Hugging Headcanons. || Ft: Dark Cacao Kingdom

A/n: Surprise surprise! Guess who's alive? Such absence was caused by me being bad at keeping a solid schedule and then wanting to play Crk more than I wanted to write. Things are now being worked on heavily though!

Maybe a tiny spoiler warning for episode 14 on Affogato's? It's the last two bullets, so you can just scroll right past it if you do not wish to see spoilers. It doesn't spoil too much, I don't think.

Dark Cacao Cookie

You low-key might suffocate a tiny bit depending on the context of your hug.

If he hasn't seen you for a while, (I.e. on an adventure with the other ancient heroes) you can expect to be trapped in his armored arms until he decides to go and rest after a draining trip.

If you happen to spontaneously hug him whilst somewhere public, he'll give you an awkward side hug in response, since he doesn't want to break the stony demeanor he maintains to the other cookies.

If you're having an emotional moment while hugging and someone else walks in, the expression he gives the intruder is enough to send them scrambling away and mumbling apologies.

The cape goes around both of you. And then you're trapped in a cave of warmth.

Affogato Cookie

Smug bastard. If you ask, he'll give you some holier than thou remark before obliging, making a grand gesture with his arms and inviting you to come closer. Don't worry, he won't bite.

He'll wrap both his arms around your shoulders and pull you into his chest.

Probably gives you some stupid (not) reassuring words if you happen to be upset about something.

Bestie is not good at comforting. He's had a hundred and one problems, but a sad cookie has not been one of them.

If his vibe wasn't totally off, he'd probably give pretty comfortable hugs, seeing how his elegant clothing is made with soft silks and lined with fine fur.

If, after the events of episode 14, you do encounter him again (and don't hate him), he will most likely gladly accept a hug. His holier than thou demeanor will not falter, but he was secretly looking for a little comfort after so much work went to waste.

His hugs are probably a little more genuine than they were during his time as Royal Advisor.

Caramel Arrow Cookie

Older sister vibes

She'll hug you pretty tightly more often than not. Usually in the child way where they intentionally squeeze you like a boa constrictor, except she's an adult with wilderness training and she is significantly stronger than a child.

Awkward sibling hug? Awkward sibling hug. *pat pat.* /ref

H o l d. She'll grab you under your arms and lift you up into a hug. She will attempt to do this regardless of if you are taller or heavier than her. Caramel Arrow is strong, do not underestimate her determination.

(Using the bow and arrow gives you good arm strength last I checked)

If she's feeling playful, she'll outright throw you into the snow afterwards. And then she'll sprint off as quickly as possible. Unless you happen to drag her down with you.

Hugs often turn into snowball fights.

Crunchy Chip Cookie

He was embarrassed the first time you hugged him, and probably hid his face against your shoulder.

Really aggressive hugger. He'll probably squeeze you as hard as he can.

H o l d. (pt 2.) Crunchy Chip Cookie is the type to try and pick you up with a hug, do the awkward backward lean so that he can actually get your feet off the ground, and then drop you. Believe it or not, picking someone up via hugs is not the easiest feat.

When he's determined to hug you after being out at his post for an extended period of time, he'll outright charge at you and then knock you into the snow.

Prepare to get mauled by an excited cookie and his equally excited cream wolves.

If Caramel Arrow wasn't there to pry him off, you'd probably freeze before you got the chance to get out of the snow again.

He will pretend to be sparring with you if anyone happens to walk by (ahem, Dark Cacao.) He doesn't want to look soft or anything! (Please imagine the thing cats do where they randomly attack you while petting them.)

"Darling, I love you with all my heart, but just where do you plan on taking me at 1 in the morning?"

A confused and groggy Affogato Cookie followed closely behind a for some reason very awake and bubbly you, not understanding why you decided to drag him out of bed in the middle of the night. Though, he figured you probably wouldn't be answering his question, as all you said in response was, "It's important!" before continuing to pull him down the hall.

A few minutes later, the two of you found yourselves in the kitchen. Affogato gave you a confused look. "Why-" "We're baking midnight snacks and you can't say no!" You quickly cut him off before you rushed to grab the necessary supplies to make some sweet treats.

"Okay, but why-" "I know you like sweets, and I'm hungry, so it's a win-win! Now help me bake these!" Once again cutting him off, you didn't give him any time to respond before dragging him to the mixing bowl and telling him what to do.

After about an hour, the two of you were finally able to take the snacks out of the oven and properly enjoy eating them. "Here, you can have the first one!" You offered, swiftly placing one of the treats in Affogato Cookie's hands. He looked at you for a moment before taking a bite.

The moment he tasted it, his expression lit up. "Oh wow," he spoke between bites, "It's almost hard to believe we made something so sweet! This is absolutely delicious, dear." You gave him a cheeky grin, "Of course it tastes good! We put our hearts into it, after all!"

He couldn't help but smile at your cheesy statement.

To him, your words tasted sweeter than any snacks he's ever had.

Did anyone notice how the belts on some cookies are the same as Dark Cacao's and how some are different? Lemmie show you, all these belts have the same pattern as Dark Cacao's

I honestly think it might be discerning their faction, I thought it was discerning rank at first but then I realized that Caramel Arrow would have a medium-ranking belt which is just not the case with her.

I also thought it might have been age as well but then I realized that Affogato Cookie (who seemingly has been in the citadel for a while now) would have had a child belt. (due to most children having a purely blank belt.) Adding onto this, a blank belt is a basic belt, not discerning any faction.

