I started listening to Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez on audiobook, and, to be honest, I sort of picked it as a hate read, (1) because it is a romcom, and I deeply dislike romance novels with rare exception (2) because the main characters are doctors, and I was expecting the medical inaccuracies to drive me crazy. But I’m a few chapters in now, and I gotta say, this is a fun book. I’m already pretty charmed by her characters, and I hope she can keep it up.

There’s a scene where the male love interest meets the female lead at work, and he’s so astonished by how beautiful she is that he becomes an awkward fumbling mess. And on the one hand, that’s corny af. On the other hand, why isn’t this happening to me? When is some hot doctor gonna be totally dumbstruck by my beauty at work, huh??
