Calvin McDowell and 3 others - 1892
hanged for complaining about a competitor.
Charles Willis - 1894
shot and burned in his bed for small crimes.
John Henry James - 1898
lynched for accusation of raping a white woman.
Willie Wilkins - 1919
killed for befriending a murder but played no part.
Henry Lowry - 1921
murdered for asking for his wages.
Willie James Howard - 1944
forced to jump to his death after showing affectionate feelings to a white girl.
Isadore Banks - 1954
lynched for being financially successful with white associates.
Emmett Till - 1955
lynched and left in a river for flirting with a white woman.
Willie Turks - 1982
killed for driving through a white-majority neighborhood.
Trayvon Martin - 2012
shot when with his father visiting his fiance.
Michael Brown - 2014
killed when innocent by a white police officer.
Ahmaud Aubery - 2020
cornered by father and son and shot.
George Floyd - 2020
suffocated by a white police officer.
All were innocent African-American men who were lynched and murdered on the course of over 100 years.
It shows that we, as a country, have not changed and we have yet to better ourselves. It shows that white privilege does exist and if you are white, you should admit to having it. It shows that no matter who you are, you will always be treated differently for your skin color.
But it doesn’t have to mean that.

I was at the protests in LA and had comrades on the ground in Seattle. We both witnessed absolutely disgusting things today. I witnessed many innocent and peaceful protestors being shot at with rubber bullets and tear gas. My friend, who is a certified EMT, had never seen anything like this today. She was near two children who were tear gassed by an officer. They started shutting off cell phone service in LA and the police have turned off their body cams in Seattle by orders along with taping their badge numbers. This is quickly being escalated by the police force across the United States. Some of us are going to die please don’t let it be in vain.

I’m not even going to include a title here because we are all already aware of what is happening. Everyone that has any kind of platform no matter how small has an influence, myself included, which means that we must speak up to raise awareness on this topic. It’d be easy for me to post a meaningless “all life matters” or “stop police brutality” quote on here and call it a day.
BUT THAT WONT SOLVE ANYTHING.
For all of you protesting in American right now my heart is with you and please stay safe. Memorise and write down emergency numbers, wear protective clothing, stay nourished and strong.
For others like myself who live in other countries far away from the fight: PLEASE DONATE, SIGN PETITIONS, USE YOUR VOICE/PLATFORM, EDUCATE YOURSELF, YOU ARE A PART OF THIS! Help in any way that you can!! Keep up to date on the issue from all angles, not just what you see on news broadcasts to the masses and your favourite celebrity’s Instagram feed.
Never forget what this is about: protecting and fighting for people who have been oppressed, victimised and killed by our society for centuries!

I fucking hate America.
I will never be proud of this country, because there is almost nothing to be proud of.
The government is broken.
The police are killing innocent people.
America is an absolute shitshow and if I could move I could. Living in the forest away from civilization would be nice.
When peaceful protests no longer work we must become violent, because otherwise there will be no change.
