Trots are funny to me cause they're basically what everyone thinks communists are like if they aren't a communist. When I started to look into communism more it was mostly on either anarchist or (mainly) ML spaces and in both cases I was like "wow these people are (in general) way cooler than I thought" so it sort of threw me for a loop to learn that, no actually, the stereotype of the annoying communist guy who decries all AES as revisionist and not true communism is very real, I just had been able to avoid them up to that point lmao

Hmm now that would explain why that "stereotype" even exists. Trots were basically the usamerican state approved variety of communism since they vehemently opposed the USSR throughout the cold war (and even before it).

Hi pretty☻

i finnaly do a fast for 16,5 hour! and eat somme mash potaoes, it's call mousline and it's like 66kcal/100g , it was my safe food at hospital. Because i'm a lactose intolerante so mousline was prepared without milk and butter. Today my mom put some butter but i ae anyway. I'm feeling guilty huh. But i throw up half of my meal. And i don't ate today. Feeling guilty is the worst !!!

i weighed myself and i'm at 36,4 , before eat i was 36. But the density is not importante...It's calories. like , u can eat 400 ml of oil and take weight or eat 400gr of apple and lose weight. So i struggle with myself now..

I was gonna do the first question then I realized I only had 4 fave books in 2023 😭 it was SUCH a flop year lmfao

So here are 9 books on my 2024 tbr!!

1. The Mask of Mirrors by M.A Carrick. I’ve been looking for an adult fantasy series that isn’t intricate high fantasy or just romance, and this also has added elements of criminal characters, deceiving rich people, and a hot masked ml.

2. The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy. I’ve wanted to read Roy for a long time.

3. Vicious by V.E Schwab. I love the idea of superpowers gone horribly wrong, and all the characters seem so interesting.

4. Pachinko by Min Jin Lee. I love historical fiction so much.

5. The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. This one seems really fun tbh.

6. As Long As the Lemon Trees Grow by Zoulfa Katouh. Again I love historical fiction.

7. Washington Bullets by Vijay Prashad. I’ve wanted to read this for FOREVER.

8. Summer Bird Blue by Akemi Dawn Bowman. Aroace lead!!! Story about grief!! Summer vibes!!

9. Heavenly Tyrant by Xiran Jay Zhou. Granted I will def need to re-read Iron Widow again lol, but I’m so ready for this omg!!!

List of dramas where the large age gaps (regardless of gender) didn’t deter the chemistry or ruin the drama for you, including noona romances where the age gap IS the plot

And dramas where they didn’t. I ask because I have been recommended the Turkish drama Aziz and I’m hesitant because the age gap between the two bothers me too much. Of course it is just my opinion and no one else’s and I could be wrong about it but it posed a major hindrance to me

sure! here's some that come to mind--not taking into account actual actor ages because i am too lazy to look them up :'D

Female Lead is the Older One aka Noona Romances

empress ki. QUEEN SHIT. she's older & more experienced in life than her ultimate love interest (#spoilers) and the chemistry is A++++

find yourself was a fun if average drama, but the chemistry between the leads was A+

the glory okay there's not a ton of shippiness yet, but i'm 100% sold on the potential of them in the first half

someday or one day is kind of screwy, since it's about time travelers, so who's the oldest switches around quite a bit. alice ke i think is more than 5 years older than her love interest though

eternal love: ten miles of peach blossoms. the female lead i think is like. 10s of thousands of years older than her final love interest; visually they look around the same age though #immortals

my fated boy bored me and i ended up dropping it, but the chemistry iirc was fine and the show operates on the noona romance trope

the rise of phoenixes im actually not sure how old the characters are supposed to be, but there's a sizable age gap IRL between them. the chemistry is RIDICULOUS

love between fairy and devil sort of counts? visually, they're around the same age, but the male lead has 1000s of years on the female lead in-story #immortals

because this is my first life has two couples where there's an age gap and they're both pretty great

moon lovers: scarlet heart ryeo is an entertaining rollercoaster mess of a drama, and the leads have great chemistry