I also think that they probably are only given their faction belt once they are of age as I would assume people probably go out for certain factions so not showing it off until you're able to protect yourself is probably a good idea. Or maybe is just showcasing your age/battle capability and ability to go into battle if someone needs to make a quick judgment of who needs to leave in a battle situation.

Plus, me being me bringing this back to Dark Choco and Dark Cacao, it would make the fact that Dark Choco has no belt an angsty detail because he essentially saying that he isn't in the faction anymore <3

You always were a very bold and clever person

That's why both Dark Cacao and Affogato cookie has their eyes on you

Affogato was much more open with his affection towards you

Constantly referring to you as his 'favorite toy'

You'd expect him to give you less work, seeing that you are his favorite

That title held quite the opposite impact, though

He gave you extra work, and said things like;

"You're tough, I know you can handle it," or

"You wouldn't want to disappoint me now! I know what you're capable of, so I expect your 100%."

You snap at him a lot and refuse to go on some of the absurd missions

He says he honestly loves you, but everyone knows he just enjoys the thrill of a hard-to-get.

Affogato's affection is fake and used mainly for his own benefit

He rarely gives gifts, unless he wants something

Dark Cacao's affection is different though

He isn't nearly as open with his love, but people still notice it

He isn't a man of many words, so his love language is gift giving and acts of service

Dark Cacao is also constantly looking over you, as well

When you two are in public, he always makes the point to stand next to you

He is also much less cold

And people swear they see him smile

If you show the slightest interest in something, it's yours

Affogato sees how much Dark Cacao is interested in you

He is not happy about it.

Next time he calls apun you, he starts manipulations the life out of you

"Do you not love me as I love you? Seeing you act that way with the king.. it feels like a betrayal. Are we not made for each other?"

Affogato just wants you on his side so he can use it against the king if something goes wrong in his plan

You make it very clear in that interaction that you have no interest in him.

Affogato became more passive aggressive after that

Sending you on harder missions, making your tasks start at annoying times like 3:00 in the morning, or just making you the cleaning maid.

Though the king is oblivious to many of Affogato's plans, he does notice this

He apologizes and gets you a bunch of small trinkets that he thinks you'll like

Thunks it was worth the money after seeing you smile

All in all, both Affogato and Dark Cacao are interested in you, but everyone knows who's love is real. (It's Dark Cacao's.) NOW FOR THE ONESHOT!!!

Today was slightly different than most. It wasn't snowing as hard as usual, and most importantly, the king set aside this day specially for you! A few weeks prior, the two of you had agreed to spend a full day just touring the town. The only problem was your 'boss'.

Affogato Cookie was totally against you taking a day off, especially since it was going to be used to spend time with the king. You would beg, and pleade, until he eventually broke... kind of.

"Alright doll, let's make a tiny deal. You can get the day off if and only if I am allowed to accompany you for your outing," he would explain.

You would sigh, but ultimately agreed to the deal. You didn't want to cancel plans, after all.

You, along with Affogato Cookie would make your way to the agreed meeting spot. Waiting there already was Dark Cacao.

"Oh, what is Affogato doing here?" He would ask.

"I just thought I would come along. You don't mind, right?" Affogato would ask, having a mischievous smile on his face.

"I guess not," sighed Dark Cacao, but it was obvious that both of you minded.

"Wonderul! Let's get going then, yes?" Affogato would start walking in front of you without waiting for an answer. Not want to be left behind, Dark Cacao and you followed suit.

It was supposed to be a day where just you and Dark Cacao would be together, but Affogato had other plans. He first stopped at a stall, where there were many small bracelets, keychains, and small things like that. The twist was that they were meant for couples.

"Oh look doll, we should get these! My treat of course." Affogato would show you two pairs of rings. Silver, of course, since gold didn't really match his aesthetic.

Dark Cacao would scoff, but not say anything.

"Go ahead," you would mumble, not really caring all that much.

He swiftly purchased the rings and handed one to you. "Now we match~" He'd chime while putting one on.

That was when someone nudged you slightly. When you turned around, you saw that it was Dark Cacao. He had purchased more expensive and much more extravagant rings.

"For you." He'd say, giving you one.

Affogato was clearly displeased and sent a glare towards Dark Cacao before regaining that sly smile.

"Let's go get lunch at that one diner near the edge of town," suggested Dark Cacao.

"No no no, that diner is for the commoners! We should go to the new one. It's much more fit for a person like you~" Affogato would say while looking towards you.

He didn't wait for an answer before taking your hand and leading you towards the restaurant he had mentioned.

Dark Cacao was the one glaring now, but didn't dare say anything for fear of upsetting you.

The restaurant was nice. Affogato knew what he was talking about when he said this place was fancy.

You threw were sat down at a table immediately, seeing how you were with the king himself.

The food itself was fantastic, though, it would have been nicer if Affogato didn't blatantly flirt with you so often.

Dark Cacao would roll his eyes after each thing Affogato said, and decided to talk about much more engaging things. Things you were more interested in.

Affogato paid no attention to it.

Once that whole ordeal was over, Affogato went to another stand and bought flowers for you- To which Dark Cacao immediately bought a bigger bouquet. The two of them were non stop spoiling you with things.

It was the same. Someone would suggest or buy you something, and the other would suggest or buy you something better.

This was going to be a long day...
