(Ok)Cats Have Nine Lives
Complete crack one-shot of a better ending for Heartbeat (2023)
(I can't take all the credit for this. It is the result of a rant with my mom and sister about the many ways this ending could have been better.)

The tone of the funeral was morose, as could be expected. For someone who waited hundreds of years to feel his heart beat, it was terribly tragic to think he never would. There was hope that he would find her again, but hope is a poor consolation prize when staring at Woo-hyeol’s dead body.
Creaking on the staircase made all the mourners turn. There stood a chicken. No no, there stood a chicken WITH A KNIFE.
The chicken tottered its way down the stairs and towards the coffin. With a puff of blue smoke the chicken was suddenly a man. The man took slow steps towards Woo-hyeol’s body and extended his hand into the coffin. His hand tilted upwards, flexing his fingers in time with the thumping sound from his mouth.
“Can you feel your heartbeat?” The chicken man spoke for the first time.
Woo-hyeol’s eyes flew open. The audience gasped. He was lifted from the coffin by shimmering green smoke and placed standing on the floor.
“How—? Who are you?” Woo-hyeol asked.
“I am Piyoung. I have made you into a cat spirit”, chicken man said. “Cats have nine lives, therefore, you live again.”
“Why would you do this? I don’t even know you.” Woo-hyeol was dumbfounded.
“My K-pop group needs a sixth member”, Piyoung explained. “Can you rap?”
Woo-hyeol decided to let his talent speak for itself and started spitting mad fire while getting down. Piyoung joined in.
Out of nowhere, four other men appeared. The six men swung their arms against their chests and thumped in perfect sync.
The group disappeared in a rainbow of smoke, leaving behind only a whisper of “JYPee”.

we don’t know, skz just promised it this year in their step out 2020 video. i think it’s going to be plushies like skz versions of 2pm’s zoopm but some other people think it could be skz00 like 00z subunit?? we won’t know until division 1 tells us 😪