my liberation notes this one isn't as straight up romantic as the other dramas listed, but there's about a 10 year gap between the leads and they work really well together

when a man falls in love. this drama is not universally liked (in fact, most people hate it but THEYRE WRONG), but it basically operates on the age gap/power gap trope and is a dysfunctional ride full of morally grey characters. i loved it, but i love mess so take that as you will

romance is a bonus book. i didnt vibe with the main couple and i think the ML had some big maturity problems as of where i left off. also i never mentally got over the fact that she was divorced A FULL ASS YEAR and he didnt know????

cheese in the trap. i liked this drama but the ML just felt way, way older than everyone around him so it’d be a little off when he’d get involved in the petty campus antics

mr sunshine. i didnt feel it between eugene and ae sin. at all. literally any of her other love interests would have been preferred

the artstyle and animation is soooo pretty... and the mc might be relatable for those who arent confident talking in front of other people. havent finished it yet tho, but super chill.

another (not anime, but based off a manga) that im watching is the bl cherry magic

their dynamics is super fun (cool headed ml actually super crazy in love with panicking mc) and i just caught up with the manga... mmm love them sm

Did they do this series in a hurry?

Too many loose ends. I can not comprehend. It dragged and then picked up and then too many time skips, i had to guess a lot of things.

1. How long did it take for Minji to heal? Like girl was in and out of the hospital

2. How and when did the ML's mum agree to the marriage, last we heard she made ger quit her job?

3. Who was that guy at the last scene at rex?

4. Why was SJ's stepmum so vindictive wat was her story? Is she the reason for the father's last divorce?

5. Ms Choi, Why did she hate the FL?

6. What did she promise SJ though? She told her husband that she promised his son, we want to know what?

7. So that guy who was abducted n killed was never revisited, what happened about that story?

8. How about the driver who hit Minji? What happened to him? Not even a mention?

9. What happened to Min Jin? Did she give up? Ae Ra? Her mum, did she just allow hyunseng to just marry the guy everyone was fighting for the whole series???? Just like that.

10. What happened with Hibull? Last we heard there was going to b a board meeting but we never got to know wat happened there?

11. What about the friends and the betrayal? Are we going to ignore that it didn't happen? Huh?

This series does not make sense. Did they run out of budget perhaps? It had a good cast and goos story, the acting was soooooo good but it was a messsssss!!! The production is extremely poor, Netflix disappointed me on this one.

They had good chemistry tho i screamed wit frustrations most of the times. Amazing leads!!!!!!

but yes i'm loving this kdrama too, i love the cinematography and the dialogue in it, i already knew i was in love with ahn bohyun but oh my god im discovering shin hye-sun with this one and i love her so so much shes such a good actress!! i just love it when fls arent afraid to shower the ml with love, even though hes not reciprocating it rn 😭 i love their dynamic so far!! and tbh i hadnt even noticed how easy things had gone for ji-eum, i think after watching so many kdramas i dont even clock that sorta stuff because it always happens 😭 like everything just coincides in the most perfect way possible for them lol, it is kind of annoying thats true, i guess the writers just wanted to show the beginning of how she'd found her "niece" and seo-ha again, then have a time skip so that the romance was actually age appropriate lol. i think what i have a conflict with is that it'd probably make more sense for her to just tell them who she is, but of course that would make the drama a lot shorter so they can't have that haha, i'm sure they would believe her because in her 18th life as ju-won she was already saying things about having past lives etc. but i also like this thing shes got going on of making him fall for her as ji-eum and not ju-won. im excited to see him heal, im also excited to cry more about her and cho-won because they are cute, and i swear cho-won deserves the world i dont trust the assistant friend guy yet (cant even rmb his name) but we'll see if he steps up. so yes sorry this ended up getting long haha but im really looking forward to this weekend for the new eps, waiting is torture and i really hope they will continue with the high quality bc this is such a strong start for me !! thank u for the ask anon!!!
